DOROTHY PEVENSIE WAS quickly pulled back by her older sister, Lucy Pevensie, as she almost ran across the street and almost getting hit by a car. The girls were wearing their school uniforms; red waistcoats and blazers, white shirts, and gray skirt or dress , black and yellow ties, and Mary Jane shoes. Lucy's hair was up in two braided pigtails but her hair was hidden with the gray hat she wore and Dorothy's hair was done in a Dutch French braid.
"Mind yourselves, loves," the driver shouted to them as he beeped his horn.
Dorothy gave him an apologetic look. "Oh, we're sorry," she shouted before she grabbed Lucy's hand and raced across the street.
"Watch where you're going!"
Lucy and Dorothy both ran quickly as they noticed their older sister, Susan, at the magazine stand, reading. As they ran closer, Dorothy notices she was now talking to an older boy who wore round glasses and she could tell Susan wanted to leave.
"Susan!" Lucy called out and Susan turned towards them as they approached their older sister.
"You'd better come quickly," Dorothy rushed out.
Susan glanced back at the boy, who had a confused look, before setting her newspaper on the stand and grabbed her suitcase. The three girls then rushed across the street and into the subway station. Dorothy could hear the chanting of students.
"Fight! Fight! Fight!"
The young girls pushed their way through the crowd. Down below on the platform, Peter Pevensie was in a fight with two other boys and he glanced up, noticing his three younger sisters in the crowd. While the younger two watched with worry, Susan had a disappointed scowl on her face.
Dorothy flinched as her older brother was flipped over the boy's shoulder and onto the ground. She was suddenly pushed aside, along with Susan, and saw that her other older brother, Edmund Pevensie, running through the crowd to help their brother.
"Edmund!" Dorothy and Lucy exclaimed.
Doroth, Lucy, and Susan watched as Edmund jumped onto the other boy, joining the fight. Peter was then thrown to the ground and then kicked in the stomach and as he stood up, he was tackled again. Suddenly, the sound of whistling broke through and everyone turned seeing a couple soldiers rushing towards the fight.
"Break it up."
"That's enough. Come on."
Dorothy and her sisters, along with the crowd of students, began to head up the stairs but the youngest glanced back as one of the soldiers separated to the boy from her brother.
"Act your age!"

After the fight, the five siblings all sat on a bench in the subway station. Dorothy was rubbing Peter's arm for comfort as Edmund sat on the other side of Peter.
"You're welcome," he says sarcastically towards Peter.
Peter gave him a look and stood up. "I had it sorted." He grumbled in annoyance.
Susan, who was on the other end of the bench and was on Lucy's side, sighed deeply. "What was it this time?" She questioned in a tone that sounded like their mother.
"He bumped me," Peter simply replied.
"So you hit him?" Lucy asked her brother in disbelief.
"No, after he bumped me, they tried to make me apologize. That's when I hit him."
"Honestly, Peter, is it that hard to just walk away?" Susan asked, causing her older brother to scoff.
"I shouldn't have to. I mean, don't you ever get tired of being treated like a kid?"
"Um," Edmund spoke up. "We are kids."
"Well, I wasn't always."
The siblings shared a look, knowing what Peter had meant. They knew how hard it was for Peter when they left Narnia a year ago. He started getting into fights and became moodier everyday. They couldn't blame them. They all missed Narnia but they all coped with dealing the departure in different ways.
Susan decided to just forget all about Narnia and accepted that they were never going to return. She continued on helping out her mother at home and did her studies for school. Edmund kept to himself and was much more quiet after they left, still traumatized about what the White Witch had done to him. Lucy decided to start becoming more artistic and began drawing paintings of Narnian creatures and also started to read more books.
Now, Dorothy on the other hand was the only one who truly believed that they would go back but she kept her mind off that by simply trying to be friends with kids her own age, which wasn't successful. She also began to read a lot as well, becoming more intelligent and educated and was even skipped up to Lucy's grade.
"It's been a year," Peter muttered as he sat on the bench between Edmund and Dorothy. "How long does he expect us to wait?"
"I think it's time to accept that we live here. It's no use pretending any different," Susan explained crossing her arms and looked behind her. "Oh, no," she muttered before turning back to her siblings. "Pretend you're talking to me."
"We are talking to you," Edmund stated as a matter of factually and in return, Susan gave him a look.
Suddenly, Dorothy felt something pinch the bottom of her back, "OW!" she exclaimed, standing up.
"Quiet, Dora," Susan scolds.
