"Oh, my God, this is amazing." Kallie sat on the chair in the private jet looking at all the positive responses to her album that just came out the previous day on the 5th. Lewis and Kez threw her a huge party at this LA club where a ton of celebrities and friends showed up. It was absolutely amazing. She had been overwhelmed with emotions. Every clip of the party was trending as well since Beyoncรฉ, Jay-Z, Taylor, Drake, and so many other celebrities had attended. Even majority of the grid had showed up.
"They all love it." Kallie giggles excitedly, Lewis just smiling down at her, enjoying how happy she had been in the past 24hrs. She hadn't wiped that grin off her face and he couldn't blame her. "It's a brilliant album, of course they love it." He chuckles, pressing a kiss to her head. "That video of Kezie drunk singing that country song is stuck in my head. She looked so hot." Lando expressed, rewinding the video again. "Can you go one second without hitting on my sister?" Kaylen deadpanned.
"That's like asking a panda to stop eating bamboo," Carlos comments. Yes, Carlos had joined them on the jet as he was at the party as well and who was he to turn down a free flight to Turkey? Not to mention, he was still reminiscing the moments of Kezie singing Smooth Operator live. When he said he couldn't make it to her birthday, she said, "okay, I'll sing it for you right now then" and well, let's just say Lando was very proud. (he almost fainted)
"You can fuck off. You literally almost passed out on Megan Thee Stallion when Kez sang Smooth Operator last night!" Lando points out. Kaylen giggles at the memory, Megan's reaction had been so funny and wholesome. "So what? It's Smooth Operator!" Carlos scoffs. Lewis laughs at their bickering, resting his head tiredly on Kallie's shoulder. "Never let me party with your drunk sister again."
"Drunk Kezie is the best Kezie." Lando points out, overhearing his comment.
"He's got a point. Kez is mad fun when she's wasted." Kaylen agrees. Lando giggles, replaying the video of Kez singing Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood. "Her fake country accent when she sings is so hot. She pulls it off so well." It was quite funny cause Lando had been the one to dare her to sing the song. The song choice was because when Kez was in the performance arts high school, she sung this song at a talent show and it was recorded so it was all over the internet.
"Ja, now it's trending all over Twitter." Kaylen comments, scrolling on his phone, his page being flooded with stuff about the party and the album. Everyone was screaming over the fact that Lewis was in the producer and writer credits. Her songs were already going viral on TikTok as well. People were making edits and what not. Then her fans were getting on Sean and Jhenรฉ about what they did to Kallie in the worst moments of her life. It was...honestly entertaining to see them get their karma.
The music videos were also going viral so that was nice to see. There was tons of edits of her and Lewis in the videos, plus the bts shots of them that they released on her YouTube channel. "You're gonna win so many awards for this album." Lewis mumbled, pressing a kiss to her shoulder. Kallie grinned, pulling him into a kiss, both of them unaware of Lando snapping a photo of this. Five minutes later, they were scolding Lando for posting it on his Instagram story.
Of course he'd be the first one to post them kissing that wasn't in front of thousands at the Grand Prix.
When they got to Turkey, they all got something to eat before heading to the hotel together. Everyone got to their respective rooms, Kaylen conveniently across Lewis and Kallie's room. Keziyah and Kaikara got there shortly, having the room right beside the married couple. This was the only race the whole family could attend, as Kez had made sure everyone had a clear schedule. The kids and Michael would be there the next day.
"That's a pretty ring. Where'd you get it?" Kez questioned, she, Kallie, and their mother were just walking about the city as Kai had never been there before and Kez only been there once for a show. "Oh, uh I don't know, Lewis got it for me." Kallie smiled nervously, hoping Kez didn't recognize it to be a wedding ring. "Promise ring?" Kez asked, examining the ring, it was a very gorgeous ring that suit Kallie beautifully. (imagine it how u like)
"Uh yeah, I guess so." Kallie nods, in all honesty she didn't know what a promise ring was. She never had a promise ring before.
They arrived at a small lunch place and walked inside, taking their seats at a table, everyone staring at them with whispers because it's not every you see two celebrities and their mother walk into a small lunch shop. "So, I've been told your uncle is now working for you, yes?" Kaikara questions towards Keziyah in Xhosa as Kai didn't like speaking in English unless it was absolutely necessary. "Yes. He's unfortunately our best chance at making a successful car that Kallie can win in."
