"Eish! Mama, hurry up! I wanna go already!" Kamari yelled impatiently, banging on the bathroom door. "Baby, go to your Auntie's room, I'm gonna be a minute!" Kez shouted back, leaning against Will's chest as he held her, rubbing her shoulders for comfort. The symptoms were really acting up today. "Mama, are you okay?" Mari frowned sadly, hearing her mum start to cough. "I'm okay baby, I just need a minute. Go to Kallie and Lewis, take Sargeant with you."
"I hope you're okay, Mama." Kamari sighed before kneeling down next to Sargeant and attaching his harness. She clipped on the leash and they walked out, heading to the elevator. She pressed the floor they were on and waited, the lift stopping at the correct one. She walked out and went down the halls, searching for her Auntie's room number. She finally found it and knocked on the door, Sargeant remaining by her side. The door opened, Lewis's eyes widened at the girl, "Mari? What are you doing here by yourself?"
He quickly ushered her inside, and shut the door, confusion all over his features. "Mama told me to come here. She's throwing up in the bathroom again." Mari explained, letting go of Sargeant's leash as he laid down by her legs. She sat on the small sofa with a frown. "I'm sure she's fine, Mari. Your mother is very strong." Lewis said, but his words weren't super encouraging for her, not when she knew that Kallie almost died from cancer.
"Baby, who's at the door?" Kallie's voice echoed from the bathroom before she opened the door and walked out, pausing in her steps when she noticed her niece. "Kezie sent her here," Lewis said with a knowing look that Kallie nodded at, understanding what he meant. "Alright uh, Lew, get dressed, I'll take care of this," Kallie said, pressing a kiss to his cheek. He nods and gathered his stuff before going to the bathroom.
"Let's take care of this hair, shall we?" Kallie mumbled, grabbing some products and sitting on the sofa. Kamari moves to sit on the floor in front of her, already knowing the whole routine. Mari had very long and lengthy locs that were dyed purple because it was her favorite color, just like it was Kezie's favorite color. She added some product and massaged it in, making sure her scalp was moisturized. "You want it up or down?" She asked.
"Mum was gonna do a bun at the top," Mari mumbled.
"Okay, we'll do that." Kallie grabbed a tie and did as so, making sure it was good and firm so it wouldn't fall apart. Then she did her edges last and gave Mari some lip gloss to wear. "Are you and Lew gonna come to my tryouts?" She asked, moving to sit back down on the sofa as Kallie was putting the stuff away. "Of course, we wouldn't miss it for the world. I promise, we'll be there cheering you on."
"I haven't told mum yet, but I don't want to stay with Will's sister if he's away. I just don't know them that well." Kamari said, messing with the bracelet around her wrist. She got it for her 8th birthday, from both Lewis and Kallie and she wore it all the time. "Yeah, we figured. That's why Lewis is gonna talk with your mum about staying in dorms. Are you okay with dorms? And you can still stay with Will when he's home." Kallie responded with her usual warm and comforting smile. She always loved when Mari came to her and Lewis with these things. It could be hard to confront her mother.
"Thanks, Auntie." Mari smiled excitedly, throwing her arms around the driver.
Lewis walked out of the bathroom holding up his phone, "Alright, Kez said you can come with us because she's gonna be running late. You cool with that?" He asked and Kamari nodded. "Sounds cool."

"The last race started off shit, the tyres sucked, we had to change strategy, and it just was sloppy, we can't have that again." Kallie expressed to her strategist, including her race engineer James. They were currently walking the track and noting things down. Kamari accompanied her, with Sargeant, as Kez still wasn't there yet and Lewis had to do some media and meetings. "Certainly, you're correct," James nods in agreement.
"I think with this penalty, the most we can do in this race is backup Kaylen." Kallie said. During qualifying, she was penalized for "speeding in the pitlane" which would put her down in P7 on the starting grid. Kez had recently had a talk with Kaylen over the week after Bahrain, and now he was stepping up. He made pole position and was starting P1 on the grid. Unfair penalties weren't unusual for her as she had gotten them in the past, which wasn't super shocking considering the discrimination against her for being black, and a woman.