"Something pinched me!"
"Hey, stop pulling!" Peter exclaimed, glaring down at Edmund.
"I'm not touching you."
"Look, will you all just--"
"Ouch, Susan!" Lucy exclaims, standing up as well.
"What is that?" Susan wondered, standing up.
Dorothy looked up at her siblings with an excited look, "It feels like magic!" She announced as she shared a wide smile with Lucy.
"Quick, everyone hold hands!" Susan ordered, grabbing hold of Lucy's hand as Lucy grabbed a hold of Dorothy;s.
Peter grabbed a hold of Dorothy's other hand and held his other one to Edmund, who shook his head.
"I'm not holding your hand!"
"Just--"
The train began to speed up faster and the wind began to pick up, causing Lucy's hand to blow away. The tiles of the walls and ceiling began to break down as papers began to fly around. Soon, the train disappeared and the siblings were now in a cave.
Slowly, the siblings let go of each other as they walked out, looking at the scenery. They were at a beach and watched as the waves pushed and pulled away from the shore. Dorothy was the first one to step out of line and smiled towards Lucy and Susan.
Together, the sisters ran off and were followed by their brothers.
"Shame you're not as quick as me, Ed!" Peter shouted playfully, pushing his younger brother back.
"Last one in is a rotten egg!" Dorothy childishly called out.
The siblings quickly took off their socks and shoes, ties, and their blazers and waistcoats before jumping into the water. They splashed each other with big smiles on their faces, happy that they are back in Narnia.
"Ed? Ed!"
However, Edmund wasn't paying attention to Susan as she called out to him, and the others looked towards him confusingly. He was gazing upwards, holding a look of confusion on his own face.
"What is it?" Peter asked, gaining his attention.
He glanced towards Peter for a split second before glancing back up. "Where do you suppose we are?" Edmund questioned his siblings.
"Where do you think?"
"Well, I don't remember any ruins in Narnia."
Dorothy and her siblings looked to where he was looking, noticing the ruins on top of the cliffs. They made there way towards the ruins, passing many apple trees. Peter, who was leading the way, grabbed an apple from the branch and turned to his youngest sister.
"Dorothy."
The younger blonde looked up just in time to see Peter throwing the apple towards her. She caught it with ease, smiling at Peter. "Thanks," she thanked before taking a bite of the apple. "Does anyone still have their sandwiches?"
"Well, I left mine in my bag, and I left my bag in the train station, and then I left the train station in England." Peter joked, causing the others to chuckle.

Once they made it to the top of the cliff, everyone split up and began to look around. Dorothy held hands with Lucy and continued to eat the apple that Peter had given to her earlier, occasionally letting Lucy have a bite as well. The two youngest sisters both walked to a small edge that looked out to the sea.
"Wonder who lived here," Lucy says softly as they both turned to their brothers and sister, who were now in sight of them, studying the ruins.
Susan, being the closest one to Lucy and Dorothy, was about to make her way towards them until she stepped on something. She looked at what she stepped on before bending down to pick up a golden piece chess set.
"I think we did."
As they stared at the piece that Susan was holding, Dorothy and Lucy made their way over. Edmund then appeared from behind a wall and made his way towards the girls, noticing the piece Susan held in her hand.
"Hey, that's mine from my chess set," Edmund spoke, standing next to Dorothy.
"Which chess set?" Peter questioned as he made his way over, staring at his younger brother.
Edmund looked up at Peter annoyingly before stepping towards Susan and grabbed the golden piece. "Well, I didn't exactly have a solid gold chess set in Finchley, did I?" He asks sarcastically, earning an eye roll from Peter.
Dorothy ignored them both, looking behind past Susan. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion when she saw five unrecognizable stones that once stood a large platform. There were also pillars all the way down like an aisle that were nearly broken and half their original sizes. Her eyes widened in realization as recognized what this place was.
"It can't be," she muttered before quickly dashing in that direction with her other siblings following after her. She grabbed Peter's hand, looking up at him. "Don't you see?"
"What?" he responded confusingly.
Dorothy simply pulled him to stand in front of one of the stones. "Imagine walls," she ordered before grabbing Edmund and made him stand on the one side of Peter, "and columns there."
She then rushed towards Susan and Lucy, pushing Susan to stand on the other side of Peter and pulled Lucy to stand next to Susan before rushing to stand next to Lucy.
"And a glass roof."
It took the others a few minutes until finally, Peter got it.
"Cair Paravel."
