You had fallen asleep on the couch, your phone's alarm waking you up. You quickly looked around for it and swiped it up off of the ground, turning off the alarm. Your schedule was much different than everyone else's and you felt bad for forgetting to turn your alarm off.

The apartment was silent again and you turned to look out the window to be greeted by a frosty white world.

"I wonder..." you murmured and checked the univeristy's website, seeing that school had been canceled today.

You smiled to yourself and flopped back down onto the big couch, going through all the things you could do today.

"Hey, you up?" Niccolo walked into the room with a white undershirt and gray sweats on. He had bright red slippers that scuffed along the wooden floor as he headed into the kitchen nook.

You walked over to the ledge and leaned your elbows onto it, your face resting in your hands. "Are you making breakfast?" You waggled your eyebrows and Niccolo chuckled at that.

"What else would I be doing? My cooking is the only thing that'll wake Sasha and the rest of the apartment up," Niccolo teased with confidence, pulling out the carton of eggs from the fridge.

"Whatcha making?" You asked and Niccolo shrugged, turning to look at you and whispering, "You'll see."

You decided you'd take a shower while everyone else was still asleep, stepping into the bathroom and locking the door. You looked inside the shower to see if there was a scent that was just clean and not manly smelling. Fortunately, there was a bottle that was just called "Rushing Falls" that smelled pretty nice for all genders.

Turning the shower on, you took your clothes off and stepped in, quickly washing up and cleaning your hair, your fingers scrubbing your scalp to make sure you'd get all the oil and dirt out. Once you were finished showering, you dried yourself off and put back on the clothes you slept in. You didn't have anything else and you were bound to find your way back to your dorm soon.

Somebody started knocking at the door as you searched for a clean toothbrush and you opened the door to see Connie rubbing at his eyes. He smiled, his goofy grin making your heart skip a beat.

"Do you have a clean toothbrush?" You asked as he stepped into the bathroom and he pursed his lips in thought, opening the medicine cabinet and shuffling some things around.

He handed you an orange toothbrush still in it's cheap plastic wrapping, the kind they hand out at parades. You furrowed your brows in curiosity as you took the toothbrush from his hand.

"We went to some parade in a small town this past summer and the local dentist place was handing them out. Never used though," he winked and pulled back the shower curtain.

"Whoa whoa whoa, you can shower when I leave," you laughed as you grabbed his arm, stopping him from pulling his shirt off.

"Or I can just get in the shower first, take my clothes off, and then start," he compromised and you shook your head, letting go of his arm and letting him do whatever.

So as Connie showered, you brushed your teeth, holding in your laughter as Connie hummed tunes extremely out of pitch.

When you opened the bathroom door, Marco was standing outside of it with one brow raised in questioning. Your cheeks flushed but you pushed past him, and into the living room again, smelling what seemed like warm bread and cinnamon.

Niccolo was whippingnup frosting in the kitchen and your stomach growled hungrily, revealing you. He turned around and laughed but waved you over.

"The cinnamon rolls should be done any second now. Can you pull them out while I continue with this frosting?" You nodded your head yes and grabbed the mitt from the counter and waited for the timer to go off.

You pulled the oven door open at the sound of the beep and grabbed for the pan, but when you reached out, it burned you. You yelped and pulled your hand back, tearing the mitt off and rushing over to the sink, immediately turning the cool water on and sticking your finger under it.

"What happened?" Niccolo rushed over and looked at the blister quickly forming on your finger. He went over to the mitt and found a hole in it, beginning to search for another one.

Unsuccessful in his search, he grabbed a towel and folded it over, grabbing the cinnamon rolls and setting them on the stovetop to cool off, making his way back to you.

"Damn..." he muttered and left the kitchen, going to the right and opening the closet door, most likely looking for the first aid kit.

You kept your finger under the cold water but took it out when Niccolo returned with the kit. He gently dried off your finger, making sure it was completely dry before appyling a burn ointment and wrapping a bandaid around it, not too tightly.

You bit your lip in discomfort, trying to hold in any wincing. You didn't want to make Niccolo feel bad for not knowing there was a hole in the mitt. But you'd burned yourself hundreds of times from hot pans, it wasn't anything new.

"What happened?" Marco asked as he came waltzing in to the kitchen.

