it has been a WILD ride. i started watching house of the dragon the first night it came out and every sunday after. first, i wrote "bad blood", but then when aemond was introduced, i knew immediately i needed to make a fanfiction about him.

as it is the end of the book, i'd like to take some time to give thanks && clear somethings up!

QUESTION TIMEEE!!!

1 - how is alerhya's name pronounced?
— (all-ear-ah , say it quickly!)

2- why did it end so abruptly? why wasn't
there more fight?
-- rhaenyra's character is devoted to family.
she was at first blinded to make her claim
on the iron throne, but then when alerhya
announced she was pregnant, everything
changed. a switch clicked. she realized
and remembered that family is the most
important thing someone can have.

3- why was rhaenyra's character so different
than in HOTD?
— my thought process was that daemon had a
lot to do with it. in the HOTD finale, we are
daemon actually choke rhaenyra. i felt like
it would have been in daemon's character to
push her to chase the throne, no matter the
cost, and rhaenyra has been told what to do
by men her entire life, so it makes sense to
me that she would have listened.

4- WHY DID YOU KILL JACAERYS??!
— to be honest, someone needed to die. it felt
right for it to be jace (don't kill me) because
he loved his sister and would have done any-
thing to protect her. also, in this fanfiction,
he wasn't very present, so i feel like it made
the most sense to kill him off.

6- how old are alerhya and aemond?
alerhya is about 18-19 and aemond is 20.

5- do aemond and alerhya and the twins get
a happy ending?
yes! mostly. in my mind, alerhya and aemond
live and love during their long life. i estimate
that they probably died around forty-two, after
their girls were well grown.
the twins eventually marry to their respective
suitors and aleema likely begins her rule
around the age of 28. her rule is unchallenged,
as well, since she grew up, and everyone else
around her grew up knowing she would take
the throne.
