Naina walked into Sameer's cabin greeting the guards who wished her morning bowing in respect. As she went in she saw Sameer typing something on his laptop. He looked at her as he felt her presence but Naina did look in his direction. Her cheeks seemed to be heated by his intense gaze, placing his cup of coffee on the table she sat on the couch which was placed on the corner. She took the newspaper that was placed and started reading it, sipping tea simultaneously.

It was nearly three hours she had been sitting there. She wanted to speak, do some work but having nothing to do she looked around at the room. She roamed in his king-sized cabin noticing minute things of the cabin. A genuine smile crept on her face as she saw the certificates of THE BUSINESS TYCOON placed in a glass showcase. After a few minutes she left his cabin, Sameer saw her leave. Naina entered the kitchen expecting Mayaji and Nisha to be there but on not finding them she frowned a bit. It was about 2 pm. They had cooked lunch and went to rest. Naina opened the freezer and drank some water as she sat on the slab.

"Nani kehti thi ki shaadi ke baad ke pehle din kuch meetha banana chahiye, voh ho toh nahi ho saka lekin mai ab toh bana sakti hu." Naina said to herself and searched for ingredients to make a sweet dish. She tied her hair into a messy bun and started preparing halwa. She was standing near the stove as a wave of dizziness hit her but managed to stand straight. She was unable to sleep after last night's incident due to which she felt weak today. She wiped the sweat which formed on her forehead with the back of her palm and tried tugging her hair strands behind her ear as it disturbed her. She was too engrossed in cooking when, suddenly out of nowhere, she was pulled and her back hit a hard surface.

Naina shrieked when her dupatta was pulled off from her neck and thrown on the floor. She looked at the blue icy cold eyes that glared at her angrily. Naina shivered to see him and her burning dupatta. Sameer threw water on it to extinguish the fire while Naina kept staring at it in horror. Sameer held her shoulders tightly pinning her against the wall while Naina blinked several times to register what had just happened. She looked at her savior, her husband as he gritted his teeth in anger making her tremble like a dry leaf.

"Marna hai aapko? Do you wish to die?" He yelled, making her stiffen at her position.

"Are you even listening to me? What if I had not come to save you? What if something had happened to you? You won't work in the kitchen, you would never enter this place. Do you get that?"  He spoke coldly as his tone was laced with strictness. His chest heaved as he breathed heavily. Her heart flinched listening to his cold raging voice.

"Sorry," Naina whispered. Sameer walked out of the kitchen while she followed him silently to their room. As they reached the room, Sameer stood facing his back to Naina and slipped his hands in his pockets. Naina walked towards him taking baby steps and wrapped her shivering hands around his biceps. "Sorry." She mumbled again, making him look at her.

"It was not your mistake nor was it anybody's mistake. You need not be sorry for that. Just be careful next time." Sameer spoke sternly, making her bob her head a bit, taking her hand off his biceps. Sameer went towards the cupboard and took out some files while Naina kept staring at him.

"Aaj Nanu ke ghar jaane wala hu, do you want to come along?" He asked at which she nodded her head in the way of yes.

Naina came down and smiled seeing Sameer who was standing waiting for her to dress up. He scanned his wife from top to bottom, something did flash in his eyes which disappeared in seconds. She stood next to him as he stared at her. Slipping his hand behind her back they headed towards their car. Some guards opened the door of the car for Naina and Sameer. Naina tried to look at the driver's face and smiled genuinely recognizing him.

"Happy Birthday, Shehzad. Mai apko subah se dund rahi thi wish karne." She spoke, making Sameer look at her with a surprised yet impressed look. It had been just three days since she had come to his mansion as the wife and had started recognizing people by their names while also remembering their birthdates. Whereas he did not even remember their names though they worked for him for years. "Thank you, ma'am." He replied politely. Sameer took out his cigarette and started smoking as he thought about something. He let out a groan as somebody took a cigarette from his hand but stopped as he realized it was no other than his wife. Naina threw it out of the window and frowned seeing him.