Kai hums, she wasn't surprised that he was back into her daughter's lives, and surprisingly she supported it. She knew her husband would've wanted it that way. He didn't want the family torn apart. "How has that been? Has he made amends?" Kaikara asked, causing Kez to scoff under her breath. "Wouldn't know, I'm not giving him any chance to. He doesn't deserve my forgiveness." Kez shrugs stubbornly.
"Stubborn girl." Kaikara pinched Kezie's arm with a glare, causing the singer to wince. "Your father would not want you to be so hostile. Forgiveness is important in this family. God forgives. You can forgive. I have my problems with your uncle but we move past them for the sake of your father. He would've wanted his brother to look after his children. He made mistakes that he regrets. We must move on and look towards the future. He is changing his past behavior. He is redeeming himself. But he cannot do that without our support."
"Why should he get my support? Where was his support when I had Kamari? Where was his support when I begged for his help? No where to be seen. He doesn't deserve my support. Fuck that." Kez scoffs, causing Kai to smack her arm for her language. "Language. I understand why you're hesitant, I would be too. But you must understand, you uncle left his family for your father, he left his home in Korea to come live with us in Africa. We were poor, I was an intern making barely enough to feed you girls. When money is finally placed in front of you, you grow a little selfish. He grew selfish. He made mistakes. But we shouldn't cast him out because of those mistakes."
"Mama's right, Kez." Kallie adds, her sister just staring blankly into her cup of coffee.
"I don't know. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. But his redeeming isn't gonna happen overnight." Kez shrugs, taking a sip of the coffee as the waitress came over with their food. Kai noticed how Kallie had been ordering vegan food lately and raised a brow. "You're going vegan now because of Lewis, yes?" She questioned. "Oh, uh, I'm just trying it out, we think it's better for my health. It's my decision though, he had nothing to do with it." Kallie answered, and it was true, it was her decision, the doctors also suggested it.
"Ah, okay. That's good." Kai smiled, she just didn't want to see Kallie start to lose herself again. She didn't want a repeat of what happened with Sean and how he controlled everything and made decisions for her. After lunch, they went back to the hotel as it was getting late. Kallie got changed into gym clothes and headed down to the gym, Kez and Kaikara meeting her there as they didn't have anything to do and they needed to burn off the lunch they had anyways.
"I haven't even been on social media and I've gotten so many calls from Neela, its insane." Kez chuckles as she was spotting Kallie who was lifting. "That's probably a good thing. You went viral, again." Kallie replies, setting the bar back down with Kezie's help. "It's like 2012 all over again." She mutters, picking up her bottle as her younger sister wiped her sweaty face.
"Mama, you ready to go?" Kallie asked. Kaikara nods, "ewe, let's go."
Kallie walked back into her hotel room after waving goodbye to her sister. She heard the shower going on and set her bottle and phone down. She walked into the bathroom, discarding her clothes with a grimace. "You almost done?" She questioned. "Yeah, just come in here." He replied, opening the shower door. She stepped in with a sigh, Lewis raising a brow at how sweaty she was, "gym?" She nodded, humming as he spread the body wash across her shoulders. "How'd your mum take the news?"
"I uh, I haven't told her yet." Kallie mumbles.
Lewis sighs, obviously he knew how hard it was to tell Kaikara that Kallie had cancer, which is why he offered to tell her with Kallie but she turned it down. "I could always help you, Kallie. I know it's hard. But she needs to know. It's very important that she knows you're getting better." He says. She sighs, slightly nodding in agreement, "I know, but it's my mum. It's just hard. She's already been through so much almost losing Kezie and actually losing my father. I don't want her to stress."
"Darling, your mum is one of the strongest women I've ever met. She runs an entire hospital and performs several surgeries every week. She loses patients all the time. She won't break if you tell her. For all we know, she probably already figured it out like Kaylen did." Lewis says, pausing when he realized his mistake. Kallie's eyes widened, quickly turning around to face him. "Please tell me you are joking."
His eyes widened, now normally if she was angry in English, he could handle it, but the minute she was pissed and started speaking in Xhosa, that's when he knew he fucked up. "If I say it was a joke, would you believe me?" He smiled nervously. She shot a firm glare, "does it look like I'm joking with you? How does my brother know?" Lewis pursed his lips awkwardly, "well...you're not exactly that hard to read..."
Kallie glared at him, pointing to the door, "hamba (= go/go away)." He frowned, taking her naked waist in his hands, "I'm sorry, okay, it's just he gave me no choice, we were in the car, he brought it up and you know I'm a horrible liar. He knows you're okay, he knows you're getting better, I already told him. He's not stressing. It's not gonna throw him off, okay? He's not worried anymore." He assures, pushing her wet curls away from her face.
