━ sudden death tragedy!

A distorted bird squawk left her beak, followed by more twitching and weird movements from her metal body. (Y/N)'s stomach dropped watching this, and slowly went to circle around to Airazor's front, "Are you okay? Airazor?"

However, as she circled the robot, she definitely wasn't expecting what she was met with, and it made her (E/C) eyes go wide in horror.

Airazor's infected mark had grown all over her metal body, as she was trying to fight if off, "I can feel Scourge!" She strains in, and snaps her helm towards the girl, her eyes now glowing orange and voice distorted, "He's in my mind.."

The girl flinched back seeing that, was going to reach out for the robot with a shaky hand, but the sound of a horn blowing in the distance stopped her mid way. She turns around quickly to find the source, but screamed in fright when Airazor suddenly flew up into the air with sickning screech.

"Run, (Y/N)!" Optimus had appeared in a instance hearing the scream, and rolled over the running away girl. He fired up his canon on his metal arm, going to aim but Primal had stopped him.

"No!" He shouted in alarm, and pushed down Prime's weapon from hitting the flying away, now completely infected eagle, "Airazor..."

(Y/N) rushed back over into Noah's arms with heavy breathing, as she stayed close by his side and heard Mirage's pedals come up right next to them. Her brother was grabbing the wrist-mound Mirage gave him, and attached it to his body.

"They found us." Optimus announced loudly, and stood with back facing the humans in the middle of the robots, as he aimed his gun up again, "Everyone, defensive positions!"

Primal bent down to Noah's level a little bit, and gently handed him the transwarp key, "Noah, guard the key." He tells him, and glances at the two girls clinging onto each other behind him, "Take (Y/N), and Elena, and find someplace safe to hide."

Noah took the key slowly, and held in in both of his hands, as Elena furrowed her brows at him knowing what he was thinking. (Y/N) spotted this with questionable eyes, and went to say something, but once again was stopped by something.

"We must protect the humans!" Just as Primal spoke to the others, something came flying at him, and ended up knocking him down with a grunt.

Nightbird was the one who had hit Primal, and skidded to a stop on the ground with a threateningly growl, red optics glowing viscously, "Miss me?" She taunts, before firing her jetpacks and started attacking the robots.

"(Y/N), guys, get out of here!" Mirage yells in warning to the trio in the middle of the fight, as they began to run away through the firing, and Mirage protected them from any incoming threats.

Noah had one hand holding onto his sisters wrist, while she had one holding Elena's, and the girls ducked with yelps feeling a blast just near their heads behind. (Y/N) tried to frantically look around for Mirage with panicked eyes, wanting to see if he was alright, but Noah just tugged her faster away from the area.

They continued to avoid and rush through the forest in a fast pace run, until the trio arrived near a river bank safely away from the fighting. Noah had let go of his sisters hand, as he walks a bit up to the water, and looks around for a way out, transwarp key still under his arm.

(Y/N) had her hands on her knees to catch her breath from the sudden running, and gasped startled when another shot was fired just behind her and Elena, causing fire to erupt in the grass a little.

Noah clenches his jaw angrily seeing that, acting fast and places the key on the sand below his shoes, "We have to destroy it." He presses a button on the weapon around his wrist, making it switch on to blast it.

His sisters eyes went wide in shock, and fumbled in front of him with her hands raised up, "Noah! What are you doing?!" She exclaimed with disbelief, "Put the gun away-"

"No! Don't." Prime's voice jumped in after her, his figure appearing from around the bit they came out of, and also raised a servo up in pleading.

Noah wasn't listening to either of them, and ignored the heartbroken look (Y/N) sent him, despite his own hurting seeing that, as he pressed down on his weapon more, making it transformer into a loaded gun.

"I know you want to protect your people," Optimus began in an understanding tone, and made his gun transform back into his metal arm, "but if you destroy that key, our home will be lost forever. We do not have to choose."

Noah's face scrunched up with confliction, knowing deep down this wasn't the right thing to do even if it meant dooming both worlds. His gazes stays on the key feeling his sisters buring stare on him, as the weapon hums on his wrist, ready to be fired.

"Please, Noah." Optimus gives one last atmpit at his pleading, deep voice completely dropped into a sadder one, and didn't make a move from his spot near the trees.

