AMARA LEE-KIM [ F / WOOLLIM ] : If we aren't introducing ourselves, what else are we supposed to say?

ISAAC BAE [ M / WOOLLIM ] : Right, but-

JO HWAYOUNG [ F / WOOLLIM ] : (raises hand) How about we just introduce ourselves. On the count of three, ready? One, two, three!

WOOLLIM TRAINEES : Here to 'woo' you with our talents! Hello Cloud Nineteen! We are the Woollim Entertainment trainees!

JO HWAYOUNG [ F / WOOLLIM ] : That wasn't too bad, let's try not create a big fuss next time, guys.

AMARA LEE-KIM [ F / WOOLLIM ] : Weren't you just the one worrying about the camera catching your bad side?

JO HWAYOUNG [ F / WOOLLIM ] : ...

CAIRO HWANG [ M / WOOLLIM ] : Maybe we should just go to the stage.

AMARA LEE-KIM [ F / WOOLLIM ] : Don't worry, we're all close friends. This is just friendly teasing, everyone.

THE WOOLLIM TRAINEES MAKE THEIR WAY TO THE STAGE, SEEMINGLY TO HAVE SUDDENLY FORGOTTEN ABOUT THEIR MINOR SQUABBLE.

KEVIN KANG [ M / WOOLLIM ] : This is bigger than I thought. There's only 38 of us, but the size of the stage is almost the same size as the ones from Produce.

AMARA LEE-KIM [ F / WOOLLIM ] : Like the size of the stage could ever match up to the size of my confidence.

BAE SUNGCHUL [ M / WOOLLIM ] : (jokingly) So you're confident enough to sit in one of those debut chairs?

AMARA LEE-KIM [ F / WOOLLIM ] : Of course.

CAIRO HWANG [ M / WOOLLIM ] : Well, I'm gonna go up, and see what it's like up there. You guys wanna join me?

KEVIN KANG [ M / WOOLLIM ] : It looks like a certain someone's already up there.

THE WOOLLIM TRAINEES LOOK UP AT THE DEBUT SEATS TO SEE AMARA SITTING PROUDLY AT THE FIRST PLACE SEAT !

BAE SUNGCHUL [ M / WOOLLIM ] : That was fast.

CAIRO HWANG [ M / WOOLLIM ] : The first place seat too. That's pretty bold.

KEVIN KANG [ M / WOOLLIM ] : (calls out to Amara, and runs up to join her) Hey! Next time wait for me!

ISAAC BAE [ M / WOOLLIM ] : Are any of you going to stay down here?

JO HWAYOUNG [ F / WOOLLIM ] : I think we're all confident enough to take a seat up there, right everyone?

AMARA LEE-KIM [ F / WOOLLIM ] : (yells from above) ASSERT DOMINANCE !!

CAIRO HWANG [ M / WOOLLIM ] : I think that's our call.

THE WOOLLIM TRAINEES CHEER AND MAKE THEIR WAY TO THE 9 DEBUT SEATS, ALL OF THEM SITTING DOWN IN ONE.

ISAAC BAE [ M / WOOLLIM ] : So, how are we feeling?

BUT BEFORE ANYONE CAN SAY ANYTHING, THE SUDDEN ATTITUDE CHANGE OF ONE OF THEIR FELLOW TEAMMATES CATCHES THE EYES OF THE WOOLLIM TRAINEES !

JO HWAYOUNG [ F / WOOLLIM ] : There's so many cameras up here. Do you think the lights up here make my face look weird? My eye is itchy, does it look red?? What if the camera records me making a weird face-

ISAAC BAE [ M / WOOLLIM ] : What happened to your confidence, noona? Don't stress out so easily, if you feel uncomfortable, I can join you at the lower seats so you aren't alone.

JO HWAYOUNG [ F / WOOLLIM ] : No no, it's fine. I can go by myself.

CAIRO HWANG [ M / WOOLLIM ] : (pats her arm) There's nothing to worry about. You look fine. And besides, talent is the most important here, right?

THE PRESSURE OF THE DEBUT SEATS IS GREATER THAN THE TRAINEES EXPECTED.

STAFF : Is everything alright Hwayoung? Do you know what happened up there?

JO HWAYOUNG [ F / WOOLLIM ] : My confidence shriveled up once I saw all those cameras. I've always felt self conscious about myself, and i've been trying to let it not get the best of me, and be confident for my labelmates to set a good example. I guess that didn't really work out, huh? (awkwardly chuckles)

AMARA LEE-KIM [ F / WOOLLIM ] : Don't leave unnie!! We aren't the same without you!!

JO HWAYOUNG [ F / WOOLLIM ] : (looks between the debut chairs and the normal ones below) I..

WHAT CHOICE WILL SHE MAKE ?

HER DECISION COULD POTENTIALLY AFFECT HER IMAGE AND HER LABELMATES' IMAGE .

JO HWAYOUNG [ F / WOOLLIM ] : ...I'm going to go back to the normal seats. I don't think I'm ready for the stress of the seats yet.

STAFF : Were you worried about abandoning your team when you went down to the normal seats?

JO HWAYOUNG [ F / WOOLLIM ] : What? (hesitantly) Of course not..? I have faith in my labelmates, and I know that they're extremely talented and hardworking, with or without me. The same goes for me as well, with or without them, I'm perfectly capable of being independent.

CAIRO HWANG [ M / WOOLLIM ] : Oh, two of them are siblings! I didn't know that siblings were allowed to apply.

