Clint Barton and his four kids sat in a row watching Rogers: The Musical. Clint thought it would be a fun trip for them but he was quickly regretting his decision. Ayla couldn't help but notice how he eyed the Natasha actress with sad eyes. Her death had been hard on all of them, but especially Clint. He blamed himself a lot for what happend on Vormir.

"Dad?" Lila whispered. "Dad?" When he didn't budge she waved a hand in front of his face. "Did you turn your hearing aid off?"

"No, honey, I know what happens," Clint told her. "I was there. You know who wasn't there? That guy. Ant-Man."

"You look pretty cool though," Ayla whispered. "Thats a plus."

"I'll be right back."

After a while, Ayla had a feeling he wasn't coming back inside the theater so she told her siblings to wait there and headed out to find him.

"Hey," Ayla said, seeing him crouched on the sidewalk outside the theater. "Are you okay?"

"Oh, hey, yeah," He said, standing up. "Yeah, yeah. I, uh, just wanted to come out for some, uh...Some fresh air, is all."

"It's okay if you don't wanna watch the show. I mean, ignoring every other reason, it's not great," Ayla laughed. "And I know everyone misses her, but she was your best friend."

"Come here." Clint wrapped his arms around her and pulled his oldest daughter into a hug. "This whole thing is a bit ridiculous, isn't it?"

"A lot ridiculous."

Cooper opened the door and Nathaniel and Lila followed him out.

"Hey, guys! What's up? What are you doing here?"

"Why is everyone singing and dancing about everything?" Nate asked, wrapping his arms around Clints waist.

"I don't know," Clint laughed. "But it's Christmas in New york. And we're out of here. Right?" The four kids agreed and they walked away.

"You look like a maniac," Clint told Nate. The family was sitting around a table at a chinese restuarant, eating till they felt like they could vomit everywhere. "You're a total crazy person. Is anybody else hungry for some more, like, some more crabs or maybe get five more crabs? What do you think?"

"I'm full," Ayla sighed, sitting back in her chair.

"Yes. I could eat three," Nate said.

"No," Lila said.

"Come on, Dad, you ordered food for 30 people," Cooper told him.

"You're gonna puke if you eat anymore," Lila told Nate. She turned towards Clint and Cooper. "And if he pukes, you two are cleaning it up."

"I feel like I'm gonna give birth," Ayla groaned, placing a hand on her very full stomach.

"Hey, you know what? You know what's right down the street?" Clint asked. "The Christmas tree. The biggest one you'll ever see in your life. It's enormous! Wanna see it after this? "

"Yeah!" Nate cheered.

"Oh, wait, wait, wait. Momma callin. Momma's calling. Say 'Hi!'"

"Hi, Mom!" The siblings greeted when Clint pressed accept on his phone.

"Hey, guys! How are ya?" Laura asked. "I miss you so much!"

"We miss you, too," Clint told her.

"How was the show?"

"It was certainly a show," Ayla said.

"We left halfway through," Nate told Laura.

"Oh, no!" She chuckled. "You guys all good?"

"Uh, yeah, it'd be easier if you were here. I'd be less likley to strangle these kids."

"The whole point was for you to spend time with the kids."

"No, I'm kidding," Clint said when all the kids started throwing their napkins at him. "We're having a really good time. We miss you."

"I miss you," Laura said. "I can't wait to see you guys tomorrow."

"Bye, Mom!" Lila said.

"Love you!" Ayla added.

"Well, look, it's six days till Christmas, okay?" Clint said, when the phone was hung up. "We're gonna do a lot of activites. What's your favorite one?"

"Um, gingerbread house!" Nate suggested.

"We're doing that!" He turned to Lila. "What do you got?"

"Uh, Christmas movie marathon," She said.

"Movie marathon, awesome!"

"Uh, ugly christmas sweaters," Cooper suggested.

"Ugly Christmas sweaters! Ayla, what about you?"

"Christmas cookies," The oldest said.

"Love it!" Clint told her. "We have to decorate the tree. There's a thousand things to do. It's gonna be amazing, but most important thing, we're going to do it all together."

"No. Not holding their hands," Lila said when everyone started holding hands. She had been sitting between Cooper and Nate.

"Hold their hands," Ayla told her, chuckling.

"I love you guys," Clint told them. "It's going to be the best Barton Christmas ever! All right?"

"Dinner is on us," A waiter said, walking up to the table.

"Oh, thats-- that's not necesarry," Clint said.

"It's necesarry. You saved our city."

"Oh. Thank you."
