"We need to put the egg underwater."
"What are you talking about Harry?" Cassandra asked.
"I found out from Cedric. He told me to pay me back for warning him about the first task."
"What would putting the egg underwater even do?"
"I don't know but I'll go test it out. I know the password to the prefect's bathroom." Harry replied.
"Why do you know the password to the prefect's bathroom?"
"Cedric." Harry said, as if it were obvious.
"Alright then, good luck with that." Cassandra said, waving Harry off.
~~
Cassandra sat on her bed. The red sparks were coming from her hands again. She felt her hair start to float over her head. She repeatedly told herself to calm down. She got up from her bed, stumbling forward and onto the ground.
She pushed herself up off the ground and sighed. She was determined to walk down to Jack Dawson's office. She walked down the hallway to Jack Dawson's office, stumbling as she did so. She barely had any energy to knock on the door.
"Come in." Jack's voice came from behind the door.
Cassandra walked inside and sat down.
"Cassandra, what a pleasure it is to see you." Jack said, noticing her hair floating above her head and the red sparks coming from her hands.
He knew what she was about to ask him. She had been trying to pry him for weeks.
"What powers did she have?" Cassandra asked, wasting no time.
"Who?"
"Brooklyn Potter."
"I'm not allowed to disclose that information." Jack replied.
"Please. Just please tell me."
"Cassandra, I can't."
"Please Jack."
"Chaos magic."
Cassandra's face paled.
"Chaos magic? I thought that wasn't possible."
"It's hereditary. It hadn't appeared in such a long time, we thought it was gone. Brooklyn Potter is, was, closely related to you. You could inherit it from her."
"So that means, I have chaos magic too?" Cassandra asked.
"I don't know. We haven't studied you long enough."
"You're telling me you don't see the red sparks coming out of my hands and my hair floating above my head? What else could that be if it's not chaos magic?" Cassandra asked.
"You could be an elementist."
"The red sparks though? That's not a symptom of an elementist."
"You could be both, you know."
"I don't want to be either. What are the symptoms of an elementist, since you're so brilliant?"
"Basically the same symptom of being a wielder of chaos magic. Passing out, feeling faint constantly, unusual things happening."
"What does an elementist do?"
"The earth element allows you to control weather, raise/lower the ground and some other things that I can't think of at the moment. The water element allows you to breathe underwater and you basically are a waterbender. The wind element allows you to control the wind and you can even push air out of your hands making you fly. With the fire power you can create fire with your hands and heat things up, but be careful when you get mad. If you're touching something or someone it will heat up or your hands will have fire come out of them."
"That seems like a bunch of bullshit." Cassandra replied.
"We haven't seen an elementist in years, Cassandra. Neither a wielder of chaos magic, since Brooklyn Potter. She disappeared and nobody has seen her since." Jack said.
"When did she disappear?"
"After Lily and James died."
"Well that makes sense, you know, since James was her twin brother."
"Yes but Remus and I were her best friends, we would've known where she was."
"Tell me what I am." Cassandra demanded. "I know you know what I am."
"You're a wielder of chaos magic, just like Brooklyn Potter."
And with that, Cassandra passed out on the floor of Jack Dawson's office.
~~
Cassandra woke with a startle. Her eyes took a bit to adjust to her surroundings. She was in the hospital wing. She went to sit up when she realized she was chained to the bed.
"Jack Dawson!" Cassandra yelled. "You better let me go."
The curtains flew open, revealing Jack.
"I'm sorry, Cassandra." Jack replied. "I wasn't sure how you'd feel after passing out. Brooklyn kept passing out and as she woke up from passing out, she'd let out bursts of magic. That's why I moved you here and chained you to the bed. She would get up and she wouldn't even notice."
"What is going to happen to me, Jack?" Cassandra asked, the first time ever sounding nervous in front of him.
"I don't know Cassandra. I don't know if its going to go the same way that it did with Brooklyn. Have you ever passed out before?"
"Yes, six times within the past 3 years."
"That's a lot Cassie."
"I know. I told Remus about it."
"Remus."
"Yes, Remus."
"That wasn't a question, I was just repeating his name out loud for a second. What did he say about it?"
"He said that I should tell my dad, Snape."
"I hate that guy. I'm not supposed to be telling you that, but I really do hate him."
"Me too sometimes."
"Did you end up telling Snape?" Jack asked.
"No."
"No?"
"No. Nobody knows but me, you, Remus, and Sirius."
"Sirius Black knows?"
"Yes."
"Cassandra! You didn't tell me Sirius knew. God, he must not be feeling too good about this. You know, since Brooklyn."
"Does he know where she is?"
"No. I've been in contact with Sirius for a long long time and he has never mentioned anything about knowing her whereabouts. He would've told me."
"And you're sure you're not delusional?"
"Yes! He would've told me because I'm Brooklyn's best friend."
"I thought Lily, my mom, was her best friend."
"It was me, Lily, Brooklyn and Remus." Jack sighed. "We were always together, hardly ever seen apart. We were always friends but we got especially close during our fourth year at Hogwarts. Our fourth year was actually pretty wild. Your dad, James, did more extravagant things to ask Lily out."
"I really wish I met them."
"I know, I wish you would've met them too. Brooke was so like James. I really hope she's alive. She would be the biggest help with you right now."
"Will you help me?" Cassandra asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Yes, Cassandra, always."
