Matthew Bernard Sturniolo, sat in his bed bored out of his mind as he scrolled through Instagram, it was Valentine's Day and he yet again had no one to spend it with. He normally didn't care but he was up early, for some reason, and he was thinking about Sofia. He had been talking to the girl quite a lot, they had gotten really close, and he hadn't realized it yet, but his feeling for her slowly grew overtime.

The two had got to know each other a lot and once they were past the talking stage, which Sofia kind of hated, they had started texting about random things, nothing important, but it was pretty funny to them. He decided to text her and wish her a happy Valentines Day.

Matt closed his phone decided it would also be a good idea to get some sleep but after a few minutes (hours) of trying he couldn't. He turned his phone on and scrolled through Instagram, seeing some of Sofia's old Instagram photos pop up. He looked them admiring the sweet smile on her face. He couldn't help but smile back at them.

He had the urge to text her, but he knew she wouldn't respond, he didn't know what was going on with him but ever since he met her, he's been feeling different, good different, but he thought it was just the fact that he had made a new friend who was really nice along with a few others.

He continued to lay in his bed mindlessly scrolling through her old Instagram photos until Chris barged into his room complaining about how bored he was. Matt ignored his brother and continued to smile at his phone but was drawn out of his thoughts when Chris threw himself next to Matt and watched as he scrolled, "Oooo, what're you doing?" Chris asked with amusement filling his tone.

"Nothing," Matt told him shutting his phone off and sitting up next to his younger brother who raised his eyebrows at him, "Scrolling through Sofia's Instagram I see," he confronted his older brother, "She just popped up and I started scrolling," Matt admitted slightly embarrassed, "You likeeee her," Chris sang, "No I don't." he denied with a stern tone and expression, "Okay sure," Chris smiled at his brother as he made his way out of his room.

"Dude, she has a boyfriend!" Matt exclaimed to his brother who walked out. Sighing to himself and rolling his eyes at his brother. 

 How can I like someone I barely know? we-we barely know each other, Matt thought to himself.

But do you really need to know someone to like them? Sure, he found her attractive, but he didn't like her.

Sofia laid asleep in her bed with Mason by her side, she for some reason couldn't get any sleep, she came back from her night out with Mason, and she was exhausted, of course, but after she texted Matt, she was wide awake, she twisted and turned in a sort of directions, but she just couldn't get comfortable. She stared at the celling, forcefully shutting her eyes only to open them a few seconds later.

She quietly groaned in annoyance, slowly and quietly stood up and walked to the kitchen. Grabbing a bottle of water, opening it and taking a sip, she turned around to see, Khai. "What are you doing up?" he asked taking a seat at the island, "Couldn't sleep, you?"

"Same," she nodded in understanding.

"I also have a craving for McDonald's," he told her as she leaned against the opposite side of the island, she looked at him with a knowing look and smile, "You thinking what I'm thinking?" she questioned him, he smiled back at her and nodded in understanding, "Mcdonalds!" they shouted in excitement, neither caring if they woke anyone up, which they mostly likely wouldn't since Brooke was a heavy sleepier and so was everyone else.

The two rushed to get their shoes, and quickly but quietly ran out the door, almost forgetting the car keys in the process. 

The two sat in the Mcdonalds parking lot talking and laughing their asses off, it had started snowing earlier that day as Sofia and Mason were out on their date and there was now ice lying on the ground and as they went inside to order their food Khai tripped and fell on his face and after Sofia asked if he was okay trying to hold in her laughter,  they both started laughing so hard that Sofia fell down on the cold hard ground with him, they looked insane to others as they laughed on the concrete in their pajamas, but they didn't care.

And right now, they sat in Sofia's car laughing about it on Instagram live.

"He literally just fell out of nowhere," Sofia laughed as she ate a fry, struggling to chew, "A-and then he tried to catch himself, but he busted his ass!" Khai softly chuckled in embarrassment as she told the story, trying to calm herself down so she could finish it, but she couldn't, "And then she fell on the floor with me as she died of laughter," Khai recalled pointing a finger at his older sister.

Sofia rolled her eyes and sent him a glare, shoving his finger away from her in annoyance, both looking at the phone in an awkward silence, glancing back at each other and then dying of laughter once again. The two looked like complete maniacs to others as they laughed in the car, but they didn't care, they were having the time of their lives laughing at the moment that happened just a few minutes ago.

Matt sat in his bed watching Sofia's live with Khai on her finsta account (therealsofiathefirst), it was 1:30 in the morning and he couldn't sleep and now that she was on live, he was wide awake. He busted out with laughter at the two as Sofia tried to tell a story of Khai falling flat on his face. The two kept laughing at each other and it was very amusing to him and everyone in the comments. 

Soon after they ended it, he started to fall asleep.

Sofia and Khai however were practically up all night, the two had ended the live after an hour of sitting in the Mcdonalds parking, the two then decided to go back home and watch movies in Khai's room until they fell asleep. Sofia fell asleep pretty quickly, junk food always made her tired when she ate a lot of it, she had eaten fries, McFlurry, and some of Khai's chicken nuggets and she was full. She also fell asleep because Khai's movie choices sucked.

But she had a lot of fun with him.

She hadn't spent a lot of time with him since she was always with Mason or Brooke and he was always with Nate, she had almost forgotten how much fun she had with him, but she was glad that this day reminded her of the fun times she had with him.

I feel like I haven't updating this book in FOREVER but I'm here and I hope you guys liked this chapter.

I really liked writing it.

Chris knows and Matt has no idea how to feel.

I'm trying to focus on this book more and I plan to write for it more, also if I ever write dry ass convo's between characters it's bc idk how to write funny juicy convo's even tho I'm told that I'm hilarious irl

But anyways I hope you enjoyed, again I'll be working on this more and it is a fast burn book, so hopefully they'll be together soon, there will also be some family drama very soon!