"Mat kijiye smoke agar agli baar aap ne kiya na toh..toh main bhi smoke karungi." She threatened while Sameer stared at her in disbelief. Nobody in this world dared to stop or threaten him. He kept looking at her but she was busy adjusting her dupatta.

As they reached Nanu's mansion, Sameer got down the car, and before the guard could open the door for Naina, he opened it for her. She mumbled a thank you at which he just nodded his head. "Nanu," Naina called him sweetly.

"Kaisi ho aap?" Nanu asked as Sameer and Naina sat on the sofa while Sameer handed files to Nanu.

"Thik hu Nanu," Naina replied with a smile.

"Aap kamre mai jaiye muje Nanu se kuch zaruri baat karni hai." Sameer spoke in a serious tone. Naina pouted sadly and nodded her head in a way that was okay, leaving towards their room. Nanu started explaining to Sameer the way to handle the upcoming project plans.

◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇

Naina was sitting on the slab watching the clear sky as she was thinking about her past. She had a dreadful past that still affected her and yesterday's incident triggered those flashes. She was a shy and simple girl from childhood who kept things hidden to herself. She did not share things that hurt her, never opened her heart in front of anybody with fear that people would make fun of her or throw her away from their life. The only person she trusted in her life was Nani and after that, she did not have faith in anybody. Though she felt safe in the presence of her husband, she feared losing the only person whom she could say as Hers. She feared that he would leave her after knowing about her past, she feared if he would not understand her as her parents did. She feared to be left alone in that darkness once again. But, deep in her heart, she knew that he was the right person to share her feelings with. She folded her hands and mumbled some prayers.

"Naina," Sameer called her as he entered the room making her aware of his presence while she turned to look at him. She quickly got down the slab and walked towards him.

"Ji?" She asked.

"Kuch nahi bas aise hi liya aap ka naam." Sameer spoke in his cold voice but that was the truth. He was becoming too habitual to her presence that he felt addicted to her. He started liking to call her name as her name itself had a soothing effect on his soul. He felt different when she was near him but he wanted to cut off these feelings because he had sworn years ago that he wouldn't love or care for anyone. He respected his Nanu and he is the last person he would respect. He married her just for the sake of his parents who stated that he could inherit the property only if he marries Naina(the girl chosen by his parents). He shrugged off his thoughts and mentally noted to make things clear before she starts liking him.

"Aap aram kijiye, dekhiye na yeh dark circles hai apki ankho ke neeche." She said touching his dark circles made him close his eyes feeling her feather-like touch. Controlling his feelings he held her hand.

"Aapko fikar karne ki zarurat nahi hai.I can take care of myself. Itne saalo tak khayal rakha hai maine apne aap ka aur aage bhi akela khayal rakh sakta hu. Apke koi bhi ehsaan ya tipanni ki zarurat nahi hai mujhe" He went to freshen up while she felt hurt. She was sincerely concerned for him and was not trying to act in any way. A lone tear flowed from her eyes as it hurt when he spoke in that way. She wiped her tears quickly and tried to put on a smile. She was used to this she thought to herself and went downstairs. On the other side, Sameer ran his fingers in the hairs as water trickled down his sinfully well-built body. It hurt talking to her like that but he did not want to feel like losing a special one from his life, once again. Her tearful face flashed in front of his eyes. "I will have to clear all this before things get worse," Sameer spoke to himself in determination.

Nanu handed Naina an envelope, on opening it she smiled brightly but soon her smile disappeared. "Mujhe nahi jaana college Nanu." She murmured, giving the envelope back to him.

"Kyu? Aap padhna nahi chahti?" Nanu asked, trying to soften his gruff voice.

"Padna hai lekin college nahi jana. Mujhe us college mai nahi jana Nanu." Naina stammered, clutching her dupatta in her fist not looking at Nanu.

"Kuch problem hai kya beta?" Nanu asked as he could notice her changing expressions.

"Ku-Kuch bhi nahi Nanu." She replied in a low voice.

