REAL LIFE

Hannalynn and Ayla heard a loud knock echo through their hotel room the next morning. Hannalynn stood up and opened the door to see Hunter and Cenzie outside, who screamed and threw their arms around their best friend.

"Oh my god hi!!" Hannalynn grinned once she pulled away. "How'd you guys find me?"

Hunter lifted her phone screen and pulled out Snapchat. "There's a thing called the Snapmap, Hanna Banana. But oh my god I've missed you so much!"

"I've missed you too! It's been so long!" Hannalynn replied.

"Hey Ayla," Cenzie peered around the door and waved as Hunter's eyes went wide.

"Oh my god, Ayla is...in there?!" Hunter exclaimed as the two girls nodded. Hunter peered around and saw Ayla wave, and she screamed even louder than she had before as she ran in and hugged Ayla.

"Hi, Hunt," Ayla laughed as she pulled away.

"H-H-H-Hi, A-Ayls," Hunter laughed nervously as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "I've been wanting to meet you for, like, ever."

"I'm glad we've finally met," Ayla smiled. "Love your makeup, by the way."

"Thank you," Hunter replied as she blushed, her cheeks turning even more pink.

"What was all the yelling about—" Malcolm began as he entered the room before screaming when he saw who was in the room. "WIFEY!!!" He ran over and threw his arms around Cenzie, who hugged him back.

"Hi, hubby baby," Cenzie smiled as she laid her head on his shoulder.

"Oh okay, guess I'm invisible," Hunter said before Malcolm came over and gave her a hug as well.

"I've finally met the infamous Hunter Grace," Malcolm said as Hunter laughed. Jack and Finn entered the room next and greeted their friend for the first time with a hug. After hugging Hunter, Finn turned around and made eye contact with Hannalynn for a split second before she looked away.

"Well, Hanna, Hunter, and I were planning on hanging out this afternoon to get our nails done before your show, and then maybe we can hang out with you all afterwards?" Cenzie suggested.

"Sounds good," they all agreed.

"Great! See ya later dudes," Cenzie waved before the girls grabbed their purses and left the hotel room. They walked about a block before reaching the nail salon and were each seated next to each other.

"So, Hanna, how does it feel to be back in the home of the famous mouse?" Cenzie asked.

"Feels great since I got to see you two," Hannalynn replied.

"So, I know I'm not usually the one to ask but, got any tea? Details? Anything interesting?" Hunter asked with a slight laugh.

Hannalynn hesitated; Hunter had just met people she looked up to, and Cenzie was extremely close with everyone, especially Malcolm, and she didn't want to ruin that. So she replied with, "Nah, not really. I'm sure you guys heard, but Hack and Fayla went on a double date."

"Yes! It sounded so cute," Hunter gushed. "But I was disappointed to not see more pictures."

"Yeah, it didn't give me anything to make a Calpurnia Tea video with," Cenzie whined before Hannalynn glared at her, causing Cenzie to burst out laughing.

"Anyway, there was quite a lot of drama after that Sonora video," Hunter continued. "How did Jack take it?"

"I mean he said he was a little jealous, and I guess it has to do with the fact that he and I haven't kissed—" Hannalynn began before getting interrupted by Cenzie gasping.

"You two still haven't kissed? You act like a second grade couple, I swear."

"Cenzie!" Hunter exclaimed. "They're just taking it slow."

"Thanks, Hunter," Hannalynn smiled at her friend. "And it was just for the music video, it's not like it meant anything."

Cenzie scoffed. "Right. You could have said no if you didn't want to kiss him or make Jack upset or whatever, yet you went with it, so I think deep down inside, part of you wanted to kiss Finn."

Hunter sighed. "Slow down before jumping to conclusions, Cenz, I'm sure Hanna just didn't want to back out. Right?"

"Yeah, right," Hannalynn nodded, but she wasn't really listening to Cenzie or Hunter after what Cenzie said; was it possible that maybe she did want to kiss Finn? After all, it was her first kiss, shouldn't she have said that she would rather save it for someone she had feelings for? Or, did she agree to kiss Finn because she did have feelings for him?

"Hello? Earth to Hanna?" Cenzie waved in her face, snapping Hannalynn out of her daze.

"Yeah? Hmm?" Hannalynn asked.

"What color?" Cenzie eyed the nail polish that was laid in front of Hannalynn.

"Oh, right," she let out a laugh before choosing her color and chatting with her friends about the exciting concert later that night.

"Hanna, we're on in ten," Malcolm announced as he walked by.

"Okay," Hannalynn nodded before double checking her makeup and heading towards where the others were. Hunter and Cenzie were chatting with everyone, but mostly with who they were crushing on, before Hannalynn showed up.

Finn tried to approach her and began, "Han, can we please just talk—"

"Leave me the hell alone, Wolfhard," Hannalynn snapped.

"Woah, is everything okay?" Hunter asked as she approached the two with a concerned look on her face, Ayla trailing behind looking nervous.

"No, Hunter, it isn't," Hannalynn said before glaring at Finn and Ayla. "And these two are to blame."

"Hanna? What happened?" Cenzie stood between her and Hunter.

"Hanna?" Jack was next to approach her as he placed his hands on her shoulders. "Tell us, what's wrong?"

Hannalynn took a deep breath; she didn't want to ruin the mood before a performance, but she just couldn't take it anymore. It may not have been the smartest idea, but she began to explain everything.

"Well, apparently, Finn had a crush on me or whatever, so he and Ayla came up with a mastermind plan to fake date to try and make me jealous," Hannalynn explained angrily.

"Dude! Why would you do that?!" Jack exclaimed as he approached Finn. "You could have just told us you liked Hanna!"

"But you asked her out! I didn't want to ruin everything between all of us!" Finn said.

"Well it's kind of too late for that now," Jack shoved past him. "I'm getting my stuff to set up on stage, we're on in five."

Hannalynn looked around to see the looks on Cenzie and Malcolm's faces, which didn't show any shock or anger or anything, really, but guilt. "Wait, did you guys know about this?"

"Hanna—" Cenzie began as she tried to reach for her hand, but Hannalynn snatched it away, her eyes growing wide at the realization.

"This was all you, wasn't it?" Hannalynn watched her friend's eyes water, Malcolm standing next to her looking just as guilty.

"Hanna, I didn't mean for this to happen—" Cenzie began, her voice breaking.

"You know what, Cenzie? Just leave me alone, don't talk to me or try to contact me," Hannalynn said angrily.

"You... you planned this, Cenzie?" Hunter asked her best friend, her bottom lip quivering.

"Hunter, babe—" Cenzie's voice trailed off as Hunter wiped away her tears.

"I can't believe you would do this to me when you knew how I felt!" Hunter exclaimed before looking over at Malcolm. "And you were in on this too, weren't you?"

"Yes," Malcolm admitted before looking down at his shoes.

"Hunt—" Ayla placed her hand on her shoulder before Hunter shook her off.

"And out of all the people here, I didn't think you'd be the one to betray me!" Hunter cried. "I can't believe I was stupid enough to think you might have possibly liked me too!"

Ayla's eyes grew wide. "You like me?"

"It doesn't matter anymore," Hunter said as her bottom lip continued to quiver. "I wouldn't want to be with someone who lies to the whole world anyway." She then ran off the stage as Ayla called out her name and tried to run after her, but Malcolm held her back.

"Ayla, we're on now," Malcolm said gently as she got out of his arms and walked off onto the stage as he followed. Cenzie and Finn both eyed Hannalynn sadly as she shook her head and marched off onto the stage, fighting back tears during the whole performance as she realized that she may have lost all of her friends that night.
