✧ How you met ✧

PERCY

You were just relaxing by your cabin's porch, not doing much and minding your own business. The sun shone down onto Camp Half-Blood brightly (like it did most of the time), yet it wasn't all too hot outside. Just a nice, normal day.

Suddenly the peace was interrupted by the sound of waves crashing. At first you thought nothing of it. It's just the lake nearby, though you weren't quite sure why you hadn't heard it before... But the waves kept becoming louder.

Next thing you knew, water poured down onto you and you stood there completely soaked.

For a few moments you were frozen in shock, before seeing an all-too familiar person come around the corner. Jet black tousled hair, sea-green eyes. None other than Percy Jackson, of course. Sure, why not have the son of the sea god who saved the world transport a wave all the way from the lake to your cabin. Just your luck.

"Sorry! That was me!"

You frowned lightly. "Gee, didn't plan on taking a swim today." Percy gulped, guilt flashing in his eyes as he handed you a towel that he happened to have with him. "I'm so sorry! Grover and me were hanging out by the lake, but he ate my blue cookies, so I got mad and-" He was interrupted by the sound of your laughing.

"Hey, it's all cool. No worries." A smile graced your features as you dried your hair, you found his concern and story way funnier. The son of Poseidon let out a slightly relieved chuckle, glad he- for once- didn't make a new enemy. He decided this'd be a good time to introduce himself.

"I'm Percy Jackson!"

"I know."

"Oh."

"I'm Y/N." You smiled at him. "Y/N L/N." Remembering what he said earlier, an idea popped up in your head. "Since you had to suffer the loss of your blue cookies, I have snacks inside. My siblings won't mind you."

Percy grinned. "I like you already."

ANNABETH

You stood in front of the Athena cabin, knocking on the door patiently. One of your friends, Malcolm, had stumbled across some quite engrossing sounding book he read in a converstaion with you recently. Your interest was sparked, and you decided to stop by and try to see if he'd lend you the books like he had promised.

After a few more seconds of waiting, the door swung open. But instead of Malcolm there stood a girl with curly blonde hair tied up in a ponytail and stormy gray eyes.

You had seen her quite a lot of times before, actually. Malcolm's half sister, whom you knew to be a very smart girl, and the one to have been at Camp Half-Blood longer than everyone else. Sometimes she listened to the conversations you had with him, other times you saw her reading somewhere.

With a wave, you greeted her as her name popped into your mind. "Hey, Annabeth right?" She let her gaze linger for some more heartbeats- as if to study you- before nodding slowly. "That's me. Anything you need?"

"Yeah, actually. I wanted to pick up a book Malcolm has told me about, he said I could borrow it." Annabeth hummed. "He's not here right now, but maybe I can help you." She opened the door further, then stepped aside to let you in.

"What book do you need?" She asked whilst you walked through the doorway. You told Annabeth the title of asked book, to which she nodded and went over to a bookshelf, with you standing behind her. Her fingers trailed the spines of various books before coming to a halt. The Athena girl pulled out the book and turned around.

She handed it to you. "This should be it." Grateful, you give a warm smile as you take the book from her. "Thanks, Annabeth." And you may or may not have been hallucinating, but there was a faint hint of a smile playing at her lips too. No, she was smiling at you. After saying your goodbyes you left the cabin, with Annabeth's gaze lingering on your retreating figure before she shut the door again.

JASON

Sitting in a tree and trying to read one of your favorite books is a very calming activity. It's quiet, the weather's nice and you already finished all your duties and classes for today, so what better way is there to spend the time?

"Hey." The sudden sound of a voice startles you. With a shriek, you jump back only to notice too late your legs were slipping from the branch and you fell.

That is, until a pair of strong arms wrapped around you.

"Whoah whoah! Gods, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." You looked up to see a blond guy with electric blue eyes and a cute little scar above his lip carrying you bridal-style. Jason Grace, son of Jupiter. Or Zeus, however he'd prefer it. He looked at you worriedly, until you realized that you've been staring at him instead of answering.

"Uh- it's fine! But how did you-.." It was only now you noticed both you and Jason were... floating? Six feet above the ground?

Right. You forgot this guy could apparently fly. As soon as he set you back onto solid ground, you let out a sigh of relief. Jason picked up your book that had fallen from the tree too and dusted it off. He then handed it to you, to which you thanked him.

