Loving you is a losing game.

Justin's P.O.V

I think we're like the wind and sea
You're burnin' up, I'm coolin' down
You're up, I'm down
You're blind, I see

The song was blasting through the speakers as I continued to drive along the road. The road was covered with dept of woods surrounding it. In the quiet night sky, the bright moon was completely out. The stars of the sky seemed to be playing with each other. The moonlight was illuminating on the clear road. There were a few cars driving with ours around this hour. I could count them all on my fingers of one hand easily. It was quite and beautiful. But not as beautiful as the girl sitting beside me on the passanger seat. I turned my head to look at the beauty who was staring out of the window.

Her long hair was blowing with the wind, a content smile playing on her lips.

But I'm free, ooh-ooh
I'm free

I found myself staring at her. This part of the song seemed to be fitting perfectly with the sight in front of me. But there was just one thing bothering me. "Can you stop sticking your head out of the window before you hurt yourself?" I spoke up, suddenly worried for her safety. She turned to me with a small grin, "Justin there is literally nobody driving at this hour except for us. Don't worry, I will be okay." She pointed out. "I am just being cautious." I shrugged.

I'm worried for you. I thought to myself.

"Relax, I'm fine. So are you." She gave me a convincing smile and that was enough to relax my tense muscles. "Fine. Just don't stick your head out like that. Please." I requested. "Okay, I won't." She leaned in and kissed my right cheek before getting comfortable in her seat.

I tried to compose myself and ignore the tingling sensation spread around in my stomach. Why does she has to have this kind of effect on me? I'm such a pussy for feeling this way.

Well, my boyfriend's in a band
He plays guitar while I sing Lou Reed
I've got feathers in my hair
I get down to Beat poetry
And my jazz collection's rare
I can play most anything
I'm a Brooklyn baby

"I'm a Brooklyn baby." She sang while grinning at me. I chuckled in return. "So, what do you think about your stay at my apartment?" I questioned. "It was good. I had fun. It's been a while since I stayed over but everything was perfectly in its place." She answered. "Of course, I clean it myself." I smirked cockily. "Every single day." My smirk widened.

"Justin, don't try to get too cocky with me now." She scoffed playfully. "I am not being cocky, I am just telling the truth." I put an effort to defend myself. Still I couldn't control a smirk from taking over my face.

I wasn't lying when I said that I clean my house every single day. I have always loved cleaning my place on my own. It relaxes me and that was something I enjoyed.

"That smirk of yours tells me otherwise." She poked my cheek, a little too harshly. I knew it was an accident but of course I couldn't take it well. "Hey, that was not nice." I lifted my right hand to touch the place she had just poked. "You better apologize young lady." I demanded. I wasn't being too serious. Okay, who was I kidding? I definitely was being too serious. I didn't want to but I couldn't help myself. "No, I'm not apologizing to you." She chuckled and shook her head. "Apologize now!" I commanded her sternly. "Justin I'm not-"

"-Apologize." I said sternly.

"Fine," She huffed. "I'm sorry." She mumbled quietly. "Wasn't so hard now, was it?" I smiled. She refrained herself from rolling her eyes at me and turned her head away to look out of the window.

I looked at her one last time before turning my head to pay attention at the road. I turned off the radio when the song ended and continued to drive along the empty road in complete silence. Naturally, the silence between us has always been peaceful. But this one was turning awkward. After what felt like forever, I could not handle the quietness any long. I sighed to myself. I looked over at her only to find her in the exact same position.

Such a stubborn girl she is. I thought.

"Hey." I tapped on her thigh. She ignored me making me sigh again. I tapped on her thigh again, only for her to push my hand away this time. "This is very immature, at least talk to me." I huffed. Yet again, I was ignored.

I rolled my eyes and started thinking of a way to gain her attention back. I bit my bottom lip as an idea came to me. Should I do it? What if I end up embarrassing myself? I don't know whether I will be regretting this later or not but this was definitely going to grab her attention.

Fuck it, I'm going to do it anyway. I said inwardly.