She sighs softly, resting head on his chest, his hands running up and down her back in a soothing manner. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." Lewis scoffs lightly, "I wasn't scared," he denied. She looked up at him with a knowing look, making him roll his eyes and reach for the soap. "Let's just get you cleaned up. Got a big day tomorrow." He mumbles, eyeing her body as he rubbed soap all over her.
"Stop staring at my boobs," Kallie snapped her fingers at him, noticing how distracted he became.
He huffed, "they look pretty, what do you expect from me?"
"We're done here. Go before you try to fuck me against the shower wall." Kallie jokes, gesturing him to leave. Lewis smirks, looking her up and down, "well now that you put it in my head..." He mumbles in a suggestive tone. "Don't look at me like that, it's bad enough your braids are down." She huffs, only fueling his ego. "If you want me to fuck you stupid just say so," he whispers into her ear seductively.
She scoffs, backing up so she was now pinned against the wall, his braids falling in front of his face as he stared down at her. "I don't beg." Lewis chuckles lowly, brushing her hair behind her ear, "yes, you do. You beg for me all the time. Be a good girl and beg for it. You know you want to." He pressed soft kisses on her neck, his hands falling to her waist and lifting her leg around his waist with ease, a soft moan leaving her lips involuntary.
"Please, please, fuck me." She whined, making him smirk and press a kiss to her soft lips.
"I will, but you got to be quiet, love. Your sister's next door and we don't want to wake her, okay?" He spoke, lifting her other leg around him, not giving her a chance to respond as he pushed inside her, a loud moan leaving her mouth. The sounds she made for him were too good to silence. "Fuck it. Let her hear you." He mumbles, thrusting into her again, curses escaping her lips.
"That's it, my beautiful wife."

Lewis woke up with a groan, the sound of loud knocks against the door pulling him from his sleep. "Fucking Kezie." He got up from the bed, Kallie stirring in her sleep. He pulled on some sweats and walked over to the door, pulling it open and faced with Kezie and Kaylen who held bags of food in their hands. "Hey best friend," Kezie giggles, her grin dropping as she pushed past him. Kaylen walked in after and Lewis sighs, shutting the door closed and squinting as Kezie flipped the lights on.
"We got you food, vegan of course." Kaylen says, setting a bag on their bed and sitting on the single sofa in the corner whilst Kezie sat at the chair by the table. "Figured you'd need it. How was the noise complaint?" Kezie smiles sarcastically, Lewis and Kallie both suddenly wide awake as they turned to her with wide eyes. "How'd you know we got a noise complaint?" He questioned.
"I was the one who complained." Kez deadpanned.
Lewis rolled his eyes, sitting on the bed as Kallie pulled out the food to distract her from the embarrassment she was already feeling. "Nervous about practice?" Kezie questions, taking a sip of her smoothie. "Not really." Lewis shrugs. "Kallie, come here, let me braid your hair. I bought this wig and I wanna test it on you first." Kezie says, pulling out a platinum blonde wig with black strands hidden in it. "I'm your test subject now?" Kallie rolls her eyes, walking over and sitting on the floor in front of her sister.
"Yebo. Stop complaining." Kez scoffs, grabbing her comb as she parts her sister's hair.
"You pull too hard!" Kallie winced, and Kez smacked her hand away. "Don't be a baby."
Kaylen chuckles to himself, biting into her sandwich, "you know everyone is freaking out trying to figure out who's gonna sign with Maserati." Lewis chuckles, recalling how he was asked about it yesterday during press. All the drivers got questioned about it but nobody knew for sure what was going to happen. It didn't help that pictures of drivers such as Mick Schumacher, Pierre Gasly, and Sebastian Vettel were seen talking to Sang. And a video of Kallie leaving the Red Bull motorhome was a huge topic on Twitter as well.
"They asked Checo yesterday if he felt like his seat was threatened by Kallie's rumored return," Lewis adds, knowing Kallie had yet to see anything, being so busy yesterday. "What'd he say?" Kezie asked. "He said he wasn't worried because if Kallie took his seat, he could just sign with Maserati." Lewis chuckles, press had been a nightmare yesterday with all the questions being about Kallie, Sang and Maserati. "How'd everyone else take the news?" Kallie asks.
