4 AM . Wondering what I am doing this early? Well, my -um- girl asked me to get ready and just meet her at the lobby in most casual clothes and sports shoes. Is it awkward to call someone your girl when you don't know whether she is your girl? Complicated right? Nevermind I will find my answers soon.

Anushka had texted me yesterday night about this plan after we were back from clubbing. We hadn't drank and I am assuming that's the reason she kept this early morning date. I changed into my black tracks and a simple white hoodie and rushed out of the room with my keys, wallet and phone.

As I reached the lobby, I saw Anushka talking with some guy who I assumed to be a driver, ready in her black biker shorts and white printed t-shirt. She looked cute in that outfit with her hair tied in a ponytail.

“Good morning” I wished her as I stood next to her. She looked at me and smiled, returning the wish.

“Okay, come fast we need to rush,” she pulled me along with her and quickly settled ourselves in the backseat of the car.

”Woah woah, calm down girl! What's the hurry and firstly tell me why this sudden date?” I asked her.

“Hurry because we can be late and this sudden date because it's our last day in Australia tomorrow which I assume the whole team would be together either roaming around or in one room playing video games. So I needed to see this and thought to convert it into a date. Also it would be memorable,” she explained. We didn't realise how fast time had passed with all the drama that had unwrapped a few days back.

“Hmm! You ain't wrong about our plans,” how predictable can we boys be. “But where are we going?”

“Looking at the time, haven't you guessed it!?” she asked me as if it was the most obvious thing to know.

“Umm- nope! I didn't think much and nor did I get time to think with your impromptu 12AM plan,” I said with my eyes narrowed at Anushka challenging her to laugh. She definitely would have if not for my eyes. Ha!

“Ohkay ohkay! Chill …. You will get to know it in the next half an hour. But I hope you have energy left after the bhangra you did last night,” Anushka laughed, visualising the chaos at the club yesterday. One night it was!

“My bhangra wasn't that bad! Anyways, I will manage,” I answered. Our car stopped at a spot which seemed to be a trail to somewhere. Where does this girl find all these trails from man! We both stepped out and started walking along the path, not talking much.

After a good, steep walk of 20-25 mins, we seemed to have reached our destination. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, we stood there with entwined hands, looking at the sunrise in front of us. Beautiful.

“I love you,” I whispered in her ears. Something as impromptu as this small hike, something I hadn't planned but it just came out and I meant what I said. I couldn't stop myself, I looked at her who stood there saying nothing. I didn't expect an answer, hell I didn't even expect myself to say this.

“I meant what I said but I don't need an answer now so let's just enjoy the view in front of us, let's enjoy the moment without any cameras. Let's just capture this in our hearts, which stays there forever.” I said sincerely.

“Yes,let's enjoy what's in front of us.” she said as we looked at the sky turning into different shades from red to orange to yellow. The peacefulness around them was something that they needed and got very rarely living in the city.

“This place is going to be special for me,” she suddenly said as she looked at the landscape in front of us. “I don't even know what to say,”

“Nothing, you don't need to tell me anything. Just stay comfortable like you always are,” I honestly told her.

“I am comfortable with you! That's the quality that I have always admired l, you never made me feel uneasy. It is always smooth but I am scared that it's too fast. At this point of life, I want something stable and something that I can come home to. So I don't want to rush things between us. I want to be fully satisfied,” she opened up.

“Nushkie, you don't need to say it back. Take your time, I will wait. I am not running anywhere. We both want the same thing from this relationship so there's nothing to worry about. I honestly don't want any answers if you aren't ready, heck, even I didn't know how those words slipped out of my mouth. But some things can't be kept hidden so I am glad now you know how I feel.” I said kissing her forehead and taking her in a side hug.

We sat there on the cliff in comfortable silence. Unfortunately, I needed to break it. I had to discuss the recent events that had taken place. I needed to know her point of view.

“Anushka,” I called her as she turned her face towards me and raised her eyebrows, indicating to me to continue. “I won't beat around the bush, why did you disconnect from the boys? Why did you not talk with me or anyone for that matter?” she looked down at her legs, not giving any answer. I slipped my hand under her chin and raised her head looking into her eyes, “There's nothing to be scared or ashamed of, girl”

That's all she needed to know as she opened her mouth to answer, “I was scared. I felt trapped with all my moves being either tracked or questioned by the fans and the media. I just wanted to stay confined in that room and do nothing so that the people couldn't raise their fingers on me. Till the time, they were trolling me due to my comments or my pictures, I was okay. I mean I could handle that, as I have dealt with that before too. Being friends with stars has disadvantages, but the day they questioned my relatives by Jassi, I felt disgusted! I didn't want to see any of you, I didn't want you all to think the same. So I did want I could. Stop hanging out with the guys.” By the end of her explanation, she had tears in her eyes which she was controlling.

“Sometimes, we should let them flow, you know,” I said, referring to her years which immediately rolled down her cheeks as she closed her eyes. I didn't stop her as she needed to let it go! Even though she had given back a solid reply to the people, she hadn't forgotten the comments.

“You know, you girls are strong! And you all need to know that. When you know it's not your mistake, why would you let those stupid people question you! You could have given them a reply then and there instead of disabling the comments. And cutting off the boys was never a solution, my girl. I can understand why you did that but in future, remember they consider you a part of their family so don't repeat the same mistake. We all are there standing beside you when you are right and moreover to correct you when you are wrong. That's what families do, right?” I said as I wiped the tears that flowed down her cheeks with my thumb. She nodded her head, understanding what I meant.

“I am sorry,”

“It's not needed, I just wanted you to know that we all are here no matter what,”

“I know that,” she whispered as she kept her head on my shoulder and we looked at the serene beauty in front of us.

It was indeed a memorable day, a date none of us would forget. Both of us had opened up and I was sure that I am never letting this girl here, go anywhere away.