"They say I'm too young to love you, I don't know what I need, they think I don't understand, the freedom land of the seventies." I started singing the lyrics to the song which was playing not even ten minutes ago. Her head turned towards me almost instantly and she let out a gasp. I'm grateful she didn't end up giving herself a whiplash. "Did you just sing?" She was amused.

"So now she wants to talk." I chuckled looking back at the road. "Justin, you just sang." She giggled a little. Does that mean she likes it? I thought.

"Oh my gosh, yoh just sang!" She exclaimed. "Why is that so amusing?" I chuckled again. "You never sing." She stated putting emphasis on the word 'never'. "This is not true. I do sing, just not in front of you." I smirked. "You fuc-freaking idiot," She corrected herself in time when she saw me raising an eyebrow at her, daring her to cuss in front of me. It would only lead us into an another silly argument.

"Why not?" She asked. "I am always the one who is singing and dancing around and I try everything just so you can join me." She said, putting her hand on her chest as she said the word 'me'. Before I could even answer her, she beat me into it. "Why didn't you tell me you could sing so beautifully. Oh my God, that was so beautiful." She praised. "Thank you." A wave of relief rushed to me and I found myself smiling at her.

Thank God, she liked it.

"Now you have to promise to sing to me." She smiled excitedly. "Aye? Not going to happen." I faked a smile. Her own smile dropped at this. "Justin please. I am your best friend! It's not like I'm asking you to chop off your balls." She groaned. "From where did my balls come into this conversation." I said, a little bit shocked from her choice of words. "You don't have to chop off-I never told you to-I didn't mean to bring it up. Just-ugh," She suddenly became shy. It took everything in me to not kiss her then and there.

"-Please promise me." She begged. She pouted her lips and gave me puppy dog eyes instantly melting my heart. She knew what she was doing. "Okay fine, I will sing to you." I sighed and she smiled in victory. "Hell yeah!"

I chuckled before pulling the car on the side. There was one more thing I needed to do. I chose to do it. "Wait, why did you stop?" She asked confused. "I want to apologize for the way I demanded you to apologize to me a while ago. I know it was an accident. I shouldn't have had been so demanding. I am sorry." I apologized. "Jay, you call me your best friend for a reason. I know you couldn't help yourself. You don't have to apologize to me for it." She squeezed my hand.

"I don't want us to have any more silly arguments." I said truthfully. It was true, we always get ourselves into silly arguments. We even have arguments over putting the shoe down the wrong way. Sometimes it doesn't even make sense.

"One of us always says that and then we find ourselves arguing ten minutes later." She laughed. "That's true." I couldn't help but laugh too. "Well, apology accepted. Now let's go or we'll be late, Bieber." She smirked playfully. "Not in my watch." I smirked back before starting up the engine and driving away.

In no time, I managed to cover up the distance I should have had covered by now if I haven't stopped the car. The drive was now filled with a peaceful silence. The music was softly playing in the background with her singing to herself.

"Do you want hear a joke?" I spoke up all of the sudden. "No."

"Why not?" I gasped as I found myself getting offended. "Because it is going to be one of your silly sex jokes. I just want to get over them. I don't want to hear no more." She smirked softly. "How dare you? It was not going to be a sex joke!" I gasped again. "Really?" She chuckled as if she didn't believe me. "Alright then, tell me this joke of yours." She turned to me, giving me all of her attention.

"How do you make a pool table laugh?" I smirked. "How?" She frowned her eyebrows in confusion. "Tickle its balls." I burst out into laughter when I saw her mouth hanging open, "What-ew-what the hell?!"

"Wha-ew. Justin why? How do you expect me to play pool tomorrow after hearing this?!" She whined.

I shrugged and continued to laugh to myself. Her reaction was priceless. I could feel her glares at me and I turned to her still laughing. Soon enough, her frown broke out in a smile and she started laughing along. "You're so stupid." She laughed. I shook my head at her, still laughing.

She turned her head a little to look at the road. Her eyes widening immediately, her mouth fell ajar.

"JUSTIN WATCH OUT!"

I turned my head towards the road immediately, my eyes widening. A car was coming right at us in full speed. Before I could even have the time to do something, the car hit us. Hard.

