"Hey, Kallie! Your phones ringing! I'm gonna answer it!" Kaylen called from downstairs, picking up her phone that was ringing on the kitchen counter. "This is Kalliope's phone, who's this?" He answers, putting the phone to his ear. "This is Dr. Grey, may I speak with Kalliope?" Kaylen furrowed his brows in confusion, wondering why a doctor was calling his sister. "Uh, she's busy at the moment. This is her brother, can you leave a message?" He spoke, not hiding the confusion in his tone.
"Oh, can you just tell her to call me back? It's urgent." Dr. Grey hung up quickly before he could ask too many questions. She knew Kallie had been keeping it private so she wasn't gonna betray her trust.
Kallie ran downstairs, rushing into the kitchen to see her brother. "Who was it?" The singer reached for her phone, checking the caller ID, it reading the name of her doctor. Her face paled, looking up at her brother to see if he knew. "Kallie, why is a doctor calling you? Is something wrong? Are you sick?" Kaylen questions, he knew this stuff ran in the family, courtesy of their mother but Keziyah was the only one affected by it so far. He had been lucky to avoid any leading down sicknesses.
"What? No, I'm not sick. It was- it was a pregnancy test. I had one done because me and Max forgot protection that one time. It's no big deal." Kallie shrugs, walking to the fridge to grab a lemonade.
"Okay, well make sure to call her back. Dr. Grey says it's urgent. I'm gonna go upstairs now, I'm tired. Practice was tiring." Kaylen pressed a kiss to her head and exited the kitchen to go upstairs. They were at Kallie's house for the Monaco Grand Prix and the race was tomorrow so he needed to get some rest. Kallie waited until he was out of earshot before walking outside, sitting by the pool and calling up Dr. Grey. "Hey, you called? What's wrong?"
"I got your results back and I'm sending them to Dr. Wenham in Monaco. I want you to get there as soon as possible. Call when he shows you the results and we can talk it over." Dr. Grey explains, ever since Kallie had been traveling for the season, she had to send all of Kallie's labs to a doctor where she stayed for the week. It's why Kallie was constantly leaving at odd hours. "Okay, thank you. I'll leave right now." Kallie hung up and shot a text to Jamie so he could accompany her.
"To the hospital here I come." She muttered.

Kallie sat in the driver's room, laying on the couch taking a nap. She had been up at the hospital all night so she was tired. Kaylen walked in with Lewis both of them back from a meeting with the team. Jamie was sitting by Kallie's feet, his jacket placed over her sleeping figure as he was on his phone, probably texting his wife with updates on Kallie's condition. "She okay?" Lewis asks, bringing Jamie's attention away from the phone.
"She's fine, just tired." Jamie answered simply, obviously not gonna tell them the real reason for her tiredness.
"Hey, Jamie, did Kallie mention anything about a Dr. Grey? She works at my mum's hospital in LA but when I called her she went on about doctor-patient confidentiality as if I wasn't Kallie's brother." Kaylen ranted, rubbing his hand down his face in frustration. Jamie pursed his lips, shrugging his shoulders, "no, she didn't mention anything about a Dr. Grey. Do you think somethings wrong?"
"I'm not even sure to be honest. I was thinking of calling mum and asking if she could pull up all the files on Kallie but if I did that, Kal wouldn't be able to forgive me. She's pretty big on privacy." Kaylen sat down, running a hand over his hair. Jamie glanced down at Kallie, wishing he could just tell Kaylen so he didn't have to stress himself out with this. But he couldn't betray the trust she put in him. It was such a complicated situation.
"Don't you think if anything was wrong your mum would know? I mean, it's well known that she owns the hospital." Lewis comments, taking a sip of water, his eyes falling onto her sleeping figure. She always did sleep so peacefully. "Yeah, good point. I'm probably just paranoid." Kaylen nodded, convincing himself that everything was fine.
"What are you guys talking about?" Kallie spoke, waking up with a yawn, trying not to rub her eyes so she doesn't mess up her makeup. "Just how pretty you look sleeping," Lewis smirks, getting a harsh nudge from Kaylen. "Hey, no flirting with my sister. She's off limits." He warns. Kallie rolls her eyes, sitting up, passing Jamie his jacket back with a grateful smile. "You always say that and it never matters," she retorts. "That's because you never listen. Take Max for example. I said no dating guys on the grid and you did it anyways." Kaylen argues.
"Technically I didn't date him so it doesn't count," she shot back with a smirk. Lewis grimaced, "don't remind me," he mutters under his breath.
"Did you get back the pregnancy results?" Kaylen suddenly asks out of nowhere and Lewis almost chokes on his water. "What?" Kallie furrows her brows in slight confusion before suddenly remembering that she made up the pregnancy test lie. "Oh! Right, yeah, I got them back. Completely negative. False alarm." She says with a stern nod and both Lewis and Kaylen sigh in relief at the same time.