"Since I'm starting before Max, I will focus on holding him off, keep him from Kaylen. Same with Lewis, I'll hold 'em both off. I probably won't win, but if Kaylen can pull through, it'll be a win for the team, and good points for us." Kallie said, getting nods of agreements from the team. "All right, we'll start with the strategies, discuss with the rest of the team, make sure Kaylen's team is on board," Stephanie spoke, one of the head strategists in their team.
"Sounds good. I'll catch up later team."

"Where am I starting again?" Kallie questions, genuinely forgetting where she was on the starting grid. "P7, you'll be on the row with Oscar Piastri," Darren answered before passing her the balaclava. "Cool." Kallie mumbled, patting her hair to make sure it wasn't going anywhere. She had it slicked down into a low bun as she found that quite simple for a race. It wasn't in the way and you wouldn't look like a disaster when you took off the helmet.
She pulled on the balaclava after making sure the buds were in her ears so she would hear James voice through the radio. He handed her the helmet and she pulled it on and adjusted it to her liking. She put her hands together and prayed to herself, always doing this before a race. It was definitely a must. "All right, let's do this." Kallie walked over to the car, her mechanics moving out of the way for her.
She climbed into the cockpit and sat down. They did her buckles and handed her some gloves. "Steering wheel," she extended her hand and a mechanic by the name of Wayne, handed it to her. "Thank you." She connected it and then did the normal radio check, making sure all was good. After they cleared the track, they were given the go for the formation lap. She lined up on her place, the bright orange McLaren just small ways from her. She wondered how she would look in orange.
Her eyes focused on the lights, the second they went off, her foot pressed the accelerator. "And the Saudi Grand Prix is go! Alonso is gonna put pressure on Kumalo in the opening meters of the Grand Prix! Who's gonna break into turn one, Fernando Alonso takes the lead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix! Down goes Kumalo but the old lion has roared back to the front of the field, the oldest driver in the field leads. It's Alonso, Kumalo, then it's Lewis Hamilton in third."
Kallie cursed as she just managed to avoid damage from one of the Alpine's, but she was certain Oscar had failed to avoid it because he had been knocked down to last place. She still remained in P7, not gaining any places considering it was so crowded and she didn't wanna risk it. Right now it was mostly about keeping the Red Bulls from making any valuable points that would put Maserati out of the lead.
"Who is in front of me? I can't tell," Kallie questions.
"P6, Carlos Sainz."
"What's the situation behind me?" She questioned, obviously referring to their current competition right now, Max and Charles. "Charles, P9. Max, P13. How are the tyres feeling?" That meant, Charles gained three places and Max gained two. Fuck. They were catching up, and she needed to start making her way up this grid. "Good, good. Grip is very good. Should I start pushing? What's the gap with Carlos?"
"4 seconds. You can start pushing." James said before adding, "New race leader is Kaylen. Fernando has gotten a five second penalty for grid position." Kallie hums, "I guess that's good for us, we need to keep him as far away as possible." She focused on closing the gap with Sainz, but she failed to see Lance behind her. "Defend position, Kallie. Leave Carlos, just defend," James warned.
"I can't afford to do that right now." She said in frustration. She gained a slipstream and just managed to overtake Carlos, leaving the Ferrari driver to defend his position against Lance rather than get it back from her. It definitely worked out in her favor because Charles would've been in that fight for 7th had she not overtook Carlos. "Who's next?" She asked.
"George P5, Checo P4," James answered, still surprised she took that risk just a lap ago.
In a few laps, she closed the gap with Russell, and on the straight, she gained a slipstream and overtook him. Although he did defend from her pretty well in the corners. She had a one second gap with Checo, and he was defending his position with his life at that point. Coming up on a corner, they turned, he locked up, she found her gap and took advantage. "What an overtake from Kalliope! Outstanding work! From P7 to P4."