As the result, our car got flipped over. The windshield glass immediately shattered while the pedestrian airbags got activated and deployed. A loud sound of thud echoed through the woods. The sound of tyres screeching was loud and clear for few seconds until it faded into thin air.

I squeezed my eyes shut as it all happened. Pieces of glass cut into my skin but I didn't care. All I could think of about was her. All I could think of about her safety.

My body was upside down and still fastened against the seatbelt. My head started pounding making me hiss in pain. I slowly opened my eyes and turned my head to the side. I found her hair covering over her face, blood slowly dripping down her hand.

I lifted my hand with whatever energy I had left in me and shook her slowly, "Hey."

No answer.

Panic started consuming me slowly. "Hey, wake up!" I shook her again. This time I could hear slow breathing from her. That was enough to give me enough strength to help both of us out of the car. I unfastened my seatbelt, groaning in pain as I somehow managed to crawl out of the car.

I exhaled sharply and stood up on my feet. I took a look over my almost completely destroyed car. The damage was bad. Really bad. Almost worse. I lifted my shaky left hand to take a piece of glass out of my right upper arm. A yelp left my mouth as I pulled it out and threw it away. I then, started pulling out the pieces of glass stuck in my left thigh, the corner of my stomach and my left shoulder. Groaning in pain everytime I do so.

I inhaled heavily after I was done. My whole body was bleeding but I couldn't care less. I limped my way over towards the passenger side of the car and got down on my knees. I unfastened her seatbelt before slowly pulling her out. I sat myself down on the side of the road with her in my arms.

"Hey, look at me." I cupped her cheek with my bloody hand. She had a huge piece of glass stuck into the side of stomach, a little cut on the side of her forehead. Her eyes were half opened.

"I am going to take the glass out, okay?" I said softly and she looked at me with pain in her eyes. She weakly nodded her head in response. I quickly pulled the sharp piece out of her making her weakly scream in pain. I threw the sharp piece away before cupping her cheek again. "I am so sorry. I had to." I apologized. She slowly opened her mouth to respond but her eyelids started to fall shut.

"No, look at me. Don't let your eyes close. Look at me."

She was fighting to keep her eyes open. Her breathing was slow, getting more slower as every second passed by. She slowly touched my hand which was cupping her cheek. "Justin." She choked out softly. "No, don't talk. Save your breath." I told her making her slowly shake her head at me.

"I am s-sorry." She whispered softly before closing her eyes. Her hand slipped down from my own and went limp. My heart started stampeding. "Hey." I whispered. A tear rolled down my left cheek.

"Hey. Hey!"

"Look at me." I demanded, shaking her again.

"Breathe." A soft sob left my throat. "Hey." I whispered, my hand reaching down to caress the side of her neck.

"You're okay." I touched the side of her head, feeling the wetness of her hot blood on my palm, before letting my hand rest back on her cheek. "You're okay." I whispered, touching her soft hair. She must have had passed out from the loss of blood. Yes, that has to be it.

My head was starting to throb like it was being pounded by a jackhammer. My sobs got louder while my hands started shaking.

"Stay with me. You hear me? Stay with me. I will get us out of here, I promise." I started crying frantically. "Please stay with me. Stay with me. You stay with me." I begged caressing her face with my shaky hands.

As much as I wanted to question and deny everything that was happening right in front of my eyes, I knew it was true. I could sense it and there was no way to explain the feelings that was coursing through my body, but I suddenly felt like I wasn't even really here anymore.

I wanted to deny it but a deep part of me knew it was true.

It was too late.

She was gone.

"N-noo please!" My voice cracked. "Please! Please!" I sobbed.

The earth felt like it had been shattered under my feet and I suddenly forgot how to breathe. I let the sobs consume me fully.

I hugged her body closer to mine, nuzzling my face in the crook of her neck. Her blood was getting all over me but I couldn't care less.

"Please!" I sobbed.

"I can't do this without you. I love you." The three words left my mouth for the first time but she wasn't here to hear them. She wasn't here to say them back. I held her limp body tightly against my own as I continued to sob.

That night, the sky cried with me too.

I GASPED FOR AIR and quickly sat up on my bed. My body was shaking and covered in sweat while my throat had went dry. I wiped my face with my shaky hand, trying to regulate my breathing and calm myself down from the nightmare I just had.