"We're gonna head out. I'll see you when the race starts." Kallie stood up with Jamie and left the room.
An hour later, the race was starting, Kallie did a quick prayer with Kaylen and Lewis before they parted. To say it wasn't a good day for Mercedes was probably an understatement. Lewis was stuck behind Gasly majority of the race and didn't gain any positions. It was a quite underwhelming race. On lap 29 when Kaylen had pitted, the right front tire wouldn't come off so he had to retire from the race. He was very pissed off but Kallie was able to calm him down.
The race ended with Max Verstappen getting the win, Carlos Sainz gaining P2, and Lando Norris getting P3. Lewis started and ended with P7. Nobody was happy with the team today. It wasn't their best day.
Kallie had left with Jamie to go pick up some food as Kaylen drove back to the house with a sour mood. As the former driver got back home she could hear loud yells from the living room. The singer quickly rushed into the room, takeout bags in her hands, just to see Lewis and Kaylen laying on her couches playing a video game. "Why is there yelling?" The game paused and they turned around to see Kallie standing there looking appalled.
"Is that takeout? Did you get vegan?' Lewis reaches for the bag as Kaylen reached for the other one. "Do you know how many places I had to go just to find you a vegan burrito? You should be on your knees thanking me." Kallie scoffs, sitting down on the couch and Roscoe rests his head on her lap, gaining a small smile from her. "My apologies, sweetheart. Thank you. I can still get on my knees to thank you in many other ways if you want." Lewis says with a teasing grin.
"Whoa, chill with the flirting. I'm gonna throw up in my mouth." Kaylen scolds, taking a bite of his non-vegan burrito.
"Just- pass me the food," she stuttered out, trying not to think about him on his knees for her but the thought was shoved into her mind unwillingly. Lewis smirks to himself as Kaylen passes Kallie her food, the singer still flustered by his comment.
"Put on a movie," Kallie orders.
"I vote Cars 2," Lewis rebutted.
"Of course you do, Mr. 7th place." She retorts, getting a playful glare from him. "That's not funny." He says, grabbing a pillow and launching it at her.
"Did you guys want some privacy for this love fest?" Kaylen teased, only for two pillows to be launched at him by Lewis and Kallie.

It was late, Lewis had opted to stay the night at Kallie's because the siblings insisted that he shouldn't be driving so late. He got up to get a glass a water until he heard the distant sound of a piano sounding like it came from downstairs. He knew it had to be Kallie because Kaylen said earlier that she had a private studio downstairs after he gave him a tour. It was the one place Kaylen said was off limits, if you didn't count Kallie's room. So he made his way downstairs, finding the door open so that's how he must've heard the music cause otherwise the room was soundproofed.
"I prayed out loud and then there you were. Made for the veil, you're the way, the one. No doubt about it, you charge me up, you charge me up." Kallie sung softy, her eyes focused on the piano keys. She went to sing the next line until she paused, seeing Lewis leaning against the doorframe. "How'd you know I was down here?" She asks, brushing her braids away from her face. "I went to get some water and I heard the music." He explained, holding the glass of water in his hand for further proof.
"Shit, I must've left the door open. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." Kallie frowns, adjusting the papers with the song. "It's fine, you didn't wake me. What song was that?" He asked in curiosity. "Oh, uh, my sister sent it to me. She wrote it as sort of a lullaby for her son. She asked if I could try it on the piano and send it back so she could record it. It's called Sun/Son." Kallie explains, writing something down in her music book.
"Do you mind if I just sit here and listen? I won't bother you, promise." Kallie smiles softly and nods, watching him take a seat on the small sofa she had set up. Kallie continued to sing the lyrics, forming it into a song as her sister wanted. She recorded the piano separately as well. "I'm gonna be here for a while so you should probably go up and get some sleep." She says, standing up and walking over to her laptop so she could send the song to her sister.
"What are you gonna be working on? More songs for your sister?" He asks, his eyes following her movements.
"No, my sister is too busy with filming. She's not working on her next album until next year. I'm just gonna be working on some beats, try to find the perfect rhythms for the songs I wrote for my next album." Kallie sat down on a chair and flipped through her music book, finding the songs she wrote specifically for her next album. "I'm not gonna get sleep anytime soon, so is there any way I can be of service to you?" Lewis asks, standing up from the sofa and sitting in the chair beside her.
"Are you good with beats?" Kallie asked with a small smile.
"I'm pretty good with them." He shrugs, watching as she messed around the panel. "Good. I have this song I wrote but I have no idea what beat to use. My sister's producer, Jack, sent me a few beats he thought would be good for the album. Wanna help me pick?" She asks, her tone showing a hint of nervousness. She never once invited people to work on songs with her unless it was her producers, her sister, Taylor, and an artist that might be featured on the song. So this was all very nerve-wracking for her.