"P4, Kallie, that's P4." James voiced in encouragement.
She already knew the top three. Kaylen in P1, Alonso in P2, and Lewis in P3. There was no way Lewis was even letting her get near P2, so she had to put her focus on keeping Charles and Max from getting near the podium. And if she was lucky, she'd get that gap on Lewis and take it, but that was a long shot right now. "Tyres are losing grip, I want to pit soon," Kallie informed. One thing she made perfectly clear with her team, is that when she warned them that she needed to pit, they had to listen. They could plan the stops, but at the end, it came down to her because she was the one driving the car.
"You now have Max behind you. Don't let him close that gap." James informed.
She cursed in her head, glancing in her mirrors and thankfully he wasn't close. Charles had just pitted and was knocked down a few places, otherwise it would've been him behind her. "Yellow flag, slow down," he warns. "What's going on?" She asked. "Problem with Lance's car. We have a virtual safety car." He explained. "Should I stay out? What does the team say?"
"Come to the pits. Box, box." He replied.
She pitted directly after Kaylen, replacing her softs for some hards. Fernando, Lewis, and Max all pitted as well, so they all still kept their places. She was still remaining in 4th, Max behind her in 5th. They were all bunched up behind the safety car, the ones who pitted, weaving to heat up their fresh tyres. Once it finally ended, they all went back to normal speeds, and not much exciting happened for her. Lewis was extremely good at defending.
"Max is closing the gap. Defend." James warned.
She glanced in her mirrors and huffed in annoyance, Max right behind her. "Give me your best, Max." She smirked, coming up on a corner, he tried to overtake but she held him back. She then noticed the Aston Martin, and furrowed her brows, she could've sworn he was P2. "Who's in front?" She questioned. "Fernando P3, he was overtaken by Lewis P2, and Kaylen P1."
The next few laps, it was just her defending from Max, and God was he frustrated. She was not even letting him get an inch past her. He tried everything and it just wasn't working. "How is she still in front of me? This is ridiculous!" Max exclaimed after another failed attempt to overtake her. He was definitely not beating those "Kalliope is a better driver and teammate than Max" allegations.
At that point he stopped pushing on his tyres so much if he wasn't getting anywhere with it. She stretched that gap and closed hers with Fernando. It took maybe two laps before she took the opportunity to overtake Fernando. "That's P3, and fastest lap, Kallie," James informed. "Wasn't really going for that but sounds cool, I guess," she said with a bored tone to her voice. They were coming up on the last five laps, so far Max had overtaken Alonso, so he was behind Kallie, again.
She was behind Lewis, but she wasn't making an attempts to overtake him as it was too risky. Right now, her job was to defend from Max. He tried on every corner and straight to overtake her but he couldn't, and it was frustrating. 4 laps away from the end of the race, they were on a corner and suddenly she felt contact, the back of her car connecting with Max's front wing. "We just made contact! The fuck is this dumbass doing? He's fucking crazy!" She exclaimed in frustration, glancing in her mirrors, and he was still behind her.
"Copy, we'll report it."
The contact slowed them both down, but the damage thankfully wasn't enough to put them out of the race. But this was slowing down Kallie enough for Max to gain on her. He could've overtook her, up until Lewis began to purposely give her a slipstream. "Lewis, you're giving Kallie a slipstream," Bono informed, unsure what this tactic was. "Yeah, it's on purpose mate." Lewis responded. He had seen it, he saw the way Max purposely turned into Kallie, probably trying to get her out of the race.
He continued to do this, and it was smart because the more Kallie held back Max, the more advantage it gave him in the championship points. "What's going on? Are they penalizing him or what? He turned into me right there." Kallie questioned, still very frustrated, not even caring about the points anymore. "There's no further investigation, Kallie. Just focus on finishing the race." James said, the whole team was not pleased with this. Sang was certainly gonna protest this.