I looked over at my nightstand before leaning towards it. I pulled out my medication kit from inside it. I popped two anxiety pills into my mouth before gulping down the whole bottle of water which was kept on my nightstand.

Putting the kit back in its place, I jumped out of the bed, making my way to the bathroom. I looked over at my reflection in the mirror. My face was pale while sweat covered all over my face and bare chest and was dripping down. The horrified image of blood dripping down from her hand filled into my brain. I quickly turned on the tap, splashing water on my face repeatedly and harshly. I grabbed onto the counter tightly, letting out a gasp. My hands started turning white from the pressure I was putting on them. I squeezed my eyes shut trying to get rid of the image of her limp and bloody body into my arms from my brain.

A tear rolled down my left cheek making me splash water on my face angrily. I grabbed one face towel from the side before wiping my face. I let out a loud and huge sigh before putting the piece of cloth back at its place.

I decided to grab a drink for myself since I won't be able to go back to sleep now. It won't go well with my medication but I couldn't care less.

I needed a drink for myself.

"Hey bro, are you okay? You are being very quiet today." Zayn asked making me look at him. I was currently in my cabin with my brother. We were going through some files but I wasn't quite paying attention to them the entire time. I just couldn't. All I could think of about was her.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine." I nodded my head, giving him a convincing look. "I am fine." I whispered.

"Justin, we're your brothers. If you think we don't know when you're lying to us then you're so very wrong." Andrew spoke up. He had a look of worry in his eyes. "I am not lying." I said nonchalantly.

"Andrew just said no lying." Sloan uttered. "I am not fucking lying!" I spat. They sighed. "Jay, you're clearly hurting right now. You don't let others see through you. But us? We're your brothers, your family. You will always have us. You don't have to pretend to be strong in front us when you're clearly feeling vulnerable." Zayn said softly.

My face softened and I looked down at my hands. I opened my mouth to speak up only to feel my throat going dry. "I saw-I saw h-her again." I stammered. "Nightmares again?" Sloan said and I slowly nodded my head.

"I don't know what to do. I have this nightmare over and over again. As if it's mocking me that I couldn't protect her like I promised I would. She-she got put into that position because of me." My hands started shaking making me clench them into fists. It was all because of me. She could've been with me here, into my arms right now. But I ruined it all.

"I've already lived that horrible moment once but my nightmares just keep making me go through it over and over and over again. Every time the scenario is different but in the end, I always end up losing her. And it just ends up getting more worse every single time." I sniffled, wiping away my tears harshly.

"Jay, you did everything you could." Andrew's soft and comforting voice filled into my ears as he squeezed my shoulder. "But it wasn't fucking enough." I almost yelled. "It wasn't enough." I almost whispered.

"All because of me."

I've been on my own for long enough
Maybe you can show me how to love.

Charlotte's P.O.V

"Oh mio Dio gentile, cosa farò?" The words left my mouth as I kept shuffling through my closet.

Oh my goodness gracious, what am I going to do?

I was trying to find a nice and perfect dress to wear but none of my clothes seemed to match with what I was looking for. I almost cried and ran my fingers through my hair in frustration. I just hope I don't end up riping it from my head.

"The queen has arri-hey what's wrong?" Elle's tone changed from cheerful to confused.

"Torno dal college sperando di non fare nulla e rilassarmi nel mio letto tutto il giorno, ma la fortuna non sembra mai essere dalla mia parte." I cussed in Italian. "Ma cosa è successo?" Elle asked again.

"I come back from college hoping to do nothing and relax in my bed all day long but luck never fucking seems to be on my side."

"But what happened?"

"Ugh." I groaned and sat down on the white coloured sofa I had in my closet. "When I came back from college, Mama told me that Justin has invited me to spend a day in his yatch." I explained. I had to attend two early lectures today. Usually whenever I have to attend early lectures, I try to relax and sleep a little after coming back home. Today was clearly not one of those days.

