( SEONU MI-CHA )
"𝖎𝖙𝖘 𝖘𝖚𝖈𝖍 𝖆 𝖕𝖎𝖙𝖞, 𝖆 𝖇𝖔𝖞 𝖘𝖔 𝖕𝖗𝖊𝖙𝖙𝖞"
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*"𝐌𝐈-𝐂𝐇𝐀 𝐈𝐅 𝐘𝐎𝐔'𝐑𝐄 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐊𝐄!" her fathers thick korean accent yelled from somewhere in the hallway of the large house. the girl groaned into the air before rolling and stuffing her face into her pillow.
she'd already recieved enough scolding from her father the night before after losing her phone the first night back in seoul. she hadn't spoken to the man since and didn't expect to speak to him that morning either. she reluctantly pulled herself out of bed, and begrudgingly began preparing for the day.
5 minutes of getting ready eventually turned into an hour and she was finally ready for the day as she stared at herself in the sebom high school uniform. the uniform was not as bad as she expected but the blazer was personally not doing it for her. she removed it and folded it over her handbag before leaving her room.
"i've gotten you a replacement phone for now. lose this one and i won't be getting a new one" her fathers voice spoke as she entered the dining room. various foods were layed out for breakfast but she doubted she had time.
it was odd she'd admit hearing korean constantly. it was her native language but she'd grown away from it the older she got. she was more used to english or french and was even fluent in german. anything she could to remove the thought of seoul from her memory.
"thank you, appa" she thanked as she kissed her fathers cheek and slid the new mobile into her pocket. she'd need to retrieve odette and josephine's numbers she'd reminded herself. her father had expectedly already programmed his and her mothers numbers in.
not trying to stick around she picked up two chocolate covered crepes and wrapped it them in a serviette before bidding her father a farewell and making her way to sung-ho who stood at the door with her coat in hand.
"𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰" sung-ho warned the girl as she sat in the back of the car and only stared at the school in front. the man had known the girl since she was 5 so didn't bother with formalities anymore.
she glared him through the rear view mirror before opening the door with an eye roll and waving the man goodbye. she had prepared herself for the stares and gossip the night before but now as she stood alone in front of so many people she felt completely lost.
"miss. seonu" a voice said suddenly from her side as she turnt with confused eyes before coming face to face with what she expected to be a teacher. the woman had kind eyes, ones that reminded her of her mothers.
she gestured to follow her as she walked towards the school. mi-cha was confident and strong but she was still an eighteen year old who hadn't been to school since the age of 15. befriending people her own age was a challenge she knew she'd eventually face.
"oh my, it's mi-cha" various whispers began as she kept her head held high and her grip on her bag strong. "the rumours are true" they were just kids with their own opinions. "she's skinnier in real life" kids with their own stupid opinions.
the sound of a motorcycle revving pulled her attention away from her thoughts. a familiar motorcycle she realised. "a motorcycle! a motorcycle!" some students yelled as it drove straight through the students near the doors.
"that boy" she heard the teacher mutter under her breath in english before placing a soft hand on mi-chas lower back dragging her away from the commotion.
this was going to be an exciting year she thought to herself as she watched motorcycle boy remove his helmet. he truly was pretty beyond comprehension. he was something that could keep her interested she thought to herself.
"mr. han" mi-cha repeated to herself as she stood outside of the class. before she could open the door herself she found a hand sliding the door before her, motorcycle boy and an older man who she assumed to be a teacher stood to her side.
"ah, miss. seonu!" the older man exclaimed with a wide smile as he gestured the two students in. seojun allowed himself to look down at the girl before realisation crossed his features and an annoyed expression took over.
"you" he whispered viciously as he followed behind her, his finger daring to dig into her back but she turnt before he could.
"me" she repeated as she stood beside him, voice low and eyes on the other students who looked either shocked or annoyed. at who she didn't want to know.
"hello! alright, seojun is back now. good to see him, right?" mr. hand said to the class before they all replied in various 'yes' "lets give him a round of applause" the class clapped.
mi-cha had really been away from korea for so long she forgot all of the useless things people would do in school. she felt her fingers dig deeper into her bag straps as she stared straight ahead at the girl she recognised from the day before. the one who basically saved her life.
