Thank you @MOONSTXRSS for making the stunning new cover!

Also, you might be wondering what happened while Kaminari and Mina were watching Todoroki and you. So, we'll start this chapter off with a 'bonus' of what they got up to. Thank you all for reading :)

---

On this side of the wall, there were sinks as well, though the plates had been tidied away already. Kaminari's and Mina's grins only grew larger as they had a peek at Todoroki and you. As the sun hid behind the hills, stars began twinkling, but both of you focused on each other, paying no notice to Kaminari and Mina.

Mina gasped and placed her hand over Kaminari's mouth to muffle his laughs. She tried to push him out of the way to get a better look, but Kaminari stayed in his place. He fixed his gaze on both of you, unable to move as he saw Todoroki grow closer to you. "I can't believe my man Todoroki just asked (y/n) out. I should get a medal or something."

Both Kaminari and Mina took note of how Todoroki whispered something into your ear. Now that the blond thought about it, you never got so flustered by any of his compliments.

"Aw, shucks. I wonder what Todoroki said." Mina took a step back.

"Hey little mama lemme whisper something in your ear." Kaminari scratched his chin, not quite sure where he had heard that song before, nor how the rest of the lyrics went. "Bet, something along those lines."

"Anyways, keep quiet, Kaminari. We don't wanna ruin the moment."

"But I taught him to ask her to 'go out' in those exact words!" He put his palms up, letting Mina go in front of him so she could have a good look herself.

Mina punched the air. Seeing Todoroki kiss you delighted Mina, making her feel like a proud mum. "I wonder if that's their first time. They look, like, they're actually good at it. Not awkward at all."

"First time? What are they doing now?" Kaminari began swaying from side to side as his thoughts began to go south. He plopped down against the wall as he settled on a certain type of 'first'.

"First kiss, Kaminari! Their first kiss!" Mina whisper-shouted, grabbing Kaminari by his shoulders. But Kaminari was far gone while Mina tried to shake some sense into him, blood trickling down his nose as he stared into space.

"We'll pick up where we left off yesterday. Training starts now," Aizawa said. He narrowed his eyes scanning his various students as they scrambled to their respective positions.

[(y/n) (l/n) - Quirk: Vitality Transfer! She's bringing half-dead fish back to life, and then absorbing the life energy of trees in the forest! She's breaking past her limits in both ways!]

You kneeled on the ground and put your hands over the salmon you had caught a little while ago in the river. Your lips set in a grim line as you touched the slimy, loose scales while you poured your life energy into it. A droplet of sweat fell down your cheek as you whipped your head back to listen to The Pussycats introduction.

A shiver ran down your spine when the massive cat-man, Tiger, yelled out. "Dammit! All you kids with strength quirks, time for Tiger's boot camp!"

The forest darkened even though you and Midoriya were not far in at all. You eyed the dark green-haired boy by your side. "I-It's been a long time since I've talked to you," Midoriya managed to mumble as he frantically punched the air.

"Yeah, I guess we've both been quite busy, right?" You joined him, noticing how he seemed far more muscular than he was at the start of school. You looked down at your arms, acknowledging that you looked leaner, too. It still stunned you to see that Midoriya had improved so much in so little time, his dream of becoming the number one hero no longer a wild fantasy.

You only stopped punching and kicking the air when you heard Tiger's voice boom. "Show me what you've got!"

Emerald light flashed around Midoriya's fist as his arm glowed with fuchsia lines. You bent your knees slightly and put your arms in front of you, preparing to fight while Midoriya gave a Detroit Smash to Tiger. Even so, Tiger sent Midoriya flying back, causing him to slam his back against a tree.

"Now you! Yes, you! The one that stinks like rotten fish!" Tiger pointed at you with his large white paw. Had you not just given copious amounts of your life energy in your previous exercise, your punch would have been much stronger. But you still clenched your fist and swung your dominant arm at Tiger. He kicked you away, forcing you to land on your side with a thud, trapping your hand under your body in the process.

As you stood up, you rubbed your wrist. Ouch. That's definitely gonna leave a bruise.

Tiger shook his head at you and Midoriya in disappointment. "If you don't push yourself, you won't shred your muscle fibers, and then you won't get stronger!"

As the sky began to turn an orange hue, Aizawa called it a day. You carried the fish back to the river, minding your steps as you took your shoes off. The cold water surrounded your feet, as you stepped on the shore. A bright light shined from your hands as you poured some extra life energy into the fish you were holding. It opened and closed its mouth a few times, giving you the signal that it was ready for you to let it go.

"I'm sorry for using you today. Mr. Aizawa thought it would be a good idea." You bent your knees as you dipped your hands into the water, soon sighing in relief as the fish swam away.

---

The chatter from both your class and 1-B enveloped you as you placed a chopping board on the table. You held on to the knife, but winced when you put some pressure on it, a sharp pain shooting up your arm. As soon as you dropped the knife on the floor, Todoroki left the pot he was carrying and approached you.

Picking up the knife from the floor, you cursed under your breath. Maybe you shouldn't have attempted to chop vegetables after - most likely - spraining your wrist. But you chose to try and see how much you could do before asking to change your task, with the aim of pulling your weight within the team as much as you could.