"I do know about that. He has invited me too," She grinned. A small smile took over my face. At least, I won't have to feel awkward alone. "But why are you so stressed over it?" She questioned and jumped up on the counter to sit on it. "The problem is that, his brothers and their wives are going to be there as well. I can't just get dressed in anything and go. What if I make the wrong impression?" I was starting to get anxious. Marrying Justin meant having his family around. I didn't want them to get any wrong idea of me. How was I going to survive in the family if they start hating on me?

"Oh no, what if they hate me?" I gasped, my hands covering over my mouth. "Girl chill, nobody hates you," She rolled her eyes playfully. "You are unable to find an outfit, that's it right?" She said with me nodding my head in agreement. She gave me a look.

"Miss, you are forgetting that you have Regina degli outfit as your best friend." She smirked. I chuckled at her. "Don't worry, I will solve your little problem like this." She snapped her fingers and jumped back into her feet. She immediately started shuffling through the clothes. I started playing with my pendant while biting my lips and staring at her the entire time. It hardly even took her five minutes before she pulled out a cute and perfect dress for me to wear, "Ah ha, found it!"

"I've already looked through that section at least five times. Why couldn't I see it?" I huffed and stood up from my seat. "Because my darling," Her voice coming sassy as ever.

"Solo un gioielliere conosce il vero dosaggio di un diamante."

"Only a jeweller knows the true assay of a Diamond."

"Well, thank you my jeweller." I giggled and kissed her on the cheek. "Yeah, yeah. Now get dressed." She handed over the dress to me. "I hope you have showered because we don't want you stinking in front of your husband and in-laws." She joked while making a fake disgusting face as she started to walk out of the closet.

"I don't stink!" I yelled out after her. "And he's not my husband."

"Yet." She yelled back. I rolled my eyes and huffed. She is never going to change. I thought. A small giggle left my mouth at the thought of my silly best friend.

I looked over at the clock. I had an hour left with me. I started unbuttoning my blouse and pulled it off my arms. I did the same with my pants. It took me around five to ten minutes until I was all dressed up. I was wearing a asymmetric printed silk crepe draped midi dress paired with Manila Stuart Weitzman loafers. I decided against wearing any kind of jewellery other than my pendant which I never take off. I brushed my head, letting it fall freely and gave a smile at my appearance.

I would say, I was looking good. I grinned softly before grabbing my bag and packing two swimsuit in it, one for Elle and another one for myself. I grabbed my phone, a handkerchief and other necessities before waking downstairs.

"La mia bambina sembra così carina." Papa immediately smiled at my appearance. "Grazie papà." I kissed him on the cheek. Elle was already sitting beside Mama on the couch, eating some strawberries. Whereas Sarah was watching some show on the television.

"My little girl is looking so pretty."

"Thank you Papà"

"Have you grabbed everything?" Mama asked as I grabbed a strawberry for myself and sat down too. I nodded and took a bite of it. "Are you sure?" She couldn't help but ask again. Mothers. "Yes Mama." I smiled and kissed her on the cheek. "The car is here to pick you up." Papà announced, looking out of the window.

"That's our cue." Elle stook up, not before stealing another strawberry from the bowl. I did the same and was about to stand up when Papà stopped me. "If something goes wrong or you need help, you call me, okay?" He said a little sternly. "Simon." Mama sighed and looked at him.

He ignored her glares and kept looking at me, almost impatiently. "Yes Papà, I will call you." I squeezed his hand before standing up. "I don't understand why I can't go." Sarah teared her eyes away from the television screen to look at me.

"Because you're too little." I coo'ed while ruffling her hair, messing it up. She slapped her hand away and rolled her eyes at me. "I'm seventeen."

"See you, kiddo." I bid my farewell before linking arms with Elle and walking towards the door.

"Bye, Mama. Bye, Papà." I yelled behind.

"Divertiti!" They yelled back.

"Have fun!"

The car ride was definitely not too short but it wasn't too long either. Elle and I managed to keep ourselves occupied into talks the whole time. It wasn't boring nor it was awkward.

But as we were starting to arrive at our destination, my hands started to get sweaty. I wiped my right hand against the material of car seat while biting down on my bottom lip. Elle must have noticed my nervousness because she gave me a tight side hug and a beautiful smile.

