Welcome to the book that nobody wanted but I wrote anyway: A story where the main character is actually the older sibling of a canon character (I swear, they're either twins or one is younger), does not become a Jedi, is not Force-sensitive, is not paired romantically with a canon character, and is a guy.

Oh, and let's not forget the amount of research I'll likely end up having to do in comparison to some of my other drafts. One can't exactly take over a planet from a crime syndicate without knowing how to fight and strategize. Politics also comes into the picture, which isn't something I'm very familiar with writing.

To sum it all up, this is purely self-indulgent.

Now, about the story:

Sorry if you like plots that heavily involve the main canon characters. After TPM, Anakin and Padmé don't return to Tatooine for ten years. Obi-Wan never actually meets Shmi. Jar Jar is... somewhere, hopefully being discouraged from engaging in politics (or anything that requires intelligence, really). And Qui-Gon is stabbed by a certain Zabrak and dies.

Essentially, I have a lot of wiggle room to set up Soren's rise on Tatooine without dealing with the actual MCs and their own plotlines getting in the way. We'll see how that goes. 

Also: There will be a lot of OCs. And I mean a lot. We're talking numbers capable of overthrowing the Hutts.

There will be some warnings before we start. The following list includes everything that may or may not occur in this book:

- Slavery, both in practice and mentioned

- Space cursing (kriff, kark, etc.)

- Regular cursing (shit, damn, hell, etc.)

- Canon-typical violence (yes, I stole an Ao3 tag, sue me)

- Bloodier violence (we don't all have lightsabers to instantly cauterize wounds)

- More to potentially be added.