He makes a grunting noise, and eventually lets go of the weapons blaster, making the humming noise stop, and shut off completely. Noah's eyes didn't look up already feeling (Y/N) would be disappointed in him, but was shocked when she tackled him in a tight hug, causing him to stumble back a little bit a few steps.

"You did good, big brother." She whisered gently into his shoulder, arms around his broad shoulders as he had one around her back. She pulled back after a few seconds with a small smile, gaining an even tinier one from him, thankful she didn't hate him.

She turned back around to share a nod with Elena who smiled also, and the Diaz girl bent down to carefully grab the transwarp key off the sand. However the familair sound of Airazor screeching is heard, and she comes flying out of the forest, diving down to pluck up (Y/N) in her claws.

Noah tried to reach his sister before this happened, but didn't make it in time as he rolled onto the sandy floor with a grunt beside Elena, "(Y/N)!" He yelled out in a cry, scrambling up from the floor hearing her loud, terrified yells from up within the air.

Optimus' optics also widened in fear at her being taking away from them, as he run a few steps up to the reming humans. He didn't know what to do to get her back, as he couldn't exactly fly now could he.

However prayers were answered when Primal came rushing out of the forest's clear path with a roar, and skidded to stop on the sand seeing the girl up in the air in Airazor. He grunted lowly, and began following along the bankside of the water.

"Go!" Noah yelled to the two still with him urgently, and they all run back into the forest, going a different way to get back (Y/N), and the key from the Maximal.

Primal was running through the large forest trees, hearing Airazor screeching in the distance, and used that to locate where she was exacltly. He jumped up onto a high brunch, using that to swing himself up onto the rocks, as (Y/N)'s screams were heard now also.

He jumped down from the mountains with a roar, getting air for a few seconds, and landed onto a rushing waterfall coming down from even higher mountains. He clambered up those rocks easily, and all the way up to where a clearing out of the forest was.

He began climbing up some old rock ruins placed there on a grassy hill, and run up on all fours over many rocky steps that stretched vastly, "(Y/N)!" He called once he arrived where the girl was cradling her arm, and skidded to stop near her figure on the grass.

Her eyes weren't looking at him though, they were wide and full of fear on a familiar figure standing next to Airazor. During the event that just happened, her arm had a scratch on it, and a few on her collarbones that were all bleeding slightly, but wasn't life threatening.

"Wait, wait." Scourge was now holding onto the transwarp key, and laughed seeing Primal in front of him, as he gestured to him, "Didn't I kill you already?"

Primal slams his servos into the ground roughly, creating bits of dirt and soil to fly up, and roars, "No! I'm the Maximal that's going to rip our your spark." He declares in a threat, while getting into a defensive stance.

Scourge simply laughs dryly again, "We'll see about that." His helm turned towards Airazor, before making his disappearance away from the scene, "Kill them!"

The eagle had no choice but to listen, as she sreeches and flaps her wings up to attack Primal head on. He braces for impact, and groans as he takes her by the claws, and doesn't fight back when she started to rip some of his metal off his chassis. She contuined to aim hits at him with her beak, but he ended up kicking her off despite not wanting to harm his friend.

(Y/N) stumbles to stand up straight with a stumble, and still cradles her sore arm to her chest slightly, "Airazor, no!" She cries in a yell, pleading for the robot to stop, "You have to fight it!"

"I'm sorry little one, I can't hold back..." Her voice was distorted trying to resist the corruption, as her optics flickered between yellow and orange, "... much longer."

Primal let go of his wounded chassis with his servo, and placed it back onto the ground again, groaning, "Fight it, Airazor."

She was trying very hard to do so, as half of her face was turning into rust metal, and the other side was her fluffy features, "Remember our oath, Primal.." Her normal voice was back, and it drops into a knowing whisper to her old friend, "No matter the cost."

Her once soft yellow optics shifted back into orange, as they were aimed at (Y/N) now making her flinch back scared, "I can't hold him back!" She yells in a distored trained way, her wings flapping up in the air now, and went to fire a lava hit at the human.

"Airazor, no!" Primal shouted as he quicky jumped in front of (Y/N) protectively, and took the hit instead. He leaped up into the air and tackled the other Maximal down, sending them rolling across the roll downwards.

"Oh, shit, oh shit-" (Y/N) freaked out in mumbles to herself at this, and rushed off the way they went, as she grabbed her bag to swing over her shoulder. The bracelet on her wrist was blinking again, dearly hoping Mirage, Noah and the others got here soon.