"Aapko aage padhai karni hai na Naina?" Nanu asked again at which she nodded her head in the way of yes.

"You can study at home by yourself, Naina. Apki umar bohut choti hai. I will make sure apko sari facilities mile padne ke liye. Don't worry apko college jaana nahi padega." Nanu spoke at which she nodded and mouthed a thank you with a smile on her face. Sameer had been informed by Nanu so he did not speak anything against or in support of Nanu's decision and gestured Naina to leave back to Mansion.

Naina was sitting on the balcony with a shawl wrapped around her body. All she could feel was her tender, fragile skin freezing due to the cold breeze that blew. She still loved the feeling and closed her eyes with a smile plastered on her face. "Enjoying winter." A hoarse voice broke her chain of thoughts, she tilted her head upwards to look at the towering figure and bobbed her head in the way of yes, and stood up quickly adjusting the shawl.

"Aap?" She mumbled.

"Zaruri baat karni hai aapse, if you have time." He spoke looking at the clear jet-black sky as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. Naina tried to read through his face but that was impossible as it was expressionless and cold as usual.

"I am free, in fact always free." She replied.

"Okay, so not beating around the bush let me make this very clear: I married you just for the sake of my parents' will. Maine apko dekha tak nahi tha I have no such feelings for you." He spoke in his gruff voice. Though he did not wish to say the last line, his heart made him do so as he did not want her to get him wrong. She looked at him for seconds then hung her head pursing her lips as she bobbed her head in a way of understanding. "I just care for my Nanu in this world. You are just a namesake wife. I feel nothing for you and will never feel anything for you. I understand that you have married me,  the reason which is unknown to me. You do your wifely duties, and if you don't want to do that henceforth it's okay. If there's anything which you want me to do or fulfill or wish your husband to do, feel free to tell me." Sameer spoke in his cold voice. His every word pierced her heart. Controlling her tears she looked at him for seconds. Although she did not expect him to love her still she felt bad. Like every girl, even she had dreamt of a loving and caring life partner.

"Do you love someone else?" She asked him. He glanced at her in utter disbelief. "No! I have never loved or even liked anyone. I don't believe in love and my sole purpose was just to clarify before you take me wrong. The only person whom I care, respect, and truly love in this world is Nanu. Do you love someone?"

"I used to but I don't love him anymore." She spoke as her voice broke remembering those moments. Sameer bobbed his head and left from there.

◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇

"Ma'am sir has called you in his cabin." A guard spoke and left. Naina went into the washroom and washed her face not wanting to let anybody, especially Sameer, know that she cried after he left. Wearing the only dupatta she had she went downstairs plastering a fake smile on her face. As she entered his cabin, she looked at a man sitting in front of Sameer. He was too handsome, not more than her husband. He got up seeing her and went towards her.

"Good evening, Queen." He said, holding her hand and placing a feathery kiss on the back of her palm. She smiled a bit and took her hand back hesitantly glancing at her husband. Sameer walked towards them and held Naina by her waist. "That was not needed." He replied in his gruff voice, laced with rage.

"Oh-Okay. Don't be so possessive. I did that just in respect. After all, she is your wife, the most beautiful lady I have ever seen." He said ogling over Naina. She shifted towards Sameer feeling uncomfortable by his words.

"Stop it, Rehman. She is my wife, just mine. Do you get that?" Sameer clenched his jaw in anger and gestured to Naina to sit next to him.

"Don't be scared, Queen. Mazak kar raha hu mai. I respect you." Rehman said, seeing her being hesitant and scared by him. Naina just nodded her head in a way of yes with a slight smile on her face trying not to make their first meeting awkward.

"He is Rehman, my business partner as well as a renowned Mafia." Sameer introduced Naina. She gulped in fear listening to him also being a mafia. She held Sameer's hand under the table but he jerked it off. Naina stared at him being perplexed while he kept talking with Rehman. She relaxed after some time as by listening to the talks she realized Rehman was not a bad person. "Tonight we will leave for Paris," Sameer spoke, making Naina look at him in shock.

