"Liam! Why did you kill me! We're on the same team!" Eli called out, laying on his bed while Mason and Liam sat on the ground. The trio had their weekly video game session going on, where usually Liam kept Eli on his team because the dude wasn't too good, but now changed his modo.
Mason groaned when Liam killed him next, the Dunbar boy laughing. Eli sat up from his laying position, throwing his legs over Liams head to sit up right. "When did you get so good? You been practicing? Or did you just suddenly get superhuman reflexes?"
Eli cleared his throat, throwing himself back onto the bed to look up at the ceiling. If Mason had seen his face, he'd have known something was up.
"Uh...practicing." Liam nodded his head, slapping Eli's ankle. "Tell him."
"He's been practicing." Eli announced from where he was still looking up at the ceiling.
"And I should be studying." Mason sighed as he dropped the controlling, slapping Eli's ankle. "Come on, you're my ride again."
"Where you going?" Liam jumped in quickly.
"Home? I got a History test tomorrow." Mason gave an odd look. Eli rolled off the bed, nearly loosing his balance but Liam's wall caught him.
"Come on. One more game." Liam gave a pleading look. "Eli can go fast on his skateboard if he wanted to."
"Last time I went fast and had Mason with me, we ran into that trash can." Eli said honestly, searching for his missing shoe.
"Just one more game." Liam begged again.
"Yeah, you said that four games ago."
Mason laughed, grabbing Eli's shoe and tossing it backwards toward him.
"Study here. You can stay over. Both of you." Liam started up again.
Eli hopping over the bed and rubbed the top of his bead. "Aw, look, he's like a little dog, Mason."
Liam smacking his leg, only making the boy giggle at his joke that Mason wouldn't have understood.
"Come on, one more game. Just one." Liam began to beg Mason yet again.
"You okay?" Mason frowned his eyebrows at his state.
Liam frowned. "Yeah. You're right. You should go. Both of you. I should probably study too."
Eli and Mason shared an alarming look, both not moving. Liam spoke up again. "See you at school."
Eli reached down and rubbed his head again before leaving to drop Mason off.
"Everything's fine. I got a text this morning. He said he might be a little late." Stiles reassured the two as they pushed their way into the locker room.
"Well, how late is late? Is he always late?" Liam question quickly.
"He can't be late." Eli shook his head quickly.
"We're playing Devenford Prep again and this time it's an actual game." Liam pointed out in a panic.
"Oh, no." Eli shook his head quickly. "I gotta find a way to get out of this one again."
"You're on the bench all the time, you'll be okay." Liam patted his back.
"I don't wanna see him!" Eli defended himself quickly with a crazy look in his eye, turning to face Stiles. "He shouldn't be late!"
"Who shouldn't be late?" Coach asked, terrifying Eli as he jumped, stumbling aside. "Jesus, take an chill pill, Foxx."
Liam pulled an embarrassed look with a sign. "Scott and Kira."
"They might be slightly late." Stiles tried to make the situation seem better.
"Slightly late is still late." Coach stumbled over his words with a wave of his hands. "What are they doing?"
Eli's eyes widened, as Liam looked away awkwardly, Stiles rose his eyebrows. "They're doing something that's going to make them slightly late."
"Aw." Eli gave a minor gush. "That's so sweet of them."
"Eli." Liam scolded him with a weird look.
"What could Scott and Kira be doing right now that's more important than playing in the first game?" Coach waved his arms again, either ignoring or completely missing the point.
"Romantic stuff." Eli nodded his head. "Probably. Scott seems like the romantic type, anyways. And Kira seems like she'd like that. Probably."
"Stop talking." Stiles gave a fake laugh through his words.
"You're heart is going insane." Malia leaned on the side of the fence as Eli stood close to her. "What are you freaking out for? You're gonna be on the bench."
"I would really love it if everyone would stop reminding me." Eli said, pulling his jersey as it rubbed his neck slightly. "There's someone here that I just don't want to see."
"In the stands?" Malia looked back at them.
Eli sighed. "On the other team."
Malia looked at him questionably. "Why don't you wanna see them?"
Eli's face flushed as he sighed.
"Did you kick them in the face?" she asked him. "Or give them fake deer and say it was real deer?"
"I told you I was sorry." Eli gave a pleading look at her. "And I just don't wanna see him. It's a thing that happened a few months ago."
"What happened a few months ago?" Malia continued to pry.
Eli huffed, realizing she'd just keep asking. He looked around to make sure no one was listening in. "A few months ago, I was... feeling scandalous."
Malia rose one of her eyebrows. "Scandalous?"