"Of course, why do I even try?" Kallie scoffed with a roll of her eyes.
With the help of Lewis towing her basically, she got more speed than Max, and was able to successfully keep him from overtaking, not that he could try much considering the damage to his front wing that he did himself. She crossed the chequered flag, but she wasn't pleased, still frustrated about the situation with Max. "P3, Kallie. Good job out there. It was a tough week, but we still got it done. Not a great way to finish the race but, points for the team."
"Yeah, good job to the team, they did great. I'm still very frustrated about the contact, so yeah, decent race, but we've got a lot of work to do, we can't let that happen again. Congrats to Kaylen, and Lewis." Kallie sighed, reaching her hand down to loosen the buckles, irritated from them digging into her stomach. She parked the car at the third place sign, and she stayed in there for a second or two, just trying to calm herself down so she didn't look annoyed or people would try to make it look like she was upset with Kaylen winning over her.
She removed the steering wheel and climbed out from the cockpit. She jumped out and immediately went to examining her car, shaking her head in irritation from the damage Max did. She walked over to Kaylen, seeing him celebrating with the team, including Kez, Will, and Kamari. "Good job, brother. You did great." She praised, and he smiled softly through his helmet, pulling her into a hug. "Thanks, sis. You did pretty good too."
She let him go and Lewis came up to her, pulling her into a gentle hug, aware she wasn't in the best of moods. "You did great out there, don't let that incident in the last laps tell you otherwise. Just, be happy for your brother, okay?" She nods, shrugging slightly, "I'll do my best." She pulled away and went to get weighted so she could take off her helmet and gloves. After congratulating his brother in law, Lewis got weighted after her and was quick to remove his helmet and gloves.
She walked over to Sang as Kaylen was doing the post-race interview, hosted by David Coulthard. "I'm so annoyed, like what happened? Did he hit a curb and accidentally hit me or what? It couldn't have been on purpose." She said, refusing to believe Max would play dirty like that. At first, she was pissed and immediately assumed he was being a prick, but now she was processing it and didn't want to just jump to conclusions and accusations.
"No, no, we went through the footage, it was completely on purpose, there's no way you can accidentally just hit someone, especially with the gap and such. But, we'll take it to the stewards. For now, just celebrate, it's still podium, it's still good points, you're still leading the championship. And it's the first podium with three black drivers, so be happy about that. You three just made history." Sang said, and her eyes brightened at that fact, completely forgetting about that so she was glad he pointed it out.
She nods, "okay, just make sure it's taken care of, we can't just let that slide, it's bullshit." He nods in agreement but she's quickly pulled away by Maeanna as she was next to do her interview. She sighed, taking the bandana from her manager and tying it on to contain all the frizz from the helmet and sweat. A smile found it's way to her face when she spotting Kamari cheering her on loudly. "Such an amazing job from you out there, P7 to P3. Still leading the championship, but maybe not the result you were expecting this weekend."
"Uh no, definitely not. Our strategy work out quite well, I'd say, the team did excellent job with our car, and yeah, so much love for them. The penalty certainly put dent in our plans but that's just the way it is. Today's result was no different, but it's still good points for the team, and a great job from Kaylen. Hopefully the next race is better. For now, we celebrate and hope the stewards make the right decision," she answered.
"Well, thank you for your time, Kallie." He smiled politely.ย
She bowed her head and returned to Maeanna, taking a sip from the bottle filled with an energy drink that had the big PRIME logo on it, as it was a sponsor. She walked to the cool down room as Lewis was doing his interview. She seen Kaylen already there drying his purple hair with a white towel. She set her helmet down and grabbed a towel, pressing it to her face, drying off the sweat again, another reason she didn't wear makeup in the car, because it would look horrible the second she took off that helmet.
"No trouble with car this time?" She asked, and maybe she sounded a little backhanded but he knew what she was trying to ask, her bad English just affected the way it came out. "Little bit of understeer in the beginning but it balanced out. Any trouble with you?" He asked, taking a cold water and opening it up. "Uh, not up until Max hit me." Kallie muttered in a petty tone, and she had every right to be petty. What Max did was stupid and dangerous.