"Why?" She asked but stopped seeing his icy blue orbs which held a blank expression.

"I have some work." He replied and left with Rehaan. Naina sighed as they left. She rested her head on the table drifting into sleep instantly.

◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇

Sameer held her hand tightly, jerking her from her sleep. She winced as he pulled her, staring at him with a confused face. He pulled her towards himself placed his hand on her neck and kissed her nape which made her stiffen. She tried pushing him away with whatever strength she had as she was not ready for such things, not at the moment at least. Sameer pushed her towards the wall and looked at her intensely as she heaved for breath.

"Kya hogaya hai aapko?" She questioned. Without replying to anything he dug again placing wet kisses against her neck making her shiver. She fisted his shirt and sobbed as she did not want him to touch her in this way, without her consent. She closed her eyes tight as flashes from her past started to haunt and loop in her brain. She tried pushing him but couldn't. She felt weak, suppressed against two rocks. She let out a scream as he bit her skin. Realizing what he was doing he stepped back, palming his face. "Look at me Naina!"

He spoke gruffly but she did not look at him. He trapped her little chin with his fingers and made her look at him. She opened her eyes which had turned red while she trembled like a dry leaf. "You cannot touch me like that." A tear rolled down her cheeks.

"Damn it!" Sameer murmured to himself for making her cry. He had gone mad over her as she let Rehman kiss her hand. His possessiveness overpowered his emotions that made him do all the things. She was just his, nobody had the right to touch her like that.

"Will you stop crying!" He said which was too loud that echoed in the room. She shivered to stiffen at her position. "Stop crying!" He screamed again, hitting his fist on the wall. She looked stiffening at her position staring at his bleeding hand in horror.

"Kh-Khoon" She murmured as her breath got heavier.

"Not again." Sameer cursed himself. He knew she had blood phobia as just a day before he had seen her acting crazy when she saw the blood spots on her face. She kept staring at his bleeding hand. Sameer pulled her into his embrace trying to distract her mind. She was just pushing him away but seeing him glare she stopped resisting. He made her sit on the chair and handed her a glass of water.

"Blo-." She murmured to herself clutching her head which seemed to be aching as her eyes were fixated on his bleeding hands. Sameer quickly took out his handkerchief and wound it around his hand.

"Naina relax," Sameer said, trying to calm her down. He wiped her tears with his thumb cursing himself for making her cry. He acted like a freaking idiot. She was nowhere at fault and he punished her this badly. He extended his arm to hold her arm but she moved away.

"Sorry," Sameer mumbled.

"Why did you behave like that? Y-You can't touch me without my permission." She said wounding her hands around herself.

"Mai nahi dekh sakta anyone kissing you. You are my wife. You could have stopped him but you didn't." Sameer replied.

"He kissed my hand before I could react to anything. I was at no fault then why did you behave like this with me?" Naina replied in between hiccups.

"Leave this matter and get ready, we need to go," Sameer spoke, getting back to his grumpy tone. She wiped her tears with the back of her palm and stared at him for a few seconds. She held his hand and caressed it softly. He did not feel pain, he was used to all these wounds but seeing her cry did make his heart flinch. He kept gazing at her, who touched his wound with a sad face.

◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇

Naina kept her clothes in a handbag along with her books which Nanu had given her. She looked at Sameer who just entered the room. He opened his closet and threw his clothes, muttering incoherent words. Naina looked at him in confusion and went towards him picking the shirt which he had thrown. She noticed the buttons of his shirt were broken. She took a small box of needles and thread from the closet.

"Naina mat karo, I will wear another shirt," Sameer said as Naina started sewing the button sitting on the bed.

"Agli baar button tutte toh galiya mat dijiyega. Just give it to me." She said as she giggled handing him the shirt. Her smile faded seeing his stern cold eyes.

"Aap haste kyu nahi ho?" She asked by pulling his arm. He buttoned up his shirt not replying to her. She pulled her lips into a sad pout.

"Aap baat bhi kyu nahi karte?" She asked again and still received no reply. He started packing his bag while she sat on the bed waiting for him to pack his bags.

