PLANET OF THE MAXIMALS.
━ prologue!

"There's a legended that precedes the dawn of our civilization. A vile God, so large and so powerful that it consumed entire planets as fuel. Few believed such a thing could be true, until the day we saw Unicron with our own eyes."

In the absence of a discernible atmosphere, space unveils an expanse of unadulterated darkness, punctuated by the ethereal glow of distant stars lingering around the planet of the Maximals.

Coming up at dangerous speed on the peaceful planet was, the maniacal transformer god Unicron in all his mighty. The transformer was gigantic and frighting looking, as the head of it was slowly opening to reveal a large, orange glowing light that started to send down his minions.

The Terrorcons who were sent down landed onto the planets surface with one goal, and transformed into their real appearance. Another transport was sent down a few seconds after, as it lands on the grassy ground and comes to a sliding stop.

"But he didn't just come for out planet, he wanted our greatest technology. The transwarp key, and he sent his most powerful henchman to collect it."

A low hissing sound came from the top of the capsule, as it was pushed off from the inside with a loud bang. A tall, machinery figure appeared from out of it, as the figure rolls their metal shoulders, and glances around at the environment with glistening eyes.

"Scourge."

Running through the forest was many Terrorcons on pursuit of an escaping Maximals, Apelinq who had the very key being held in between his mouth. He jumped up to grab onto a tree brunch, and swinged himself another way to the opening as he just avoided another shot fired at him.

That was until one did end up hitting him in the chest, causing him to grunt out in pain, and the key to go flying in the air from his mouth plate. He rolled onto his side and saw the key a few meters in front of him, but quickly turned his helm towards the forest sensing incoming danger.

Apelinq went to place an metal arm out to stop the hit, thought nothing came out it. Appearing from the forest, another Maximal charging out and grabbed the Terrorcons, which was a scorpion's tail in his servos, and picked him up to swing him around in the air.

The Maximal stomped on top of the deflenless enemy, and used his free servo to rip his head clean off the body, along with the metal spine. Primal hit his chest plates in challagement, as he had successfully killed the Terrorcon.

Another fire was shot from above by a somewhat lighting zap, as it had killed another Terrorcon behind the two. From out of the smoke, a winged Maximal flew above them with a bird cry, and landed on the dead metal of their enemy.

Two more Maximal's came out from the forest, one being a cheetah, while the other being a rhino. They run up to where the others were, and met them in the middle, "More enemies are landing. We won't be safe for long." Cheetor informs the group.

"Do we have the key?" Airazor questioned the leader from her spot still perched on the metal, and glanced at him with her glowing yellow optics.

Apelinq walked up to the key on all fours, and reached down to pick the object up carefully, "You must take it, keep it hidden. So that it never falls into the hands of Unicron."

"But Apelinq, we can fight-!" Primal went to protest against the idea, as the other male was directing his words at the latter.

"No!" Apelinq denied straight away, "Protecting out transwarp key is all that matters." He pushed the key into Primal's chest plates, causing him to grab it with his servo, "Go, use it to escape!"

Airazor gazed curiously at their leader, and tilted her helm, "What will you do?" She asked.

He glanced away from Primal and towards the others in waiting, "I'll hold him off. By you some time."

Primal didn't like that answer, and it caused him to grab onto the others bitarlueus (forearm), "Then I'm staying with you." He stated strongly.

"This is my fight." Apelinq tells him, and goes to touch the shorter ones metal shoulder pads, "Listen, if Unicron were to get the key he could open a portal through time and space. With no ends to the worlds he could destroy." He explains, before gently butting his helm against his, "Now, it is your time to lead the Maximals. Optimus Primal."

He removes his helm from his, and Primal holds the key to his chest in a protective hold, watching as the old leader go into a fighting stance knowing what was coming. Taking this as que to go, all the other Maximals started to run off behind him, and towards the escape ship.

From within the darking forest, the only thing that could be seen was a glowing orange light followed by eerie and loud metal footsteps onto the dirt below.

Apelinq taps his servour knuckles into the ground, and out appears axe shaped knifes on his metal forearm sides, and vents a hot breath as the threat was getting closer to where he was.

"So, your this planets great warrior." A deep, and sinter voice speaks from behind one of the trees. He hummed lowly, and started to make himself visible to the Maximal, "You have such a beautiful world. Filled with an abundance of life and savory."

The mystery voice's appearance was shown when he came into the clearing out of the forest, and his name was none other then Scourge.

"My master grows hungry." He starts off in his dark voice, as the two go to slowly circle each other, "Give me the transwarp key, and he will spare your home."

Apelinq caught site of his fellow Maximal's nearing the ship on top of the mountain, and glared back at Scourge with his orange optics, "We would rather die then let him breach other planets!"

A heavy sigh escaped Scourge's mouth plates, "So be it." He turned around to face the now standing Maximal, and fired up his weapon barrel on his clawed servo.

The other male hit his metal fists against his chest plate, and roared out for battle. He brought his them down against Scourge's weapon, making the other get pushed away a little. Apelinq didn't stop as he made more hits with his sword axes, and jumped up into the air to make the final hit.

However, Scourge's metal forearm changed into a lava tipped sword in a split second, and brought the weapon straight into the Maximal's chassis (chest). Apelinq was stuck on the sword, as he grunted and growled in fury at the Terrorcon.

He didn't have time to stop the incoming damage blow of Scourge's weapon barrel either. He blew a hole straight through one of Apelinq's shoulder pads, creating a lava inflicted wound that showed some of his insides.

"Benefits of serving the all mighty Unicron." Scourge causally comments, as he rips off the Maximal crest on Apelinq, and seals it onto his shoulder plate with the many more he has collected with his kills, "They never learn."

"You're too late, Scourge." A weak Apelinq voices from down on the ground, as he grunts in pain and his exposed machinery sparks a little bit, "Your master will be trapped in this galaxy, forever."

Behind them now inside the last escape pod, the rest of the Maximals had now entered it, and the ship was just starting to take off from the planet, and into the sky.

"No..." Scourge growls out in horror seeing this happening, as he fully turned around to witness the ship taking off.

Up inside the depturing ship, all the Maximal's were looking down at their once leader knowing they wouldn't ever see him again, "His sacrifice will be out oath. To preserve the key, no matter the cost." Airazor speaks to the silent, morning group.

Primal listened to her words closely, as he was closest to the window and gazed outside it, holding the key close to his chest plate. When they arrived into the dark clouds out of view, he bowed his helm in guilt and sadness for the death of their comrade.
