REAL LIFE

"Hey, we've gotta get going," Malcolm announced as he knocked on the girls' hotel room.

"Okay," they called back in unison before gathering their things. Hannalynn locked the door once Ayla left and followed the others outside and into the bus to head to the Fonda Theatre. The ride was mostly silent, until when they had arrived and were unloading, Jack called out Finn's name.

"Hey, Finn?" Jack called as Finn grabbed his guitar case. "Can we talk real quick?"

"Yeah, sure," Finn stood up his case. "What's up?"

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry," Jack began. "You know, for how I acted. I shouldn't have let all that dumb stuff get in the way of our friendship."

"It's okay Jack," Finn gave him a small smile before extending his hand. "Besties for life?"

Jack laughed and gave him a fist bump. "Of course. Now let's get going." They grabbed their instruments and equipment and headed inside to start setting up what they needed.

Hannalynn was finishing up her makeup when she saw Finn approach her from behind through the mirror's reflection. He smiled and wrapped his arms around her from behind, his head resting on her shoulder.

"You ready?" Finn asked.

"Yeah, I'm ready," she replied with a small smile.

"Cool," Finn turned her chair to face him. Just as he opened his mouth to speak, someone ran in and jumped on Finn.

"FINN!!!" The person screamed. Hannalynn looked over and realized that Jaeden Lieberher was screaming with excitement while on Finn's back. His girlfriend, Lilia Buckingham, was standing behind him laughing.

"JAEDEN HEY!" Finn screamed back as Jaeden got off his back and hugged him. "And hey Lilia!"

"Hi Finn!" Lilia grinned and then walked over to hug Hannalynn. "And Hannalynn! It's so nice to finally meet you!"

"You too!" Hannalynn greeted as she hugged her back, and then Jaeden. "Both of you!"

"Hey, wasn't Wyatt coming with you?" Finn asked Jaeden.

"And Cate?" Hannalynn added.

"Yeah, Cate's almost here," Lilia nodded as she checked her phone.

"And Wyatt got a little... distracted on the way here," Jaeden said with a small wink just as Wyatt entered the room, a girl by his side. Just like Jaeden, Wyatt screamed Finn's name and engulfed him in a hug, and then greeted Hannalynn as well.

"So, who's this?" Finn asked Wyatt, referring to the girl he brought that they had never seen before.

"This is Bella, I met her today at the train station," Wyatt smiled as the girl waved shyly. "She's also a big Calpurnia fan, I hope you don't mind that we brought her here with us."

"No it's fine," Finn smiled. "Nice to meet you Bella."

"You too," she smiled back. "It's great to meet all of you, I love your music."

"Thanks!" Hannalynn grinned just as the other three band members came out on stage. They all introduced each other and chatted for a few minutes before another person joined them.

"HANNALYNN MARIE ROGERS!" Hannalynn turned around to see Cate Henderson racing over to give her a hug.

"Cate! Oh my god you're finally here!" Hannalynn exclaimed with excitement.

"Sorry I'm late, you know LA traffic," Cate laughed. "But it's so great to finally meet you in person! I've been waiting so long for this day!"

"Me too!" Hannalynn and Cate hugged each other once again before Cate introduced herself to the others. They continued to talk for a few more minutes until they were called out on stage. Wyatt, Bella, Jaeden, Lilia, and Cate all wished them luck before heading down into the crowd to watch their best friends perform.

"Han," Finn called out as he grabbed her hand beside she went out on stage. "We were going to perform our solos tonight, you in to do yours?"

"Yeah, I'm down," Hannalynn smiled. "Gotta get over some of my fears, right?"

Finn smiled back and gave her a hug. "You've got this, Han. I know you'll do great. Share your talent with the world."

They headed out on stage and performed their songs as a group before starting their solos. Once everyone else was finished, all eyes were on Hannalynn. She felt her heart start to race, her hands starting to sweat. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, calming herself slightly, before pressing her fingers down on the keys for her first chord. Before she knew it, she had played and sang her heart out, the crowd and her friends cheering for her. She grinned and wiped away her tears as Finn came over and wrapped his arms around her.

"I knew you could do it, Han," Finn said into her ear. "You were incredible!"

"Thank you, and so were you by the way," Hannalynn replied.

"Thanks," he smiled once again before taking her hand. All five members of Calpurnia held each other's hands and lifted them up in the air, grinning at their audience, knowing that this is what they wanted to do for the rest of their lives; bring people together through their music.

A/N: i love how i've been working on this draft for like 3 weeks but because school has already kicked me in the ass i forgot about it, whoops

but yeah, my dudes, there is only one more chapter left in this story and an epilogue, and then city girl will come to an end :'( i'm gonna miss writing this and honestly every single character in this story (especially my oc hannalynn) are my little babies and i love them sfm, but this won't be the end, because my story "small town girl" is a spin-off of this, so all the same characters will still be around ;)