"I'd love to help you. Show me the song," Lewis grinned, happy that she was opening up to him, it meant way more that it was through her music.
"Okay, fair warning. Some of these are very R-rated. And all of these are inspired by a certain point in my life. Like most artists, I use music to express myself. This song is called "Alright" and it's not finished. I'm still working out the kinks." Kallie pulled out the paper from the folder and passed it to him. Watching his reaction to some of the words. "Wow. You weren't lying, definitely R-rated." She chuckles at his words, nodding along.
"They're some good lyrics, and normally you'd think it'd need to be loud and upbeat, but I think we can go for a softer beat, but also still make it something you could like dance to, you know?" Lewis says, his words catching her off guard, surprised that he knew what he was doing. "Yeah, I agree. You really know your stuff. I'm surprised I didn't know that about you." She says, taking the paper back with a chuckle. "There's a lot of stuff you don't know about me. Just gotta stick around to find out." He says with a small shrug, not taking his eyes off her.
"If you make me a hit, then we'll see." She jokes.
A few hours in the studio, they had so far produced and recorded three songs for her album, the first one being "Alright" the next one being "I'm The One" and "Goodbye." They had ordered food and drinks, all scattered around as they messed with another beat. A few times she left to the bathroom but he could hear her throwing up, and he would've brought it up but he didn't want to mess up what they had going on by getting into a potential argument. So he stayed silent, even though it was killing him to see her look so drained.
Kallie sighs, standing up from her chair. "It's a good beat and I wanna use it but it doesn't fit any of the songs I have in mind." She rants, running a tired hand over her face.
"What if we just make a new song?" Lewis pitches, turning in his chair to face her.
"I can't write songs to a beat, that's not where I shine. That's more my sister's thing." She responds, sitting down on the sofa and lying down. "Okay then what do you write to?" He asks, taking a sip of the large smoothie. "Uh, it normally just comes to me, but sometimes I can write when I'm playing the piano. It's why Kez let's me do the piano versions of her songs." She answered, not seeing where he was getting at.
"Then cover the beat with the piano and see where it goes from there. Even if it's something small, I'm sure we can make something of it." Kallie hums, nodding in agreement, she stands up and walks over to the piano. The piano was actually a gift from Taylor when Kallie released her first album in 2015. Lewis stood up, pressing the button to record and followed her to the piano. "Why are you recording?" She questioned, taking a seat, the driver moving to sit next to her.
"Just in case you get lost into my eyes and start kissing me," Lewis shrugged. Kallie laughs, shaking her head in amusement at the joke.
Kallie tested the piano, making sure she got it down perfectly. "Start whenever you're ready, sweetheart," he says in a soft tone. The singer closed her eyes, her fingers pressing against the keys as she thought of whatever came to mind. "Darker than the ocean, deeper than the sea." She sung softly, fingers pressing into the keys. "You got everything, you got what I need." She moving her eyes from the keys and onto Lewis's brown eyes, words forming into her head. "Touch me, you're electric, babe. Move me, take me from this place."
Lewis didn't take his eyes off her as he adjusted the mic closer so it could catch her soft voice. "Movin' to the tempo show me what it takes. Speedin' up my heartbeat playin' in the flames." She continued, not bothering to write the words down since they were recording. "Kiss me, we're on fire, babe. Love me, take me to outer space. Kiss me, we're on fire babe. Love me, take me to outer space." She suddenly stops, a frown covering her face. "That's all I got. I'm lost."
"Keep going." He encouraged, she didn't question him and continued to press her fingers down on the keys. "Covered in your water and I'm feelin' like a summer breeze." She blinked in shock, having no idea that he could sing but it came out perfectly, matching perfectly with her lyrics. "Submitted under power and you brought me to my knees. Use me, you're electric, babe. Move me, take me all the way." Kallie smiles to herself, taking her eyes off of his to look down at the keys.
Until he lifted his finger under her chin, pulling her eyes back to him. "Whisper in my ear, I'm the only one you lovin' on. Take advantage of the moment, you're the only one that I want." Lewis paused, his mind going blank, "that's all I got." She nods, "it's okay, that was all I needed. Repeat that last line again." She says, pressing her fingers down on the keys again. "Take advantage of the moment, you're the only one that I want."
"Kiss me, we're on fire, babe. Love me, take me to outer space." She sung, and he caught on to it. Both of them singing the next two lines together, their voices blending together perfectly. "Kiss me, we're on fire babe. Love me, take me to outer space." He paused, seeing she was gonna add new lyrics. "Melting like ice on a summer day. Hold me like you mean it, take me far away. Bodies movin' in, temperature risin'. Take me to the top then watch me fall in. Kiss me, we're on fire, babe. Love me, take me to outer space. Kiss me, we're on fire..babe."
