Lilith was too calm. Her body was too still that it was alarming. It was as if the venom wasn't doing anything and she was actually dead—if it wasn't for Edward's super heightened hearing, he would've believed she was because he wouldn't be able to hear the venom spreading through her body as she transformed into a vampire.

"She shouldn't be this still." Edward muttered to his father as he watched Alice and Rosalie clean Lilith up in hopes for her to wake up soon while Bella looked after Diana, who was surprisingly calm throughout the entire thing. Edward had looked into her mind as to why she was so calm, but, he could see that Diana knew that Lilith was coming back, and that was why she was so calm and wasn't crying and fussing like he had expected her to be without her mother.

Rosalie and Alice had to wipe off all of the dried up blood on Lilith's body in the meantime from the bite marks and cuts, along with brush her hair and put her into clean clothes. They new it wasn't a fun experience to wake up in the same way they before they had turned and they thought it was best to make her feel fresh when she did.

"It's the morphine." Carlisle informed him, placing a hand on Edward's shoulder.

"Maybe I was too late." He scoffed at himself. He should've been paying attention to her, instead he had been so captivated by Diana that he didn't even realise her heartbeat getting weaker and weaker with every passing moment.

"No, Edward. You weren't." Carlisle disagreed. When a vampire is away from their mate; by distance or death; the mates are in extreme agony and suffering during that time by cause of heartbreak. It was what was happening to Lilith and Edward when they separated, but, it wasn't what was happening to them now.

Edward fully believed that it was Diana that was keeping him sane when his wife was practically dead in front of him, but, it was because Lilith wasn't completely dead yet.

Carlisle then left the room, leaving Edward by himself as he watched over his wife who was laying down on the surgery table waiting for her to wake up.

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do now without these talks." Lilith admitted, standing in front of Ryker. Her body no longer writhing in pain and she could stand on her on two feet without his assistance, "You got me through a lot of things when my own parents didn't even help me."

"Lilith, I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet." Ryker suggested and Lilith's eyebrow raised at him considering that he had a thing out for them the entire time she had known him but now he was defending them, "I'm sure they have their reasons for what they did."

"Well it better be a seriously good reason as to why they wouldn't help defend my own daughter from being killed." She grit her teeth.

She heard Ryker sigh before he stood in front of her and placed his hands on both of her shoulders, "I will look into it for you and see what I can find."

Lilith halted, she had completely forgotten that she wouldn't be able to track them down with a locator spell anymore because she had no magic. She had given them up and she wouldn't know how to find them any other way. Ryker was her only hope at that point and hopefully he could find out why they left along with where they went. She nodded her head, "Thank you." She told him and he only smiled at her, her not noticing the fact that her brown eyes were slowly beginning to have the redness swirling and consuming the brown colour in her eyes.

"It's time you went home, Lilith." The high priest said to her, "There's a lot of people waiting back there for you." Her eyes softened and she pulled him into a hug, catching him by surprise before he awkwardly hugged her back; having not expected her to do such a thing, "I'll be in touch, this won't be the last time you ever hear from me."

"Good." Lilith exhaled before letting go of him and waving, him waving back before the room blurred away from her vision once again.

Edward had sat down on a chair nearby, patiently waiting for anything to happen to Lilith. Once he noticed the smallest change, he instantly shot up out of his seat and began to walk closer towards her to get a closer look. Her body was filling out, repairing what she had been going through during her pregnancy while healing the bite marks he had left on her skin. Her hair then began to brighten in colour and have its life and vibrance brought back to it. The dead blonde parts now healthy and wavy like it once was.

He listened in, hearing her bones being brought back together along with her muscles and everything else that had been broken and had trauma. He watched as the sunken parts of her face disappeared, her skin pale and porcelain like his own and her pale lips turning to a rosy colour. He could only take small tiny steps towards her until she opened her eyes, her brown coloured orbs now a bright red colour.

It took a moment for Lilith to register that she was actually awake and she wasn't in her dream reality anymore with Ryker. Every time her eyes looked somewhere, it completely zoomed in and focused on the smallest things.

The girl sat up, noticing how different she felt in her own body than what she thought she was going to feel and began to look around.

She could see the dust particles in the air that was floating around and reflecting the sunlight off of them, she could see the condensation dripping off some of the vases by the window and she could even see the material that the artwork on the wall far away was made of. Her eyes looked at the rug, seeing the small bits and pieces of the fabric before she looked up, her eyes seeing a blurred figure in the corner of her eye. Lilith snapped her head back to look at it and her eyes focused directly on Edward.

He looked amazing; she always thought he looked amazing, but, there was something about him now that just looked so much more captivating and desirable than ever. She could see him much more clearly and everything about him just invited her towards him. She looked down at him further seeing that he was holding his hand out for her to take, she went to move to hold her arm out before her eyes widened as she looked at her hands, rubbing her fingers together and spreading her hand out as she inspected it.