"I was wondering why the fans started gasping," Kaylen said, walking over to the chair and sitting on it. Kallie sighed and grabbed a water before taking a seat on the chair. Lewis walked in and set his helmet on his chair. "Three black drivers on a podium. Never thought I'd see the day." He said, grabbing a water and opening it. "I'm glad it was us," Kaylen said proudly. Lewis put on one of the caps and took the third one sitting atop his wife's helmet.
He put it over her head with a smile, making sure it was backwards because he knew she preferred it that way. In the beginning of her career, she was heavily criticized for it, they claimed it was "ghetto" for her to wear it like that. Lewis was the first one to defend her, when he won his race, he put it on backwards, to which a few other drivers came to her defense, along with other sports players. They finally let her wear it like that to avoid any backlash. You know it's bad when you got baseball, basketball, and football players calling you out.
"It'll work out, it always does," he said, pressing a peck to her lips.
They watched the highlights on the screen, Kaylen making comments about her overtakes throughout the race, saying they were impressive. Then the clip of Max and Kallie making contact appeared and he blinked in shock. "Holy shit. Did you guys report it?" He asked. Kallie nods, taking a sip of her water, "yeah but they just dropped it, there was plenty of space on track so I just don't get how he could've made contact. They're making case right now because that's just unacceptable."
"That's good, hopefully he gets a penalty for that or something, there was plenty of room there. It's impressive the way you recovered. Others would've probably spun off right there." He said, Lewis nodding in agreement as he rubbed his wife's shoulders. Kallie stood up from the chair as they got the say for the podium. Lewis set a hand on her waist, following her up the stairs so she didn't fall.
They called her name first and she went out there, waving down at her family. Lewis went out there next, waving to his wife's family and his team. Kaylen was called out last, he ran out with a proud grin and stepped to the top, waving down at his family and the team. On the bright side, at least Kallie got to hear the South African national anthem, even if it wasn't playing for her. They passed out the trophys, including the medal to Kaylen.
Like it was some unspoken agreement, the minute they picked up the bottles, they sprayed down Kaylen with it.

"What was going through your head when you made contact with Max?" Kallie raised a brow, glancing up from her nails to see who asked the question. They were doing the post race conference. Kaylen sat in the middle of the couch, Kallie on his left and Lewis on his right, unfortunately, because he much preferred to be closer to his wife. She was very displeased as they had been informed that Max would not receive any penalty despite the case that Maserati made. It was infuriating.
"You mean when he made contact with me, right? I'll tell you what I was thinking. I was thinking, how could a world champion such as himself, make such a rookie mistake. But I get it, it hasn't been a good start for him, he's hungry, he wants to win again, and hey, I would too if I was competing with a driver who's no longer being held back in favor of their teammate. And now, I'm thinking, he needs to just fuck off or next time I won't be so forgiving." Kallie shrugged, setting down her mic.
Lewis pursed his lips, that was precisely why he wanted to sit next to her. To prevent her from letting her anger take over. But then again, he couldn't exactly blame her. Had that been him, he wouldn't be pleased either. Though he wouldn't have worded it the way she did. He couldn't think much of it when he was being asked a question. They asked his thoughts on the podium being three black drivers for the first time ever in Formula 1 history.
"Well, I mean, it's amazing, it's something I never saw coming. I never thought we'd ever have three black drivers, let alone a podium with all three of us. And having Kallie, a bisexual black woman up there, is beautiful to see. It's a step forward in the right direction. I hope in a few years it'll be more normal and common, but for now, it's great progress. I'm very proud to be apart of it. I'm certainly proud to share the podium with Kallie and Kaylen." He answered.
