Lorelai was asked to stay and watch over Diana. Lorelai, who Lilith came to learn was Ryker's sister, and Ryker both insisted that she stay with the Cullens in case whoever made a deal with the Bailey parents doesn't try to come and collect their end of the bargain anyway. The idea of a vampire-witch hybrid baby was apparently too good of an opportunity to pass up to some people and they would do anything they could to get their hands on Diana once they knew of her existence.

The witch placed another border around the Cullen home; and while it was amazing to watch from the perspective of a vampire instead of a witch, it was a little disheartening to feel closed in again while believing that becoming a vampire would help set her free. The Cullens had gotten used to being caged in by that point, and welcomed Lorelei's magic considering she had endless amounts of it and would be able to help out also while Lilith learnt to control her new abilities.

Lorelei mainly kept to herself a lot. She was like her brother in ways that most siblings were, but she still had that softness to her that Lilith had to dig extremely far to see in Ryker. But that didn't mean it was mistaken for weakness as she was still so incredibly powerful like her brother—Lilith could feel her power practically radiating off of her even as a vampire. But, despite that, Lilith felt comforted around her. She felt like she could trust her and believe that she was there to actually help them.

There was even a part of Lilith that felt familiar with Lorelei as if she had seen her somewhere before but she couldn't quite pinpoint where. She had never actually seen Lorelei before that day with her parents; Ryker had only ever mentioned her once to Lilith in her dreams, and there were no records of her existence anywhere from when she was researching the high priest.

It was quite frustrating because Lilith knew she had seen something of Lorelei before but the fact that she couldn't put her finger on it was driving her crazy. Her mind had a million thoughts clouding her mind, and she would eventually figure it out however.

"You okay there, darling?" She heard the smooth and velvety voice that belonged to Lorelai ask.

Lilith turned to face her before looking back out onto the mountains, "Yeah, I'm just having a moment to myself to process everything that just happened." She half frowned, "It's just... I didn't think it would end that way." She always knew she was going to leave her parents eventually. They were going to part ways if and whenever Lilith met her life partner or they ultimately died from old age—but, she didn't think it would end the way that it just did; in a big old mess of betrayal and burnt bridges. Her parents were supposed to love her and look after her, but they ended up being her own worst enemy. They came after her daughter; their own granddaughter.

"Well, I don't mean to pry, but, I guess the only thing you can really do now is reflect and learn from this." Lorelei said wisely, "And make sure that you don't repeat the same actions your parents did."

"They are no longer my parents." Lilith responded darkly, "And I could never do something like that to her."

The witch smiled, "I know." She said back, "The way you went after your own blood to protect Diana from them shows you wouldn't. You went against everyone in your life—including my brother and your husband—to protect her and she wasn't even born yet. That's not a person who could betray their child."

"People change, remember?" Lilith reminded her, "I mean why else would they do that to me?" She was sure they had to of loved her as their daughter at one point in their lives, she didn't know how she would be able to handle knowing that they didn't at all.

"I'm afraid that dark witches hold no loyalty or love to anyone besides their own agendas." Lorelei informed her, "And I hate to say this, but... I think that they were always dark."

"But, I thought dark witches are loyal to Ryker. Or was I lied to about that too?" Her face scrunched. She was questioning everything she had ever been told at that point and she wasn't sure about a lot of things that she had been told anymore.

"Yes and no." Lorelei chuckled lightly, "They can be loyal to him if their agenda matches up with his, but, because Oliver and Sierra wanted to overthrow him and gain his power, they wouldn't worship him the same way."

Lilith frowned. She could see her mother doing something like that, but her father was a complete slap in the face. She always believed she and Oliver were so close and to find out that he was apart of this complete scheme to use her just didn't sit right with her. She wanted to know what started her parents on this journey for power and what drove them to complete desperation to the point of having to use a child as a part of their plan. It just didn't make sense, and neither did the whole dark witch thing.

Lilith always saw it as black and white, but, after everything she had been through and witnessed over the last few years she could see that their was a lot of grey areas that she found herself in. Ryker was one of those grey areas. Everyone made him out to be some horrible being but after interacting with him she could see that there was a lot of good in Ryker—but, there was a lot of darkness in her than she thought. She had never gotten to the point of becoming animalistic and trying to physically attack someone, and it just showed how much Oliver and Sierra had pushed her past her breaking point.

"So, what now?" She questioned her again, "Do we just sit here and wait?" It didn't sit right with her to run and hide, or force Diana to live in fear that one day someone might come after her.

"I don't want to discourage you, but, yes." She answered and Lilith's shoulders slumped, "However,  this will be over much sooner than you'd expect and you will be ready for it."

"How do you know I'll be strong enough? What if I'm not?" She whispered. While she was an newborn, she was second guessing her abilities and her strength. She had never gone up against anyone as a vampires; or witches, who—if they were experienced enough—could take her down in a blink.

Lorelei smiled, recognising that she had not figured out her true abilities and strength, "You are much stronger than you think you are; physically, mentally, emotionally and ability wise, Lilith. You just haven't realised it yet." She concluded before stranding up and walking away to do a perimeter check, leaving Lilith sitting there wondering what she meant.

Later that night, Lilith let out a puff of air as she walked into the bedroom that she shared with Edward in their private cottage after putting Diana to bed, seeing her husband already laying on top of the large bed, "How was she?" Edward asked her.

"Fussy." She answered as she climbed onto the bed, "I think she purposely acts better when it's your turn to put her to bed. I had to read her like five princess stories before she eventually fell asleep."

