INTRODUCTION

Yume and Keitaro [twins] were born to Dai Morrigan and Sara Briars. Sara soon discovered she wanted nothing to do with being a mother , so promptly , as Dai Morrigan puts it , she ran off with a man on a motorcycle. He was able to maintain custody , and the entirety of his wealth and inheritance ( because of the fortunate circumstance that he had signed a prenuptiual document ) after their rather ugly divorce. 

Dai Morrigan, now a single father of two, in a very large empty house that was supposed to be filled with children, decided that despite the fateful end to his marriage, he could still do that. Dai's friend's son , who was only 17, unintentionally got a girl pregnant [17]. She wanted to have the child, but wasn't ready to be a mother, and Dai Morrigan stepped up , assuring the parents that he could give their daughter a wonderful life , and take care of her. So Delany was adopted into the family.

Dai Morrigan continued with his family, his three lovely children, but soon found himself falling for Elena Evans-Morrigan, who helped him get through his divorce. She worked for him, and he quickly fell in love with her a year after Sara Briars divorced him. He proposed to her two years later when she discovered she was pregnant with their child. So Jasiri Morrigan was born into a already building family. Soon after, a complicated infection from giving birth to Jasiri began to take over Elena, and she died a little after Jasiri's first birthday, once again leaving Dai Morrigan to be a single father all on his own.

Life continued for all of them, and Dai tried his absolute hardest to be the best single father her could be. It was around this time, that Dai Morrigan was having a hard time in general, two of his wives had passed away, and he threw himself into work, even distancing himself from his children for some time. His children hardly noticed, and they likely don't remember it now, but it was a period of his life he's not especially proud of. He remembers hailing a taxi one stormy night, sharing the cab with a very pregnant woman. There was a crash, and although the hospital tried desperately to save the mother, they were unable, leaving a lonely child that was bound for foster care. Dai Morrigan took one look at the daughter, and insisted he'd be the one to adopt her - he named her Jady, after his mother who'd died over a decade ago.

He was determined to build a family all on his own. He had the money, and he quickly discovered there was so many children in the world who desperately needed homes. He ended up being contacted by one of his buddies who worked with child services, and while his friend was just venting about a particularly stressful day, he was alerted to the tragic situation of a young girl. So he might, or might have not, made the trip out to the orphanage that was hosting her for the time, and filled out the papers for adoption. While he was there, he ran into a youngish girl, clearly spirited, and quickly approaching the age that was deemed "unadoptable", so he went home with two new daughters that day. Kasumi and Merlene. 

His family stayed like that for a little while, and Dai continued on with his life. He didn't expect to find love, but once again, it seemed to find him. Emilia Parkinson soon appeared in his life. She was perfectly fine with his child situation, albiet overwhelmed by it (understandably so), she even had a child herself! Elijah, who didn't seem to like Dai much at first. He took it slower this time, but eventually, they married, and Dai legally adopted Elijah as his son. Soon into their marriage, they decided to adopt a few more boys, to hopefully even out the number. Oftentimes, they played "boys against girls" and anyone can imagine how that went. So Akiho was adopted, and quickly was implemented into the family. Not long after the adoption went through, Dai got a call from Sara Briar's who pretty much straight-up dumped her unwanted son on his doorstep. Dai, overwhelmed, but always prepared, went ahead and adopted Junpei too - determined to give them all a happy home. Unfortunately, once again, tragedy struck, and Emilia passed away only a little after their first year anniversary.

Again, life continued onwards for a few years. His family thrived, and while Dai did have a hard time those first few years, he loved having a big family, and loves that he could give support to the kids who likely wouldn't have gotten it otherwise. Locally, and mainly through his older children, he heard the story of a teenage girl, who's family had practically dropped her once she'd turned 16. Naturally, Dai suddenly decided that ten kids was a weird place to stop, and after a rather diffiult manuvering, he was able to adopt Reysa into his large family.

A couple years after that, Dai was watching the news, where a large cold case was being opened, about the "accidental" car crash caused, that lead to a number of deaths, including the death of the parents of a young eleven year old. Curious, he did follow up research on it as the case continued to show up on the news, and eventually realized that Elliot, the child, was now thirteen, and would likely not be adopted, and none of his family would step up either, so Dai did instead. Besides, 12 is a good number, and it'd mean his kids could play teams!
