"Hello, this is Kalliope. I would like to officially announce to you all, my long awaited return to Formula 1. I will be joining Maserati MSG racing for the 2023 season, racing alongside my own brother, Kaylen Kumalo. I would like to thank you all for being so patient with me, I know it's been three years since my leave in the middle of the 2019 season. I am very thankful for my career in Red Bull, but it is time for a change. I've been watching on the sidelines for too long, and I'm ready to get back on that track and claim what's mine."

Kallie smirked to herself, crossing her leg over the other, "I will also no longer be going by the last name, Kumalo. From here on out, you can call me Kalliope Hamilton."

"Still watching that?" Sang questions, walking into the empty meeting room. It was very late at night, everyone had a night off since they had the car launch in just a few days and Kezie wanted everyone to spend time with their families. "It's still...a very alienating feeling. Doesn't feel real. I mean, two years ago I was convinced I was going to die. I thought I would be forgotten." Kallie spoke, shutting off her phone as her eyes glazing over laptop where she had pulled up her stats on the simulator, going over everything again just to be sure the chassis was perfect.

"You could never be forgotten, Kallie. Your legacy would forever live on even if you retired right now. And not because of your sister's legacy, nor your brother's. You made a name for yourself. Kez paid for it but you put in the work. You made yourself great. When I go back and watch your races, your abilities blow my mind, you could've been in the worst car on the grid and you still would've dragged it across the chequered flag and won. That's greatness on a whole other level." He announced, leaning against the table, he needed her at full confidence.

"They called you Mercedes' ender, cause nobody challenged Lewis like you did. Christian tried to make you Max's sidekick, and instead of complaining, or calling him out, you got on that track and proved yet again that you were the real deal. I seen your face that night in Abu Dhabi, you knew what you had to do. You could've made the choice to retire, end your career on a good note, but instead, you're making your return to take down Red Bull and show them what real racing is all about. It's not about cheating. It's not about favoritism. It's about competition."

"Kallie, I know we still aren't on the best terms, and trust me, I don't expect us to be as close as were before, but I want you to know, I will do anything to make up for my past mistakes. The first thing I'm gonna do is lead this team to victory and help you take that title that was stolen from you by Red Bull, Christian, and cancer itself. You don't need to befriend me, or call me uncle. All I need is your trust, because I say this with full honesty, you have my trust. Do I have yours?" Sang looked down at her as she soaked up his words, it was a well needed ego boost.

"You have my trust, always." Kallie answered, finally taking her eyes off the table and looking up at his tall frame. "Now, go home. It's late, you should be with your family." She encouraged. Sang smiled warmly and nodded, moving from the glass table. "Don't stay up too late. We've got a lot of work to do." He said before making his exit, the room going quiet again. Her phone buzzed on the table and she reached for it, answering the call when she seen it was her husband.

"Why are you still at the factory and not in bed?" He questioned the second she answered the call. Kallie squints her eyes, looking around the room for hidden cameras. "Uh...how did you know?" Lewis rolls his eyes, laying on his bed comfortably, although it still felt wrong without her next to him. The house felt cold and empty without her. "I'm your husband, I know you too well. Turn your camera on, I wanna see your face, intle."

Kallie smiled softly, switching her camera on. His smile grew wide at her face, even if she thought she looked a disaster, he seen the most beautiful woman in the world. "There's my pretty wife. What's got you up so late, darling?" He questioned, laying on his back, one hand holding up the phone as the other petted the soft fur of Roscoe. Kallie sighs softly, rubbing her head, her natural curls all over the place. "Just last minute stuff to take care of. And, I don't really wanna go home if you're not there."

"I know, I'm having trouble with that myself, but you need sleep, you look exhausted." Lewis said, making her sigh, nodding lightly in agreement. "I know, but I have far too much on my mind. I haven't had a moments peace since you left. I keep looking over the results on the simulator, they said everything is fine, they fixed everything me and Kaylen told them about, but something just feels off."

