BROOKLYN, 1994
━ arriving in peru!

As Stratosphere soars through the air in his plane form, it becomes a tiny speck against the vast expanse of the sky, and many fluffy clouds. Airazor was flying near his form, while making bird calling noises. The environment inside the plane, was a mix of quiet, nervousness, and sorrow. Noah, and Elena sat on the long sit over the other side, while (Y/N) and the Autobots were at the end of the plane.

She was sat on her knees in between Mirage's parted ones, as she had Bee's helm resting in her lap gently, expression showing sadness for her friend.

Every time the plane rattled around, or made a sudden movement, Mirage would hold onto her waist tighter with his servo, and keep her steady against his chest plate. One of his metal legs were bent upwards, while the other was rested against the floor.

(Y/N) sighed to herself heavily, and ran her finger over Bee's even more colder cheek plates, wishing for his optics to open up, but knew that wouldn't happen, "I'm so sorry this happened to you, Bee..." She whispered in guiltiness.

This caught Mirage's attention hearing her words, casting a quick glance at Prime who was talking to Acree, and gently squeezed her waist, "Don't blame yourself, sweetheart." He murmured low enough for her to hear, and leant down to rest his dermas on top of her head softly, "Bee wouldn't want that."

She bit her quivering bottom lip, and nodded her head with uncertainty, "I guess...  I just wished I could of done more." She admitted sadly, and brought her smaller hand to press gently against where Bee's spark would be, but felt nothing coming from it, "He didn't deserve this, none of you guys do."

"I know, I know." He reassured gently as he left a kiss in her messy locks, causing her to shiver feeling the coldness of his dermas, and just lean back more on his chest plate, pulling Bee closer in her lap to hold his lifeless body.

Over from across the plane, Noah watched the entire interaction with furrowed eyebrows, wondering if his sisters closeness with the Autobots was a good thing or not. He's seen how much Mirage cares for (Y/N), and Noah could't disagree with someone who takes care of his little sister, not when it made her happy too.

"You know, if it is, when we get our hands on it, you know we gotta destroy it." Noah was talking with Elena about the transwarp key, tone now serious which confused the other girl greatly, "It can't unite the key without both pieces. No key, no Unicron, no Earth getting eaten."

Elena frowned a little conflicted at this, and turned her gaze over to the Autobots, just seeing Mirage smiling down at (Y/N) in his hold, "Yeah, but then they can't get home." She goes to add in a whisper next, "And I don't think your sister would agree to this."

Noah shakes his head with pursued lips, prepared to not tell anything of this plan to her even if it meant her hating him in the end, "We gotta think about us." He moves closer to Elena, who was looking down at the floor, "All you gotta do is find it, and I'll take care of the rest."

Back over with the Autobots side, Arcee turned to look at their quiet leader in deep thought, and questioned warily, "Do you think an energon infusion could bring him back?"

"Perhaps, if we could get him back to Cybertron." He answered in his deep voice, gaze on (Y/N) who had Bee in her lap still, before scrunching up his servo in remorse and turned to look outside the small window, "I never should've taken us so far from home."

After a few more hours of flying, the outside environment starts to show that they had arrived in Peru, as the landscape was full of a lot of hills, grass, and old ruins everywhere. As Stratosphere lands on the ground, he comes to a rough stop in his plane form, and the group start to disembark from inside.

(Y/N)'s eyes were wide, and full of wonder taking in the scenery of this new place, as she's only seen this place in books, and pictures, never in real life. She was sat on Mirage's shoulder plate again, like usual, "Y'know, I'm starting to think you like me up here, Raji." She voices with a cheeky grin down at him.

His scoffs in a playful manner, and places a servo onto his chest plate, "What kind of man would I be, If I let a pretty girl like you walk?" He questioned in a funny tone, and throws her a charming smirk, "You're a Princess in my eyes."

She stuttered in shock not expecting this, and went to snap a comeback, but ended up crossing her arms over her chest, and turning away from him. He chuckled lowly watching this, and came to stop with the rest of the group hearing a horn beeping in the distance.

They see a brown and white 1970s Volkswagen Type 2 panel bus coming toward them. It has a rough time doing a power steer, and almost crashes, causing Mirage to comment, "Wow. Wheeljack needs to fix that power steering."

It then transforms into an Autobot, speaking in a Mexican accent, as he waves off the butterflies around him, "Sorry I was late. I was taking in a harmonious moment between a serene butterfly and an unruffled caterpillar. Such tranquility."

Noah's eyebrows raised in surprise hearing his accent, "Yo. whoa, whoa! Oye, papa! Where you from?" He asked in a bit of an excited way, and looks up at the transformer.