"seo jun, sit next to suho" mr. han directed. seojun didn't seem to like that idea as he questioned him before walking up to the girl from yesterday, kicking her table and telling her to move/
"me?" she asked cluelessly. she was very pretty mi-cha noted. fitted the korean beauty standards amazingly. something she tried to conform herself into doing at a very young age.
after a small moment another student named tae hoon decided to sit next to suho allowing seojun to take his seat at the back. all eyes now focused on mi-cha again. her eyes scanned the class taking in all of their expressions. they stopped on the face of the boy named suho. that name was nagging her.
"now class, we have a new student. seonu mi-cha! she's transferred from england. let's give her a round of applause" the man said cheerily, a genuine happiness emitting from him. something mi-cha hadn't felt in years.
the class all clapped as compliments were thrown at her and large smiles offered her way. she bowed slightly before sending small and awkward smiles back.
seojun observed her from his spot. he made sure not to stare too long incase someone caught him but for someone as pretty as her she didn't seem to be that secure in herself. or maybe it was the awkwardness of being new.
"you can take a seat in front of seojun" mr. hand smiled well nodding forward. the girl slowly made her way and took the seat before dropping her bag to the floor. she could feel him burning holes into her back.
"we will we start now" mr. hand announced as he began going on about something involving love and people. mi-cha spaced out to be fair and instead concentrated on the people around the class.
her hands finding the corner of her desk closest to her and her fingers making soft taps against the wood. something she didn't think anyone but herself could hear. seojun however could hear it clearly. the sound helping him drift off to sleep.
𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 and mi-cha sat at her desk with her phone in her hand. she had turnt around enough times to know seojun was asleep and she watched as suho and some other girl left the class together. her fingers typed out calmly to odette.
the girl had just been cast in a new calvin klein ad and had gotten sent the pictures before they were published. mi-cha found herself smiling at the black and white photos of the redhead subconsciously well students like choi soo ah, lee tae-hoon and lim jugyeong stared at her.
soo ah admired her with her head in her hand and a hypnotised expression. she'd seen every magazine spread the girl had been in and watched every interview she'd appeared in. "i can't believe she's at our school" the girl muttered.
jugyeong was confused on who the girl was but as she stared for a few more seconds she recognised her as one of the actresses she saw in an american movie she'd watched a few months back. it was jurassic world 2 she was sure.
"oh she's that actress!" the girl exclaimed as her eyes widened and her hands clasped eachother. soo ah nodded before tae-hoon butted in "she's like a super model" the boy said making sure to keep his voice low so she didn't hear them.
mi-chas attention was brought back to her phone as odette replied to a selfie she'd sent.

the guy behind you has nice hair
any cute boys?
mi-cha only rolled her eyes playfully in response to her friend as that was obviously the first thing on her mind. seojun had lifted his head at that moment, cracking his neck before deciding to look over the girls shoulder.
the guys behind me isn't that bad
it took seojun a second to read the message in english before a smirk overtook his features, his fingers finding her hair and pulling a strand back making the girl yelp. she turned to glare at him only to find him smiling.
"you have my helmet" the boy said, ignoring what he'd read on her phone. she tilted her head confused before she realised that he'd recognised her properly.
"and you have my phone?" she assumed hoping that she was right. the boy raised an eyebrow putting two and two together and fishing the cracked device out of his bag. her eyes seemed to light up as she went to grab it before he stood from his seat.
she was taken a back for a second before she followed him out of her seat and went to grab her phone. did he not know who she was? "give me my phone" she whispered harshly but lowly so no one would hear.
seojun seemed to find enjoyment in watching her get annoyed, her cheeks beginning to tint pink as she went to reach for the phone once again. "give me my helmet" he retorted, his tone serious but his actions playful.
before she could reply the classroom doors opening brought everyone's attention towards the large group of boys who entered. the group immediately approached seojun, one of them pushing mi-cha to the side.
the girls arm was caught by jugyeong who stood from her desk, mi-cha sending her a weak smile as she stared at the scene in front of her. she was getting real sick of the attitude from the boys in this school.
