Colby sat in his apartment alone, the feeling of emptiness clear in his chest as he sighed sadly. It felt different not to have roommates, the old lingering excuse to hang out with your friends was probably the best part. He never felt lonely there, even on his darkest days. Sadly, Colby wasn't with them anymore, living alone in the same apartment building as the others. He didn't exactly mind it though, the privacy was great. But there was still the loneliness, the key to Colby's life.

Sam was most special to him. Sam was gorgeously handsome, his hair was perfect, his skin was perfect, his voice was excellent, his personality was perfect, his eyes were highly perfect, his nose was small but masculine, his lips were thin but tasty, his height was perfect, and his body was god-like. Colby loved Sam dearly, both platonic and romantic feelings for the blonde boy. But, Colby didn't see him as much. Yeah, ever since he and Katrina broke up , Sam has been very distant. Colby understands completely but he wants to help.

Colby groaned, getting up and walking to the kitchen to make food. His fridge was basically empty, so, he stuck with grabbing cereal. He grabbed the milk out of the fridge and then grabbed the cereal, pouring it into the small bowl. After putting the milk away, he sat alone at his counter, his head resting on the palm of his hand as he stirred the cereal slowly, his appetite not fully there. Uninterested, Colby got a spoonful of his cereal and slowly ate. The food was bland after having it so many times in his life, so, it didn't give him satisfaction.

Colby placed his half-finished bowl in the sink, not feeling productive enough to clean it. Colby's mind wandered all the way to the same person, Sam. Colby stood for a moment, his back resting against the counter as he stared into space.ย

Should he call Sam?

He wanted to know everything. He wanted to know if Sam was doing okay or if Sam had anything planned. Yes, Colby admits that he misses Sam dearly. The blonde boy made him smile without even trying, his goofy grin making Colby roll on the floor laughing without effort. Like it or not, Colby needed Sam. So, he reached into his pocket and grasped his phone, pulling up Sam's contact and going to messages instead of dialing his phone number.

๐™ธ ๐š ๐šŠ๐šœ ๐š ๐š˜๐š—๐š๐šŽ๐š›๐š’๐š—๐š ๐š’๐š ๐™ธ ๐šŒ๐š˜๐šž๐š•๐š ๐šœ๐š๐š˜๐š™ ๐š‹๐šข ๐šข๐š˜๐šž๐š› ๐š™๐š•๐šŠ๐šŒ๐šŽ ๐šŠ๐š—๐š ๐š‘๐šŠ๐š—๐š ๐š˜๐šž๐š, ๐š’๐š ๐šข๐š˜๐šž'๐š›๐šŽ ๐š๐š˜๐š ๐š—?

Colby sighed, sending the text hesitantly as his hand shook. Why was he so nervous? He used to text Sam all the time without a problem. Maybe it was because of their distance. Colby wasn't so sure, but, it didn't matter to him that badly. So instead, Colby waited patiently for a response from the blonde. Colby played with his fragile rings, rolling and twirling them around on his fingers as it gave a small comforting sensation.

Ding!

Colby excitedly grabbed his phone, a small smile on his face once he heard the notification. He put in his passcode and looked at Sam's message.

๐š‚๐šŠ๐š–๐š–๐šข: ๐™ธ'๐š– ๐š๐š˜๐š’๐š—๐š ๐š‹๐šŽ๐š๐š๐šŽ๐š›. ๐™ธ ๐š ๐š˜๐šž๐š•๐š ๐š•๐š˜๐šŸ๐šŽ ๐š๐š‘๐šŽ ๐šŒ๐š˜๐š–๐š™๐šŠ๐š—๐šข, ๐š‹๐š›๐š˜! ๐š‚๐š˜, ๐š™๐š•๐šŽ๐šŠ๐šœ๐šŽ, ๐šŒ๐š˜๐š–๐šŽ ๐š˜๐šŸ๐šŽ๐š›. ๐š‚๐šŽ๐šŽ ๐šข๐š˜๐šž ๐šœ๐š˜๐š˜๐š—?

Colby smiled gently, his fingers rolling over the letters as he typed in his response.

๐™ฒ๐š˜๐š•๐š‹๐šœ: ๐™ธ'๐š•๐š• ๐š‹๐šŽ ๐š๐š‘๐šŽ๐š›๐šŽ ๐šœ๐š˜๐š˜๐š—, ๐š๐šž๐š๐šŽ.

And just like that, Colby was rushing over to his closet to find a nice outfit to wear. Well, not exactly fancy, but something comfy and presentable. He rummaged through his clothing, looking for a specific purple hoodie and black sweats with a black and white design to them.ย  After finding the cool and comfy pants, Colby found his purple hoodie, the one Sam gave to him when they hit one million on YouTube. Colby loved it, he always wore it whenever he was home or hanging out with Sam, presenting it a few times on camera.