"Cybertron." Wheeljack answered hesitantly, and shrugged his shoulder plates with his response.

"So where'd you get that accent?"

"Accent? What accent?"

Noah readjusted his bag around his back, "You know what I'm saying? I'm saying it's cool. Like," He started to embarrass himself, making his sister and Elena roll their eyes amused, "I was about to be like 'Yo! Mira papi! De donde eres perro?' I didn't want to assume that you speak Spanish, too, because then....right?"

"Hmm, a little racist, hermano." Wheeljack remarks bluntly, and (Y/N) snorted under her breath hearing it from up on Mirage's shoulder, shaking her head at Noah's mess up.

Noah frantically denies this, and coughs into his fist awkwardly feeling the stares of everyone, "Not trying to be, you know. Yo."

"But anyway, the mission." Wheeljack waves off the human below, and directs the others back on topic, as he turns around, motioning for them to tag along, "Follow me."

Noah was still trying to defend himself, and makes hands gestures at Wheeljacks walking away figure, "But he's a robot, like so..." He trails off, and grumbles to himself as he follows the others now walking, "how is that racist?"

The group end up crossing over a circle of rocks, that lead into smaller paths of rocks on the grass, and come to the edge of the hill, looking out to the massive town below. Airazor was flying over the city already, waiting for orders for the mission.

"Okay, guys, check this out." Wheeljack began announcing to everyone, as they all come to join beside him near the edge, "The coordinates you gave me correspond to an old church. Take a look."

(Y/N) hums in agreement at this, and holds onto Mirage's headphones metal band around his helm, that were his ears as she leans forward a little, "That's Santo Domingo. The Spanish built it on top of an Incan temple."

"Correcto." Wheeljack confirms with a small smile sent her way, and turned back to use his visor to zoom in on the building, and scanned it, " I picked up some residual energy readings around the courtyard, so I'm guessing the key's somewhere close by." His visor moved to the massive group of people in the centre of town, "But we may have some trouble getting there. Inti Raymi, it's a festival that shuts down the whole city."

Mirage smirks giddy at the news, and crossed his arms over his chest plate, while staring at the packed town also, "Guess it's a night mission then."

"No." Optimus instantly shuts the idea down, and walks up to his team a bit more, "Scourge could already be here. We must retrieve the other half before he does."

Noah thought for a few seconds, and looked around in the distance to think it over, until he declared loudly for everyone to hear, "Me, (Y/N) and Elena will do it. Y'all never make it two blocks."

His sister grimaces hearing his idea, and shrinks back into Mirage's shoulder plate, not really wanting to do that as she hated crowds. Acree steps forward the remind them, "There's human security all around the church. You'll never get through."

"Then we'll have to take a play out of your book." He retorted, and began to take off his bag on his shoulders, along with his green jacket, "We'll hide in plain sight. We'll blend in with the parade."

Optimus hummed a rumble, "It is not a bad idea." He agrees, nodding his helm down to Noah who looked to his sister and Elena, "We will keep an eye out for the Terrorcons. Our first sign of trouble. We are going in."

"Yo, Noah, think fast." Mirage chucks something down to him, as Noah goes to catch it but the object started to transform around his hand, and created a small weapon that fitted his hand perfectly.

(Y/N) spluttered seeing her older brother getting this from Mirage, and grumbles annoyed, "Why does he get that, but not me?" She complains, as the Autobot picked her up in his large servo, and started to lower her.

"'Cause, sweetheart," He began in a lower octave for her to only hear again, and playfully pinches her cheek with on digit while grinning, "if anything happens to you, I'll rush right there. All you gotta do is holler."

She felt a flustered expression take over her features, as he placed her gently on the ground beside her brother. Noah scowled up at Mirage who chuckled, and Noah grabbed his stunned sisters arm, tugging her away from the group with Elena.

Now down below in the lively festival full of dancers, singers, musicians, and people everywhere that had a lot of colours on, the human trio were awaiting the signal from the Autobots to move out. They were dressed in clothes to match the festival, which was traditional clothing to Peru.

"(Y/N), Noah, Elena, it's go time. Blend in. Act natural." They all heard Mirage's voice over the communicate in their ears, and started to make their way into the big crowd full of life.

The (H/C) haired girl felt like fainting from how many humans were currency around her, and had a death grip on Noah's, and Elena's hands wrapped around hers. The male lead them first through the cheering crowd, and eventually made it to the front where the parade line was.

He waited for a few seconds seeing security close to them, and pulled the girls along with him towards a bunch of people holding up something. Their hands let go momentarily, and joined in at the back awkwardly to blend in, while (Y/N) looks over her shoulder for threats.