AMARA LEE-KIM [ F / WOOLLIM ] : Why? They're just siblings, they're no different than the rest of us here. I'll bet there'll be more coming, too.

CUBE TRAINEES : We may be from Cube, but that doesn't mean our talents come in only one shape and form! Hi, we are the trainees from Cube Entertainment!

THE CUBE TRAINEES ARE SURPRISED TO SEE MORE THAN HALF THE DEBUT SEATS ALREADY TAKEN !

CHOI HAEWON [ F / CUBE ] : The debut seats have been taken already? We're only the second group that's arrived, they must be really confident !

KANG SUNWOO [ M / CUBE ] : That just means we have to be more confident. Let's go to the debut seats, we might as well take them before they're completely gone.

ANNABELLE PARK [ F / CUBE ] : There's only three seats left, meaning only three of us can take the remaining seats.. Or maybe we could just leave the spots empty to give the other companies a chance, yeah?

THE CUBE TRAINEES LOOK TOWARDS THE DEBUT SEATS, WHERE THE WOOLLIM TRAINEES ARE WAVING AT THEM !

YOON HANSOL [ M / CUBE ] : They seem nice, maybe they'll give us one of their seats.

CHOI HAEWON [ F / CUBE ] : You think they'll want to? If all of them are sitting up there, I think they mean business.

ANNABELLE PARK [ F / CUBE ] : Let's go for the empty spots for now. Is there anyone who feels like they wanna sit up there?

THE CUBE TRAINEES LOOK AROUND AT EACH OTHER, SHRUGGING.

LEO PARK [ M / CUBE ] : I'll go. Someone has to defend our glorious kingdom of Cube's honour, and who's gonna do it better than me?

KANG SUNWOO [ M / CUBE ] : Riiight. Anyone else?

ANNABELLE PARK [ F / CUBE ] : (shakes head) I guess we're all thinking the same thing. Except Leo.

THE REMAINING CUBE TRAINEES TAKE THEIR PLACES IN THE NORMAL TRAINEE SEATS AND WATCH THEIR TEAMMATE WALK UP THE STAIRS TO THE DEBUT SEATS.

LEO PARK [ M / CUBE ] : (tips imaginary hat) G'day.

THE WOOLLIM TRAINEES WAVE BACK, NOT QUITE SURE WHAT TO SAY, SURPRISED BY HOW RELAXED THE CUBE TRAINEE IS.

BAE SUNGCHUL [ M / WOOLLIM ] : I know I definitely would be if I was the only one out of my company going against the almost entire group of another.

AMARA LEE-KIM [ F / WOOLLIM ] : Yet scary.

LEO PARK [ M / CUBE ] : You guys are pretty confident, with all of you sitting in the debut chairs.

AMARA LEE-KIM [ F / WOOLLIM ] : We could say the same. Although, coming up here alone against almost a whole entire trainee group must take more confidence.

LEO PARK [ M / CUBE ] : (shrugs) Yeah, I guess so.

THE WOOLLIM TRAINEES LOOK AT EACH OTHER, AND BACK AT THE LONE CUBE TRAINEE.

ISAAC BAE [ M / WOOLLIM ] : (sticks out hand to shake) Well, good luck.

LEO PARK [ M / CUBE ] : (high fives it awkwardly) Good luck to you guys too.

SHIN HANEUL [ F / BIGHIT ] : That's a great idea!! I can be with Jaein unnie, since we've practiced songs together before.

SUDDENLY, THE WORDS " TRAINEE VOTE " APPEAR ON THE SCREEN...

WHAT COULD THIS MEAN?

A DISTORTED VOICE IS HEARD THROUGH THE SPEAKERS OF THE STUDIO.

WHO COULD THIS BE?

?? : For the first episode, you will be voting for who you think deserves the spots. But instead of only the Bighit trainees fighting for the spot, all of the current companies seated here will be competing for a spot in these debut chairs. Each trainee seated on a debut chair will get a total of 5,000 points added to their score.

BUT, THERE'S A CATCH .

?? : However, not every trainee from every single company can get a spot on these debut chairs. The companies that score the most points will have to pick 3 trainees to go up, and to receive the 15,000 points. With 3 trainees from each company, that means that all of you will be able to secure a spot on these seats, right? Wrong. 4 other companies will also be participating for these seats, but will be ranked separately, so everyone, work hard, especially if you want those points.

?? : Trainees, this is your first mission. Amongst yourselves, discuss the song you will be performing, and your positions (center, main vocalist, etc). (Your decisions will influence your trainees' stage performances, and behaviour, so choose wisely!)

ENDING NOTE !

First, I'd really like to apologize for publishing this chapter so late nhshshs, I ended up rewriting it like 4 times, so I'm really sorry about that! And second, I really hope you guys liked the first part of episode one! I tried my best to get the trainees' personalities as accurate as I could, but if you would like me to change the way your trainee(s) act for future chapters, please dm me! (This is my first time writing something like this, so it's not going to be very good njsnjsns) I also hope that you guys don't mind a mission on the first episode as well, I wanted a proper use for the debut chairs, to maybe make Cloud 19 a bit more unique jsjsjs

A couple notes about the mission:

-This mission is for Woollim, Cube, and Bighit trainees only. The remaining companies (SM, YG, Starship and PlayM) will get the same mission shortly after.

-Despite this mission only being for the 3 companies mentioned above, all the companies participating in Cloud19 are able to vote! (Trainees only, not viewers)

-The mission chapter will be posted sometime after this (with additional information), so please read that first before discussing with your labelmates!