"Well, a lot of the drivers said it would be exciting to have some new competition with Maserati joining. Honestly the news with Maserati is getting tons of positive press. Everyone's excited to have a new team and car on the grid. The big question is whether it's going to be a top team or a midfield team." Kaylen answered. Kez scoffs under her breath, "that's not even a question. Maserati is gonna be competing for Mercedes and Red Bull's spot at the top with Kallie driving for us."
"Gonna have to respectfully scoff at that," Lewis comments.
"Please, you said it yourself, had Kallie not left she would've beat you that year. Let's not mention the fact that Sang had designed the Red Bull car that year as well." Kezie argued. Lewis rolls his eyes, leaning against the headboard as Kallie just giggles. "All right, when the time comes we'll let the cars do the talking." Kaylen rebutted before Lewis and Kez got into an argument. "Oh we will. And we'll be taking that championship with us."
"A bit cocky for someone with no car yet, yes?" Lewis shot back.
"And good reason too, cause didn't Sang design the car Nico Rosberg won his first and only championship with?" Kezie smirked in victory, there was no way he could come back at that.
Lewis's face dropped at the name, a chuckle escaping his lips, "alright, you got me there."
"Thought so."

It was race day, Lewis hadn't done the best in qualifying but Kaylen did, making pole position and starting P1 on the grid. Kez and Michael were showing the kids around the paddock, Mercedes inviting them to come see the garage so they kids got very excited about that. Kaikara and Kallie got the paddock shortly after as Kai was getting emotional, so used to being at the races with Jae-hyun. Sang had been a huge help in comforting her though, holding her hand the entire time.
Christian came up to them, glancing over at Kallie first. "No hard feelings, yeah?" Kallie smiled and nodded, returning his hug. "How are you, Kai? You look stunning." Christian greets, turning to Kaikara. "Thank you, dear. How have you been? You look stressed." Kai grins, sharing an embrace with him, Jae didn't always get along with him but they were still entirely grateful for Christian's support for Kallie.
"I am stressed. It's been a tough season." Christian chuckles, shaking Sang's hand as they were friends when they weren't competing against each other. "Kallie!" Max jogged over, recognizing his friend he used to spend a lot of time with when they were teammates. "Hey Max!" Kallie grinned, accepting his hug. Pulling away, his eyes widened when they landed on Kaikara. "Kai? It's been so long. How are you?" Max quickly pulls her into a warm hug, Kai had always been like a mother to him in a way.
"I'm very good. It's so nice to see you again. You've come so far. I'm so proud of you." Kaikara says, hugging the boy tightly as he smiled, he always loved her hugs, they were filled with so much love. "Thanks, Kai. That means a lot." Max replies, pulling away and rubbing her shoulder warmly, he knew it must've been tough for her to come back to the track without Jae-hyun next to her. "We should get going, my sister's waiting. You guys have a good race," Kallie said, noticing the sprinkling of rain start to fall more.
"Of course. Can I see you after the race? Catch up? Maybe go to dinner?" Max asked Kaikara nervously, the woman smiling warmly at him. "Of course, child. I would love that." She smiled, pressing a kiss to his head, and he smiled, waving them off.
They got to the Merc garage just before it started to rain some more. Kai went to Kez and Michael who were talking with Angela as Kallie went off to the driver's room to see Lewis. She pushed the door open and shut it after her, locking it. "You okay, my love?" Kallie questions, setting her hands on his shoulders as his back was turned to her. He turned around with a hum, looking her up and down, she wore a black laced top with matching black lace pants that hung low on her waist, hugging her body nicely. "Not really. Very stressed out right now."
"I'm sorry, love. What can I do? I can get Angela, your dad or my mum, she's good at pep tal-" She was cut off when his lips met hers, his hands finding her waist and pulling her flush against him. "I just need you, that's all." He wrapped his arms around her and she smiled, accepting his hug. She paused, feeling his hands travel lower, making her pull back to look at him, "we can't. You have a race in like thirty minutes. Sex wears people out."
"Who cares? I'm going to lose anyways. Kaylen's gonna take it home, not me." Lewis breathes out, honestly this race was going to be a struggle for him, especially with Max and Checo in front of him who were only going to be defending against him the whole race to prevent him making podium. He had no chance of winning this one. But Kaylen did and that's who the team was gonna be more focused on today.
"I don't care. I'm not taking that chance." Kallie scoffs, backing away from him before he got more touchy and make her wanna give in.