Kallie smiled, blowing him a kiss as they moved onto the next question, it being for Kaylen. She knew they were trying to start shit when they asked what he would think if he had to face his own sister in the championship race, to which he responded like she would. Only one can win. Siblings or not. It's a race. It's a championship. You can both go home still being family, but you can't both go home with a 1st place trophy. It has to be one, and whoever it is, will deserve it in the end. And the same rules applied when it came to her husband.
The conference ended pretty quick, Maeanna escorted Kallie away as she had some more duties, and a scolding for the way she was handling the Max situation. She may have went off about it in the media pen when she was asked about the situation. Max was also not handling it super well either, putting the blame on her, even if the footage showed otherwise. Christian knew the truth, he saw the unnecessary turn Max made, but he was still gonna take his side and put blame on Kallie.
They knew something like this would happen. That was the plan. Taking down Red Bull and Christian Horner. It was just unfortunate that her friendship with Max would get caught in the crossfire. But hey, it wouldn't be the first time Max chose something else over her. She was allowed to be a little selfish. Nobody ever chose her. Red Bull chose Max over her. Red Bull chose Daniel over her. Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren, all the top teams didn't want her, not up until they needed her. It was always when they needed her. Never when she needed them.
Oh well, it's their loss.
"I'm not in the mood to be scolded, okay? You all seen it. He try to spin me off track. Everyone see it, yet still, he get away with it. I have every right to be pissed off. Don't tell me what I can and can't feel." Kallie stood up from her chair and grabbed her phone, walking out of the room. Her team was very stressed, clearly. And she certainly wasn't making their jobs any easier, but they knew this would happen. Neela warned them. She said Kallie would get like this when she was upset. This was mild too. It was much worse when Kallie was younger.
"Please tell me you're not gonna scold me, too." Kallie huffs, her bags pulled over her shoulders as she walks past the Mercedes motorhome, her husband quickly joining her side upon waiting for her. "I'll save you the scolding. I'm sure you're already beating yourself up for it." He said, taking her bags from her arms. He already his put in the car so they could get out of there. He knew she wouldn't be in the mood to celebrate, so he let Kaylen go off with a few of the other drivers.
"Beat myself up? Why would I do that? I'm not the one who try to shove someone off track like little bitch." She expressed, a scoff escaping her lips. Lewis chuckles, "it's cute when you're mad. That's precisely why you're beating yourself up. You hate being angry. You like to be positive. I'm sure you went off on your team, so you're definitely gonna regret that in the morning," he said, and he told zero lies, because the guilt was already eating up at her.
Before she could argue, he cut her off, "lucky for you, I know something, or rather, someone, who can cheer you up."
"Nobody can cheer me up." She denied with a scoff, glaring at the floor as they reached the parking lot. "I call bullshit." He retorts before unlocking the car with his keys. "Mari!" He called. The girl hopped out of the passenger seat with a grin and ran over to Kallie. The driver smiled instantly, lifting her niece and spinning her around. "You beautiful child!" She set the shorter girl down with a smile, her husband just packing her bags in the car.
"Where's your parents? I mean where's your mum and Will?" Kallie asked, correcting herself quickly as she accidentally referred to Will as one of Mari's parents. He treated her like a daughter for so long, it was a bit difficult to not see him as a step dad. "They're out clubbing with Kaylen, so I offered us to babysit." Lewis answered, patting Mari's head, causing her to glare at him. "I'm not a baby!"
"Just because you grew a foot and your IQ is higher than Einstein, does not mean you're not still a baby." Lewis argued, and she hit his abs with a glare, "I'm not a baby!" Kallie snorts, pulling the girl away as Lewis was holding his stomach with a wince. "How are you so strong? You weigh like 90 pounds." He groaned. She snickers, "I take boxing classes, duh. My dad is basically related to Rocky and my mum broke a man's jaw for grabbing me."
"That doesn't explain how violent you are," he retorts in annoyance, rubbing his stomach as his wife just chuckles in amusement.