Lilith shrugged the surprise off of her before she brushed her hands against his, reaching further up her arms and feeling how much different he felt against her hands. Her mind felt as if it was overstimulating when Edward brushed his own hand against her skin, gently resting his hands against her face, to which she couldn't help but lean into further.

"So beautiful." He whispered, her red eyes looking up into his golden ones. He smiled to himself before saying, "We're the same temperature now." Lilith only rolled her eyes at him with a smile, of course he would mention that out of all things, "Come. I want to show you something." He says grabbing onto her hand before leading her over towards the mirror. Lilith looked over at herself, seeing the flowy dress that Rosalie must of put her in and looking up towards her face and being slightly taken back by the brightness of her eyes. She felt like she wasn't even in her own body from how different she felt and looked. She then looked over at Edward, who was staring at her adoringly, "How do you feel?" Edward asked her as he snaked his arms around her from behind and pushed her body against his, nestling his face in her neck.

"Like a weight has been lifted off of my chest." She finally spoke, her eyes widening at how she felt that her voice had even changed. It sounded more velvety and smooth compared to how she thought she sounded as a human. But, she felt free. Ever since she found out that there was a high chance of her becoming her worst nightmare, it felt as if ever step she took was being held by thousands of weights and every thought she made, she feared would end up leading towards becoming a dark witch; but now as a vampire, she didn't have to feel that way.

While she was slightly sad she had lost her connection to Ryker—who had surprisingly become like a rock to her throughout everything—it felt good to be able to be able to do things freely without having to worry about consequences of magic use.

She was thankful that Edward was the one to be able to give that to her. He set her free from the chains that was her old life. She hadn't even realised how draining it had been until she had woken up as a vampire.

Lilith only turned around, their faces practically touching before she reached up and pulled Edward towards her, hearing Edward let out a grunt as she did so.

"Hey, Lilith..." She heard him gasp as she continued to hold onto him, just glad that he was okay after everything, "You're a lot stronger than I am right now." Lilith made a face before she awkwardly let go of her husband, hearing him grunt from the release. He looked down at her seeing the apologetic look on her face causing him to chuckle, "It's your turn not to break me." He teased to which Lilith bit her lip cheekily and pushed Edward's body towards hers.

Edward smiled at her, "I love you." Lilith said in a soft voice.

"I love you." Edward said back as he leaned down and pulled his wife into a deep and loving kiss, once that Lilith didn't hesitate in returning as she wrapped her arms up around his neck, making sure to be gentle as she had no idea of her own strength yet. Edward pulled away, his hands holding onto her face again gently, "I missed you so much, baby. You really had me worried." Edward murmured as he pressed a kiss to her lips.

"Baby." Lilith hummed, "That's a new one." While most people had nicknames for her, Edward and herself were never really the type to give each other pet names. But now that Edward had called her that, she quite liked it and felt like she had been missing out for all those years. "I like it." Edward smiled and made a mental note to continue to call her that before leaning back in to kiss her again. God, he missed kissing her. Lilith let out a small gasp and pulled away, "Diana?" She questioned. She couldn't believe that she hadn't thought about her sooner, she felt horrible that she was already being forgetful about her own daughter and if she was okay or not.

Edward chuckled, "She's incredible." He told her, trying to put her mind at ease knowing that she was distracted by her change that Diana wouldn't of been the first thing on her mind even if she wanted her to be.

Lilith's red eyes softened, "She is?" She cooed as she thought about the beauty that was her daughter, "Where is she? I have to see her." She turned around to walk towards the door, instantly wanting to be around Diana without hesitation.

"Wait, wait." Edward grabbed onto her arm, stopping her from getting any further. Lilith turned to face her husband, looking confused as to why Edward wouldn't let her be around their daughter at that moment, "You need to get your thirst under control." At the mention of her thirst, it was like it had truly hit her out of no where. She felt herself gulping and let out a moan, her hand going to her throat from how dry and painful it felt like she hadn't drank anything for weeks, "Yeah, you need to hunt." Edward realised, seeing as it was slightly worse than what he hoped as Lilith continued to struggle against her want for blood.

The two instantly shot out of the house and into the forrest behind it, Lilith giggling with glee as she raced Edward who was slightly struggling to keep up with her in that moment.

She gasped as everything seemed to slow down, even with her speed she was able to see everything as clear as day. She could see the birds flying away, the spider web that was miles away and even the flowers blooming, but her smile widened when Edward began to catch up with her and was running by her side, and eventually made his way in front of her.

The small competitive side of her began to make its presence known as she pushed her legs harder, pushing herself in front of Edward as she turned around with a smirk plastered over herself, giggling as Edward chased after her.