"Brett's sister use to be my tutor, I couldn't pass AP science. And so, I was always with her, so I met him by default." Eli realized how uncomfortable it was to tell the story again. Telling Mason and Liam was already bad enough. "And I got...curious, one day. But, he made it worse because he did it first and asked me to do it back."
"Did what first?" Malia asked, annoyed by how much he wasn't telling and was expecting her to know.
Eli have her an innocent look to plead for his sanity. "A...scandalous photo was sent to him."
Malia pulled a confused look a second before her eyes widened in relaxation. "Oh!"
She then laughed, getting an offended look. "Sorry, sorry, you just don't seem like the type."
"I'm not! And it will never happen again." he spoke with a completely red face. "And then the picture was all over Devenford Prep after that, and I don't even go to that school so I haven't had to see any of them but now that we're playing them, they might all recognize me. Brett says he didn't show anyone and has no clue how it got out, but I don't believe him."
"So just own it." Malia shrugged her shoulders. "That's what I would do."
Eli gave her a weird look. "Own...that?"
"Yeah." she nodded, blinking when she realized something. "You're gay?"
"What?" Eli looked at her alarming like.
"You said to Brett. You're gay?" Malia repeated herself, confused because she'd heard him talk about girls before.
"No." Eli shook his head at her. "No, no, not gay. I like girls, and guys, and whoever, it doesn't matter to me."
"If he talks to you, tell him he is an idiot and i'll eat him if he messes with you." Malia grabbed his shoulders tightly with a small shake. "Does that mean you're bisexual like Stiles?"
"Unlabeled." Eli gave a shrug of his shoulders. "Even though I've never even dated anyone. Sometimes people say it doesn't count. It definitely counts though. I don't have to date people to be extremely attracted to them. Like, I never even spoke to Lydia freshman year and I planned our entire wedding. And then I had this huge crush on Danny Mahealani the summer before freshman year because he sold me my skateboard. So, it definitely counts."
"You've never dated anyone?" Malia asked in disbelief. "But people seem to like you. And you smell nice."
"Really?" Eli looked up at her with a flushed face and grin.
"Yeah." Malia nodded her head. "Like caramel and.... Pour Homme by Bottega Veneta."
Eli gave her an absolutely insane look. "How do you know what kind of cologne I use?"
"I was looking at all your stuff the other night." Malia said honestly with a nod. "I didn't date anyone until Stiles."
"Stiles was your first boyfriend?" Eli asked, unexpectedly. "But you're so, like, everyone's type."
"Well, I was a coyote the last eight years. So, yeah, he was the first." Malia nodded, leaning on the fence some. "What's your excuse?"
Eli rose his eyebrows. "Uh, don't know how to talk to people."
"So you just send them naked pictures instead?" Malia asked, Eli throwing a look over his shoulder as she simple grinned.
"I wasn't naked!" Eli defended himself. "I just-"
He stopped and waved her off after she began to giggle. "Never mind, you're hopeless."
"Keep that bench happy!" Malia called as he walked off. "I'll cheer for you!"
Eli waved her off once again over his shoulder. Falling down onto the bench with Stiles and Liam. The Dunbar boy nudged him. "Have you seen him?"
"Trying not to look over there so no one will recognize me." Eli said honestly.
"Not Brett. Scott." Liam pointed out quickly.
"Okay, what's really going on?" Stiles asked when he realized how panicky Liam was becoming. "Are you nervous about the full moon? It's not for another 24 hours."
Eli figured it was a bad time to ask if Malia, Stiles' girlfriend, needed him again on this full moon.
"Liam, you're gonna be fine." Stiles cut in when he saw the blonde looking at the sky. "Just try not to rage out on anyone."
"What about Brett?" Liam turned to them.
"Definitely go after Brett." Eli nodded his head, earning a half grin.
"You're not worried?" Liam asked Stiles now, listening to the clicks of Eli's camera as he got it ready.
"Okay, i'm mildly concerned." the Stilinski boy admitted. "Mildly."
"We're gonna loose without him." Liam huffed as Stiles sent Scott another text.
"How long does it take them?" Eli asked with a crazy look. "It's been an hour!"
"No, we're not. We're just as good without Scott. Okay? I've been practicing." Stiles ignored Eli and strapped on his gloves. "Let me tell you something, i'm getting good. Really good."
"I'll just, keep the bench warm for now." Eli nodded his head, holding up his camera. "And take some-"
He flew backwards immediately when his lenses focused. Liam caught his camera, knowing he already broke one in the last month. Stiles looked back at Eli, who was on the ground now. "What the hell are you doing?"
"He's look over here!" Eli spoke in fear and panic.
"Who?" Stiles gave a crazy look.
Liam rose the camera and looked in the direction Eli had been. "Brett."
