"Come on, Liam!" Eli gave a cheer from the bench, snapping his picture at free will.

Stiles was running his way. "Kira and Scott aren't answered. I gotta go see what's going on."

"Maybe they had a complication. If alcohol was involved, something it's difficult for guys to get it up." Eli suggested, handing Stiles his bag.

The Stilinki boy gave him a odd look. "Eli, how do you know this stuff?"

"I read it on a moms blog. They were talking about how difficult it is to enjoy sex after child birth and then one lady said her husband had difficulty because he was an alcoholic." Eli looked up at him innocent like. "Why do you think I don't drink alcohol? Three reason actually. Makes me feel like i'm gonna die, scared it's gonna destroy any chance I have at a sexual relationship, and I feel bad for ruining someone else's liver."

"What?" Stiles gave him yet another look of complete disbelief.

"My liver isn't my actual liver. I had a transplant three years ago." Eli said honestly and casually. "So now I would feel bad if I drink a lot and destroying a dead persons liver. How cruel of me to do."

"How cruel." Stiles agreed as he grasped his bag. "Okay, don't tell coach, I think he's distracted enough, actually. And, keep your phone on you."

"Okay, but before you go." Eli said, holding his camera up. "Smile for the yearbook!"

Stiles gave a open mouth grin with a thumbs up, letting him snap the photo before running off quickly.

"Foxx!" Coach yelled out about five minutes later. "I'm short two players!"

"There's a sickness going around, coach." Eli stood up as he walked over to them. "It attacked your eye balls, makes it blurry when you see."

"You seem to see fine." he said back, scanning over Eli's eyes. They were dark, almost black, but had such an innocent glaze over them no matter what situation he was in or what he'd been saying.

"I'm immune." Eli nodded, hoping coach would go along with his story.

"Oh, good." Coach gave a fake smile before blowing his whistle. "Get on the field!"

Eli's jaw dropped, blinking repeatedly. He looked over at Liam, who heard from his ability, giving a thumbs up. Eli then looked over at Malia, who was now sat with Noah and Adeline. Malia urged him to go on, grinning his way.

"Okay!" El announced, running back toward the bench to get his stick before hurrying into the field. "Liam, dude, he put me in!"

"I know!" Liam slapped his chest with a grin. "Don't let me bite anyones head off."

"I've got you!" Eli flashed a grin as he went toward his position, Liam and Brett getting in their position side by side, the ball between them. When the whistle blew, Liam had the ball and ran with it. Eli gave a minor cheer in the air with his stick above his head, that was before a player from the other team had knocked the ball away from him.

Liam hurried forward, knocking the two players running toward the goal. Eli held his breath, hoping that Liam would keep a grip. To his surprise, Liam was completely frozen.

"Liam! For the love of god, move!" Coach announced loudly his way. The players ran straight past Liam. Eli yanked his helmet off and rushed over to his friend, letting the players pass him as well. He made it before Liam, leaning to catch his gaze.

"What is it? Is it the moon?" Eli asked in worry.

"No." Liam sighed, shaking his head as he looked down. "Something- I keep seeing something that isn't actually there."

They both turned, watching as Devenford Prep scored the goal.

"Let's talk to coach, get you to sit this one out." Eli said with a nod, grabbing his arm.

"No!" Liam announced quickly, snapping slightly. He sighed at his tone. "I- Sorry, I'm okay. We can do this, okay? We've never gotten to play a game together. Let's make it count."

Eli grinned as he pulled his helmet back on, running off as Liam did the same. The whistle blew once more, and Liam had the ball again. He dodged one of the players. Eli, from where he'd been, didn't have to do much. Clearly, the players didn't think he would do anything considering they ran right past him last time.

Eli lunged forward when a player ran past him, taking the Devenford player down to the ground before he had a chance to get Liam. Eli stood up, helping the player up as well with a tap to the shoulder. Looking over, Eli saw Brett had completely taken Liam down.

Taking his chances, and very hesitantly, Eli ran over to them.

"What the hell did you do that for?" Liam asked from down on the ground.

"Because you're afraid. I can smell it on you from across the field." Brett said, unaware of the presence lurking behind him. "Just like I can smell the horrible anxiety of a certain someone behind me."

Eli's eyes widened as Brett turned to him. "I didn't know you were on the team."

"How could you know?" Eli gave a stupid look, pulling his helmet off to look at him better. Brett did the same. "Liam's gonna kick your ass!"

Liam gave a crazy look as he stood.

"Oh yeah?" Brett grinned slightly, taking a second to look him over. "You filled out some."

Before Eli could say anything, a voice rung. "Hey!"

The trio looked over at Malia, who was stood with a violent finger pointed at Brett. "Don't you talk to Eli, idiot!"

Brett looked over at Eli. "Cute. Girlfriend?"