The two Maximals landed at the bottom of the tall hill, and both grunted when their bodies were thrown away from each others mid fight. However, Airazor acted without thinking, and fired a lava shot from her beak at Primal, who roared in pain and tried blocking the hit.

"Primal!" The (H/C) haired girl shouted out in alarm seeing him in trouble, as she had finally arrived down where they were, and screamed when Airazor's lava blast almost had hit her, but Primal stopped it.

Primal grabbed the eagles jaw to redirect the hit on her, and had his metal arms around Airazor's chassis to stop her from doing any more harm, and hesitated to deliver the finally blow.

"It's okay." Airazor's normal voice reassures him gently sensing the hesitation from her friend, causing Primal to roar in pain, though it wasn't from his wound's received, "Do it."

The glowing yellow light from within Airazor's chassis was fading away, as the metal strains under Primal's strong hold. He grunts lowly with a vent, and rested his helm on her shoulder as Airazor's spark comes to a slow stop, the electrical humming dying down also along with her.

(Y/N) feels like she had just been kicked in the stomach, as she placed a hand over her mouth with teary eyes realising Primal had just killed his very own friend. Airazor's lifeless body was gently placed onto the ground, her yellow optics shining no more with kindness.

Primal makes a few pained noises with his helm bowed away in guilt, as he steps away from Airazor's figure, unable to look at the sight without breaking.

The others had only now arrived at the horrific scene, and all come to a stop up on the higher level. The other Maximals feel their sparks clench in sadness, spotting their fallen friend dead on the ground, "Primal.." Optmius exhaled out in shock, as he took in what had happened.

"No matter the cost." Primal spoke in a low tone, as he backed up away from Airazor again, who's helm was resting in (Y/N)'s lap, and watched them with sorrowful gaze.

Her hands were gently running over Airazor's colder features, trying to bring her some sort of comfort even though the robot was now no longer living. A few tears slipped down her cheeks silently, hating how the group ended up loosing yet another vailed member because of this mission.

"(Y/N)!" A familiar voice exclaimed from across the field, as Mirage's metal figure was jumping down to her before Noah, or Elena could, and came to a skidding stop just near her.

She looked up at him with a sorrowful gaze, and gave one last caress to Airazor's helm, before she stood up to leave the Maximal with Prime, who stood near his fallen friend again. (Y/N) walked off a bit away from the group, making Mirage followed her worriedly.

"Hey, look at me." He bent down on one metal knee in front of her, voice gentle as he reached for her chin with one servo, and brushed some of her locks out of her face, "Look at me, (N/N). Are you okay?"

She sniffled with a strangled inhale, as she leant into his touch, and glanced back at Airazor with Primal, "I think so? But..." She trailed off with a small cry getting stuck in her throat, "Airazor's gone, and now Scourge has the key-"

He shushes her softly hearing her cry, and wiped away the tears under her eyelashes ever so carefully, "It's alright, deep breaths sweetheart." He cooed reassuringly, trying to ease her knowing damn well he was lying to her right now, "It's gonna work out, don't worry."

She rested her head against his chassis the best she could, and had her fingers wrapped around his digits tightly, as her still teary gaze focused on the group all talking amongst themselves away from them.

"You were so brave, baby. So brave," Mirage continued to whisper tender praises into her locks with his dermas touching them, and slowly broke their hug as he smirked warmly down at her, "I'm glad you weren't hurt to bad, I don't know what I would of done if you were."

Despite the ache growing inside her chest, she sent him a small grateful smile and a lip brush against one of his digts resting on her face. He somewhat tensed embarrassed at this, spark feeling such a warmth he's never experience before.

Their little comfort moment was soon ending, when Noah came hurdling towards (Y/N) and tackled her into a hug, a thousand of questions being thrown at her, "Are you okay?! Anything hurt, or broken, or damaged-?!"

"Noah! I'm okay!" She took her brothers face in her cheeks with a loving chuckle, and directed his wide concerned eyes to hers, "I am alright, don't worry." Her face suddenly shifts into a guilty one, "Scourge has the key, Noa."

His hands dropped from her shoulders with fast paced breathing, a scared expression morphing over him that has her taking his hand in hers, and squeezing reassuringly. She also did the same to Elena, spotting her similar one as well.

