There he stood, confident in the door way. His posture was straight and formal and his hands rested behind his back. His robes were of a brownish red and the colour of his skin was a delicate orange. Calmly, he walked over to the senator and the father who were conversing in the corner of the room as Catelle watched him in awe.

"Master Plo Koon!" Bail addressed the Kel Dor as he smiled at him in a jovial manner. "It has been too long."

"Yes, Senator. Indeed it has." Master Plo spoke with sincere tone as he examined the room, his eyes resting on young Catelle.

"Ah, yes." The Senator lead the Jedi over to the youngling stood in the centre of the room, followed closely behind by Kol. "This, my friend, is young Catelle Vereya. The force sensitive my wife referred to."

Plo looked down at the little human girl stood in front of him and she looked up at him. The Jedi examined the girl with a paternal eye, assessing her strength through the force as he sensed a feeling of fear rising in her and knelt down to her level, placing a hand on her shoulder. Catelle smiled slightly as Master Plo felt her nerves dissipate, returning the smile.

"Hello, little Catelle. I am Master Plo Koon. I've heard many things about you." His tonality was heart warming and sent a wave of peacefulness over the youngling.

"You have?" Catelle asked politely, tilting her head as she spoke.

"Yes, I have. You can move things around, can't you? Without the need to touch them? Like me?" The Jedi Master spotted a flower pot resting on a table in a different corner of the room. He focused all his energy on a white rose inside the vase and levitated it over to him. When it reached his grasp he handed it over to Catelle, who in return squealed from a jolt of happiness. "To match the flowers in your hair."

"Yes! Exactly like that, Mister Plo sir. Thank you for the pretty flower!" She tucked the flower behind her hair and wrapped her coat around her, her smile returning and her worry briefly melting away.

Plo Koon let out a quiet chuckle at the girls joy, "You're welcome, little one. I am going to talk to your parents briefly, I won't be a moment." The child nodded as the Master Jedi walked over to the adults in the room.

"So?" Kol asked impatiently, he had been on edge since the man from Coruscant had arrived and had hardly been able to keep his thoughts to himself.

"The youngling is strong with the force, that much I know," Master Plo responded to the anxious father with a comforting voice, "She would be safer on Coruscant than here."

"What do you advise, Master Jedi?" Rhielle asked with a hint of sadness laced in her voice.

"I advise that she returns to Coruscant with me, she'll be trained in the ways of the Jedi and will be under my watchful eye. I'm sure you already assumed this." He looked around her parents, the Senator and the Queen. Each of them had a look of concern in their eye for Catelle's future.

"Yes, we guessed that would be the result of this visit." Breha stated softly in an attempt to comfort the worried parents.

"Then I assume that Catelle is prepared to leave if she needs to?" Koon again asked in a polite manner with the same attempt of comfort.

Kol and Rhielle nodded solemnly, glancing over at their daughter who had resorted to intertwining the rose into her bronze brown hair. They smiled fondly at her as she seeped in the last remnants of a simple childhood. The pair then looked at each other, knowing that they have to say goodbye to their daughter in near time. Master Plo returned to Catelle as he said her would, kneeling down in front of her once more.

"Little one? How would you like to return to the Jedi Temple with me?" He questioned in a gentle manner, feeling her strong force presence once more.

"On Coruscant?" Little Catelle glanced over at her parents, seeing on their faces that the decision had already been made for her, "Will my parents be okay?"

The Jedi's expression softened, "Of course they will. And I promise that you will be okay too." He placed both his hands on her shoulders as the young girl shook in fear.

"Okay, I will come to Coruscant with you, Mister Jedi Sir." Catelle nodded shakily as Plo Koon stood up from his position. He stepped slightly to the side to allow the child to run up to her parents, wrapping her arms around their waists and pulling them into a tight hug. Kol and Rhielle almost instantly returned the hug, the mother rubbed circles on the girl's back as the father gently messed with her plaits. The family stayed like this for what seemed like an eternity but no matter how long they embraced, no time would be just enough for them. None of them were ready to say goodbye and with the added uncertainty of how long they would be saying goodbye for this action became even more difficult than it already was. Rhielle knelt down after the embrace had loosened and wiped the tears from her daughter's cheek as her own tears remained to fall.