He frowned, looking down at her with his soft brown eyes. "Stop it with those eyes. You know it's hard to resist." She complains, playfully hitting his arm. He smiled, grabbing her waist and pulling her back, "so stop resisting, you know you want me. I seen you clenching your pretty thighs when you walked in here." He teased, and she huffs, rolling her eyes, only to smile when he cupped her ass in his hands.
"Just once. This will never happen again, understood?" Kallie stated firmly, he just nodded with a smile, not at all taking her serious.
"Understood. Just once. Never again."
As if.

"Kaylen Kumalo crosses the checkered flag and wins the Turkish Grand Prix! His first ever win in Formula 1!" The whole Mercedes garage erupted into cheers, his team climbing onto the gate to congratulate him when he crossed the chequered flag. Kallie screamed excitedly, her mother shaking her with excitement, and it was probably the first time she had seen her mother genuinely smile since her father.
"Yes! That's what I'm talking about! Huge thanks to the team, my mum, my sister's, my whole family, everyone back at the factory, for South Korea, for my home South Africa! I did it, Baba! I fucking did it!" Kaylen shouted in the radio, his message going on air. The team helped Kaikara, and the whole family to the barricade for Kaylen to see them first. Kaylen hopped out of the car and ran to his family, hugging each of them including his niece and nephew.
He shared a long hug with Kai, tears in his eyes. "I love you, Mama." Kai smiled, tears falling of happiness, "I love you so much, my child. He's so proud of you. So proud." Then he hugged Kallie, "thank you for believing in me. I couldn't have done this without you." After his family, he hugged his team, all of them congratulating him. Max walked over, congratulating Kaylen on his first win before going to hug Kaikara, who said how proud she was of him.
Max then shared a small hug with Kallie, and moved to hug Kezie, and high five the two children, Kamari extra happy to see him, also shaking hands with Michael. Checo came and congratulated Kaylen as well. Then Kaylen stood in front of his car and bowed to it, a ton of people snapping pictures at this. This was something Kallie had did after every race she made podium with, she always bowed to her car so it was nice seeing Kaylen carry that on as a tribute to her.
They watched as he shortly went on podium, Lewis joining to watch the podium, very happy for Kaylen. He had finished in P5 but it wasn't a big deal to him, he was just glad Kaylen had won his first race. He'd catch up to Max soon, but for now it was about supporting his rookie teammate. Lewis wrapped his arms around Kallie as she swayed along to the South Africa National Anthem. She hadn't heard it since her last win in Formula 1 so that was a very sweet moment for her to see it being played for Kaylen now.
After the champagne celebration, Max had got his hands on the South Korean flag and held it up to Kaylen so he could bow, another thing Kallie had done after making podium. Kaylen grinned, bowing to his flag, he turned and Checo held up the South African flag to which he then bowed again with a grin. It was amazing to see the two Red Bull drivers so supportive and respectful of Kaylen's heritage. They all smiled as they took the group photo atop the podium.
After the race and post race interviews with all the media, they all gathered in the parking lot trying to decide where to eat. "Oh crap, I already said yes to dinner with Max," Kaikara adds. "Invite him along, he's pretty much family at this point." Kaylen says, honestly nothing could take his smile away. "Yeah, I practically watched the boy grow up, he's family." Kezie chuckles, buckling up her son in the car seat whilst Michael was doing the same with Kamari.
Kaylen spotted Max heading towards his car and called him over. "Max, come here!" Max set his stuff down and jogged over, smiling at the family, Lewis's hand subconsciously tightening around Kallie's waist. "What's up?" Max greets. "We were gonna go to dinner, did you want to join us, mate?" Kaylen offered. Max raised his brows, a bit surprised by the offer but immediately smiled and nodded, "yes, that sounds great. Thank you for the invite."
"You're family, you're always welcome," Kez adds, Max chuckling softy, tucking his hair back which Kallie had always made fun of him for when he started doing that when they were teammates. It was a very funny habit of his. "Thank you, Kez. Should I just follow behind you?" Max asked. Kallie glanced over seeing Max's performance coach waiting for him. "You can ride with me and Lewis, we'll take you back to the hotel, we're on the same floor." Kallie offered, causing Kez to snort.
Max nods, "sounds good, I'll just go tell him to go without me." He quickly jogged over to his coach, explaining the situation.
