❝ this angel right here who's younger than me by a minute ( still refuses to admit that to this day ) is my sister to another mister that disappeared at sea, Cari Routledge. It's been us two against the world our whole lives, well until I met JJ and it was the three of us now. She's one of those people who complains about what's wrong with the world, but thankfully she can do that with Kiara now and Jj and I don't have to hear about it. Although, I think Jj likes hearing about it... and not 'cause he cares about turtles and their towel warmers. Whenever Jj and I would get in trouble she's always there to give us the mom talk and by mom talk I mean, are you crazy?! but hey, we love her. ❞

☄. *. ⋆ i. GROWING UP IN THE PARADISE ON EARTH, OUTER BANKS, made for a great childhood for Cari Routledge. It was always her and her brother John B, until he met Jj Maybank. Jj, John B and Cari quickly became a trio with an unbreakable bond. For Jj though, Cari Routledge had never just been his "best friend". From the moment they met, he knew he wanted her in his life forever, with her doe eyes and award winning smile, Jj would be glad he'd known her first.

☄. *. ⋆ ii. DURING THEIR CHILDHOOD, JOHN B ALWAYS felt a sense of responsibility for his sister to act as the father, which Cari despised. Since both parents were out of the picture, it was just two Pogues looking out for each other. Ever since her father and mother left, Cari had always had the mindset that it was her fault, anything and everything was. Anything that went wrong, she'd just blame herself, despite John B and JJ telling her otherwise.

☄. *. ⋆ iii. NOW AS TEENS, IT WAS NO LONGER JUST THE THREE OF THEM. The Pogues now consisted of John B, Cari, JJ, Kiara and Pope. Their mission this summer was to have a good time all the time. Well, until a hurricane hit her paradise on earth, then a day later the Pogues discover something beneath the ocean floor of the outer banks. A ship wreck that held more value than any of the teens could've expected.

As this dangerous mystery emerges from the ocean floors, the Pogues may find themselves differently then they were before, new people out on their own trying to find a lost treasure.
