Eli pulled the door of the room shut with an exhale. "Jesus, I can smell the anxiety on myself."

"We're in. We did it." Kira grinned in relief.

"Don't get too excited. Getting out is the hard part." Malia walked over with Eli trailing behind her, looking down at her phone. "Twelve minutes."

She yanked the front of the large box off, the trio staring at the wires now. Eli exhaled. "Hum, yeah, yup, definitely know what all those colors mean."

"It's not the colorful ones I need to focus on." Kira answered as she looked at the thicker ones toward the back, approaching.

"Okay, Kira. You can do this." Malia encouraged her. "Eleven minutes."

Eli passed her the paper as she looked down, back to the box. "I think it's these. But they're covered in rubber."

"Okay, context clues." Eli leaned in close as he examined the wires. "So, we could-"

He was cut off by Malia trying to jab a pair of scissors forward. He grasped her hand. "Woah, woah, woah. Do you want to electrocute yourself? Look like Albert Einstein?"

"I'll heal." she shrugged at him.

"Ugh, not if you kill yourself." he sassed, taking the scissors from her. "Lord have mercy on my soul."

"Attitude." Maia slapped his shoulder, getting a little of disbelief. "What? Hit me back."

"No." he argued, getting hit in the arm again. "Why are you hitting me?"

"Come on, hit me back." Malia encouraging with a cheeky grin. "Don't be a wimp."

"Would you-" Eli shoved her hands away before she could hit him. "I'm not-"

His hand grasped her, yanking her in closely and latching both hands onto her wrist to stop her from hitting him. Malia cracked a grin. "I was waiting for that."

"Why do you want to fight me?" he gave a crazy look, keeping her still. "We have to rescue Lydia."

He let him go, she wacked him in the head. "Malia, stop."

"Come on, get angry." she encouraged, hitting him again. "Don't be so calm."

"What are you talking about?" he shoved her hands away. "There is bigger fish to fry."

"Would both of you shut up?" Kira cut in with a long inhale. "I need to get this rubber off."

Malia let Eli go, flicking her claws out as she reached into the box, cutting it with a whimper of pain. Pulling back, her claws were black and burning. Eli sighed. "I didn't die."

"I was hoping your hair was gonna stick up." he said honestly, bumping into her side as they looked to Kira. "Want me to kiss you to keep you calm?"

"Eli, have you even kissed a girl before?" Kira looked in disbelief.

"Whattt? Yeah." his voice got high, shrugging his shoulders.

"Ow." Malia slapped his chest. "Your heartbeat is hurting my ears."

Kira cracked a comical grin, facing the box again. "Time?"

Malia looked at her phone. "Four minutes."

"Okay, do the thing." Kira exhaled, looking at Eli.

His eyes widened. "You actually want me to kiss you?"

"No, the calm thing." she argued, Malia hit him upside the head.

"Right. Right." he nodded, getting behind her as his hands pressed onto her shoulders. "Just ignore whatever's around you, and only focus on you."

"I can smell how nervous you are." Malia said honestly.

"Not helping." Kira said. Eli circled her quickly. "Where are you going?"

He brought her hand to her heart, moving her hair off her neck. Malia nodded. "You can do this. It's just like we practiced."

"You mean like when I caused a mayor blackout?" Kira gave a worried look, Eli's hands back on her shoulders and giving a gentle rub.

"Ten seconds." Malia looked at her phone.

"Hey, you've got this." Eli whispered to Kira with a little nod over her shoulder. "The fact that you can even have the ability to do anything with electricity is enough as it is. You just have to trust yourself. What happened it the past, it's just saw dust, it doesn't matter. You know you can do it, just remember who you are and what you can do."

Kira looked back at him, nodding her head as Eli kept his hands clasped on her shoulders. Her hands reached into the box, latching onto the two wires. Malia and Eli shared a look, nothing happening to the lights. "Why isn't it working?"

"Because I have no idea what i'm doing." Kira sighed, taking a deep breath as Eli rubbed her shoulders in comfort. She tried again.

