Chapter Sixteen

I just put this in here because I wanted you guys to hear the way Keefe's voice sounds in this. I literally started crying 😭. And if you guys read my past chapters you'll know that in one part I had Keefe sing, and just so you know this is how I imagined his voice. I could listen to his part on repeat for the rest of my life. If you guys want the link to the cover of Keefe's voice tell me in the comments and I'll paste it on my next chapter! <3 <3

"I'll tell him," She whispered to Keefe. He nodded.

"So... Grady... Um... Keefe and I are... Dating. So yeah," Sophie bit her lip, and tugged out at least three lose eyelashes.

"With me. Now."

Grady's stare could have withered flowers. He grabbed Keefe by the arm and dragged him into the kitchen.

Sophie buried her head in her hands. She didn't want Grady to find out this way! She knew Grady disliked Keefe, but he wouldn't keep them from being together, right? He couldn't. Sophie loved Keefe more than anything or anyone else in the world. Grady can't keep him from her. He can't.

A couple minutes later Grady and Keefe returned to the living room. Keefe was grinning wildly like a child that was just told he could buy anything he wanted at a candy store.

"Thank you, Grady!" Sophie cried, running up to him and giving my a huge hug.

"Don't thank me yet. If that boys even harms a hair on your head..." He trailed off, giving Keefe a stern look.

"I won't sir, I promise," Keefe reassured him.

"Good. Just no kissing and smooching and hugging in front of me, alright? And the door needs to be at least 5 INCHES open." Grady said, sternly.

"Of course," Sophie paused, "Dad." He seemed to brighten at the word, and Sophie immediately felt bad for not saying it more often.

Sophie turned to Keefe and grabbed his hand, tugging him outside with her, straight into the fresh morning air.

"So what did he tell you?" Sophie asked, her tone light.

"Oh nothing much. Pretty much what he told you. If I even try to hurt you I'm dead."

Sophie nodded along.

"But he also said that out of all the people that have liked you, I'm his favorite."

"What?! No way!" Sophie exclaimed, flabbergasted.

"I know, I was shocked too, but I guess even he can't resist my charm," Keefe smirked, running a hand through his golden blond hair. Sophie tried not to blush, he was SO cute when he did that.

"Sure, whatever," She giggled, giving him a soft, playful kiss on the cheek.

"That's all I get?" He pouted, sticking his bottom lip out.

"You're ridiculous. You know that, right?" She laughed.

"You love it."

Sophie fought back the urge to say I do. Cause it would probably be WAY to cheesy. She gave him a smirk-she all of a sudden understood why Keefe smirked so much, it was actually kinda fun-and then she tapped him lightly on the shoulder.

"YOU'RE IT!" She cried, running off the Panakes Tree.

"NOT FOR LONG!" Keefe shouted back. Racing after her. Sophie's heart pounded with excitement, as she raced across the green pastures.

"I GOT YOU NOW!" She heard Keefe cry and he tackled her to the ground. She yelped, and exploded into a fit of giggles when he began to tickle her.

"Stop! You're so annoying!" She laughed, tears beginning to collect at the corners of her eyes.

Finally he stopped, and he collapsed on the ground next to her, looking up at the fluffy clouds.

"This is perfect," Sophie whispered to herself, "You're perfect."

"What was that, Foster?" Keefe asked, turning towards her. But Sophie didn't have the words, because the moment Keefe's eyes landed on hers, everything else melted away. And all she wanted to do was grab him and kiss him. But that might be too sudden, and maybe he wouldn't be into it, and maybe it wasn't the right moment, and maybe-All of a sudden she felt lips pressed into her own, and everything felt... Right.

The kiss was passion, and fire, and explosions. It felt like fireworks erupting in her her lips, her hands, her arms. Everywhere. She grabbed hold of his neck and kissed like there wasn't another living soul in the world. Because there wasn't. It was them and only them. Sophie never wanted it to end.

But life doesn't always work like that. At least her's didn't. A piecing scream coming from Sophie's house jolted Keefe and Sophie apart.

Sorry for the cliff hanger guys! But don't worry, everything is going to be fine. I hope...