Once they got a bit closer to the end, the trio split off from the prade and run towards an alleyway away from the noise, and crowd. Unknown to them, the Terrocons had ended up finding them in the city, and knew they were here trying to find the key.

Eventually the small group had made their way through the town, and to the place where the key was supposed to be. Elena pushes open the wooden door, as they all walk through the entrance and was met with the outside environment, nothing there but a few ruins and houses around the patches of dying grass.

"Key's gotta be here somewhere." Noah speaks up to them after a second, and shared head nods with the girls, just before he went to start exploring the brick walls for clues.

(Y/N) takes off the festival clothing on her body, reveling her flannel shirt and bracelet that was on her wrist, not knowing that object would come in handy later. She placed the clothes on the floor, and took a step towards the old ruins with Elena, both squinting their eyes seeing a familiar symbol engraved on one of the rocks.

Noah was pressing random rocks on the wall, hoping one would trigger something to open up or a secret passage way, but ended up finding nothing the more he tried.

"That stonework is 17th century." Elena tells him spotting this happening, and he soon paused hearing this information, turning around to them, "What we're looking for is something much, much older."

(Y/N) flicks the loose hair out of her face, and bent down to the old circle ruins in the ground with Elena, examining them closer with curiosity, and shared a look between each other.

"What is it?" Noah questioned seeing them acting like that, just as his sister brushed off the grass on the stone to get a better glimpse of it.

"It's the same insignia on Airazor." They both answered in sync, giving each other smiles when it happened and glanced back to the incorrect symbol a Elena continued on, "But it's not lined up right. Wait, you guys see that? I think there's something under here."

She went to use her fingers to move the circle around, grunting as she did so, and lined the symbol up properly. Once it was in place, the sound of something shifting underneath their feet was heard, and it caused the trio to share wide eyed, bright looks.

"There's another one." (Y/N) announced to the group, and squatted down to the one in between Elena, and Noah, turning that to the right way around also.

The trio continued to do this with the entire circle of symbols on the ground, and all stood side by side in waiting for what was going to happen, "Now what?" Noah questioned, just as something began to occur below them.

Under their feet, the cement started to move, and in-cave on itself, causing them to jump back with yelps. Noah held onto his sisters forearm, and watched the hole in the floor slide open slowly, and out appeared a massive hole leading down, very down.

"This is some 'Indiana Jones' -type shit." He comments in one breath after this, and they all peeked over the ledge into the dark underground hole.

(Y/N) grabbed his wrist as he went to move towards the hole, and squeezed gently to gain his attention, "You sure about this?" She asked unsurely, not liking the idea of them going down there.

Noah slid his hand into hers, and gave a gentle squeeze back in assurance knowing his sisters anxiety would be rising up right now, "No... but we'll be fine." He answered, letting her go, and went to start climbing down the small steps on the wall leading down.

She gulped nervously, keeping an arm on his back to help him to the first step, as he stopped where he was, and supported her next to come down, Elena going next.

Once they had gotten to the ground floor, despite the many times (Y/N) almost fell off due to how clumsy she was, they had safely made it. Noah helped the girls off the last step, and entered the underground area, that was even more ruins that haven't been touched for millenniums.

(Y/N)'s expression shifted to a wonder one, face lighting up like a child and looks around at the view in awe, never seeing something like this before. Though, it was hard to see because of the dark, but there was a little light peeking in through the holes in the rock walls around.

"You know, you must be the first people to walk here in half a millennium." Elena remarks, breaking the silence as she stood next to the other girl, and grinned between the siblings.

They start to walk across the small ledge carefully, the girls going first so Noah could watch out for them behind, as he went to go next, and heard something coming from the technology on his wrist.

"Yo, Sonic, you dead yet?" Mirage's familiar voice was talking over the walkie-talkie, "Also, how's my girl doing?"

Noah didn't even register the last bit yet, as he does to hold the technology up to his mouth, and replies into the walkie, "No... Wait! What did you just say-?!"

Mirage's line went silent at being caught, making Noah fume more at his comment on (Y/N), who was giggling quietly in front a bit giddy hearing the conversation.

"I think that's a temple." Elena speaks up from the front of their group, and points to the massive space coming up, as she turns to glance at the siblings.

They moved down the pathway more afterwards, Noah now in the lead with a flashlight from the tec switched on to show them the way, "What are we looking for?" He questioned, shinning the light around the area.

"You see the symbols on that temple?" (Y/N) raised a finger to point at the high ceiling above them, and stands next to Noah who was near a pathway leading up, "They match the ones in the courtyard. I think it's up there."

She grabs Noah's light to shine their way, and they walked up the few stair leading up towards the temple. They walked cautiously inside of it, and eventually spot something that had a long brick lid on it in the middle of the room, followed by a familiar symbol, "I think we found what we came here for."