"Hey Jason!" You saw Percy coming up behind the blond. "Did you- oh yeah looks like it." After dusting off your jeans, you threw him a questioning look. "Dinner's about to start. I had a theory you'd be up there, and looks like I was right." Percy explained. "And well, I told Jason to look for you."

Nodding in understanding, you smiled before realizing something and turning to Jason again. "I don't think we've quite met in person yet." You extended a hand to him.

"I'm Y/N. Y/N L/N." Jason's nerves fade a little at how welcoming you are. Percy had told him how great you were, as both a person and a demigod. He was honestly a bit scared, for whatever reason... "Nice to meet you." Jason returns the handshake.

"Now, let's get to dinner. I'm pretty damn hungry." Both of you laughed at Percy's remark and started walking towards the dining pavillion.

LEO

"Nyyyyssaaaa!" Leo drawled out his half-sister's name as he sat on his bed. Nyssa sighed and turned to him. "What do you want?" She questioned.

"I'm bored." The Latino answered with a exaggeratedly dramatic sigh. His cabin mate raised an eyebrow, then she shook her head. "Sorry dude, you're gonna have to find a way to entertain yourself. I have to-"

There was a knock on the cabin door, to which both Hephaestus kids perked up. Nyssa opened the door to reveal one of her friends standing outside, of which Leo couldn't recall the name at the moment. He jumped up from his bed, walked to his sister and her friend and interrupted their greetings to one another.

"Now who might this be?" Leo grinned at you. Nyssa remembered how you hadn't met the Hephaestus boy yet. "This is Y/N. Y/N, this is Leo." She playfully shoved his arm. "My dumbass half-brother." Said boy feigned hurt for a moment before his signature smile returned. Now that he heard your name again, he remembered you to be a G/P kid.

You chuckled at the siblings' banter, before extending a hand to Leo. "Pleasure to meet you." Leo returned the handshake. "Pleasure's all mine."

"So, how can I help ya this time?" Nyssa regarded you again. Both she and Leo only now noticed the Y/W you had grasped in your hands. "Well, I was kinda clumsy at training and managed to damage my Y/W." You sheepishly scratched the back of your neck with your free hand. "Maybe you could help me out?"

Nyssa frowned lightly. "Ah.. I don't think I'll be able to take care of that right now, I have archery class soon.." A small idea clicked in her head. "But Leo could help you, right?" She turned to her half-brother.

Leo pretended to think, putting a hand to his chin, before he nodded. "Mhm. Sure thing." The boy watched as you let out a relieved sigh. "Hand over the Y/W. I'll fix it."

With a grateful smile, you gave him your weapon. "Thank you so much, Leo!" Both of you shared a grin, before Nyssa stepped out the door to stand beside you. "Alright, I'll be on my way." She patted your shoulder. You decided you wanted to head off to your own cabin.

As both you and Nyssa walked off you waved to Leo one last time. "Thanks again!" Leo playfully winked with a wave of his own. "Anytime!" He called after you.

PIPER

You had no idea what the fuck was happening.

A thing- yes, thing, as you didn't know what it was- chasing you to a hill and almost getting to kill you was one crazy experience that you were sure had mentally scarred you for life. You were lucky to have escaped and not have caught any serious injuries besides a scraped knee and bloody nose.

As soon as you had reached a pine tree and the thing was gone, you sunk down into the grass. You were so busy catching your breath and trying not to pass out, at first you didn't even notice the pretty brunette girl that came into your sight.

She muttered something about a magic barrier, before kneeling down next to you. "Hey, hey! Are you okay? Can you hear me?" Concern was plastered on her face. As your diziness lessened a bit, you first only looked at her confused. But then gave a reply nontheless. "I-I'm fine, I guess..." Your voice came out a little weaker than it usually was.

The girl helped you to your feet. "I'm Piper." She said, trying to make the atmosphere a little more comfortable with an empathetic smile. "Y/N." You responded, feeling a little relieved at how she was trying to be nice to you. She led you through a greek-looking gate that was positioned right next to the pine tree.

"Welcome to Camp Half-Blood!" Piper exclaimed happily.

You marveled at the sight. Many, many kids of all ages were running around what seemed to be a training arena with swords, daggers and other weapons. There was a lake, strawberry fields and oddly enough small greek temples and statues. Before you could go on with looking around in wonder, a voice interrupted you.