"Chale?" He asked at which she nodded her head and followed him. Sameer took her bag and went into the elevator.

"Elevator atkega nahi na?" She asked him, making him chuckle but soon came back to his cold expressionless face.

"Aap hase kyu? Mai bol rahi hu agar yeh lift atki na toh mera problem nahi hai. Maine pehle hi apko warn kiya tha." She kept speaking. Sameer placed his hand on her shoulder and took her in the elevator while she frowned.

"Mai keh rahi hu yeh atkegi." She said trying to run out of the elevator but Sameer held her tight, wrapping his hands around her neck, back hugging her while she kept cribbing that the lift would be stuck.

"Atki?" Sameer asked her as he grinned, making her frown. She ran towards the car and got in, crossing her hands in front of her chest. The guards kept their bags in the car while Sameer sat next to her staring at his cute wife.

Sameer's v/o

I stared at my wife who was studying on the plane. She was so engrossed in studying that she did not even blink her eyes for a second. Nanu had told me that she was really good in her studies but had to drop out due to some reasons. She was scared of going to college. I had seen her trembling just by listening to the word 'college'. I knew something bad, a really bad memory is connected to her college. But, why shall I be concerned about all these things? Huh! She is making me crazy.

Her every action was making me fall for her but I did not want that to happen. I just don't want to make some soft-corner for anybody in my heart. I fear losing them, I fear going through that pain once again. I closed my eyes to shrug off my thoughts but I couldn't stop thinking about her. She was chewing the pencil as she thought of something and underlined important pointers. Her pinkish bubbly cheeks and naturally pink lips were too attractive which urged me to kiss her at that moment itself. She indeed had the most pretty eyes which could captivate any man's heart. But, she belonged just to me. I have known Rehman for the last ten years. I knew he respected women and last night's gesture was also as respect to The Queen of Mafia World, my wife. I knew he had no bad intentions and I had overreacted in anger. But, my blood boiled seeing him kiss her hand. She was just my wife, just mine to be cherished. I felt so angry at the moment thinking about that incident but it faded away instantly as Naina touched my hand and was leaning over me searching for something. Her face was close to me which she was unaware of as her eyes searched for something.

"Pani." She spoke as her eyes met mine shivering by my gaze and shifted towards her seat. I handed her a water bottle at which she mouthed a thank you.

V/o ends

"Apko pata hai yeh mera pehla safar hai flight mai. I never thought I would travel by airplane in my life." She spoke with a genuine smile along with cute antics. Sameer just looked at her with his usual cold face and she did expect this kind of behavior from him.

"Aap aise putle jaise kaise reh sakte ho? Bilkul bhi baat nahi karte aap?" She said giggling at her comment.

"Sorry." She mumbled as she received a look from Sameer.

"Gussail Mr.Maheshwari." She said against her breath. Sameer ordered food for them. Naina kept playing with her food, eating it at a slower speed while Sameer ate his food in a few minutes. "Mr. Maheshwari. Aap ka khana khakar hogaya?" She asked him, being surprised while he just looked at her coldly.

"Kya lagta hai?" He spoke, making her frown and eat her food.

◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇

"Mai bhi aau please?" She asked him by pulling his arm but soon moved back seeing his serious face. Sameer wore his blazer and adjusted his hair.

"I don't want to stay alone. Mujhe akele nahi rehna. Can I come along with you?" She asked him again.

"Stay in this mansion, is that clear to you? Har baar bakwas baat karna zaruri nahi hai. Ek baar mana kiya na maine. I am bearing your meaningless talks. This doesn't mean you will continue doing these shit talks." He said rudely and left. Naina fidgeted with her fingers with her eyes fixated on the floor biting the inner walls of her mouth to control herself from crying.

"Naina he is forcefully married to you. I must not do things that will get irritated. Aaj se, nahi abhi se I will never talk unnecessarily to him." Naina said to herself wiping her tears and getting back to her studies which was the only medium to distract her mind.