With her new vision and hearing, she was able to make it known that there was a waterfall coming up and the girl instantly kept running, jumping off of it and aiming towards the ground down below, landing on her feet and continuing to run while Edward followed after her with a smile on his face as he watched his wife enjoy the advantages of vampirism.

The two continued running upside the mountain next to them, letting out happy and excited cheers and chasing after one another as if they were children. Lilith just felt so free and if she was reborn and Edward was happy for her.

Eventually Edward stopped running and caught Lilith before she ran into him; the girl had been so distracted by her surroundings she completely forgot to look at what was in front of her. She let out a giggle and pressed her lips to his before pulling away, "Close your eyes." He gently ordered her and she closed them. Edward used his hands to spin her around slowly by her waist and made her face the other way, her back naturally going to press itself against his chest, "What do you hear?" He asked her.

Lilith let out a smile as she listened in to her surroundings, hearing the sounds of the owls hooting and the squirrels eating nearby. Her smile dropped as she listened in to the deer walking closer, making it's distinct croaking noises louder and louder with every step.

Her eyes opened and they nestled in on the deer before running to hide from it, waiting for it to be completely distracted and vulnerable.

She leapt up on the rocky cliff nearby, crawling towards the edge as she kept her eyes on the deer that had begun to nibble on the branches and leaves on the small trees surrounding it. The newborn turned her head to look at Edward, her eyes asking if she could have that one and he nodded at her.

Her stance had turned predatory as she began to prepare herself to attack it when the wind blew a strong scent towards her nose, catching her off guard.

It was blood—human blood. There was a human nearby and they were bleeding. She let out a sharp breath as she took in the scent, feeling her thirst taking control over her again and she couldn't help but grunt and dig her hands into the rocks, feeling then crush like sand beneath her hands.

"Lilith, don't." Edward told her, smelling the exact same thing that she was and knowing that it was most likely driving her crazy, "I can help you."

She shook her head, she needed to control it herself otherwise she might not be able to be around Diana or Bella like that even though all she wanted was to race all the way to the top of the mountain and rip whoever that person was apart.

Her eyes narrowed in on the deer once again and she didn't hesitate as she launched herself off of the rocks and tackled the innocent deer to the ground, sinking her teeth into its side instantly; feeling it struggle against her to try and fight her off and let out noises of pain and fear as Lilith's teeth continued to latch onto its body and drain it of blood. She let out another grunting noise as she pushed the deer off of her and wiped the blood off of her mouth, her body was still craving the blood from the human nearby but it wasn't craving it enough to want to chase after it as much as before.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know there would be people this close to the trails." Edward said as he squatted down in front of her, "But, I am amazed that you managed to stay away from human blood mid-hunt. Even mature vampires have problems with that."

Lilith shrugged from the compliment, "Well, I have our family to follow after. They do it all the time." She said back.

"And I'm still amazed and proud of you." Edward told her before kissing her. He then stood up and helped up Lilith before they made their way back towards their home. He sent her a look, "Want to race?"

Lilith smirked and without a second's thought she took off running, leaving Edward behind and giving her a head start towards their home for him to catch up to her

Within seconds, the married couple arrived towards their home, playfully shoving each other before cuddling each other's sides.

The sounds of the doors opening and footsteps distracted Lilith, her head turning towards it as she saw Bella and Jacob walking towards them, "Wow, now you really do look like a Lilith." Jake commented with a teasing smirk, "No thanks to the creepy red eyes."

"But, you still look like you." Bella added, slapping Jake's arm.

"You guys are still here." Lilith observed, surprised that they had stuck around.

"And so are you." Bella responded before running towards Lilith and pulling her into a hug. The human girl quickly pulled away, "Oh, my God, I'm so sorry I didn't think that through." She had completely forgotten that Lilith most likely didn't have control over her thirst and that being so close to her would make her lose control.

Lilith chuckled and pulled Bella back towards her and into a gentle hug, "Thank you for being here for me, Bells." Lilith could never hurt Bella, she was her best friend and she loved her like a sister. Even though she was a newborn, she could never hurt Bella, and it was probably good to start practicing since they would be able to see how she'd do with Bella and Jacob before Lilith went to see Diana.

"Of course." Bella responded with a smile. Lilith then pulled away and made her way over to Jacob, pulling him into a hug also.

Once the two pulled away, Lilith made a face, "Jake, I really don't want to say it but I can see what everyone's been talking about." She started, "You really do stink."

"You're so nice, Lilith." Jake responded sarcastically with a chuckle, "But, I'm really glad you're okay."

     "Me too." Lilith smiled.

Edward then pulled her closer towards his side, the blonde newborn turning to face him, "Want to come meet our daughter?"