"I wish." Eli said dreamy like before snapping back to reality and looking back at Brett. "Mainly because I truth her. Mainly because she'd never do what you did!"

"How many times do you want me to say it? I didn't send any of that around." Brett defended himself with a crazy look.

"It's not like I put you and a million other people in a group chat and was like 'Hey, check me out!'. You are the only one that had them!" Eli jabbed a finger at Brett chest with a serious look. "No telling who else you've done it to."

"I didn't do it. I swear." Brett tried to grab his shoulders, but Eli smacked both of arms, rather hard, away.

"Easy!" the ref whistled as he ran to them. Eli backed up some as he looked toward Liam. "Good to play?"

Liam nodded. The ref turned to Brett. "You planning on pulling something like that again?"

"Only if I have to." Brett gave an arrogant grin before turning to run off, completely swerving past Eli.

"You." the ref announced as he met eyes with Eli. "Save it for the field."

Eli nodded as he let a breath go, looking at Liam. "Did you see that? I slapped both his arms."

"I know." Liam nodded his head. "Felt good?"

"Oh, yeah!" Eli announced with a grin as the two took off toward the positions again. Eli looked back toward Malia, pausing as he looked at the sight of Peter sat with Malia. Panic and protectiveness set in at the sight, completely loosing sight of what was going on around him at the pure worry he saw. Noah and Adeline weren't there. It was just Malia with her asshole father.

"Eli!" Coach yelled out, getting his attention. "Play the game!"

Eli looked around and realized another play had already began.

Eli searched around his bag, any form of shirt would have been great right now. He couldn't remember if he left it in his locker, or even in his other bag. Brett's voice rung. "You okay?"

Eli spun, thinking he'd been talking to him. That was before Liams voice rung. "We lost."

"But you're okay, right?" Brett continued on. Eli crept slowly behind them, keeping his distance to stay hidden.

Liam scoffed slightly. "Why'd you do that? Why'd you help me?"

"Because of Scott. He saved me. He saved all of us." Brett spoke honestly with a form of softness in his tone. "Do you know how lucky you are?"

"What do you mean?" Liam sighed.

"Scott's a True Alpha. That means he didn't get his power because he was born with it." Brett explained, Eli leaned his head against the lockers as he listened in. "He didn't get it by stealing or killing someone. He earned it. You're not strong just because you can lift a lot of weight now. You're strong because you endure. Satomi calls it strength of character. You're lucky to have him."

Brett exhaled before turning around to Eli. "And you-"

Eli flew back against the lockers, bare back hitting the cold metal. "You scared me."

"You need to stop hating me." Brett said honestly with a nod of his head. "I don't know how those pictures got out, maybe someone got into my phone and wanted to out me, I don't know. But what I do know is that I didn't do it, I would never do something like that. And i'm sorry, i'm not gonna let anyone mess with you because of it though."

Eli didn't say anything, because he'd hated Brett for three months because of it, it was impossible to just say all is forgiven right on the spot. Granted, the boy didn't give him much of a choice to because he'd left. Eli looked back to Liam, walking over and sitting across from him. "What's this i'm hearing about you seeing stuff that isn't there?"

Liam sighed as he looked down. "The Benefactor. It's like he's haunting me."

Eli gave a worried look from across from him. "Are you scared he's gonna come after you?"

Liam shrugged. Eli frowned, bumping his foot with his own. "Scott isn't gonna let anything bad happen to any of us. He's good at that."

Liam looked at Eli in realization. "I think i'm paranoid. You know a lot about that."

Eli gave a chuckle. "In a way, yeah."

"So, what do I do?" Liam asked him with questionable eyes.

Eli sighed. "When I start to get overwhelmed and feel like the entire world is caving in on me, I usually just have to pause, take a second to realize i'm in control."

"But what about when i'm not?" Liam asked, referring to the full moon. "Like I will be tomorrow night."

"Don't think about when you're not, think about when you are. You've been seeing the Benefactor as you, not as transformed you." Eli shook his head, sitting up straight. "Now, this is just what helped me, I don't know if it's with everyone. What you're gonna wanna start out doing is taking deep breaths and exhaling."

Eli demonstrated while Liam nodded, following his lead with it. "After a few times of doing that, you're still gonna feel your heart racing really bad. It doesn't stop it, but it helps you realize that you're still there, still in contact with your body. So you just-"

Eli brought his hand to his heart and gave a few rubs, watching Liam do the same. He flashed him a grin. "Then you just have to trust yourself. Don't let anxiety or being paranoid and scared define and take over you. You're in control, you're still you. It's easier said then done, I still haven't really grasped ahold if it yet, but every time gets better."

Liam frowned slightly before he gave a nod. "Maybe I should try that on a full moon."

Eli laughed. "Maybe so."
