Freddie Walker was sick of everyone's shit.

She was sick of people coming into her life and leaving, she was sick of being tormented by those beyond the grave, she was sick of getting detention, she was sick of homework, she was sick of that weird cereal her dad bought at the grocery store despite his claims that it was much nicer...did she mention that she was sick of being tormented by those beyond the grave?

Well, she was.

The wails and phantom cries of the damned were all she's ever known. No peace, no utter bliss, no silence, just constant, aggravating noise from those whose fate string was cut, leaving them deceased to this world.

It had always been like this, and would always remain the same. There was no pause button, there was no stopping or rewinding, Freddie was stuck. Stuck as the bridge between the dead and the living, stuck as a teenage girl with a freaky gift, just...stuck.

Freddie really didn't expect her life to get any worse, but when her father is called into work for a high-security, world-class emergency, the girl is left amongst a band of 'righteous' heroes with no idea how she fits into the grander scheme of things.
