A/N: scraplet " talking"

Arabella was in Bulkhead vehicle mode with Miko as she put up some Slash Monkey music which the witch didn't mind. They drove through the all familiar tunnels where they found Ratchet activating the ground bridge for Arcee and Optimus.

Miko, Jack, Raf, and Arabella hop out of the vehicles, " Miss us doc bot?" Miko asked. Ratchet groaned as he looked at Optimus, " Ugh shouldn't they be in school?"

" On a Saturday? We have the whole weekend to spend with you" Miko says with a cheeky tone as Arabella gives her guardian an apologetic smile.

" Wasn't expecting a carpool. What gives Arcee?" Jack asked as he approached her.

" Tag team Jack. It's my turn to do exploration duty" Arcee answered.

" Oh too bad. It's a beautiful day for a ride. Would hate to feel guilty for leaving me indoors" mischievously says to his guardian, trying to make her guilty.

 " Arctic exploration duty"Arcee explains and deadpans. " Indoors where it's warm" Jack quickly said as he heads towards the human lounge. Arabella quietly chuckles at Jack's antics which Raf walks up to Optimus.

" The Artic? I always wanted to see snow" Raf excitedly asked.

" I would invite you to join Rafael but the conditions are much too extreme even for we Autobots" he explained as he begins to walk but stops. " But I will bring you back a snowball." Arabella could've sworn that she saw Optimus softly smiling behind the mask.

" That would be awesome" Raf excitedly said as everyone watched Arcee and Optimus head in the ground bridge.

" Transport complete," Ratchet says but the machine broke as smoke emits. " By the all spark" Ratchet groaned.

Arabella concerned looks at the machine as Ratchet asked for Bumblebee and Bulkhead's help. Raf goes to where Arabella after Miko and Jack took the controllers as the young witch was watching Ratchet trying to fix the ground bridge machine where he invites her to explore the place.

They walk through the giant corridor as she silently giggled over his cute actions of him being in an arctic exploration as she played along as well.

Both get freaked out by the sudden noise as Arabella draws out her wand and Raf hides behind her. Raf accidentally trips over something and he sees a blue eye metal creature staring at him. Raf gets frightened but Arabella looks at it curiously and with a hint of excitement.

" Hehe the Autobots never said anything about pets?" he curiously asked.

It chirps and whirs to Arabella as she nods and speaks to it like they are having a conversation.

" Wait you can understand it" Raf awed which it purrs under Arabella's touch. " I can understand all types of creatures" she explained as she look closer at the metal creature.

" My, my what pretty blue eyes you have. What's your name little one?" she gently asked which it looks up to Arabella.

" I don't have one but can you name me. I like you. You're nice" it chirped.

" How about Bluebell?" she asked which it chirped happily to its new name. She noticed another one poking out of the corners.

" I think we found a friend as well" Arabella pointed out, which Raf saw another one with purple eyes. Raf pulled out a giant bolt from his pocket, " wanna play fetch?" he asked as the purple eye creature jumped and twirled in excitement.

" Good boy, go get it" as fetches and eats the metal bolt, surprising both of them. " No! Don't eat that. You're gonna choke..." Raf shouts but it finishes as it scurries back.

" ... or not?" he questioned, " Huh so they eat metal" Arabella mutters as she watches it nudge Raf's leg.

They decided to go back and show the others, one that Raf was holding fell asleep in his arms as she cooed how cute it slept. Bluebell wanted the attention too so it nudged her cheeks which earn her giggling and scratching the chin.

Raf and Arabella find the others, " Hey guys, look what we found" Raf said. 

" We're busy... ahhhh!" Ratchet screams, everyone noticed the blue optic scraplet, which was still awake, sitting on Arabella's shoulder, and another one sleeping resting in Raf's arms which caused the Autobots to panic.

Ratchet, Bulkhead and Bumblebee had their cannons pointing at Arabella and Raf as Miko and Jack defends them.

" Hey, Hey what's with you guys!?" Miko exclaimed, worried.

" SCRAPLET! SCAPLET!" Bulkhead screams, still pointing his canons at them.

" What's a Scraplet?" both brunettes ask in sync.

" The most dangerous vermin to ever cross the face of Cybertron" Ratchet fearfully explains as Arabella looks at Bluebell, not seeing her as a dangerous creature but yet again don't judge a book by its cover.

The kids look at the medic in confusion and disbelief, " This? Are you kidding me" Jack asks questionly over the medic.

" You're giant robots and Scrappy here is teeny" Miko indicates the one sleeping in Raf's arms.

" You have no idea the damage that teeny thing can do" Bukhead frightfully exclaims as Arabella starts to get worried.