"You're so brave, my little angel. So very brave." The woman knelt there partly lost for words, the perfect ones just couldn't seem to form.

"And we love you. So dearly, my darling." Slowly, Kol joined his wife in the kneel. He put a gentle arm around her, choking back his own tears.

"I love you too, Momma and Papa." Catelle managed to form words through brief sniffles and sobs as she looked at her parents with a saddened expression.

Glancing at each other briefly, the couple stood up from their position and took one of their daughter's hands into their own. Rhielle held the right and Kol held the left. Equal anxiousness filled the family as the began towards the door, followed closely by Breha, Bail and finally Master Plo Koon.

It did not take long to reach the transport that was situated outside the palace walls, much to the Vereya's dismay. There appeared to be two guards and a pilot on board the ship that brought the Jedi to Alderaan, which meant that at least the journey wouldn't be so overwhelming for the youngling. Little Catelle looked up at the beautiful blue sky and took a deep breath of the crisp, cold air realising that such fresh air most likely did not exist on Coruscant. Plo Koon headed towards the ship to prepare for take off which allowed Catelle to say her final farewells to her parents. She was stood slightly in front of them as she turned around to look up at them with tears forming along her water line.

"What if I forget you?" Was the only words that she was able to murmur, her family had always meant the world to her and she always wanted to remember the happy memories that they had together. Sledging in the mountains, running amuck in the forests, playing around at the occasional sandy river bed. All these memories were precious to the girl and forgetting them would be like losing a deep rooted part of her.

Rhielle simply smiled sadly at her as she whispered a response. "If you ever need to remember us, look for the brightest star in the sky and look beyond that. Beyond the stars, and you'll feel us there. Stay safe, my little comet, and don't give into fear."

"It is time to go," A voice echoed from the ship. Catelle looked back and saw the Jedi calling from the ramp, "It's time, little one."

The young girl nodded as she hugged her mother and father one final time, taking in every single moment before stepping back and slowly walking towards the ship. Behind her she could hear murmurs of cries and gratitude from her parents but she couldn't focus on that. All she could focus on was how every step she took was taking her further away from home, every glance back would remind her of what she left behind and every muffled cry would remind of who she is leaving behind. As she approached the ship, Plo guided her inside with a gentle touch as she sat down on one of the benches that lined the transport. Catelle didn't dare look back at her fearful parents, her mother told her to not give into fear and that is what she did. As the hangar doors closed with a small whoosh, the child placed her head in her hands as she felt the ship lift from the ground.

This was really happening. She was leaving everything she had ever known. All that was familiar is gone.

After a minute or two, Koon occupied the seat next to young Vereya as she looked up at him. At least he wasn't a total stranger. He was going to take care of her, he promised he would.

"It is going to be alright, little one. The temple is a friendly place, there are many other younglings just like you there." He spoke, trying to inflict words of comfort.

Catelle simply nodded, knowing that if she opened her mouth nothing but tears and sadness would pour out. Plo nodded and stood up, slowly walking over to the cockpit. Out of pure curiosity, Catelle decided to follow closely behind him as to get a better look at what was outside. As she gazed outside, her jaw dropped. Never had she seen so many stars in her life. Space. Space was beautiful, more beautiful than any flower, tree, leaf, berry or river that the child had ever seen. As they flew away from the planet that she had known, the pilot spoke up.

"Entering hyperspace in 3, 2, 1."

As the female pilot pulled down on the hyperspace lever, her surroundings were no longer filled with stars but instead white, blue, grey and black swishes of light all merging to create a tunnel of colours that encompassed the ship as the transport carried young Catelle away from Alderaan.

Away from home.
