WOODSBORO. THE ONE TOWN in all of the US that was probably the worst place for a teenager to live. Every couple years, when the hype of the Stab franchise grew, some fame hungry teen goes crazy and murders all of their friends. Picks them off one by one.

It was inevitable. Which is exactly why when news of an attack on one of her best friends by someone wearing a ghostface mask, Pauline Summers was not even surprised. While not the biggest fan of the movies, her crush Mindy, was borderline obsessed with those films. This meant that Pauline knew more than a casual fan should ever know. That was the price she paid for being romantically interested in someone related to the original victims of the ghostface killer.

It also meant she was possibly a target of these attacks. One wrong move and she would be on the receiving end of the killers blade. No one could be trusted.

author's note / lads I had to. I recently rewatched this movie and Mindy is just so freaking cool. plus she's so beautiful. this fic was inevitable. also yes, she is my oc from my modern!au Ellie fic which is no longer happening :)

so for anyone that remembers, I did begin writing for scream 6 but I genuinely just don't really like that film plus with the way the franchise is going, I don't feel interested anymore. So pauline & Mindy's story ends happily in scream 5 lol