"I  always wondered what it would feel like to be there when artifacts were actually found." Elena chuckles in disbelief as one of her dreams were coming true, and walks up slowly to the lidded container.

The siblings also go up to the container on either side, and get a good grip on it with their fingers, trying to ignore how dusty it was, "All right. Now come on, push."

They all began to push the lid off the best they could, as the object was heavy even with three people trying to remove it, and soon successfully got it off with a thump on the ground.

(Y/N) coughed at the dust flying in the air because of this, and waved a hand around in front of her. Once it was cleared, her (E/C) eyes go wide on horror spotting nothing inside the container, expect for the two piece holder of the key.

"Just--just let me think." Elena says in a breathy tone hearing Noah's panicked words seeing no key, and gripped the edge of the container with furrowed brows, "Sometimes there's like a false bottom or something."

The other girl beside her nodded her head rapidly in agreement, and went to brush away the dust inside the top, as the other two followed after, "Look, I think I found something." She announces, stopping the brushing, and pulled Noah's wrist with the flashlight to shine on the symbol, "You see these symbols? I've seen markings like this, in my memories. They're new. They're not on the transwarp key."

"There's two of them." Noah comments with a confused expression, and blows off some more dust in the container while Elena draws the symbol on her palm.

A sudden noise behind them makes the group stop, and turn towards the way they came in, now on edge as they knew who was after this key as well, "Let's keep moving." Noah tells them quickly hearing the noise, and turns back around to shine the light behind his sister.

Eyes going wide, and stomach dropping he spots one of Scourge's henchmen behind her, "Run!" He yells, which made (Y/N) scream too and sprint away from the Terrorcon trying to grab her.

The trio run into another exit way in a hurry, rushing down the steps leading towards a lower level. All yelling when they had to jump down, with the Terrorcon hot in their trail, who rolled to a stop near them also.

"Go, go, go, go, go!" Noah frantically urges the two girls, pulling up his sister as the robot made his weapons appear, and they sprinted the opposite way of it.

(Y/N)'s bracelet on her wrist as now glowing a small blue colour, as it flashed rapidly to alert the one who was connect to it. In the middle of the fleeing, she tugs Noah's wrist up, and desperately talks, "Raj! We got trouble! One of the things is down here!"

"Hang tight! I'm on the way!" Mirage's voice was heard back instantly, his one sounding just as desperate as hers hearing that they, she was in danger.

They continued to rush through the pathways inside the underground area, and (Y/N) yelped in alarm when the Terrorcon tried to swipe at her behind them, and was tugged along more by Noah with Elena.

The trio were esacping well away from the creature, until it jumped down in front of them all, causing the girls to scream in alarm. Noah pulls them both behind him to shield them, as Elena shoves him a little, "Do something!"

"What do you want me to do?" Noah questioned back in a hiss, one arm outstretched in front of the girls, as he had the other with the technology raised to the creature.

Just when the Terrorcon went to pounce on them, Noah's technology went off, and ended up firing a shot at it, which killed it straightaway, as it landed on the ground lifeless.

(Y/N)'s wide eyes glanced from the dead robot, to the weapon on her brother wrist, chuckling nervously with a hand pressing against his back, "You had a gun this hole time?"

He shrugs a little bit breathily, and grab her hand in his as she reached for Elena's wrist, and he went to pull them in another direction away from the dead Terrorcon. They travel through a lot more pathways, turning and twising through the underground, until the sound of something dripping hits their ears.

"I hear water." Noah remarks in relief at the sound the exit, and they climb through the rest of the pathway, until the bright light of the jungle had hit their eyes.

Around them was many more greener, followed my massive rocks surrounding a rushing waterfall that was the source of the dripping noise. The trio carefully make their way down from the part they were on, and into the cold water to get across to another rock in between the cave, and water.

(Y/N) shivers feeling the coolness wash over her, sighing sadly at the fact her clothes were now going to be wet from her hips down. They hear animal noises coming towards them from within the forest, causing her to grip onto Noah's sleeves in fear.

"What was that?" She shakily questioned in a quiet voice, getting pulled up onto a rock by Noah and Elena, as her bracelet still blinked a small light.

She soon got her answer, when Optimus Primal bursts out from the foliage and aggressively pounds his chest, startling the trio cowering.

i fr need a love life or somethin cause i'm getting jealous of my own writing rn pls like mirage and y/n are so sweet together i can't ☹️☹️☹️☹️

ugh fight scenes or any scenes in general are sometimes hard to write so i hope this chapter isn't too bad pookies... erghhn

this will probably be the last update until the weekend since i need a break... or maybe not idk cause knowing me i'll write again LMAOAO😭