Lewis pulled his wife over to the car with a clenched jaw, both of them climbing in. "Why can't he ride with your brother?" Lewis exclaimed in disbelief. "Mama is riding with Kaylen and it's a two seater," Kallie argued. "Your mum can ride with us then, or he could've just rode with Sang, don't know why it has to be us," he argues back. Kalllie rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest, muttering in Arabic, "you're just being jealous, and it's not very attractive."
Max entered the backseat of the car with a smile, Kallie turning to look at him as Lewis forced a smile. "Thanks for the ride." Max says, squeezing Kallie's hand with a smile. "Of course. I'm so glad you're joining us. We haven't had a family dinner in so long it's crazy." Kallie laughs softly, her husband withholding the urge to roll his eyes, hating how Max was staring at his wife. "I know, it's been a long time. Remember when we stayed up all night playing video games and Kai told Jae to come and tell us to go to sleep but then he just joined us and Kai got so mad she unplugged it."
Kallie laughed at the memory, there was so many funny stories they had it was crazy. "That was so funny, we were running on Redbulls, leftovers and popcorn." Kallie adds, causing Max to laugh at the memory. "You remember when we went swimming all night and came out all shriveled up like prunes?" Max asked, another laugh escaping her lips. "And Kez threw a bottle of lotion at us and compared us to SpongeBob!" She adds.
This was the whole ride to the restaurant for Lewis, just listening to a million stories of how much fun Kallie and Max used to have. Kez had sent Lewis a text halfway into the ride that read, "what's it like being a 3rd wheel? ๐คฃ๐คฃ" To which he rolled his eyes at because she was right, he felt like such a third wheel. Max exhales, trying to catch his breath from the ongoing laughter with Kallie. "I miss those times."
"Me too," Kallie nods in agreement, she hated looking back at it and seeing how her friendship with Max kind of died out after she left. She only could blame herself. She locked herself away from her friends during that time. Max had tried many times to reach out but eventually stopped when he didn't get any response back. He wish he never stopped.
"Maybe when you come back, we can have some more sleepovers after the races," Max says. Kallie grinned, glancing back at him, his hand finding it's way into hers, Lewis keeping a close eye on that through the mirror. "Yes, I would really love that. You know, you should come to the kids birthday! We decided it's going to be in Monaco so you can just drive over to my house. You can sleepover and everything, it's going to be so much fun."
"Really? I would love that. Can I bring my girlfriend's daughter? She has a daughter that I'm sure would get along with Kamari." Max asked.
"Yes, of course. I'll let Kezie know." Kallie agrees excitedly.
The car stopped, the two hadn't even realized they were already at the restaurant. Lewis climbed out, walking around the car and opening the door for Kallie before she could attempt to. Kallie took his hand and stepped out, his arm sliding around her waist after shutting the door. Max climbed out the opposite way, Kamari jumping out of the car to run towards him. "Maxie!" She jumped into his arms, Max grinning as he picked her up.
"You're getting big, aren't you?" Max chuckles, holding her up with one arm as he shut the door to the Mercedes with the other. "I'm taller! I'm going to be as big as you one day!" Mari exclaimed in her small African accent, it was a bit shocking that she had picked up the accent but Kezie's genes were quite strong so it made sense. They were still waiting to see if Kaidyn had developed the accent. Michael and Kezie were hoping that he would but he could've just developed an American one.
They walked into the restaurant, Max still holding Kamari in his arms. She grew up around Max so it made sense how she'd grown an attachment to him. Max sat the six year old into the chair next to his, Kallie on his other side as Kaikara sat across him. Kez sat at the head of the table, Michael to her right, Kaidyn to her left on his iPad, Kaylen sitting next to his nephew and across his niece. Lewis sat next to Kai, across from his wife with Sang on his left at the other head of the table.
"I want whatever Uncle Lew gets," Kamari says, pushing away the vegan menu from her.
Lewis chuckles, "well I'll make sure you'll like it then."
"So Max, what do you think of Maserati joining the grid?" Kaikara questions. Sang glanced up at the mention of his team, as did Kezie. "Oh, I think it's very good, it's new competition, it's a new challenge. It's going to be good to see Sang back in Formula 1 even if he's our rival." Max chuckles, Sang just smiling lightly. "That's good to hear, I'm glad there's such positive words. If Kallie decides to go back I will definitely be on the track more often."
"Seriously, Mama? What about work?" Kallie questioned.