"You don't have confidence in the car?" He guessed.

"I'm not sure. I won't know until testing. It's still bothering me. I don't want to come back and look like a joke, ya know? It's bad enough the media is criticizing me for leaving Red Bull. If I come back with a bad car, it's not gonna be good." She expressed, running a hand over her curls as she stared at the computer. "I had a terrible car last year so I get it, but you need to look at it from a different perspective. You drove one of the worst cars Red Bull had ever built, and yet you still managed to be milliseconds from beating me. You underestimate how great you are, darling."

Kallie smiled softly at his words, but something was still always in the back of her mind. "What if, I can't do that again? They've changed the regulations, it's not like how it was before. I'm not that person I was before, I don't have that same killer instinct in me. Even if I did, that's the last place I want to be again. What if, I'm not cut out for this? Maybe I should just stick to singing."

Lewis frowned, he felt his heart break hearing how low her confidence was. He wished he was there to comfort her in person. "Allie, you can't think like that. You've waited three years for this, for that rush of adrenaline, that feeling of being in a Formula 1 car again. You didn't always think the way you did when you raced, love. Go back to before you met him, before he got into your head, and you'll see that you've always been great. You didn't need to be manipulated to do that."

"You are one of the greatest drivers I have ever witnessed, and I'm not just saying because you're my wife. I genuinely mean that. You challenged me in one of the worst cars on the grid, and still almost beat me. That was all you, not him. Don't get me wrong, you are a fantastic singer, and songwriter, and I love your music, but you were born to be in a Formula 1 car. Your return is going to be the greatest redemption story of all time. Don't lose your confidence, that's what makes you so great out there. Stop being so harsh on yourself."

She sniffles, wiping her eyes as his words really stuck with her. "You're right. I think it's just years of pent up emotions hitting me all at once." Lewis smiled softly, "makes sense, you didn't have much people to ramble to back then." Kallie scoffed in offense, "are you implying I had no friends?" Lewis sent her a cheeky smile, winking at her, "you said it, not me." She chuckles, shaking her head in amusement, "fuck off, I hate when you're right."

Lewis cleared his throat, a smirk itching it's way onto his lips, "so...what color are your panties?"

Her eyes widened and she scoffed, rolling her eyes playfully, "gosh, I see you haven't changed, still a whore, aren't we now, mhle?" He grinned, not an ounce of confidence leaving his features,  "well, when you put it like that..." She laughs, her curls falling over her face as she leaned forward. He raised a brow, smirk still present on his face, "you still haven't answered the question." Kallie bit her lip, contemplating on if she should answer it or not. But the idea of teasing him was too good to pass up. "Matching set, hot pink, lace," she winks.

He groaned in frustration, running a hand down his face as she expected. "Really? The one time you wear pink, it's when I'm halfway around the world? You know I love that color on you."

She smiled sheepishly, shrugging her shoulder, "shouldn't have left your wife in Italy." Lewis scoffs, hating that she was right, because Toto had offered him an extra day to spend with Kallie before he had to leave. "Oh, so this is revenge, innit?" She pursed her lips, feigning innocence, "I have no idea what you're talking about, mhle." He squints his eyes at her, a light scoff leaving his throat. "You know it's not very polite to tease your husband who can't do anything about it."

"That's what's so fun about it." She grinned, closing the window with her simulator results, not wanting to thunk about racing anymore. She just wanted to enjoy talking to Lewis, who the public now knew was her husband. The day the video dropped of her announcing her return with his surname, family and friends had blown up their phones like crazy with tons of exclamation. His mother wasn't so happy about him hiding it, but she was happy to have Kallie in the family.

"You're talking so confident now, enjoy it while you can, cause when I get back I can't wait to see stutter under me." He spoke, his smirk growing wider when he noticed how her eyes fluttered, his mouth slightly open as her breath hitched, her mind going to places only he could put there. "Ah, I'm not even there and I already know you're clenching those pretty thighs of yours. I haven't even touched you and you're probably soaking wet, aren't you, intle?"

