—— IF THERE WAS one thing I appreciated most in the universe, it would be recognition. I don't mean fans coming up to me in the street and knowing who I am, I mean someone looking deep into my soul and picking out their favourite pieces and turning them into my favourite pieces too.

I genuinely smiled as I looked through Alexis' story. Seeing her so happy and having a good time after last night made my heart swell. I held down on the screen, freezing the picture in time and smiling softly.

"What are you looking at?" Hannah asked, dropping her clothes to the floor. 

She was holding up different dresses and shirt and jean combinations, planning her party outfit, but I couldn't care less. It really wasn't that deep, it's not like anyone there actually knew her, or would remember her. From what Alexis told me about English school students, they're very. . . self absorbed, only seem to care about themselves, and even if they did focus on Hannah, they'd forget her by the next day.

Gossip spread quick, but left just as quickly.

Roman was a weird guy. Funny, but weird. I guess that's why he and Isaac got on so well, their humours complimented each others. So I was confused as to where Oscar fit into all this. I've not actually come into contact or had a conversation with him, so I have no idea what he's actually like.

Maybe I shouldn't judge without experiencing first.

Alexis seemed happy with him. Happy. But not ecstatic. Not like when she was with me.

I wonder if she thought the same about me and Hannah. I wonder if she looks at Hannah's posts and notices that the shining spark of adoration in my eye doesn't glimmer anymore. Because she's not there. She's the flame that sparks it back up again.

My plan was to really smooth things over with her at this party. To speak to her in person and apologise. I didn't want to cause any problems, I just wanted peace.

No, scratch that.

I just wanted Alexis.

England will be an eventful trip.