"Have you met my mum? She almost killed you with a utensil," Kamari countered, crossing her arms over her chest with a sassy look. "Okay that is not true. She did not almost kill me. She just threatened me, not that I was even threatened cause it was a plastic utensil." He scoffs, clearly offended by her accusing words. Kallie laughs, "that's enough arguing about what happened and what didn't happen. Get in the car, Mari."
"Loser," she said mockingly at Lewis before hopping into the backseat. He feigned offense as he shut the door and turned to his wife. "That's definitely your sister's kid." She chuckles at his words, sliding her arms around his neck as his hands immediately snake around her waist. "I'm sorry for letting my...emotions, get in the way of the history we made today. I'm so proud of you. I'm so proud us. Children all over who look like us, will get the representation we didn't, and that's what it's all about. That's what matters."
"You had every right to react the way you did, don't let yourself believe otherwise. It's apart of the job, it's especially harder for us, but in the end, it'll be worth it, seeing you raise that trophy you sacrificed everything for. Like you said, representation is important. That's why every time you get out there on track, you're representing women, and young girls, especially young black girls who look up to you. So never ever dismiss your feelings for being treated differently."
She smiled softly, his words causing her heart to beat just a little faster. He always knew just what to say. "I love you for eternity. Thank you for reminding me of who I am." He smiled, pulling her into a kiss, clinging onto her, pulling her body as close as possible. "Get a room!" Kamari shouts from inside the car, leaning forward to honk the horn. They both laugh and separate, Lewis climbing into the passenger's seat as Kallie walked around to the driver's side.
"Gosh, it's like I'm babysitting you. What's next, I have to drive while you makeout in the backseat?" Kamari scowled, hitting the back of Lewis's head.
"Ow! Why are you so violent?!" Lewis winced, holding his head and glaring at the eight year old.
"Aunt Kallie, can we play golf? Mum doesn't have to know." Kamari pleads, giving her best puppy eyes to her aunt as Lewis just looks at her in confusion, the mood change catching him off guard. "Don't you have a bedtime?" She asked, looking at the girl from over her shoulder. "...no," Mari lied, and Lewis scoffed. "You little liar. Your mum said you need to be in bed. We're not going golfing, so don't even try it with those puppy eyes. She's not falling for it."
"Snitch." Mari scowled, crossing her arms over her chest and leaning back into her seat.
"Brat," he retorts, turning back in his seat.
Kallie chuckles, starting up the car, "are you two done so I can drive without interruption?"
"I don't know. Is Lewis gonna keep running his mouth?" Kamari mocked, causing him to glare at her. "You're so lucky your mum isn't here. I'm telling her all about your little attitude, and she's gonna ground you and make you apologize to me." He smirked in victory as her displeased expression. As Kallie drove out of the lot, a smirk grew on the girl's lips, "Auntie, can I play some music?"
"Of course." Kallie smiled, clicking on the Bluetooth system.
Kamari connected her phone and smirked, clicking on a song. Lewis's face dropped as "Pipe" by Christina Aguilera and himself, started playing. "You better turn that off!" He reached to the backseat but she held the phone away from him with an evil laugh. "Did you tell Aunt Kallie that you wrote this about her?" She mocked.
His eyes widened, "who told you that?"
She grinned, "you should not have told my mum. She tells me everything."
"You evil child." He glared at her, a look of victory on her face as she turned the song up with her phone.
He turned back in his seat, his wife stopping at a light and turning to look at him with confusion. "You wrote this about me?" Mari leaned forward but he quickly put a hand over her mouth, "she's lying, don't believe her. This is just revenge for me accidentally breaking her Lego statue." She pulled his hand off with a glare, "it was not an accident! You did it on purpose!"
"I did not! You had it on the floor!" Lewis argued.
"Enough! Sit down! Both of you! We'll talk about it at the hotel!" Kallie shouts, fed up with their arguing. They quickly sit back in their seats at her calls, both sharing a look, mocking each other with their eyes.
"Stop glaring at each other!"
"Sorry."
"Sorry, Auntie."
