Mike had decided to stick with Lilith and Bella for the rest of the day. The blonde girl deducted that it was most likely because of Bella and that he liked her. If Bella wasn't there, Mike would most likely not speak to her, but, she didn't want to leave Lilith alone, as she was her only friend at the school so far. It was currently lunch, and they had grabbed their food as Mike lead them over to his friend's table to introduce the girls to them. As they walked over, Lilith smiled having spotted Angela and she waved at her, Eric waved back thinking it was for him as he continued to speak about some movie to the group of friends.

Mike pulled out the seat for Bella and Lilith sat in between her and Eric, pulling out her own chair as Jessica sat next to Mike, "Hey, Mikey, you met my homegirls Bella and Lilith?" Eric asked, as Mike offered him a burrito.

"Oh. Your home girls?" He asked back.

     "Yeah." Eric nodded.

     "That's..." Mike trailed off.

Before he could respond, a boy came over to them and kissed Bella and Lilith on the cheek, "My girls." He said and then pulled the chair out from underneath Mike, letting him fall to the ground. He then quickly ran away as Mike chased after him, "Sorry, I had to mess up your game, Mike!"

"Tyler!" Mike yelled out after him.

"Oh, my God." Jessica gasped as she moved closer to the girls, "It's like first grade all over again. You're the shiny new toys."

"That makes me feel great about myself." Bella mumbled under her breath, not liking that she was being compared to a toy used by children.

"So, you guys have been friends for a long time?" Lilith asked the group, changing the subject from what could be an uncomfortable conversation when she realised that they have been friends since their childhood.

"Yeah, since elementary school." Jessica nodded as she took a bite of her apple, "I honestly have no idea how we've stayed together this long, but, I guess since we live in such a small town we don't have much of a choice."

Before she could get another response, Angela pulls out a camera and told them to smile. Bella flinched when the flash hit her eyes, "Oh, sorry, I needed a candid for the feature." Angela told them.

"The features dead, Angela." Eric said seriously, "Don't bring it up again." He said standing up and walking over to Bella and patting her on the shoulder comfortingly, "I got your back, baby." He said causing Jessica to scoff in disbelief at what he had just said.

"I guess we'll just run another editorial on teen drinking." Angela frowned as she deleted the picture she had just taken from her camera.

"You know, you could always go for eating disorders. Or speedo padding on the swim team." Lilith suggested, causing Bella to snicker at her suggestions, "Those ones were always popular at my previous schools."

"Actually, that's a good one." Angela said agreeably, "I definitely think we could use those ones here. We've got people who do that."

"Kirk. Right?" Jessica giggled, looking at Angela for reference, "That's exactly what I thought."

"We're talking olympic sized." Angela explained to Bella and Lilith about Kirk.

"But, there's no way. He's so skinny." Jessica disagreed, definitely thinking that he padded himself down there, "It doesn't make sense for him not to be—I just feel sorry for the girl who might be a little disappointed when it turns out it wasn't what she thought it was."

Angela chuckled, "I don't think Samantha would care too much." She nodded her head in the direction of a blonde haired girl who sat at the table in the corner of the cafeteria that was close to the swimmer team's table. Lilith could see the girl look over to one of the boys—who she assumed to be Kirk—every few moments to see if he was looking at her.

Bella looked out the window while the girls gossiped, noticing a group of people beginning to walk by the cafeteria windows, "Who are they?" She asked, grabbing all of the girl's attentions.

Angela looked over at who Bella was talking about and then back at her and Lilith. She rested her elbows on the table in front of her, "The Cullens." She answered.

Jessica looked at them also and back at the girls before a look on her face grew, telling Lilith that she was about to tell them some gossip, "They're Dr. And Mrs. Cullen's foster kids. They moved down here from Alaska, like, a few years ago." She said and Lilith nodded, taking in the information not expecting it to be so tame.

"They kind of keep to themselves." Angela added, causing Lilith to think. Her family kept to themselves because they had a secret they wanted to maintain, did the Cullens also have a secret? Or were they just super exclusive with who they let into their lives?