"if you returned. you should've shown your face and said hi" the main guy said as seojun sighed out loudly and walked up so they were facing eachother. mi-cha could only roll her eyes in response to the scene before grabbing her new phone from her desk and making her way out of the class.
"𝐬𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐮 𝐦𝐢-𝐜𝐡𝐚!" soo ah yelled out across the cafeteria as mi cha entered. the whole room seemed to have turnt as the girl waved her over. she decided whether or not to just sit alone but decided she'd rather not sit alone everyday.
she besides jugyeong and across from soo ah and the girl who left the class with suho. placing her tray down she tuned into the conversation min ah was having "there's a terrible rumour that he beat a student until he was nearly half-alive, so that's why he took a break from school"
mi-cha was confused on who they spoke about before she followed their eyes to seojun and the guys who has threatened him earlier.
"i'm kang su-jin" the girl across from mi-cha introduced as she stuck a hand out. mi-cha gladly accepted it as she smiled at the pretty girl across her. "that's choi soo ah and tae-hoon her boyfriend. and this is jugyeong, she's new as well"
they all bowed or waved to eachother before mi-cha pulled out a salad from her bag and a smoothie. she'd had her father order the smoothies from france in bulk so she wouldn't miss the taste.
"that's seonu mi-cha. she's the prettiest girl ever" she heard two boys say from the lunch que as multiple males turnt their gaze to her table "and shes with the school goddess. they're so pretty, right?"
"that's amazing, they look pretty eating, too" she wanted to roll her eyes considering she looked exactly the same, her gaze turning to jugyeong knowing no one else would possess that title of the school goddess.
"their class is so lucky" someone sighed out as they walked behind their table.
"i miss london" she sighed as she dramatically flung her head into her arms which were crossed on the table.
𝐠𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞. the girl didn't consider herself heavily religious but at the age of fifteen she'd allowed herself to begin attending church. god had brought her comfort when needed and he always seemed to be on her side. so how did she end up across from han seojun in class.
"you all researched about the poets we talked about last time, right? it's a group project so discuss and make a presentation" she wished she could drown out the mans voice and focus on her instagram, multiple accounts already tagging her in reports of why she'd return to korea.
seojun found himself staring at the girl with a confused look, his head tilted so slightly it would look like he was daydreaming but sujin realised it was mi-cha he was staring at. a small smile gracing her lips.
"hey, han seo jun. do you know how to do a PPT?" su jin asked dragging mi-chas attention from her phone which she faced flat down on the table.
the mullet boy turned to sujin with a careless expression "a fitting. of course" he sighed out in confidence as he adjusted his blazer and fixed his hair "i used to be a fitting model, you know."
sujin, soo ah and mi-cha all shared a look before mi-cha rolled her eyes and threw a pencil at the boy "you're so annoying" she muttered as she glared at him.
he held a hand to where the pencil hit him before glaring at her "you wound me princess"
she kicked him under the table before scoffing "don't call me that" the nickname getting under her skin more than she'd liked to admit. she'd known this boy for no longer than a day and already couldn't stand him. she just wanted to give him his stupid helmet so she could get her phone back.
seojun and her both scoffed at the same time before turning their bodies so they no longer had to face eachother. soo ah looking between the two in concern before deciding to discuss the project with sujin.
"𝐢 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨" mi-cha exclaimed dramatically into the phone as she flopped onto her bed, the bow on her uniform being undone in a second and a hoodie she'd stolen from an old french beau thrown on top.
there had been multiple articles on why she'd return to seoul, ranging from an unexpected pregnancy, a death in the family and some even going as far as to say she'd been kicked out of london.
she knew how this would affect her career but she also knew she was too big to ever lose everything she'd attained for herself. josephine and odette both stared at the girls ceiling as they sat and facetimed their friend.
"they're just silly reporters trying to make money for themselves" odette tried to comfort her but she knew it'd be no help when mi-cha began to overthink.
"you're seonu mi-cha, it's not like they can ruin your career" josephine pointed out as she stroked her german shepherd which rested by her feet.
mi-cha wasn't known to worry too much about the public, but well in korea she'd not have as much control on manipulating things to work out in her favour as she did in other places. the nagging feeling that something bad would happen stuck with her day and night and she just didn't know how to calm it.