"Kira, nothings happening." Malia huffed.

"Malia, a little more gentle." Eli gave her a knowing look.

"Nothings happening." she repeated, motioning around the lit room.

"I'm aware of that. I don't want to lose control because i'm scared I might fry the entire system." Kira admitted in return to the pairs bickering.

Malia circled her again. "Stop worrying about what you might do. This isn't about you, or me, or Eli. It's about Lydia. We're here to save Lydia. We're here to save our friend."

Eli let Kira go, she looked back. "Why'd you let go? It was keeping me clam."

"Because I know you can do it without me." he confirmed, taking Malias side as the two backed up some. Eli grabbed her hand suddenly as Kira latched onto the wires again, an electric glow coming from them, the room dimming.

"Kira, it's working." Malia smiled.

Eli looked up at the lights with a grin. "Little bit romantic, don't you think?"

"Maybe if we weren't in a house of hell." Malia hummed in response, Eli mocking the same look she gave as their hands tightened. Beeping came from the computer as the two hurried over, looking at the screen as it indicated a reboot. Eli grinned, looking to his left to be met with Malia smiling right back at him. They were so close, too close.

Malia looked toward the door first, opening it slightly as she peered at the two guards walking in. "Those guards shouldn't be there."

"We could get past them." Kira hurried toward the two.

"I can take em." Eli nodded confidently. "Well, maybe two."

"We don't want to set off any alarms until Lydia is out though." Malia pointed out with a head tilt. They gently backed up, closing the door.

"Stop." Eli said suddenly, making the two girls pause.

"What is it?" Malia looked in confusion.

"I can hear someone." he said, eyes widening with each heartbeat. "A few people, actually."

"The guards?" Kira suggested.

Eli exhaled, looking at the two. "Theo is here."

Malia opened the door again, this time finding the room bare. Hurrying forward, they looked at the male nurse passed out on the floor. She bend down and smacked him in the face, getting a weak grunt in return.

"It's started." Kira held her hands up, electricity bouncing off them. Eli backed up some, looking toward Malia.

"We gotta get her out of here." he nodded quickly as she agreed, the pair hurrying to lead Kira toward the door.

"What about the others?" she asked quickly.

"They should already be back at the morgue. Let's go." Malia said quickly with a nod, hurrying the pair after her as they ran down the long hallway, following the trail they knew. Eli pushed the door open as the alarm blared above them.

"This so backfired." he looked up in a panic, Malia grabbing hold of the door as an electric shock hit her body, making the two behind her crash to the ground when she was thrown back. "Malia. Jesus."

Eli groaned as he looked over at her. "What just happened? Are you okay?"

She breathed heavy. "Lockdown."

Kira was swarming with electricity, looking in a panic toward the two. "I don't know how long i'm going to last."

"How did you stop it before?" Malia questioned quickly.

"Scott carried me outside, which almost killed him." Kira said back quickly.

Eli nodded. "Um, okay, Malia....you want to take that offer?"

"Maybe we could try grounding you to something." Malia spoke up quickly again.

"You have a degree in electrical engineering?" Kira looked in disbelief.

"No, but, we have an Eli." Malia pushed him forward some. "And he's whatever Scott said he was."

"What did Scott say I was?" Eli looked in confusion.

"You can ground Kira like you do me, and Stiles, and Liam, and the rest of us." she nodded quickly, pointing to Kira. "You need to project onto her."

"How am I suppose to do that? I didn't even know what I do." he looked with panicked eyes.

"What do you always do?" Malia looked with disbelief. "Force yourself to project."

"I don't know how!" he defended himself quickly.

"Just try." Malia huffed.

Eli turned to Kira, shutting his eyes as he tried to do whatever he could. He thought of every form of calmness he could, thinking about it leaving his body and onto Kira. Malia watched the minty color glow form off of him, pushing toward Kira. Electricity struck around her, hitting the new light Eli was projecting, causing the both of them to hit the ground and loose consciousness.