"Yeah, cause they're all together." There was the piece of gossip that Lilith was waiting for from Jessica. The girl couldn't hold it in any longer, "Like, together, together." She said as they finally entered the cafeteria.

Lilith looked at the first two who walked in, seeing how effortlessly beautiful each of them were as they held hands and walked towards their table, "The blonde girl, that's Rosalie, and the big dark-haired guy, Emmett, they're, like, a thing." Jessica's voice lowered to a whisper so she could inform the girls of who was who, "I'm not even sure that's legal."

"Jess, they're not actually related." Angela reminded her friend.

"Yeah, but, they live together. It's weird." Jessica defended. Another couple then walks into the cafeteria holding hands and Jessica composes herself so she could inform about them also, "And, okay, the little dark-haired girl is Alice. She's really weird, and she's with Jasper; the blonde one who looks like he's in pain."

Lilith looked up seeing that Jasper did indeed look like he was struggling and that Alice was comforting him with her presence. Lilith shrugged, "Maybe he is in pain, you never know." She told them, she felt like sometimes her magic hurt when she didn't use it enough or when she used it too much. They were all probably reading too much into it and Jasper just most likely wasn't a people-person and being in a social setting probably made him anxious.

"Dr. Cullen's like this foster dad slash matchmaker." Jessica joked. Oliver and Dr. Cullen probably would have met by now, assuming that he worked at the same hospital and Lilith's dad.

"Maybe he'll adopt me." Angela smiled dreamily.

Lilith then looked at the window seeing another guy walking in. Her head nodded at him, "Who's he?" She asked as he sat down at the table with the members of the gorgeous looking family and he wasn't mentioned beforehand.

"That's Edward Cullen." Jessica told Lilith, "He totally gorgeous, obviously, but, apparently nobody here's good enough for him." She said, picking at her food, "Like I care, you know?"

"Sure." Lilith added as she took a bite of her apple, definitely being able to picture Jessica trying to make a move onto Edward and being completely rejected by him without a second thought.

"Seriously, like, don't waste your time." Jessica continued.

"I doubt she was planning on it." Bella told Jessica as Lilith continued to observe the Cullen family. They each were so beautiful and mysterious. It made her wonder about the possibilities if they had a secret of their own. Her eyes met Edward's, and she realised that he began to look confused and frustrated, but it wasn't completely directed at her. She wanted to know what he was thinking, and maybe it was the same for him as he looked like he was trying to read her.

The bell then rang and Lilith got up and put her rubbish in the trash before walking to her next class.

Mike walked Bella and Lilith to their next class, which was biology. Lilith liked all sorts of science classes as it correlated well with her magic lessons at home. She normally excelled in science classes because of the extra curricular stuff she does when it comes to magic. The teacher, Mr. Molina looked up from his class notes seeing the two new girls, "Ah, yes. Miss Swan and Miss Bailey." He greeted and the girls then took a step towards the teacher and past the fan.

Lilith spotted Edward sitting alone and saw that he was glaring at Bella in some sort of way, covering his face as if he could smell her from that far away and that he didn't like what he smelt, making Bella uncomfortable. Mr. Molina grabbed their passes and gave them the things they would need for the class, and the girls saw that there were two seats available, one next to Mike and one next to Edward. Lilith sighed, "You can take the one next to Mike." She said, knowing that Bella would be uncomfortable next to Edward after what had just happened.

Bella looked grateful at Lilith as she scurried over to the blonde haired boy who looked way to excited to be sitting next to a girl while Lilith slowly walking over to Edward and sitting down next to him while Mr. Molina explained what the class was researching for the day, "What you did to Bella was really rude." Lilith said to Edward, keeping her eyes forward.

Edward ignored her comment and slowly pushed the tester over towards her as he pulled his towards him. Lilith looked into his eyes seeing that they were completely black, she had never seen eyes like that before, only ever reading about them in folklore stories. She had assumed that humans never had pitch black eyes or that it was completely rare.