She stopped, her fingers still brushing over the keys subconsciously, her eyes lost into his. He leaned in closer and she realized where this was going so she quickly stood up, clearing her throat. "Whoa, we just made a song."
Lewis run a hand over his mouth, nodding slowly. "Yeah, we made a song."
An hour later they had recorded the song and Kallie sent it over to Keziyah, Taylor, and Ariana, asking what their opinion was on it. Ariana had gotten back to her first, giving her a FaceTime call and saying how much she loved it, also praising Lewis for his voice. Taylor for some reason was up really late so she got back to Kallie immediately, deciding to listen to the song on FaceTime so Kallie would get her genuine reaction. Of course she loved it.
"Have you decided on a title?" Taylor asks, picking up her cat Meredith to bring her closer.
"Not yet. We're still trying to decide who we want to sing Lewis's part." Kallie answers, she was a bit sad that he didn't want to release their version but she understood and knew they could find someone really perfect for it. She was sure Keziyah could call in some favors. "Well, personally, when I listen to it, I think a relationship between two people clearly craving each other. What they have is...electric. I think you should call it Electric." Taylor said.
Kallie grinned, looking towards Lewis who was still in shock that he was talking to Taylor Swift not minutes after just speaking to Ariana Grande. "What do you think? Electric? You like it?" Lewis blinks out of his shocked state, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, I love it. It's perfect."
"Have you sent it to Kez? She's gonna love it. It's so sensual." Taylor's grin brightened when she spoke of her best friend who she may or may not have been in love with. "I have but she's probably sleeping, it's pretty late over there. Do you think you could send it to Jack for me?" Taylor nods, immediately reaching for her laptop to send the song to her good friend, Jack. "For sure. Do you have any options for Lewis's part?" She asks.
"I was thinking The Weeknd, cause he's one of Kezie's friends and he has a good sensual voice. Or maybe Frank Ocean." Kalle glanced down at the names on the list they wrote for potential features. Lewis didn't really want to the Weeknd, simply because his voice didn't fit the slow and sensual vibe of the song. Frank Ocean was a good choice too, but they weren't that sure his voice would pair of with Kallie's nicely. "Those are good choices." Taylor nods.
"What about Khalid?" Lewis questions, looking to Kallie for her opinion. He knew Keziyah had worked a song with Khalid before, and was good friends with him so maybe he'd agree to it.
"That's a good pick! He's got the perfect voice. I can ask Kezie to call him up." Taylor grinned excitedly, she loved to be apart of any music Kallie did. She always thought Kallie had the most amazing voice. "I gotta go but I will call you tomorrow as soon as I talk to Kez. I'm so proud of you, Kal. Your album is gonna be amazing." Taylor blew her a kiss and said their goodbyes before hanging up.
"I can't believe I just talked to Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift in the span of an hour." Lewis breathed out in shock, gaining a laugh from Kallie. "Is it just me or did you get off the vibes that Taylor is crushing on your sister?" He asked. Kallie chuckles and nods, "I'm surprised it took you that long to pick up on it. Guess who she wrote the song Enchanted, about? And Dress, and Gorgeous, and many many other songs. All inspired or about my sister."
"No way, seriously? So the rumors were true all along? Was Invisible String about your sister?" Lewis asked excitedly, making Kallie wonder if he was a secret swiftie.
"Not about but, it was inspired by her. As was Cornelia Street." Kallie grinned, the only reason she knew this was because Taylor had gotten drunk and went on a rant about all the songs written or inspired by her sister. She couldn't tell Kez though because she promised to keep it a secret. Plus, she knew they would find their way to each other eventually. And it's not like Kezie didn't have a small idea that some of them were inspired by her.
"Wait, in the Gorgeous song, she said the person had blue eyes, but your sister has brown," Lewis says in confusion. "Ah, she couldn't say brown eyes so she went with blue because Kez was filming a movie during that time and she had to wear blue contacts. Genius wording, right?" Kallie grins. "This is insane. You know I'm gonna be up all night listening to those songs." Lewis chuckles, grabbing his smoothie to take a sip.
"Why do that when I can just play them for you?" Kallie stood up, walking over to the piano excitedly, she loved playing Taylor's songs.
"You are just amazing, aren't you?" Lewis smiled, leaning back in his chair as she looked for the piano version of a Taylor song.
"Do you like the song Champagne Problems?" She asks, starting to play the piano cover of it.
"Who doesn't?"
"Guess what? I helped write it."
"Seriously?"
"Yeah," Kallie nodded, finding his excitement to be cute.
"Champagne Problems is officially my new favorite song."