The next thing I remember was the car door being opened by Benjamin. He was the same guy who drove me and Justin to the restaurant that night. "Thank you, Benjamin." I thanked him as I got out. He smiled and nodded his head. Elle got out behind me with Benjamin shutting the car door and then driving the car away.

I grabbed Elle's hand, looking at a beautiful yatch standing tall in front of me. I looked at Elle who was very intrigued by the view in front of her. So was I. "Your hubby is rich as fuck." She stated as we started walking towards it. Fascination clearly evident in her voice. "He's not my hubby." I whispered to her. "Yet." She smirked at me.

I wanted to roll my eyes at her and I would have had if a voice hasn't cut in. "Hello ladies." There Zayn stood, in his swimming trunks and unbuttoned baby pink t-shirt. "Hey Zayn." We both smiled at him. "About time. Here, let me help you up." He offered. We accepted it and he helped us in.

"Everybody is at the front. Why don't you go and say hi? I have to tell the captain to start up the boat." He clasped his hands together. I nodded before Elle started dragging me with her to the front with Zayn chuckling in the background at her eagerness.

"Oh my God, hey!" Maya gasped as she was the first to notice us. She came running and hugged us both. We hugged her back and smiled. Next was Bella who seemed to be over the moon to meet us. "I'm so glad you came!" She smiled cutely. I grinned at her.

"Hey Char, hey Elle." Sloan greeted both of us with a hug too. "Hey Sloan."

"Where is Alea?" I asked when I didn't find her around. In fact, I couldn't even find Andrew anywhere too. "They couldn't come. They had to attend some important work." Maya explained. "Oh." I said while nodding. Bella scoffed at this, "There is no work. I bet they are busy fucking each other." I sucked on my lips, trying not to laugh.

"So, how is the lil baby?" I grinned. "The baby is chilling. He/she has been kicking a lot today." Bella smiled while rubbing her belly. I remember her telling me that she wanted the gender to be a surprise. "Really?" Excitement took over me as I looked down at her belly. "Do you want to feel?" She asked while smiling. I nodded my head eagerly. "Here feel," She grabbed my hand and put it on her stomach. "You feel too Elle." She tnen grabbed Elle's hand and did the same.

A gasp left my mouth when I felt little kicks against the palm of my hand. "Oh my God." I giggled in amazement and pulled my hand away. "Seems like you got a big soccer player in there." Elle grinned making the girls giggle and nod.

"Sloan, I've brought you some beer." A familiar voice filled into my ears. I couldn't help but turn my head towards the direction from where the voice came. Justin seemed to stop when he saw me, his mouth opening a little. He was wearing a pair of black coloured swimming trunks and a white coloured half-sleeves shirt which was unbuttoned. I tried to give him a small smile but it got wiped away when I saw him handing a beer bottle to Sloan, acting like I was never here. I frowned, my eyes following him.

He was ignoring me.

Did I do something wrong? I couldn't help but question myself. Was he still mad at me for asking for a seperate bedroom for myself?

But how could he expect me to share a room with him when I didn't even know him enough to share a roof with him. All I was asking for was some personal space. But then I remembered that we did resolve this problem that night itself.

"Let's go!" Before I could even go to talk to him, Bella pulled me to sit with her. "I can't drink wine but how about you drink some for me?" She offered me a glass of white wine. My eyes widened a little. "Don't worry, nobody knows. A glass won't hurt anybody." She smirked. A small chuckle left my mouth as I grabbed the glass. "Thank you." I thanked her and took a sip. The yatch was all alive and moving by now. The girls and I started making small talks, laughing and spending some quality time together. But there was still the thought of Justin at the back of my head.

What was wrong with him?

"Is something wrong with Justin?" I asked in low voice. Bella looked at me before looking at Justin and then looking back at me. "Who knows what goes into his head." She shrugged. Meanwhile, it looked as if Maya knew something. She had a small sympathetic smile on her face which she immediately covered up when she saw me staring at her.

"Would you like to go for a swim?" Maya asked, changing the topic. I nodded my head in agreement. "Sure! We'll just go and change into our swimsuits." Elle agreed before standing up. Bella gave us the direction to one of the rooms where we could change. We thanked her before making our ways towards the room.