"Child, I love my job, but I'm getting older and tired. I'm giving it one more year and I'm done. I've discussed with Chelsie and she's going to take over my place and run the hospital when I'm gone. I want to get out of Africa for a while, spend more time with my children and grandbabies. With Jae gone, you guys are all I have. I want to make the most of it." Kaikara explained, taking her daughter's hand and Kaylen's. Kez blinked, watching her mother with squinted eyes, she and Lewis both sharing looks as Kallie and Kaylen just smiled, completely unaware of what was running through the minds of Lewis and Kezie.
"If this means I get to see you more, I'm all for it," Max comments, getting a round of soft laughs from them, minus Lewis.

The married couple walked Max to his door as Kallie insisted, much to Lewis's dismay. He stopped at the door and opened it up before turning to Kallie. "Thanks for dinner. It was amazing. I hope we can spend more time together again. I guess, I'll see you at the kids birthday party?" Max asked with a soft smile as he looked down at her, Lewis just leaning against the wall with clear impatience. "Yes, I can't wait. This was fun. Have a good night."
Max smiled and pulled her into a hug, his hands on her lower back, "have a good night, Kallie."
Lewis watched with a glare as Max entered his room and shut the door. He took his wife's hand and they walked back to their room. Kallie switched on the lights and turned to look at her husband who was leaning against the door with a look of annoyance. "What's wrong?" She questioned. He scoffs under his breath, "what's wrong? I will tell you exactly what's wrong. You've been entertaining his little crush on you all night."
"What? Are we still on this? He's my friend!" Kallie exclaimed in disbelief.
"Yeah, a friend you've slept with." Lewis stated, her face dropping at his words and he immediately regretted his words. She blinked, a wave of shock hitting her features. "Wow. You just can't let that go, can you? What do you want from me? I can't go back and change the past. You think I don't regret it? I was stuck in a horrible depression and he gave me comfort for that one night, a night that I regret every day because it ruined my friendship with him. I don't need you to constantly remind me of that, because I know I messed up. You are being unbelievable."
"Kallie, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that." Lewis rushed out, moving to set his hands on her shoulders gently. "What did you mean then? I don't understand what you want from me." She said, her expression filled with hurt and disbelief. "I'm sorry, okay, I know that was hard time in your life, believe me, I understand. I know you're just being friendly but you don't see what I see. He's in love with you. I would know. He looks at you like I did when I was falling in love with you."
"That's- that's ridiculous. He's not in love with me. He has a girlfriend." Kallie scoffs in denial, moving away to pull off his coat that hung on her shoulder. "I did to." Lewis admits, causing her to turn and look at him with furrowed brows. "What do you mean?" Lewis sighs, rubbing the back of his neck, "I was in a relationship when you first joined the grid. I'm sure you remember seeing her around sometimes. At first it was just a small crush, it didn't mean anything. And then before I knew it, I was completely in love with you, and she knew. It's why she broke up with me."
"I didn't know that, I'm sorry." Kallie mumbled apologetically. He shook his head, "don't be sorry, she did me a favor, cause now you're my wife."
"Exactly, I'm your wife. We're married. So why are you worried about him being in love with me?" Kallie questions. "It's not that I'm worried about him taking you, it's because he's going to make a move on you and he will heartbroken when you don't share the same feelings he does. I've known him for years, since he first got put on the grid, and yes, at first he did have a little crush on you, but then he started to fall in love, it was incredibly obvious. And he's still in love with you, but this time he's convinced he actually has a chance. You may regret that night with him, but he doesn't."
"I don't- how could he even be in love with me? I'm not even near his age." Kallie ran a hand through her hair, stressed out about this situation. "His girlfriend isn't exactly his age either," Lewis mumbled. "Kallie, you really understatement how desirable you are. I mean you gotta understand, you welcomed him into your family, you spent hours with him each week, it was bound that he was going to see that as more than friendship."
Kallie raised a brow, turning to face him. "Are you sure you're not just jealous?"
Lewis laughs sarcastically, "I wish." Kallie frowned and he pulled her closer, her head resting on his shoulder. "I don't want to hurt him." She mumbled sadly, the last thing she wanted was to reject Max and completely break his heart. "I know, but you also don't want to accidentally keep leading him on." Kallie nods against him, "I'll tell him at the party. Let him down gently."
Lewis held her longer, his hands running along the tattoo of her spine, making her shiver just a bit. "You said something in the car in Arabic. Wanna tell me what you said?" Kallie stiffened, pulling away and shaking her head. "Nope. It's not important." He scoffs, grabbing her hand and pulling her back into his chest before she could walk away to avoid the conversation. "You're a very bad liar, darling."