Mirage raised one of his servo out to grab (Y/N)'s figure, but paused in sadness feeling she didn't want to be near him right now, and let that servo drop to his side, as he walked back to the other Autobots.

Noah stood near the edge of the hill they were all on, and had an arm wrapped around (Y/N)'s shoulder, who rested her head on his shoulder. They were looking out in the distance at where Scourge was breaking Unicron to earth, and saw all the machines popping up on top of the tallest mountain.

Optimus had walked over to them, his heavy footsteps being heard as he ended up standing next to them, "I am sorry, (Y/N), Noah." He talked softly in a sad voice, gaze trained on the ground unlike the siblings ones.

"You were looking out for your own." Noah replied to him after a second, giving Prime a glance bore looking back at his sister in his arms, "I can't even be angry at you for that."

"On my home world, we believed that the battle with darkness will continue till all are one." Prime explained to the listening duo, as they shot him a curious expression, "I lost sight of that. You fought for yours as I fought for mine, when we should have been fighting the darkness together."

(Y/N) and Noah shared look between each other, as she lifted her head up from his shoulder and stood up straight to face Prime, "Well, we ain't done fighting yet."

His optics followed the siblings who both walked back to where the group was, surprised but also impressed as he goes to walk after them as well, "A'ight, everybody, squad up! Bring it in!" Noah calls out to the sadden group, making them gather in the middle, "There's gotta be a way to stop this dude."

Primal jumps down from his spot above Elena with a thump, "It's too late. The transwarp has already been activated." He told them, as a hologram form of the said thing appears in the middle of them all, "It has more energy than a supernova. Any interruption will ignite it like a bomb." An explosion goes off in the hologram to show what he meant, "The only way to stop this process is an access code installed long ago as a safeguard."

(Y/N) furrowed her brows in thought hearing this information, and glanced over at Elena who had the same look as her. Mirage trailed off behind the girl, and stood there with his servos on his hips, "Okay, what's the code then?"

"The code was split along with the key." Primal answered his question with a disheartened huff, "Sadly, the second half of that code died with Airazor."

"No, wait, wait, wait." Elena was frantically speaking, and stood up with her notepad in hand, "I got it. The one hiding her half of the key-- that had markings in it." She flips through the book, while holding a piece of paper from it, "Just like the ones we found in the cave where you hid yours. Together, they must complete access code." She holds up the two markings together with a grin, and shows it to Primal who grunts in acknowledgement.

"So we got chance now, right?" Noah spoke up in question, his confidence growing as he grips a strap of his brown bag over his shoulders.

"A slim chance."

Optimus nods his helm in agreement at Primal's words, and steps forward with a new found of hope, as he looks to the Maximal leader, "That is all we need. If you will show us the way, Primal."

He thinks for a few seconds, and eventually complies with the idea, "All right. We need to move quickly. We have a small window before the portal open large enough for Unicron to enter." An image of the portal appears in the hologram, followed by what he said next, "The bridge is girded by a a series of tunnels. They are too small for Maximals, but..."

"But not for humans." Cheetor finished off the male's words, his figure next to (Y/N) as he bumped his helm into her palm patting him gently, ears and tail flicking.

Mirage watched the scene closely from behind, his metal arms crossed over his chassis and felt a sudden heat forming within his spark, that caused him to clench his jaw tightly, while glancing away to focus.

"If (Y/N), Noah, and Elena reach the central antenna," Primal was explaining, as small holograms of human figures appeared where he was talking about, "they can use the code to shut it down, remove the transwarp key, and close the portal before Unicron enter our atmosphere."

"But Scourge will be watching our every move." Acree states obviously, and throws one of her servo in the air with a huff, "He'll do anything to stop us from getting the key."

"Then we bring the fight to him." Optimus declares determined, walking into the middle of them all and pointed a digit towards the ground, "Autobots, and Maximals will charge the bridge together, and lure Scourge onto the battlefield."

(Y/N) brushed over Cheeto's fur on his helm once more, before going to stand beside her brother, and wrapped her arm around his forearm, "While me, Noah, and Elena sneak in through the back way."

In the distance the group heard rumbling from where they needed to go, and faced that direction briefly, "It sounds like we're all going to die." Wheeljack remarks nervously, while rubbing the back of his helm.

"If we are to die, the we will die fighting.." Optimus Primes voice bellows out strongly, and looks around at all his comrades, "all as one."