I pulled out the swimsuits from my bag, handing my best friend hers. She got into the bathroom and was the first one to change. "Wow, don't you look amazing." I complemented her as she walked out. She was wearing a brown coloured two piece. "Thank you gorgeous." She grinned and flipped her hair, giving a little pose. "Perfection." I complemented making her giggle.

I was the next and the last one to change into my swimsuit. I was wearing a ebony black high halter monokini with criss cross cutout around the waist.

I ran my fingers through my hair and fixed my swimsuit before walking out. Elle whistled as I did so. "Look at you, girl. Did I leave the over on or is it just you hot stuff?" She winked. I had to laugh at that. I lightly slapped her arm before walking outside with her.

"You both look amazing!" Bella and Maya said in unison. "Thank you so much. You guys look beautiful too." I smiled. They thanked us.

"Let's get into the water already." Maya said excitedly and eagerly. I laughed at her eagerness and nodded my head. "Be careful, babe!" Sloan said loudly to Maya as we were getting ready to get into the water. Maya blew him a kiss before jumping in. Elle went in next but instead of jumping, she slowly got in making me chuckle. I was the last one to get in since Bella refused to go and said that she'll watch us instead. Zayn was sitting beside her as they watched us. I took a couple of steps back before jumping into the water. The girls gasped loudly when they ended up getting splashed by me.

Before I could even apologize, salty water was splashed at my face. Now it was my time to gasp. "Elle!" I scolded only to get splashed again, this time by Maya. They both giggled among themselves. Even Bella, Zayn and Sloan started laughing as well. And before we even knew it, a water fight has begun between the three of us.

I laughed loudly trying to prevent my face from getting splashed as I continued to splash water back at the girls. As we were playing around and laughing, I felt a pair of eyes on me. I think I knew who it was. Scratch that, I definitely knew who it was. I turned my head only to find Justin staring at me. My laughter slowly died down as I continued to stare back at him. But as soon as our eyes met, he pulled his gaze away, turning his face to the other side. I sighed to myself and decided to let it slide for a while. I'll ask him later.

But why would he tell me? Does he trust me enough to tell me what was bothering him?

There was only one way to find the answers to these questions of mine.

We spent another fifteen minutes in the water, just swimming around with the men keeping an close eye on us.

I wrapped a towel around my body as soon as I got back on the yatch. "Let's go to the other side." Zayn suggested. Everybody agreed with him except for Justin. Zayn helped Bella up while the rest followed them to the other side. "Let's go." Elle whispered to me. "I'll be there in few." I gave her a small smile. She nodded her head before walking away with the rest. I turned and found Justin looking at the ocean. His back was facing me. I decided to make my way over to him.

"Hey." I said softly. He turned his head to look at me. "Hey." He said lowly. "Is something wrong?" I asked making him frown his eyebrows. "You are very quiet today. You didn't even greet me." I continued. "No, I am fine." He said softly. "You don't look fine to me." I turned my head to look at the magnificent sight of ocean in front of me. It spread to a great distance, wherever I turned my head, my gaze would fall upon the blue water.

"What do you mean?" He asked confused. "Why were you ignoring me? Are you still mad at me over my third demand?" I couldn't help but these questions. "I thought we've resolved it that night itself." He dodged my first question. I wanted to ask the first question again but I decided against it. "Then? Having a bad day?" My soft voice filled into the air. His eyes never left mine as he slowly nodded his head. "It's okay. I have bad days too." I shrugged and gave him a small smile.

"Not everything about life is good and not everything about life is bad. But it does always get better." I said. He chuckled, "Of course." Something in me told me that he was being sarcastic. What are you thinking of, Justin? I thought to myself.

"You can still make your day better though." I said. "How?" He raised an eyebrow. "There are a lot of things you can do to make your day better." I shrugged. "Really? Like what?" He asked while raising an eyebrow at me. "Hmm, how about you show me your yatch?" I suggested giving him a small smile. "I bet you'd like showing off all that money of yours." I licked my lips and he smirked, "I work very hard for it."