" aww he wouldn't hurt anything" Raf says as the purple optic scraplet wakes up and looks at the Autobots. It goes into a frenzy mode as it shows its rows of metal, sharp teeth, and pouncing towards the yellow and black colored scout.

" Galopin Gargoyles!" Arabella exclaimed as Bluebell see's another scraplet trying to eat Bumblebee's leg as it pounce at it, dodging all the blasts from Bulkhead and Ratchet. They watch Bluebell eats its own kind as it scuttles back to Arabella and rests on her shoulders.

The others were about to say something but Arabella stopped them, " No one hurting Bluebell, she protected us and hasn't attacked you guys yet." Bluebell purred as it rubs its head against her cheeks which shocked everyone. 

" Is the yellow and black one okay?" it worriedly chirps to Arabella.

" He'll be okay Bluebell," she said as everyone continues to stare at her in shock, " What?" she asked them.

" WAIT YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT IT'S SAYING!!!" the rest beside Raf shouted as Arabella winced from everyone shouting. Raf defended her, " Yeah she can all types of creatures" he explained as she sheepishly smiled at the other's shocked reaction.

" The orange and white one is loud and grumpy plus he looks old" Bluebell comments as Arabella coughs to cover up her laugh. 

Ratchet was the first to get out of the shocked trance, " You are certainly an interesting case Arabella but.." Ratchet goes to Bumblebee to check the damage.

Raf goes to Bee, apologizing for what happened but the scout reassures the young boy that he is okay. " It's only a mesh wound, he'll live" Ratchet confirms, Bulkhead looks to the rest of the kids, " Now do you believe me. All scraplets do is dismantle machinery and eat anything mental, especially living metal"

" Well, bug squash, game over right?" Jack asks, but Ratchet shakes his head in worry. " No, when it comes to Scraplets there is never just one" Ratchet explains,

" He's right, usually creatures this small travel in packs or groups to overwhelm their prey" she explains as the Autobots freeze up in fear from her explanation.

Arabella notices them and she sheepishly mutters sorry for scaring them.

" and I fear I know how they got in here" as the team goes to an extra room where a giant metal sphere was in the center. There was a giant hole that looked like the scraplets ate their way out.

" It's a scraplet trap" which Bulkhead gulps, " uh an empty scraplet trap" he added fearfully.

" Most likely ejected into space eons ago, only to end up into the Arctic where the temperature kept them in stasis"

" Until we brought the thaw" Jack grimly says, " and now they're wide awake, ready to brunch" Miko adds in.

" So how many are we talking about?" Raf asked.

" We are talking about thousands and the power malfunctions and ground bridge damage are sure signs that their infestation is well underway" Ratchet sullenly replies as they all head back to the main room.

Ratchet tries to communicate to Arcee and Optimus through the comlink but glitches, " Scrap! the scraplets have gone through the comlink system! If we don't eradicate these creatures immediately, they will reduce the entire base into a scrap heap!"

" I say we bug out of here and let them keep it!" Bulkhead exclaims as Bumblebee agrees with the wrecker.

" Evacuation is not an option. If we don't get the ground bridge back online stat, Optimus and Arcee will perish" Ratchet explains,

" aka Arcee and Optimus become frozen popsicles if we don't fix the ground bridge in time and we shouldn't run away from this" Arabella says as she rubs the bridge of her nose as Miko agreed.

" Arabella, you haven't seen a swam of these things devour a bot, I have. They pick you apart from the inside out going for the small, juicy bits first, fuse by fuse, circuit by circuit till there nothing left and I mean nothing, not even your optic" Bulkhead describes, Miko, Raf and Jack gawk at him.

" well, there goes my lunch" Arabella says as she tries not to imagine the horrid, description that Bulkhead provided for them.

" We can help" Jack said as the other humans join in. " We're not made of metal" Raf points out.

" Typically I find your fleshiness to be your least engaging quality but it would appear to provide an advantage under these extremes" Ratchet says.

" Arabella and I will be guarding Ratchet while he repairs the ground bridge as you guys pair up with a bot" Jack orders. " We go on a bug hunt " Miko says as Bulkhead and Bumblebee groan and shiver in fear.

As Raf, Bumblebee, Miko, and Bulkhead investigate, Arabella and Jack were guarding Ratchet. " How's it going over there?" Arabella asked. " I've repaired the damaged conduct and reroute the central circuits but the ground bridge still won't receive power" Ratchet frustratingly explains as Jack and Arabella see the scraplets as they try to attack Ratchet.