"I'm not answering that. You've had your ego stroked enough for the week." She retorts, looking away from the camera as she tried to calm herself down, cause he wasn't wrong, her thighs were clenched tightly and she could feel herself growing wet at just the sound of his voice. "My ego? Definitely. When the whole world praises you for wife-ing up Kalliope Kumalo, it tends to boost your ego. I think I was more surprised at the people who said it was shocking because I used to be such a whore."

"Well...they aren't exactly wrong. If the old Lewis saw you get married after just a few months, he would've had a heart attack." She countered, giggling to herself as she watched him playfully glare at her. "As Kezie would say, I gagged you," she smiled. He chuckled at her use of words, that was definitely something out of Kezie's vocabulary. "I really gotta keep you away from her horrid gen-z vocabulary," he said.

Kallie suddenly knitted her brows, confusion bubbling inside as she heard incoherent noises in the background of the call. "Mhle, what is that noise? Is someone there?" Lewis pursed his lips, a sheepish smile growing at the corners of lips. "No, that's just music. I may have downloaded a playlist of every song you've ever recorded so I can listen to you whenever I want." Her eyes widened for a split second, before a chuckle escaped her mouth. "I want to say I'm surprised, but you somehow promote my music more than me."

"Yes, my fans have told me that. They love how obsessed I am with you." Lewis chuckles.

"I haven't been on social media in days but Lando has been telling me what everyone is saying. There's been some nasty comments about my return, but most of it is positive. I think people are more shocked that we're married rather than me being back, cause my return was basically hinted for a whole year. I guess the whole secret marriage worked out for us." She smiled, her mind flashing back to when they got married, it was a feeling she wouldn't ever forget. "Definitely. I'm glad we got to enjoy it before everyone started pestering us," he agreed.

"So, are you excited for car launch? I think you're really going to like it. I haven't seen outside of car, but Kez got one of the best designer's so I'm confident that it's gonna be gorgeous." Kallie said, although she did wish Lewis could be with her, he had his own car reveal and they weren't really allowed to be at each other's. "I think I'm honestly more excited to see you in that dress I bought you," Lewis smirked, causing her to grow flustered again.

"Sucks that you won't get to take it off me," she smiled innocently.

"Why would you put that image in my mind? Now it's all I'm gonna think about." He huffed, his eyes rolling back which put some thoughts in her mind. "Don't- don't roll your eyes back, please?" She requested, rubbing her neck nervously. He squints, a playful smirk itching it's way onto his lips, "now, what could you possibly be thinking about?" She blushed, averting her eyes to the table, "shush, I've got a lot on my mind and it doesn't help that I'm being deprived of my husband."

"Well, I'm being deprived of my wife so I can relate." He shrugs, but sits up, growing more serious, "but, I'm also very concerned for my wife. You haven't slept in two days, Allie. Don't ask how I know that, cause I just do. You need to go home. No more overnights at the factory. You need sleep. Did you take your meds?" Kallie's eyes widened in realization and she threw her head back in exasperation, "fuck, fuck, fuck. I completely forgot. I was supposed to get them refilled today. They're at home."

"Okay, don't panic. It's okay. Go home, get some rest and get them refilled first thing in the morning. No more slacking on it, you how dangerous it is." He said, watching as she shuts her laptop and gathers her things. "I know, I'm sorry. I'll get home right now. Don't worry, I'm not driving. I'll have someone drive me." She reassured, knowing he would freak out if she drove whilst she was tired. "Alright well, stay on the phone with me. I can't sleep without hearing your voice," he said tiredly, adjusting his position so he could lay back down comfortably.

"I will, get some rest, mhle. I'll wake you up when I'm home." She said, stepping into the elevator and pressing the button to the first floor.

"Sounds good, love."