"Hey, (y/n). Are you okay?" you straightened your back at the sound of Todoroki's distinct voice.

You looked up through your lashes and nodded, content to see him after a long day of training. "How about you?"

"Yes, though it's been an intense day so far." Todoroki pointed at your bruised wrist. "That looks like it hurts."

"Oh, yeah. Now that we stopped training and the adrenaline wore off, it sort of hurts."

Despite having your classmates around you, each carrying out their duties, Todoroki took hold of your hand with care. He brought your fingers close to his lips. "You don't have to down-play your problems to me, (y/n). I am your boyfriend now."

Something about the way the word 'boyfriend' rolled from his tongue stopped you from pulling away, reminding you to be gentle with him. You had decided to avoid any purposeless violence, which could lead to accidentally hitting him with your current strength. Additionally, you wanted to reassure him so that he felt comfortable if he wished to make a move.

You locked eyes with Todoroki. "Sho, I wouldn't do that if I were you."

The half-and-half boy grew closer to you, his footsteps soft and nearly silent. "Is that a challenge? It sure sounds like one."

You stood your ground, trying to be more assertive with him, but your voice broke as you spoke. "No, it's just embarrassing, and--"

Looking down at you to appreciate your expression, Todoroki placed a kiss on your fingers. While it made your cheeks warm up, it also brought a smile to your lips - one that Todoroki was proud to have caused. "I hope this helps," he said.

"It's a bit late now. I thoroughly washed my hands after it, but... did you know I spent half the day touching raw fish?"

Todoroki wrinkled his nose, holding back a laugh. "I suppose I shouldn't have interrupted you. I thought you were challenging me, and my mind went blank. I don't quite know when to give up."

"That's a funny way to put it. I'm sorry you had to go through that, though."

Todoroki shook his head. "Not at all, (y/n). By the way, I'm going to talk to Midoriya, but I should be back soon."

You nodded, your (e/c) eyes trailing after his tall silhouette, as he walked past the rest of your classmates. You brought your hand to your nose and sniffed your fingers. You almost burst out laughing on your own out of sheer relief that they didn't smell like fish. That would have been more than a little off-putting for Todoroki.

---

You leaned against the classroom's table next to Mina, whose eyes brightened before she asked, "(y/n), are you kinda close to Momo?"

Shaking your head, you admitted that you didn't know her all that well. "How come?" you asked.

"She looked kinda sad today."

You shrugged your shoulders, but then a glimpse of how her gaze softened as she spoke about Todoroki at the hot springs rushed through your mind. You tried to brush it off, as you reminded yourself that they were nothing but friends. Focusing on a more compassionate thought before joining in with the boys, you tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear. So, she is into Shoto? I'd feel bad if he went out with her instead of me, so I can understand where she's coming from.

Kaminari put on a tired face and looked around with a dead serious look in the eye. "Remedial class, you're not only here because you need to train hard, but also because you've got some catching up to do... blah blah blah..." Kaminari mimicked Mr. Aizawa, crossing his arms over his jumper.

You flinched when you felt someone's presence by the door. Quickly realising that in all odds Mr. Aizawa was there, you brought a finger to your lips. Kirishima, Mina, and Sero stopped laughing, soon getting the hint.

Nevertheless, Kaminari tilted his head to the side. "What, (y/n)? I know you scored better than all of us on the theory exams, but don't you think it's stupid that we're all missing out on the 'Test of Courage' exercise, too?"

Aizawa rolled his worn-out eyes as he slid the door open. "Yes, you have some catching up to do. Now, unless you want me to keep you up until later than two a.m., get your books out."

All of you dashed to your seats, despite the soreness of every muscle fiber in your body.

In some ways, you were lucky that you didn't need to use your injured hand to write. Still, the fact that Aizawa spotted it and told you to go to get it sorted by one of The Pussycats didn't quite play into your hands.

As you ran to the next building at the training camp, you stopped right on your tracks. Instead of being able to see the beautiful stars like last night with Todoroki, a thick smoke clouded the sky, which would not allow them to bear witness of what was to come.

Sensing a murderous presence nearby, you took a sharp breath in and turned around. Your eyes scanned for the inherent threat, but you couldn't pinpoint the location of who was emitting such dark aura.

You shut your eyes tightly to figure out that bloodthirsty presence.

However, two girls from class 1-B walked out of the woods, distracting you. One of them put her hand over her mouth as she said to the other, "That's (y/n) (l/n). You know, the girl you asked me to point out to you."

You shook your head, trying to keep your calm as both girls went inside the building. Analysing whether it would be best to stay and fight or leg it, you adjusted the cuffs of your sweater.

Those heavily lidded turquoise eyes followed you.

The tall lad leaned against a tree, muttering your surname a few times, until the memory flashed back into his brain, as though they were his blue flames.

Perhaps, he could give himself the pleasure of obliterating some of the (l/n) bloodline tonight. Though that wasn't in the League's plan, it would be a shame to let this opportunity go to waste as he didn't give a damn about them. Especially, given that your uncle's name ranked as a top target in Stain's books. At least, before the Hero Killer died. Dabi smirked as he noticed that Eraserhead was coming out to play, too.