" Immobulus " Arabella's wand emits a light, blue ray that freezes the group of scraplets as Bluebell devours the others.

"Guys I can't freeze all of them" Arabella shouts as she feels starts to get overwhelmed by the swarm of scraplets, even Bluebell was getting tired of eating the other scraplets. The rest target Ratchet as they start eating him alive.

Jack and Arabella try to protect Ratchet as the witch shoots any attack and freezing spells at the tiny, metal demons. Arabella notices the fire extinguisher and shouts to Jack to use it, he grabs it and starts spaying them as Arabella uses freezing charms at them too.

Arabella notices everyone coming back as the scraplets prepare for the second wave of attack. " Protego " which a dull, opaque shield sphere that protects them as the scraplets try to penetrate the shield.

Miko, Raf, Jack, and Arabella manage to get rid of most of the scraplets as the chewed-up bots were exhausted and resting. " We got them all?" Jack asked as they heard rumbling noises around the base.

" You seriously had to jinx it Jack" Arabella huffed as Ratchet shakes his helm, " Hardly, these were just scouts" he groaned. " We must get the ground bridge working or Optimus and Arcee will never make it home"

" Ratchet, you repaired the damaged conduct and reroute the central circuits but what else is missing?" she asked as the medic was thinking over her question.

" If the ground bridge is still down, there must be a breach in the Energon fuel line" he said as the witch turns to the three humans.

" Jack, Miko and Raf, you guys should help fix the fuel line as I'll protect the bots since they are in no condition to move around" Arabella ordered as they nod at her and listen to the instructions from Ratchet.

Arabella watches the three leave to fix the fuel line. " So if we get - when we get the ground bridge open, we send the creepy crawlies out and bring out bots in?" Bulkhead asked Ratchet.

" Optimus and Arcee will be fresh meat if we bring them in first 

" And I'll lead them" as Arabella transfigured pieces of metal into a light, sturdy metal armour. 

" Absolutely not Arabella! , you will be put into great jeopardy " Ratchet exclaims as he tries to get up but is too exhausted.

"You guys are in no condition to move around so I'll lure them to the ground bridge " she explains as she finishes putting on the armor.

Before the others could say anything about it Jack yells to the others that they fixed it and tells Ratchet to activate it. The three kids run into the room, seeing Arabella in a shiny suit of armor as she grabbed a metal pipe and clangs it against her armor.

" And for the main course, a metal suit meal coming up" she shouts as she gains all of the scraplets attention and runs through the ground bridge with an armada of metal vermins chasing them beside Bluebell.

Arabella instantly was engulfed by the extreme cold but continued to run. She notices Optimus and Arcee making their way toward her, " GET DOWN!!!" she yells as she dove into the deep snow.

The scraplets notice the two, almost freezing bots as they head their way towards them but freeze instantly.

 Arabella shivered from the cold as the armor provided some protection from the harsh snow, " I'd invite you inside but the place is a mess" she jokily told them as Optimus picked up the young witch and entered the base.

Arabella instantly drank the Pepperup Potion to warm herself up but everyone looked at her funny when steam starts emitting from her ears as she explains that was a harmless side effect that should last an hour. Arabella did a hot air charm to warm up the two freezing bots as they melt under the warmth.

Now Arabella was using her magic to fix the mesh wounds on the bot's body as the others were checking everyone's health system.

" Perhaps you should get yourself some rest old friend. You saved quite a few lives today." Optimus says.

" It wasn't my doing" Ratchet replies as he sees the kids helping out. " We're fortunate that this infestation happened on a Saturday "

Arabella heard it and smiled at her guardian which he smiled back as well. " Our human friends may be small but they are strong " Optimus said but a scream interrupts the moment.

" Scraplet!?" Jack asked but Miko shakes her head in terror, " SPIDER!!!" she shrieks as she runs away. Arabella fought all her urges not to laugh as she remembered one of her redhead friend having a massive fear of spiders.

" Did she just scream like a little girl?" Bulkhead asked.

" She is a girl" Arabella deadpans as he sheepishly chuckles at her. Bluebell goes up to the unexpecting Ratchet as it chirps to him. Ratchet jumps at the sight of the blue optic scraplet as Optimus curiously watch the interaction. She climbs on Ratchet's shoulders as the medic tenses and starts sweating bullets.

Bluebell purrs and rubs her head against his cheeks, Ratchet hesitantly pets the scraplet head with a digit that she leans to the touch.

" Well that's cute" Arabella cooed, earning a small glare from Ratchet but letting Bluebell stay on his shoulder.

A/N: Finally finish writing this! I love the comic of Ratchet and the scraplet.
