briar is certainly what she would call a wonder. with filipino descent, she was born with dark brown waves that cascade down to the middle of her back. hazel eyes, specked with what looks to be gold, and sparkles with mischievousness seemingly every time you look at them. a slender yet toned frame from all the dancing, with tanned skin from all the sunshine she loves to get, and angular features, dotted with the freckles she inherited from dear old dad. long legs, a flexible back, and long fingers. her limbs are a little longer than most people's. while a lot of people think she'd be taller than she is, she is actually a lot shorter than she wants to be. she stands at a measly 5'2", but what she likes in height, she has in her giant wax wings that protrude from her back.

BRIAR is... she's certainly something special. or something different. what you see is what you get with her. like the meaning of her name, she can be a thorn to someone's side. her tendency to intentionally stir up a little trouble paired with incomparable recklessness. she's outspoken, sarcastic, sometimes cynical, with a sliver of arrogance, and has that thirst to prove herself at every chance she gets. the definition of 'tiny but tough', and that is precisely what she is. she is also somewhat of a people-pleaser, and very competitive when it comes to anything sport-related. when it comes to reading, studying or anything like that, count her out. for your sake. those kinds of things make her bored, and you do not want to be around a bored briar dalton. her usual remedy to boredom is pestering the next person she could find.

BRIAR is definitely an extrovert. she doesn't do well staying still for more than one minute, and she has always been the active type. she yearns for adventure at every corner, and she is definitely a risk-taker when it comes to everything and anything. she's a very loud and boisterous person, and you'll usually know if she enters the room. she's one of those girls who likes standing out from the crowd, and one of those girls who doesn't mind leaving a lasting impression on anyone; good or bad, doesn't matter to her. she's a girl who can persuade anyone to do anything, no matter how crazy or stupid. she just has that quality. she's a fairly flirty person, which is certainly odd, considering she is also a self-loving, independent person who is far from being a person who has to constantly rely on other people for happiness.

MENTIONING that, the situation is quite the opposite. despite all of her faults that she is much more likely to showcase than the things that she hides deep down. she's a girl who shows everything wrong with her when you're only getting to know her, because she believes that if you can't handle her at her worst, you don't deserve her at her best. her 'best' being the fact that, while she is certainly a little on cockier side, she would take a bullet for the limited people she truly cares about. you cannot deny her her loyalty, and her fearlessness. she has always been a very hard-working, and someone who hates admitting defeat. a girl who has always strived for perfection, no matter what. flirty, lustful, and persuasive as she is, she is still a hopeless romantic of sorts. she just likes to mask it up by saying how relationships are always cheesy and cringy. but then she entered the selection, didn't she? because deep down, she knows that she wants someone to dig deep and love her for whatever the hell she is.

BACKSTORY ;
the dalton family had always been blessed with some sort of notoriety. well, it was more like infamy, but it was still notoriety. it was more common for maidens to marry to men of higher postitions, but it was actually the opposite of what happened to her family. her dad was a member of one of the richest families in illis, but fell in love with one of the poorest, yet most hard-working peasants. he married down, and here they are now. it was a little scandalous, so to speak.

briar was always the relaxed one in the family. and she was the unexpected one. they all lived happy, but briar just never seemed to worry about anything. sure, there were a few taunts about the petty things here and there, but everyone's experienced that. she just danced her way through life, and doesn't plan on stopping any time soon. all of the weight was put on her older sister's shoulder, so she didn't have to worry about anything. yeah, her life was pretty great.

STRENGTHS ;
• loyalty ⎯ it will certainly take a while for you to get there, but once you earn her trust, she would jump in front of a bullet for you.
• courage ⎯ they say your greatest weakness is your greatest strength. maybe the fact that she doesn't think about or associate with fear is the reason she got this far in life.

FLAWS ;
• arrogance ⎯ she is very much on the self-obsessed side. you'll see her constantly checking her appearance on any reflective surface, and her tone has always sounded very... superior, i guess. she likes knowing she's just a little better than some people.
• impulsive, reckless & bold ⎯ tying in with her strength of courage, the three (or four) go hand-in-hand. the reason she's so reckless is because she doesn't seem to care about the more dangerous things in life. she doesn't things true until afterwards.
• sarcastic ⎯ need i say more? i guess you could weave bold and impulsive into with this, as she tends to not think before she talks, and she usually just says what's on her mind. and since she's a judgmental person, whatever's on her mind is usually mockery.
• troublemaker ⎯ again, i don't need to say anything. she stirs up trouble on purpose, just for the sake of it.
• seducer ⎯ manipulator, bad person, whatever you want to call it. she manages to get whatever she wants put of someone.

HOBBIES & HABITS ;
• ballet ⎯ it has always been- and always will be- the best thing she has ever done. it relieves any stress off her back. ironic, considering her wings are incredibly heavy. it's a miracle she's able to do ballet at all.
• painting ⎯ she's surprisingly okay at it. specifically watercolours.
• music ⎯ not particularly good at it, but the sound of violins has always been one she loved. although, she apparently has a knack for singing and songwriting.
• twiddling her thumbs ⎯ briar twiddling her thumbs is a first sign of boredom. and as mentioned, you don't want to be around a bored briar.
