Azula had just got woken up by Tuk shaking him, "Azula, Azula, wake up." She screamed.

Azula rolled over, facing her. "What is it, Tuk?" He rubbed his eye, adjusting to light.

"Can you play with me?" She asked.

Azula sat up and swung his legs around, "Why didn't you just ask Neteyam, I'm sure he's not asleep." Azula picked Tuk up and placed her in his lap.

"He left early this morning, I don't know where he is." She answered as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Loak?" Azula furrowed his brows.

"He said no" Tuk pouted.

"That skxawng. I'll play with you Tuk." Azula patted her head as he face lit up and she hopped down from his lap and ran out of his room.

The smile on his little sister's face made everything worth it, from her waking him up early in the morning to how bored he would get playing with her, but he would never dare show it.

Azula got up and went into the main area of their pod where he saw Tuk getting her toys ready for him, "What are we playing?" Azula asked her.

"You'll see." She answered, a smile still spread across her face.

After she finished setting up her toys, she ran over to him and grabbed his hand, dragging him to where they were set up. She jumped up and down, excitedly. Azula sat down as Tuk followed. She grabbed a toy and handed it to him as she grabbed her own. Azula tilted his head and smiled as he saw how happy she was.

They had been playing for a while when Azula saw someone standing in the opening of their pod, "You guys are so cute together." Azula heard Vara's voice echo in his ear.

He looked up as his smile widened, "Vara!" Tuk beamed and ran towards her. "do you wanna play with us?" She asked. "Of course." Vara smiled. Tuk grabbed her hand and dragged her over to where she had been sitting.

Vara sat down next to Tuk as she followed, handing her a toy. "What are you guys playing?" Vara questioned. "Apparently she doesn't feel like telling me the name of the game. Maybe she'll tell you." Azula leaned over, whispering in Vara's ear.

Vara stifled a laugh as she put her hand on Tuk's head, teasing her. "Why won't you tell your big brother?" She questioned. Tuk got up and walked towards Vara, leaning down and whispering, "because I don't have a name for it." Tuk giggled as Vara followed and laughed with her.

"What, what's so funny?" Azula raised his eyebrows. "Nothing. Just something between us girls." Vara smiled as Tuk shook her head a Azula. Azula followed with an eyeroll towards them.

Eclipse had just started to fall and Tuk had got a bit tired of playing, "Hey Tuk, how about we go for a walk?" Vara suggested. "Yeah." Tuk beamed as she jumped up and ran to Azula and helped him up.

"Tuk," Vara held out her hand for her to grab. Tuk grabbed her hand, walking in between Azula and Vara as they walked out of the pod and down to the shore. "Where's the flowers?" Tuk questioned. "Flowers?" Azula's brows furrowed.

"Me and Tuk hung out the other day and she found some flowers that she really liked." Vara answered, gazing towards Azula. "oh, well where are they." Azula questioned.

"Over here," Vara pointed as Tuk ran towards them. Because of the eclipse everything was starting to show their bioluminescence, making everything even more beautiful than it already was. Vara and Azula followed Tuk over to the flowers.

"Their even prettier now." Tuk beamed as she started playing with the flowers. Azula bent down and plucked one. He brought it up as he turned towards Vara. He brought his free hand up towards her face and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. He then placed the flower behind her ear, letting his hand rest on her face for a while. He gazed at it making Vara even more beautiful than she already was.

Vara softened her gaze, and she smiled up at Azula, "Thank you" she whispered. Azula smiled and shook his head slightly.

"Hey Tuk, let's go okay." Vara said as she reached her hand out for Tuk and they started heading back to the shore, continuing their walk.

"I'm tired, can you carry me?" Tuk said as she looked up at Vara. Vara looked towards Azula, giving him a look that asked if she could. He shook his head slightly as he smiled.

Vara picked Tuk up as her legs wrapped around her waist and arms around her neck. She rested her head on Vara's chest.

As Azula and Vara continued to walk, Tuk had fallen asleep in Vara's arms. "So, since Tuk is asleep, can we talk about a pressing matter?" Azula asked.

"And what would that pressing matter be exactly?" Vara questioned him back.

"Our second date. And by the way I like your hair" He answered.

Vara's hear was down and she had two braids going from the front to the back. It had tiny white flowers all the way through it, with the addition of Azula's flower, and pink seashells at the end of the braids.

"Isn't this our second date? And thank you" She raised her eyebrows.

