Highfrost will naturally have more traditions and ceremonies than Hollowfell.

Apprentices at the age of twelve moons who are finishing their training to become a soldier must all participate in this particular trial.

They are all taken to a clearing within the forest below the camp where the Queen, Queensguard, Royal Circle, and the mentors sit waiting along with any others who wish to come and watch. The apprentices must all face off against the Grand Centurion one at a time and the Centurion is not allowed to go easy on them. It is a brutal trial that is meant to really test the skill and strength of the Kingdom's upcoming soldiers. They must all be able to successfully knock and pin the Centurion to the ground in order to pass this trial. Those who do not pass must be held back for another moon of training with their mentor. However, failing a second time will result in an apprentice getting badly demoted to...omega.

Both healers must be present and ready to treat the Centurion and apprentices once the trial is complete. Once it is, the apprentices who passed will stand before the Queen who will dip her paw in the blood of a deer and press it to their foreheads as a symbol of their 'graduation'.

Apprentices who are twelve moons of age and preparing to complete their final stage of training are sent out to track down and successfully kill a dire bear. It is the kingdom's belief that if a hunter apprentice can kill a beast like that, then they can kill just about anything. Not only is it a phenomenal accomplishment to hunt a dire bear, bringing one back would be enough to satisfy the kingdom for a few weeks.

The apprentices are sent out on their own at first and after waiting a while, the Master of the Hunt, both Healers, and at least two soldiers follow after them and sort of 'stalk'/watch the hunt. Only if things turn nasty, will the Master and soldiers have to intervene with the Healers on standby to heal any injuries.

When a wolf is either killed in battle, by another creature, from illness, or even stillborn pups—

The body(ies) is retrieved by the Healers and brought to the Great Physician's den where it is cleaned up. The clean-up merely consists of cleaning and dressing any wounds, ridding of any dirt, and trying to groom their fur to sort of lessen the deadened appearance. The Healers then draw markings on each other in red berry paste before doing so to the Physician. Then the body(ies) is taken to the center of the camp where it is laid out and surrounded by small stones that Healers place. The entire kingdom will normally attend the ceremony if they can and will come to sit around the body in silence with the Queen. After the Physician sends the spirit on to the Moon Goddess with just a few words such as, "May the Goddess embrace you.", the Queen will conclude the ceremony with words of her own regarding the fallen. Afterward, any family of the deceased are given time to mourn first. If there is no family, anyone else who wish to hold a silent vigil can do so.

The body is then taken back to the Physician's den where two soldiers take it out to be buried the next morning.

Any who wish to challenge the Queen for whatever reason, whether they are feeling ambitious or something else entirely, are granted the right. While it is rare, the Queen also holds the right to refuse should she deem it absolutely necessary.

The challenge is held in the center of camp where all may watch. The challenger must fight the Queen until one yields. No one is to intervene under any circumstances, no matter how gruesome the fight gets and there is to be NO killing. The only time killing could pass is if the challenger fully intended to kill the Queen and it turned to her fighting for her life. If a challenger ever killed the Queen, whether it is an outsider or part of the kingdom, then the pack is to kill the challenger in return.

Due to how fairly new Hollowfell is as a pack system, they have yet to finish creating traditions and ceremonies of their own. It is better left up to the creative minds of the entire pack.

When the Leader dies or steps down to retire, it comes time for the pack to take a vote and hold an 'election'. If everyone, including the Council, is in favor of the current Right Paw then they will be appointed as the new Leader. However, if they are not, then the Council holds the power to order the Right Paw to step down. Then the actual election takes place.

First, the pack members will take their time to truly choose one of the members they think will make the best fit. There may very well be more than one candidate, in which the pack will come together with the Council to decide on the final choice. The one with the most votes is then elected as the new Leader and set to undergo mild 'training' with the Council. Only then will the new Leader get to pick their Right Paw.

𝐉𝐔𝐃𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘

When a pack member has committed any sort of crime, they are brought before the entire pack, Council, and Leader where they are tried. They are given the fair chance to defend themselves and tell their story, however, it ultimately comes down to the decision of the Leader after careful analysis from the Council. Though, the punishment must fit the crime and if the Council sees any form of punishment as too extreme or not good enough for the crime committed, then their say has the power to override the Leader's.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆

Every full moon, the pack comes together for an entire night where they talk, feast, make up games, and then settle down to listen to stories of the 'ancestors' being told by anyone who has one to share.