They had decided to take turns in putting her to bed, and she was a lot more easier to handle when it was Edward's turn. Lilith tried to brush it off as coincidence but after tonight, she knew her child was up to something.

Edward smirked, "She's finally becoming a daddy's girl." He responded cockily, causing Lilith to give him a light slap on the shoulder—the older vampire grunting out from her strength.

"Only because you spoil her the most." She retorted, "I thought I was bad but you're much worse." Lilith commented as she snuggled into Edward's chest, her husband wrapping his arms around her while they cuddled on top of their bed.

"Because she's my baby and I wanna make her happy." Edward grinned, pressing a kiss to Lilith's head, "And in saying that, I hope she stays in her princess phase for a little while longer and I mean for a very long time."

With Diana's exceeded growth, she was going through the stages of her life much faster than Edward would've liked. He wanted to be able enjoy the moments from her early childhood before she moved on to her early teens where she would eventually experience things that were out of his comfort zone.

Edward wasn't sure how he would respond to hearing that his daughter was going out with and liking boys, or getting her heart broken—and if she were to look like how she did in Lilith's vision, he knew he was going to have some trouble. Diana looked like Lilith in many ways and that worried Edward because she had lots of people that were interested in her when they were in school; thankfully none of them had the courage to act on their thoughts or emotions once they saw that he was around Lilith constantly. But, if Diana were to be anything like Lilith—which was a given—he would have to keep an eye out for her and make sure that no one was causing her any strife.

Lilith let out a hum, "Yeah, I guess I'm kind of relieved that we won't have to worry about too much trouble from boys when she's older since she'll have someone meant for her... but, I hope that it doesn't come too soon." She agreed. She also didn't enjoy the fact that her daughter was growing up too quickly. Lilith was only just getting a hang of the 'terrible twos', and she knew it was going to be a rumble to get a hang of things when it comes to Diana's future—like her hormones and even the possibility of she were to gain her magic.

She wondered if Sam and Emily's future son would be able to handle staying by Diana's side as they grew up together and went through changes, and she wondered if Diana would be there for their son too when she would eventually phase himself. There were so many possibilities when it came to the future from just that small snippet that she saw of them in the future and she was excited yet nervous to see what the future held for her new family. While she had to let go of her old family, she had a new one; one that loved her so incredibly much and stood by her through pretty much everything; one that gave her the world and so much more. It was saddening to have to seperate herself from her parents in order to move on in her life, but she was so grateful that the other side looked so bright in comparison from what she used to have.

Lilith smiled into Edward's chest, "I'm really glad we had her." She whispered. Deciding whether to keep going with the pregnancy or to terminate it was traumatic and she was so glad she had stuck to her guns and went against everyone because now she had Diana who meant the world to her. She couldn't see herself and Edward without her now, the picture seemed incomplete and she would do everything in her power to make sure that picture stayed complete.

"Me, too." Edward murmured as he ran a hand up and down Lilith's back soothingly. His family meant the world to him also, and his two girls were everything to him. His heart was so incredibly full with them in his life and he was so protective of that. When he heard that there was a threat against Diana, his rage nearly took over—and he nearly let it out if it weren't for the fact that he had to hold back his wife from losing control of herself.

She had been fairly restrained as a vampire up until that point, and none of the Cullens held it against her for losing control when she did or how she did. They understood that they tried to hurt someone she loved and cared about deeply; and since vampires are naturally very protective and territorial beings, a threat against something they see as their own would send them crazy. But, even if Lilith lost control for that small amount of time, Edward had never been so proud of her. His wife had completely flourished as a vampire, and had come such a long way from when he met that introverted sassy girl in his biology class all of those years ago. She was a mother now—the mother of his child—a child that she nearly died to have, and she was a protector; not just for Diana, but for all of the people she cared about.

"You're thinking really hard over there." He heard Lilith say, snapping him out of his thoughts as he looked down to see her smirking up at him teasingly with her golden eyes, her chin resting on his chest comfortably.

His head cocked to the side in confusion before shaking his head, "I was just thinking about how much I love you," He told her, causing her to roll her eyes at his smooth talk, "I'm being serious. There's no one on this earth that I love more than you."

"Not even Diana?" Lilith questioned and Edward froze making her chuckle, "Thought so." She added with a smirk before turning her head again to rest it comfortably on Edward's chest once again.

She never thought she would have to compete against her daughter for the top spot in Edward's heart, but either way it made her non-beating heart soar at the thought.

They had definitely come a long way from when he was against the idea of having a child because he thought it was going to kill her to loving their child so endlessly. Maybe they would finally get the happily ever after that they deserve; the happily ever after that they had been fighting for. Of course, with Diana being the princess that everyone believes her to be.

With the thought of her daughter, Lilith then let out a muffled laugh as she remembered something else about her that she found so adoring and amusing, "You know Rose calls her Rosabella?"

Diana only ever responded to Rose when she called her by her middle name, and only with Rosalie—with the exception of Emmett. No one else could call her that since it was an aunt Rose and Diana thing, but the thought of it made Lilith chuckle since she knew that Rosalie definitely had something to do with it. Rose beamed when she found out that Lilith was thinking of naming her child after her and Bella, so of course she would want to make sure everyone knew it—especially Edward who could hear her thoughts screaming out with excitement.

He was so grateful that Rosalie and Lilith got along from the start; even though him and Rose didn't exactly have a good relationship, Lilith helped bring them together and helped mellow their butting personalities, which was another thing that Edward loved about Lilith; she helped bring him closer to his siblings and bring his family closer together than they have ever been and he could never be more thankful for it. She and Diana were their missing puzzle pieces.

Edward only chuckled back, "Of course she does."
