❝ WHAT THE - NARNIA MY
FUCKING ASS. ❞

AH, SATURDAY MORNINGS. usually, people wake up to the sound of birds chirping, the early morning sun in their faces, or the smell of breakfast being made.

well, that wasn't the case in the young household.

reina and connor both awoke to loud shouts. reina abruptly sat up in alarm, looking over at connor who was rubbing his eyes. the two fell asleep on the couch last night, but she didn't have time to think about that.

she removed the blankets off of her and rushed to eddie's room, where the shouts were coming from. connor followed after her, the two opening the door to find katrina threatening to hit eddie with his own controller.

reina's jaw dropped. there's something you don't see everyday...

katrina glanced at the two before looking between all three of them. "someone better tell me what the fuck is going on!"

"you broke my ear!" eddie exclaimed, holding his ear in pain.

"wrong answer!" she shouted, hitting him again, making eddie yell in pain.

"please! stop it!"

reina winced, and connor hid behind her in mild fear. "oh fuck that," he shook his head.

katrina turned around and grabbed a book off of eddie's desk and held it up, ready to hit him again. this time, reina also held her hands out, standing in the middle of her and eddie. "woah, woah, woah! don't!"

katrina looked at reina, slightly lowering the book down. reina could tell she was just scared and confused, and honestly, who could blame her?

"okay, well, that's eddie, connor," she gestured to the two boys before pointing to herself. "i'm reina, we all go to your school-"

"and you're in my room-"

she looked behind reina towards eddie. "where are my fucking clothes?!"

"in the wash!" he answered quickly, still holding his hands up in defence.

"we took care of you last night!" connor added.

"please stop hurting me!" eddie pleaded.

katrina fully lowered the book down, turning to reina who nodded. "it's true, we did."

"why are my clothes in the wash..?" she asked, calming down.

the three all shared a hesitant look. eddie sighed, "listen, there was an incident..."

after shortly explaining everything that happened last night, reina could tell katrina was going through war flashbacks. the poor girl was in disbelief and was extremely embarrassed.

she slapped both hands around her mouth in utter shock, her eyes eyes wide.

"no, no, no! it's not a big deal it's okay-"

katrina abruptly made her way out of the room quickly. when she was about to leave the room, connor thought she was going to hit him with another object and covered his head, moving out of the way whilst she went past.

eddie flopped back down on the beanbag and sighed, still holding his painful ear.

reina shook her head. "i'm gonna go check up on her."

leaving the room, she found katrina by eddie's front door, clearly upset. the curly haired girl made herself known, getting the spare key his family hid inside the hallway flowerpot. "here, let me open this for you."

opening the front door, katrina quietly thanked her before leaving, getting her phone out to get an uber home.

just as katrina waited outside, she felt a light tap on her shoulder. she turned around to see reina there, holding out a bottle of water for her and some painkillers, in case she had any headaches considering last night.

she took it gratefully, giving the younger girl a small, brief smile. "thanks... reina, was it?"

"you're welcome, and yes, it is," she replied politely, yawning.

there was a moment of awkward silence between them, until reina decided to break it. "sorry about uh, everything, last night. it was so hectic i don't even think i've processed it myself," she cleared her throat, getting abrupt flashbacks to her and connor's little make out session last night. "it must've been scary to wake up like how you did."

"yeah... um, sorry about that - all the shouting and hitting your friend."

reina waved her off. "nah it's fine, i would've done the same thing. those two dumb fucks didn't listen to me when i said to just drop you to your house after," she yawned again. "but nooo, they were too tired."

katrina let out a quiet laugh.

it fell silent again, but it wasn't as awkward as before. soon enough, her uber came and stopped right in front of them. "uber for katrina?"

reina's eyes widened. "adam?! no way!"

adam smiled. "oh, reina! hey kiddo."

she laughed, and katrina looked at her with furrowed brows. "you know him?"

reina nodded. "friend of mine."

just before katrina was about to go inside the car, she turned back to reina. "thank you."

"of course," reina smiled, waving them off as adam honked twice as a way to say goodbye.

heading back inside, she was greeted with eddie in the kitchen, holding up a packet of frozen peas by his ear. "is she gone?"

"yeah. where's con?"

"he fell back asleep in the guest room."

reina nodded, walking away.

"hey, where you going?"

she continued walking. "to narnia."

eddie didn't even bother to respond to her blatant sarcasm. you see, reina wasn't a morning person. especially when she was woken up so overwhelmingly.

an hour or so later, eddie knocked on the door of his guest bedroom. "connor, dude, wake up, i'm ordering breakfast-"

opening the door, he had to do a double take.

"what the - narnia my fucking ass!" he whisper shouted.

he put his hands on his hips, looking reina who was practically like a koala - cuddling into connor's side with his arm around her too, both sleeping yet again.

eddie took a picture of them before pocketing his phone. "oh, hell no - you two got some fuckin explaining to do later," he said, narrowing his eyes at them before leaving, even though he knew they couldn't hear him.

REINA WAS GOING TO MURDER SOMEONE. this was the second time in a row that she was woken up against her own will - and even worse, it was the middle of the night.

reina lazily reached for her phone and answered. "con why the fuck are you-"

"rei, rei, listen, alright, i had a dream that we were in eddie's kitchen and we sat together and i was rambling about you and then-"

"we kissed? yes, con."

"you had the same dream?!"

reina sighed. "no, dumbass, that actually happened." 

"oh, so me asking you to be my girlfriend yesterday wasn't a dream either?"

reina yawned. "no, con, it was all real - but you won't have a girlfriend anymore if you call me again in the middle of the fucking night!"

"ok, ok, i get it," he smiled. "my gorgeous, funny girlfriend needs her beauty sleep-"

"literally go die."

"aww, love you too, rei," connor laughed. "goodnight."

"mhm. goodnight."
