Third Person's pov:
Tokyo, a mesmerizing blend of tradition and innovation, filledย with vibrant energy. Skyscrapers adorned with neon lights pierce the night sky, reflecting the city's modernity, while historic temples and shrines whisper tales of centuries past. Tokyo is a captivating spectrum where tradition dances with innovation, creating an unforgettable sensory tapestry.
In the year 1998 a newly married couple moved to Tokyo. They always had plans of leaving their country. As much as they loved India, they thought that they should move to a more developed country for a better life of their future family.
Siddharth and Kavya Yadav moved to Tokyo with many hopes, one of them being to give their future children better opportunities and to make them culturally diverse. They were very religious and their ishtdev was Damodar. When they shifted to Japan they made sure to have a separate place for the mandir in the house.
In 1999, Kavya got pregnant with their first child. During her pregnancy, she would sit down in the mandir infront of the idols of RadhaKrishna and would read Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta for hours, she would do japa whenever she got time. Her mother had once told her that whatever the mother does in the time of pregnancy, her child would develop those habits when they grow up.
The day when the couple's babygirl was born was most definitely the best day in their life. They threw a grand party and invited all their relatives from India, their entire neighbourhood took part in the celebration happily, congratulating them and bringing gifts for the new born.
Soon it was time to name the baby. They organised the Naamkaran ceremony and performed all the rituals for the prosperous life of their little Ishika.
Time flew by quickly and Ishika started to grow. During her childhood she was religious just like her parents wanted. She was well versed with the culture of Japan and the cultures of her motherland. But as she grew older she started to drift away from her religion and started to lean towards atheism. It was a result of the peer influence, most of her friends were atheists and believed that science was the ultimate truth. The more time she spent with them the more she thought that they are right.
By the age of eighteen she had many arguments with her parents that religion wasn't real and that there is no God. This of course infuriated her parents and thus came a big crack in their bond.
When she was selected in one of the most prestigious universities of medical studies all her parents did was congratulate her with small smiles, almost as if they didn't want to talk to her. She moved out of the house soon after as she bought an apartment near her university from all her savings.
Ishika was a smart worker but she knew hard work was still needed, no one can be successful without having the capability of doing both hard work and smart work. So, she started to look for a part time job to support herself financially. She made up her mind that she would work in a cafรฉ, and to her fortune she found one which was cozy, the people were nice, but she didn't know that she was in for a big surprise, she would find out later that this cafรฉ had a.....magical touch to it.
Author's note:
Hey guys! I hope you liked the prologue, This story idea has been in mind since I read "Before the Coffee Gets Cold" and I could not stop myself any further. I have a great feeling about this book, it is going to be very well written since I have spent lots of time constructing the plot of this unlike my first story which was me letting my intrusive thoughts win and starting a story in the middle of night hehehe. Well, do show comment about how you feel about it.