"I think we deserve a proper date." Azula stated as he snaked his arm around Vara's waist. Vara flinched at his touch as her calm expression changed to shocked and her breathing increased.

"What?" Azula questioned, hesitant of his hand still being around her waist.

Vara swallowed hard as her head titled away from Azula. Azula turned her body towards him, removing his hand from her waist, "Vara what it is? What did I do?" He questioned. Vara had her head tilted down with a pained expression.

"Please, tell me what I did wrong." Azula grabbed her chin and tilted her head up towards him.

Vara gazed into his eyes, "It's just my mom always used to hug my waist, and nobody's done it since she, since she left. So, when you did it... I guess what I'm saying is, nobody's touched me there since my mom. I was just shocked." Vara expression softened.

Azula tilted his head as his gaze softened, "I'm sorry. Is it okay that I touched you there?" Azula questioned.

"Yeah, if anything it felt...nice." Vara smiled.

Azula smiled, "let's get Tuk home." He stated as he placed his hand on Vara's back and started walking towards his pod.

They got to the front of Azula's pod and faced each other, "Here let me take her." Azula reached out and took Tuk from Vara as Tuk nuzzled her head into his neck. "I'm going to take her inside, wait here." Azula stated.

Azula came back outside, "It was fun tonight." Vara smiled.

"I'm glad you came around, I had been playing with Tuk all day." Azula sighed.

"Is that a bad thing?" Vara accused.

"What, no. I don't-

"You need to learn to take a joke, dude." Vara teased.

"Dude, is that what I am to you?" Azula questioned.

"Depends, what am I to you." Vara stepped closer to Azula, being mere inches away.

"You want me to be serious?" Azula questioned.

Vara shook her head slightly, "I-I love you, Vara." Azula softened his gaze.

As those words left his lips, Vara realized all the things that she felt also, she loved him to and that scared her tremendously. She backed away slightly, it looking like she was trying to say something but couldn't quite get it out.

Azula figure turned into a defeat stance as he realized that Vara had just backed away, "Vara I'm sor-

-I love you too." Vara interrupted him, "And that scares me to death, Azula." Vara got closer to him again. "Does that not scare you?" Vara questioned.

"It terrifies me but I want you more than anything Vara." Azula admitted.

"You want me?" Vara raised her eyebrows.

"Yes" Azula stated as he noticed Vara backing up again, this time she started running away. "Vara where are you going?" Azula yelled.

He rolled his eyes as he started to follow her, running into the trees with her.

He caught up to her as she turned around and grabbed his wrists and giggled. Azula looked at her trying to figure out what she was doing. She pulled him into a tree that looked almost the same as the tree of souls from the forest except it wasn't an ancestor's tree, it was just a normal tree. He was mesmerized by the resemblance and the beauty of the tree.

Vara stopped pulling his wrist, "Azula' her voice echoed in his ear. He looked towards her, tilting his head. He was met with her lips colliding with his as he pulled her closer to him, Deeping the kiss.

Vara pulled away as she pulled Azula down to the ground, him furrowing his brows, not understanding what she was doing. "You really want me?" Vara questioned again.

"Yes, Vara what are you doing?" He questioned.

Vara moved her hand towards the back of her head and pulled her queue around her shoulder. Azula's eyes widened, "Vara," Azula raised his eyebrows.

"Azula ever since you got here a year ago, my life has been so much better. I love you so much and I want you, I don't want anyone else. But if you don't want to I-

-Vara," He reached behind his head and pulled his queue around his shoulder. "I want you more than anything." Azula paused, "but are you sure? I mean we haven't had our second date." Azula stifled a laugh.

"I'm pretty sure we've had our second date and many more, Azula." Vara stated as she gazed deeply into Azula's eyes. Azula smiled as he moved his queue closer to hers, letting them intertwine.

As they connected Vara placed her hand on Azula's cheek and kissed him, passionately. Azula's hands ran down her back as he deepened the kiss. As their lips moved in sync, Azula leaned back, his back hitting the ground.

Vara raised herself up, looking down towards Azula, his hands still on her back. Azula opened his eyes slowing, taking in the view of Vara in front of him, her now being his mate.

"I see you, Azula." Vara stated.

"I see you, Vara" Azula followed.

Vara smiled as she laid her head down onto Azula's chest. He wrapped his arms around her tightly, smiling to himself. They both drifted to sleep, in each other's arms, content.
