Hey guys, comment down below which do you prefer, Dexiana or Tiana??? I'm so torn rn and I literally can not choose which one I ship, they're both sooo cute! Whichever one has the most comments is the one I'll include for a future bonus chapter of my story!! You might have to wait a little while for it, but it will be worth it I promise!

Now onto the Sokeefe! <3 <3

Sophie was sleeping in a cot right next to Keefe's. Silveny had flooded her dreams with so many calming images, Sophie just dozed right off.

She slowly opened her eyes. Someone was thrashing around. Who was it? She looked around.

Keefe was thrashing around in his bed, beads of sweat dripping down his face twisted in agony. His breathing was quick and fast. He was trembling in fear.

"HELP!" He screamed in his sleep, "HELP!"

"Keefe! Keefe! Keefe, STOP!" Sophie shouted, racing over to him and shaking him awake.

"Wake up, Keefe! Wake up! Please," Tears pooled down Sophie's face. Keefe's eyes shot open. His breathing was fast as his ice-blue eyes looked up at her, twisted in terror. Sophie climbed on top of the bed with him and stroked his hair until his breathing slowed down, and he stopped shaking in her arms.

"How... How do you deal with that every night?" He whispered.

"I'm sure yours are worse than mine," Sophie looked into his eyes. Keefe shook his head.

"I bet your's are worse."

"Can I see?"

"What I was dreaming about?"

"Yes," Sophie said softly.

"Are you sure?" He whispered.

"I need to know how bad they are, Keefe. Don't worry, I'll be fine."

She could tell Keefe was about to shake his head, but then he stopped.

"Okay. I'm sorry I'm letting you do this. I just-"

"Don't want to face it alone?" Sophie suggested. Keefe nodded. "I understand. But don't apologize. It's my decision."

Keefe bit his lip but didn't protest. Then Sophie entered Keefe's mind. The nightmare was right in the front of his mind. Fresh and clear in stunning detail. Sophie's were always a little foggy. But Keefe's... Keefe's was real.

"TELL US!" Fintan screamed, burning Keefe's arms up. Keefe screamed in pain and began to tremble.

"I don't know!" He shouted over his tumbling tears.

"Liar," Fintan growled, "Bring it in."

A cloaked figure walked into the room carrying a huge whip.

"Do it."

The figure didn't hesitate. He whipped Keefe. Over and over again. Each time Keefe would say he didn't know. And each time Fintan would burn him or he would be whipped.

Tears streamed down his cheeks as he said softly, "I don't know."

"You know what naughty boys get? Hm? This," Fintan growled and plastered his flaming hands on Keefe's face.

Keefe screamed. And screamed. And screamed.

Sophie jerked out of his mind, Keefe's screams still echoing in her head. Over. And over. And over.

"They would do that every day all day. Fintan would pick new parts of my body to explore, and I would get whipped all over my stomach," His voice was barely audible, "You want to know the worst part?"

"What?" Sophie managed to choke out, clinging onto him tighter.

"She was always there. Just watching. Waiting for me to crack. She never stopped it. It was just like with my dad. He would yell at me, scold me, curse me, and she would just watch, never stopping it, never joining in. Just watch. Wait! Where's Ro!?" Keefe immediately sat bolt upright.

"Don't worry. She's standing right outside the door, safe."

Of course he worries about Ro. Sophie didn't even ask about Sandor when she was hurt by Umber, and he was getting hurt right there with her!

"And Keefe?" Keefe sank back into Sophie's arm and rested his head on her shoulder.

"Yeah?" He asked, his voice barely audible.

"I won't ever let them hurt you again."

Keefe didn't respond. He gazed up at her brown eyes, and she could see how the Neverseen broke him. Tearing him apart piece by piece. Grabbing little chunks of what he had left, until finally... He had nothing left. But she could also see something else. Just a hint of determination. A will to stay strong. A will to fight. And that was something that the Neverseen could never take away. No many how many times they beat him, he would always get back up. And he was just going to survive. No. He was going to rise, he would never ever give up. No matter how many times the Neverseen broke him, he was going to pick up all his pieces and put himself back together. Because that's who he was. He was Keefe Sencen. And he would never be broken.

By the time Sophie was done with her ranting Keefe had fallen asleep on her shoulder. Sophie smiled at him and laid her head on top of his, making sure her blonde hair was out of his fragile face. Then she fell asleep, and neither of them had any nightmares for the rest of the night.