"Of course you do. So, do you mind showing me around or should I go alone? And knowing me, I will probably end up getting lost and calling my father. I'll tell him how you left me alone and then he will very mad at you." I joked as I tried to act all innocent. "Yeah sounds like a great plan to me. Maybe he'll even call off the wedding." I clicked my tongue, ready to walk away only to be pulled back into a hard chest.

I looked at Justin as he wrapped one of his arm around my waist. His hand rose up to cup my cheek. I couldn't help but notice his hand shaking a little as if he was hesitant to actually touch my cheek. He squeezed his eyes shut for few seconds. This looked like a battle in itself. Justin's inner battle.

I was waiting patiently to see whether he would actually do it or not. After few seconds, he finally cupped my cheek, caressing the skin softly with his thumb. A small smile took over his lips and I couldn't help but smile for a second too. He slowly opened his eyes, his gaze meeting my own.

"You're not going anywhere." He said. "Why so?" I raised an eyebrow. "Because you are going to watch the sunset with me." He grinned. I turned my head slowly only to find out that it was almost the time for the sunset.

"Like this?" I said referring to his arm wrapped around my waist tightly. He hummed while smiling. "I don't know if I like this, Mr. Bieber." I smirked back. "But you better get used to this, Mrs. Bieber." He smirked back.

I chuckled and shook my head, turning my head to look at the ocean. The next thing I knew was Justin freeing me from his arms. I was glad to see that he was giving me some personal space. I looked at him again, giving him a small smile.

He smiled back. I let my hands rest on the railing as Justin and I watched the sunset. If I was being honest, then I don't even know if I was even paying any attention to the sunset. Justin and I were talking and laughing with each other the entire time.

I didn't know Justin could be this laid back. He wasn't like the type of person I thought he was. Every person who has ever talked about him has represented him as some angry, abusive, stiff, insensitive and cruel mafia. They called him a monster. They feared him. But after talking with him today, I realised he was none of those things. At least, he was none of those things with me. In fact, he was just like any other normal guy. He was funny, smart, smiley and amazing. I don't think I've ever laughed so much with somebody else like the way I've laughed with him.
He was... exceptional.

To say that I have slowly started to look forward for this marriage would be an understatement.

---------------------------------------------------------

About time I updated this book lmao. Ugh it's been so long!

So, who do you think is she? What do you think about Justin and his nightmare?

Ngl but I cried while writing that part *smiling through pain*

And Jarlotte has started to make some progress but is it going to last long?

Now I want to announce two important things. It's the same as I announced on my book "My Everything" since not everybody reads all of my books and I don't want you to be left out so here we go! Please go through them for me lol

I want to mention two important things related to my account/books

1. I have an Instagram account with the same username (@bieberstinvibes) where I'll be posting edits, aesthetics, outfits, sneak peak, lil spoilers and things related to my books. I've already posted some edits and have highlights made with edits so go check it out it is going to be amazing! Don't forget to follow my account too lol to never miss anything new I mean who won't want to see a lil sneak peak? I totally would lmao

2. I've decided to do some fun type of interview stuff with the characters of all of my books. You can ask questions, advices from your favorite characters and they'll answer it all! Lemme tell you how it will be happen!

I have a Tumblr account with the same username (@bieberstinvibes) and I have enabled the option of ask me anything there. You DON'T need to have a Tumblr account for this, you can simply submit your questions or anything through a link ( bieberstinvibes.tumblr.com/ask ) that's the link and I know it won't work from here. But no worries I'll add it to my bio too.
[NOTE: LINK IS IN THE BIO]

The format to submit questions is:
[Name of the character] from [name of the book] [your question/comment]

The format is necessary so we don't end up having confusions lol. Remember that I won't be able to able to answer your question if I don't know from which book the character is.

You can submit in your questions and I'll answer everything there and even post them on my Instagram! You can even ask the author aka me questions. If you want to know how it is going to be like then you can search up @keepingupwiththeavengers on Instagram or @chris-whore on Tumblr. That's how I got the idea to do this so the ic goes to them!

I think this will be really fun and I hope y'all join me too lol. I will be waiting patiently and excitedly for your responses!

Again, thank you so much for being patient with me, I'll try to update this book as much as I can until then don't forget to check out my other creations!

Anyways,

Hope you guys liked this chapter 🤍