"Piper. I see you've brought a newcomer." Both you and Piper spun around. Your breath hitched in your throat as you caught sight of a half-man half-horse guy trotting towards you. What were these creatures called again? Centaurs, right? You had learned a bit about greek mythology in school.

Piper explained to the centaur that she found you, again mentioning something of a barrier. She then leaned over your shoulder and whispered to you. "That's Chiron, the director of the camp." Chiron regarded you with a friendly smile. "Greetings, young demigod. I assume you must be confused, correct?"

You nodded, trying to muster up a polite tone. "Yes, and a bit dazed.. What was that... thing that chased me here? What is this place?"

"This camp is a place for... special kids all around the world. Well, we'll have time to explain everything afterwards. But I assure you you'll feel welcome here." Chiron smiled at the both of you. "Piper, give Y/N here a tour, won't you?"

Said girl nodded her head, a grin plastered on her tan face. "Will do." When Chiron plodded away again, Piper turned to you once more. "Alright then, shall we go? I promise to make it worth your while." She playfully linked arms with you.

"Sure..!"

NICO

It's against the camp rules to go out past curfew, you figured.

But you just needed to clear your head.

As soon as you had reached the forest (after watching out for harpies), you leaned against a tree with a sigh. You closed your eyes in an attempt of relaxation and put the back of your head against the trunk. In the midst of all the trees, you felt oddly safe, in a hidden spot like that. But there sure as heck was a lot of stuff on your mind right now.

This whole thing was a complete mess. You only got claimed by G/P and moved into said god's cabin about a week ago, and you still had troubles comprehending all this stuff. Of course greek mythology of all things is real. Of course one of the gods had to be your parent, but made no advance to make your life any easier before you came to camp. If you could, you'd curse G/P. Sometimes you felt like you weren't supposed to be born at all.

With yet another sigh, you ran a hand through your hair and raised your eyes to the stars. How were you ever going to get through all this?

.

.

.

"I didn't think I'd meet someone out here this late." A nonchalant voice sounds. You shriek and turn to see a pale-skinned teen with raven hair and dark brown, almost black, eyes.

You'd seen him around camp before, he was a son of Hades. Though, you weren't quite able to recall his name at the moment... "Yeah, well, I like the peace." The boy continued to study you a bit.

"Nico di Angelo's the name." He stuck out his hand for you to shake, to which you had troubles hiding your suprise as you heard his name again. You had heard of the son of Hades to be rather reluctant of any verbal or physical contact. Nontheless, you gave your best smile and handshake. "Y/N L/N."

The two of you talked for a bit more, but other than that just enjoyed the silence and looked up at the stars.

WILL

Stumbling into camp with a bloody arm after fighting a lost monster in the forest wasn't all too fun. Especially not when you pass out after that. Well, at least you saw some campers running towards you...

You slowly regained your conciousness. First, you saw you were in the infirmary. No big suprise there. Then there were two teens towering over you with worry-filled eyes. The first soon turned out to be your friend Annabeth Chase.

The other had curly blonde hair, sky blue eyes and slightly tan skin. You recognized him as the camp's head doctor Will Solace, a son of Apollo. Of course you had seen and heard about him before, just never quite met him personally.

"Gods... What happened?" You groaned, gripping your arm in agony. Annabeth sighed of relief, seeing as you were healthy enough to still be able to complain, though your state could be better. "I saw you pass out and brought you to the infirmary." She explained. "Found a monster in the woods?"

You nodded at her question, which seemed to explain everything. Annabeth left, and Will told you he had to re-bandage your arm. After some more silence, he spoke up. "I guess it's time for an actual introduction, huh?" He smiled a little sheepishly.

"I'm-" "Will Solace, head medic of Camp Half-Blood." You interrupted him, chuckling. "Huh. I'm really that popular aren't I?" With a grin, you nodded. "'Course! Best healer's a title that has to come around." Will laughed, his face lightly flushing as he finished patching up your arm.

"There. You can go if you want now, just don't put pressure onto the arm." You lightly brushed your fingers over the bandages, before standing up from the bed. "Alright. It was nice meeting you." The Apollo boy smiled. "Likewise." And with that, Will walked off to treat a different camper.