Once Colby put on the pieces of clothing, he rushed downstairs, almost tripping on the stairs a few times. Colby grabbed his keys and made sure his phone was in his pocket, patting his side as reassurance. Once he knew he had everything, he was out the door. He locked his apartment quickly, twisting his key in a rush before pulling it out. Colby then headed toward Sam's apartment at an average speed, not wanting to add suspicion even though there was nothing he'd done.ย

Colby had arrived at the front door of Sam's apartment, his fist hesitating to knock. He calmed his breathing, still not understanding why he was so nervous. It took a second before his fist collided with the door, a knock erupting on the outside and inside of the apartment. Colby gulped, his anxiety rising a little as he heard footsteps come closer. The door was unlatched in front of him, the door seeming to be opening in slow motion, as in reality, it was opening normally. A smiling Sam was revealed, his appearance the same.

"Hey, dude! Come in!" Sam greeted, moving out of the way to let Colby come in. Colby gulped once more, smiling as he walked in the door. "So, what's up?" Sam asked, his voice sweet and caring, almost like a drug as Colby got addicted to it years ago.ย

"Not much, it just... feels lonely over there. It's so odd without roommates." Colby chuckled gently at the end, pulling his sleeves over his hands as he sat down on the couch. Sam sat down next to him, quite close, actually. Colby's cheeks tinted pink gently, not evident enough for Sam to notice Colby's flustered behavior. Sam nodded slowly, looking at his hands before looking back at Colby.

"Yeah, I get it. Even yesterday was weird because I thought that everyone was still living with me." Sam said with a gentle smile, Colby giggling gently at the end. Slowly, Sam wrapped his arm around Colby's shoulder, bringing him closer. Colby flushed red, not understanding the friendly act. "So, anything new?" Sam asked calmly, his arm still around Colby's shoulder. Colby gulped, looking at Sam with his flushed face as he saw nothing but a beautiful face.

"U-Uh, no, nope, nothing exciting. Kinda the reason why I came over," Colby said, a chuckle erupting from Sam's chest as he nodded. But, Sam didn't know that wasn't the real reason why Colby came over.

"Same here, except for... you know," Sam said slightly sad but also relieved. "She just wasn't for me, you know? Yeah, she was beautiful and kind but we didn't connect." Sam said, Colby feeling a little bit of... jealousy? Why was Colby jealous? Colby nodded slowly in sympathy and a little bit of excitement. "Hey, Colbs, I have a question." Colby didn't know why he felt his heart rate pick up, the language of the room changing into something more serious and intimate.

"Shoot," Colby said, gesturing him to ask the question. Sam's arm was still around his shoulder, resting there as he rested and laid back, his back resting on the couch as Colby laid back with him as well.

"Okay... well, does this make you uncomfortable?" Sam asked, his arm moving down to Colby's waist, bringing him closer. Colby's eyes widened, his body against Sam's chest. Colby felt affection and love flutter from his chest. Colby froze, his body still against Sam. Sam also froze, and Colby's reaction flustered. "Sorry..."

"No, no, It doesn't, actually..." Colby said, looking into Sam's eyes. Sam smiled gently, his arms wrapping around Colby's waist lightly and gently as he stared at him with affection.ย

"Really?" Sam asked, wanting to make sure he didn't break any of Colby's boundaries. Colby nodded with a wide smile, moving surprisingly closer. Colby, now sat on Sam's lap comfortably with his legs on either side of Sam's, his arms around Sam's shoulders as Sam's hands were placed on his waist. Colby was no longer flustered, Sam now being bright red as he stuttered. "C-Colby..." Sam mumbled, his fingers digging into Colby's hips.

"So, what other questions do you have?.." Colby purred, smirking as he waited for Sam to ask him out. Yes, Colby was waiting for Sam to ask him out, crazy, right? Sam's face started to calm down, his flushed cheeks now a gentle light pink as he smiled, rubbing circles into Colby's hips.

"Colby, will you be my boyfriend? Sorry if this is moving too fast, but, it's been on my mind for around a year now, and-"

Sam was cut off by a deep kiss, Colby's arms wrapping around Sam's neck tightly as he kissed him. Colby moaned quietly into this kiss, his voice angelic. Sam broke the kiss with a smile, grasping Colby's head and placing it on his chest. "So, is that a yes?"

"Have I not made it obvious, Sam? Yes, I'll be your boyfriend." Colby said, both of them chuckling lightly as Sam kissed the top of Colby's head. Colby snuggled into Sam's chest, still on Sam's lap as he cuddled closer.

"Good. Because I love you, Colby," Sam said gently, kissing the top of his head once more. Colby giggled, lifting his head up and giving Sam a kiss on the lips, deepening it before breaking it as he said,

"I love you more, you piece of garbage,"