"Y/N burned her finger on the pan. There was a hole in your guys's mitt," he pointed out and Marco's smile faded as concern replaced it.

"I told Connie to buy a new one," he muttered and stepped forward, leaning over the edge of the ledge, a feeling of guilt in his eyes.

"Don't feel bad about it at all, this stuff always happens to me whenever I deal with the oven," you lightly joked, hoping to make him feel better about it.

"Cinnamon rolls? Niccolo, this is why you're my favorite," Connie pointed at him, a towel wrapped around his waist.

Niccolo and Marco both stared back at him and his smile grew more into a confused expression, trying to figure out why they were upset with him.

"You didn't buy a new oven mitt?" Marco pressured and Connie looked over to you, seeing the bandage and first aid kit.

"Well what happened?" Connie asked and Niccolo grabbed the mitt to show Connie the hole.

"Y/N went to grab the cinnamon rolls for me with this mitt," realization came over Connie's face and he walked into the kitchen, opening the cupboard above the fridge and pulling out a new mitt, setting it down onto the counter.

"I forgot to tell you I did buy one. Sorry," he apologized and Marco shook his head, grabbing Connie's shoulders and leading him out of the kitchen.

"At least no one was severely injured. Now go change, I don't think Y/N wants to see you half-naked this early in the morning," Marco teased and Connie's mouth dropped open in protest, but he never said anything.

"Are those...cinnamon rolls?" Sasha popped up out of nowhere and Niccolo quickly pulled her back restraining her as she tried to fight her way to the pan.

You laughed as you watched Niccolo and Marco trying to fend off Sasha from eating all of the rolls, knowing this would be a crazy morning.

After breakfast everyone started to change into snow clothes, things that were water-proof and wouldn't get everyone wet and sick.

You and Connie were walking behind everyone else, and he placed an arm over your shoulder as he leaned down to whisper in your ear.

"You ready? Because you're going down..." He smirked when you turned to look at him and you shoved him away, not letting him think for a second that you'd let him win anything.

"I may not be as experienced with snow, but I don't lose Connie Springer," you fired back and he shrugged, opening the door for you and letting you step out.

It was a blinding white, the sun bouncing off of everything and shining in your eyes. Footsteps were already in front of you from everyone else. The trees were icy, the snow piled up on its branches, weighing them down. The wind blew slightly, carrying a fresh scent that was clear and amazing to breathe in.

But the silence, it was the peace and calming silence that really got you. You never knew the world could be so quiet and still—until now. In a way, it was almost reverent.

Smack!

"Ow!" You yelled and wondered what hit you. You looked around to see Connie standing there with a snowball in his hand, smiling mischievously at you.

"You're gonna pay for that!" You hollered and bent down, trying to make your own snow ball. It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't like they were going to teach you in the middle of a fight.

You chucked your snowball at Connie but he dodged. He laughed at you when Marco suddenly nailed him in the gut with one of his.

"Hey! No cheap shots! I still got a broken wrist!" Connie yelled and threw a snowball back at him.

You laughed as you watched the events unfold, but you yourself weren't safe. You were running away from Sasha as she threatened a snowball against you. You rammed into Jean, the two of you stumbling over into the snow.

"Sorry!" You apologized and Jean waved it off, helping you to your feet before crushing a snowball over your head.

You gasped and picked up snow to throw it back at him. He started to run away from you but you threw your snowball, aiming for his back. Your aim was a little off though, because Jean ducked and instead it hit Connie's head.

Your hands went up to your mouth as everyone stood still, Connie shooting a death glare at you.

"You're dead!" He yelled and you yelped, running away as fast as you could, grabbing onto Marco and trying to use him as a human shield.

"Hey now," Marco protested as he tried to pull you off, Connie reaching around to grab you.

"I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry," you kept saying over and over again, hoping Connie would spare you.

Connie finally got you and pulled you close to him, everyone staring at you. Your heart was pounding, your cheeks and nose already ruby red from the cold, but you could still feel yourself blushing.

"Connie..." You dangerously whsipered, eyeing him carefully.

"Don't worry, I wouldn't do that," he whispered back and took a snowball, squashing it onto your head.

"Payback," he chimed and stepped away from you, leaving you and your cold head staring after him as everyone got back into the swing of snowball fighting.