"So what? You don't speak Arabic so you wouldn't know." She shrugs, pushing away and sitting on the bed with a sarcastic smile.
Lewis chuckles under his breath and nods, reaching for his phone. "You're right. I don't speak Arabic. But I know someone who does. Quite sure she's in the next room." Kallie's eyes widened, she did not need Kezie to know about this. She quickly got up and smacked the phone from his grasp, he smirked and quickly grabbed her waist, pinning her to the wall. "Tell me what you said." He demanded, looking down at her with lust filled eyes.
She leaned up to his ear, smirking as she whispers, "no."
"Fine. I have no trouble visiting your sister." Lewis says, letting her go and walking towards the door. Kallie quickly ran into front of the door before he could open it, "no! She does not need to know what we talk about." Lewis snickers to himself, "I think she heard plenty in the last few days." She groaned, hitting his arm playfully, "enough, I'm already mortified."
"Tell me what you said. I promise I won't get mad," He compromised. Kallie huffs, putting her pinky out, "pinky promise?" Lewis rolls his eyes in amusement, hooking his pinky with hers nevertheless. "I said, you're just being jealous, and it's not very attractive." She admitted shyly. She noticed the way his jaw clenched for a few seconds and her eyes widened, "you promised! No getting angry!"
"I'm not angry. I'm just thinking of ways to teach you a lesson." He shrugs, walking towards the bed as she follows him with squinted eyes. "You're plotting. I don't like it." She mumbled in suspicion. Lewis chuckles, grabbing a towel from his suitcase and walking into the bathroom. Kallie followed him, watching him switch on the shower. "Get undressed." He said, and so she did, changing out of her clothes, pursing her lips at how wet she was down there. He noticed but didn't comment on it.
He helped her remove the wig Kez had installed earlier before they got into the shower. She was frustrated to say the least. He hadn't made a single effort to kiss her, rub against her, nothing. After the shower they climbed into bed and he just grabbed his phone and scrolling through social media. She huffed, deciding to make a post that he quickly commented on, completely flirting with her. Then he set his phone back onto the stand and turned to face her, not liking how far she was.
Kallie smiled as he pulled her closer, resting his head on her shoulder, watching what she was doing on her phone. "Who is that?" He asked, watching as she went to a guy's profile and liked his post, even commenting "congrats โค๏ธโค๏ธ" under it. "Just a footballer," she mumbled. "Why are you commenting hearts on his post?" Lewis questions, clenching his jaw at the guy's response that read, "thanks beautiful ๐".
"He's a friend." Kallie shrugs, liking the response and going to her notifications, liking a comment from a different footballer who commented on her post. "Didn't know friends send you heart eyes and call you beautiful," Lewis scoffs. "Like I said, jealously isn't very attractive on you," she spoke lowly in Xhosa. He scoffs again, "I'm not jealous." She rolled her eyes, shooting him a pointed look, "fine, then you're being possessive."
"I'm allowed to be a little possessive when men hit on my wife." Lewis grabs her phone tossed on the bedside table.
"I wasn't done with that." She protests, trying to reach over him but he just flipped her on her back, pulling her legs apart. "I don't care." He trailed his hands up the soft skin of her thighs, her breath hitching as he reached her panties. "No one else can you make feel as good I can, isn't that right, darling?" He smirked, tugging the thin lace of her panties down her legs. "Yes, yes, please touch me." She begged, her hand running through his braids that fell over his face.
He smiled softly, trailing his fingers along her hip bone, "say you're sorry."
She groaned, throwing her head back, "I thought you weren't mad."
"I'm not mad. Like you said, I'm possessive." He pressed kisses against her thighs, sucking and licking at them, soft whines leaving her lips. "So tell me how sorry you are so I can fuck you until you're begging me to let you come." He moved up her body, pushing up her shirt that was actually his. She shook her head in objection, he just smirked and moved his lips to her neck, kissing and sucking at it where marks would definitely be visible the next day.
She whined, grinding her hips against his desperately, but he pressed her body down to mattress with a soft laugh. "Don't be so stubborn, it's just two words. You started this. Finish it." He whispers into her ear, reaching down to rub at her clit, a moan escaping her lips. "Fuck. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Fuck me, please." He smiled at her words, moving to connect their lips before he pushed into her, both of them moaning into each other's mouths.
"Fuck, you feel so good. So fucking good, darling." He breathed out, speeding his pace up as she tugged on his braids, a groan escaping his lips.
