"Did you wake up missing me?"

I smile, even though he couldn't see me, shaking my head "Do you know rumors are going around about me?" I ignore his words, sitting down on my porch steps as I stare out onto my front yard.

"There are always rumors about everyone Ji"

I sigh lowly "Yeah well this one has been lingering since you left and honestly, I'm at my wits' end"

I heard a door shut on the other side of the door before Minho spoke up "That bad?"

I bite at my lip "Nothing I can't handle but it's one thing when rumors are true and when they aren't"

"What it is?"

I pause for a moment, "I broke up with Maya" I finally told him. It was now Wednesday and Minho would be back by Friday. I never knew why I didn't just tell Minho right away, the topic just never felt right.

"Oh" Was all he said "I was unaware the school's favorite couple was having trouble" He chuckled lowly but I didn't. I frown.

"I'm a horrible person aren't I?" I whisper, my eyes stinging.

"I didn't mean to joke about it," Minho says, now serious. "I-I just don't know what to say really"

I nod slowly, "I apparently ghosted her after we slept together and now I guess I just used her for her body, or so that's what everyone else is saying"

"But that's not true" I heard rustling on the other side of the phone, like he was once lying down but now he was up... listening. "I know you really liked her"

"Not as much as I tried to convince myself" I mumble.

"What?"

"Nothing," I said quickly "I just feel like I shouldn't have taken it as far as I did. I shouldn't have asked her out in the first place, that was dumb of me"

The line was quiet for a moment "Why did you?" He asks softly, curiously.

"I was scared" I admitted "I thought if I allowed her in my life more, I would be able to forget everything else"

"Forget me?"

"No," I said quickly "Forget our kiss"

"Same thing"

I chuckle lowly "Stop being stubborn"

I heard his low sigh "I miss you"

"I miss you too Minho"