The class seemed to drag on for ages, Lilith had to constantly ignore the fact that Edward was staring at her the entire time trying to study her. Sometimes it seemed that Edward was glaring at her more than he was staring, and it was frustrating and uncomfortable to be on the receiving end of this particular gaze. Lilith wanted nothing more than to gain the confidence to tell him to stop looking at her, but, she was completely frozen, she didn't want to make it worse. Her head turned slightly in his direction and Edward looked away. She was confused for a moment.

Suddenly, Edward slammed his book shut and got up, leaving the class before the bell had even left, making Lilith even more confused as the bell went less than a minute later after he had gotten up.

Lilith looked back at Bella who seemed even more confused, having witnessed the entire interaction between the two. Lilith sighed, she didn't want to deal with such a thing, she didn't want to be around that every single day she had class with him. As much as she didn't want to, she was going to change her class to something else. She loved biology, but, it would ruin it if she was stuck with Edward constantly glaring at her.

As she walked into the office, she noticed that Edward was already there arguing if the office lady, asking if there was something else already open like physics or biochem, but she was persisting that every class was already full and that he would have to stay in biology. Edward turned back having heard her enter and the office lady tell Lilith to wait a minute until she was finished dealing with Edward. He glared at the little blonde girl, "Fine. Just... I'll just have to endure it." He says grabbing his bag again and leaving the office, slamming the door shut behind him.

Lilith sighed having heard that everything is full, not bothering to try and ask, she left the office and began to walk home.

As soon as she entered her home, her mother greeted her, "Hey, monkey, how was school today?" She asked, Lilith knowing that her asking about school really meant if she was asking her daughter if she had made any friends today.

"It was good, mom. I made friends today." Lilith smiled, bending down to pick up Dakota and letting the black cat snuggle into her chest.

"Oh, that's good." Sierra smiled, walking over towards the kitchen to make dinner, "Any cute guys?" She asked.

"Mom." Lilith groaned, "You practically cursed me to complete awkwardness when it comes to guys when you, and dad move us around every two months because of our witchiness."

The door suddenly opened as her father walked in, "What about curses?" He asked, coming over to kiss his daughter on the head, "Hey, hobbit. How was school?"

That reminded her, "And you cursed me with the height of a child." Lilith added, fake glaring at her mom, "Everyone thinks I'm twelve." She groaned.

Sierra and Oliver chuckled at their daughter, "Oh, don't be silly, Lil. You're adorable, any boy would be lucky to have you."

Lilith only huffed, she wasn't that upset, but they had this conversation often. She could never have a boyfriend if she didn't have friends first. She then sighed, "I have homework to do. Call me when dinner is ready." She said walking upstairs to her room.

She wanted to forget all about Edward Cullen and his stupid glares, and she wanted her math homework to distract her from it for her. She got started when minutes into it she received a phone call, she leaned over to see that Bella was calling her, the girls having exchanged numbers after school had finished to keep in contact.

The two spoke about a lot of things, from the answers to the questions on the homework and eventually they began to talk about Edward Cullen, "You should definitely confront him." Bella said to her.

"Yeah, because I would do really well in a confrontation." Lilith said sarcastically, leaning back against the pillows on her bed, "I could barely handle him glaring at me, they were that intense. I don't know how I would react if we got into a verbal argument."

"No one said anything about a verbal argument." Bella backtracked, "Just tell him how he was disrespectful."

"I did!" Lilith exclaimed, "And it made it worse! Why do you think he was glaring at me for the entire class?"

"Oh." Was all Bella could say, "That's uncomfortable."

"You're telling me." She sighed. She then shook her head, her parents would not approve of her letting some boy step all over her like that, "Actually, you know what? I am gonna confront him, and you're coming with me. He acted like you smelt, you deserve to tell him off also."

There was a moment of silence while Bella thought about what Lilith had just said, "Hey, Lilith..." She started, causing the blonde to hum, "Did I actually smell?"

Lilith could only laugh out loud.
