CHAPTER SEVEN - Ron
[ chapter seven - ron ]
season six, episode five
RICK WAS BACK, he had made his way through a group of walkers as they now surrounded the walls of Alexandria. Abi stood between Carl and Tara as they listened to the banging and groans coming from the walkers.
"Well, that's not good." Tara commented quietly, Abi nodding in agreement. At any time the walkers could come in and nobody was prepared, Deanna still hadn't allowed the people of Alexandria to hold weapons or learn how to use them.
"You can hear it," Rick spoke loudly to the group. Abi ran a hand through her hair, stressed about all the recent incidents. She was worried for Glenn, Abraham and Sasha—but she was also worried for herself. Her father had always believed people could change, even until his last moments. She had taken that chance from the man she killed.
"Some of you saw it. They got back here, half of them. Still enough to surround us twenty deep." Many of the members of Alexandria had worried looks on their face, some on the verge of tears.
"Look, I know you're scared. You haven't seen anything like this. You haven't been through anything like this." Rick continued. "But we're safe, for now. The panel the truck hit seems intact. We reinforced it just in case. Either way, the wall's gonna hold it together. Can you? The others, they're gonna be back."
"They're gonna be back," Rosita repeated, Abraham was still out there. Abi understood why the woman was worried. Abi was worried for Glenn, too. And Enid.
"Daryl, Abraham, Sasha, they have vehicles." Enid doesn't. "They're gonna lead 'em away, just like the others. And Glenn and Nicholas are gonna walk back through the front gate after. They know what they're doing, and we know what we need to do. We keep noise to a minimum. Pull our blinds at night. Even better, keep the lights out."
Abi's eyes gazed through the crowd, soon landing on Ron as he stared in her direction. He held an angry glare as his eyes switched between Carl and Abi. Abi was confused as to why he didn't like them. It was Carl's dad who had killed Pete. Not Carl. Abi didn't do anything wrong towards Ron. How could he be angry she killed somebody, that was her job. Ron didn't seem to have noticed that Abi had caught his angry glare as he returned it to Rick.
Ron hated both of the teenagers, his anger taking over his knowledge as his main want was to kill both of them. Carl, in revenge for his father. Abi, for Enid. He held an even stronger desire to kill Rick. The boy was blinded by a hatred so familiar in the Anderson family as it was passed down, passed down from someone Ron was supposed to feel this anger towards, someone who Rick had—fortunately—ridden this world of.
"We'll try to make this place as quiet as a graveyard, see if they move on." Rick kept on.
"This place is a graveyard," a woman—who Abi had yet to meet—spoke up. Everyone was silent as Rick looked at her for a moment, the sounds of growls and banging emphasising through the quiet.
"The quarry broke open and those walkers were headed this way," Aaron spoke up as Abi smiled at the man. She had began trusting him a long time ago, it was good how much he showed his loyalty to their group. "All of them. The plan that Rick put into place stopped that from happening. He got half of them away. I was out there recruiting with Daryl. I wanted to try to get into a cannery and scavenge, and Daryl wanted to keep looking for people. We did what I wanted, and we wound up in a trap set by those people. And I lost my pack. They must've followed our tracks. Those people who attacked us, they found their way back here because of me."
Abi turned to the walls as a walker loudly banged on the wall near her, her body jumped slightly, Tara's hand joining her shoulder as they shared a warm smile. "There'll be more to talk about." Rick announced.
"Deanna?" Tobin called causing every to turn to the ginger woman, as she was walking off. "Deanna?"
Everyone departed after that, doing their own thing, Abi watched as Carl walked away before remembering how she needed to talk to the boy.

"CARL?" Abi called out for the boy who was headed back to his house. He turned around and looked at her, confused on why she hadn't just gone home. "Somebody needs to look for Enid and we're the only ones who knows she left."
Carl took a deep breath, staring down slightly at the blonde due to her being a few inches shorter than the fourteen year old—although being older. "It could be dangerous," he pointed out.
"Do you not remember when you went to the infirmary in the prison to get supplies for my dad and fought off walkers?" Abi reminded him of the prison, it was when her father's leg had been axed off due to a walker biting him, one of the scariest moments Abi could remember of the prison. When Hershel and Lori were still alive.
Carl sighed as he couldn't help but smile as he remembered the prison. "It was only two walkers. This is hundreds Abi."
"There's a blind spot, walkers aren't there. We could climb over," Abi suggested, she was getting desperate. One of her only friends could die, and it was all her fault. Carl thought about it for a moment.
"Are you even sure she's over the walls, she could just be hiding somewhere, or in her room?" Carl said, unsure of his own words. The boy didn't want to risk their lives for someone they had met only a month or more ago.
"I heard Olivia say she hadn't seen her either, she's out there Carl." Carl nodded at Abi's words as he remembered a boy Enid was close to.
"Have you talked to Ron?" Carl asked as Abi shook her head 'no'. To be honest, she hadn't thought about the boy in a while. Seeing him at Rick's talk was a small shock after she had killed that man in front of him. "He might have seen or head something."
After some walking the two found the boy repeatedly stabbing his knife into the grass. "Hey, you okay?" Carl called as the two stood beside him.
"Why wouldn't I be?" Ron replied, the annoyance in his voice being obvious to the two teenagers.
"Grass doesn't seem to be okay," Abi said motioning towards his knife. Ron shook his head in disbelief that those two were talking to him. "Have you seen Enid?" Abi asked.
"Not since I saw her with you," Ron replied still stabbing his knife into the ground. Abi sighed as the familiar feeling of panic rose higher, trying her best to stop herself from freaking out.
"We think she went over the wall just before the herd came and now shes trapped out there," Carl informed the angry boy, wanting to keep it as calm as possible as Ron stabbed the mud once again.
"What makes you think she isn't dead?" Ron replied, eyes fixated on the grass.
Abi squinted her eyes in anger as she stepped forward. "Shut up." She told the boy as Ron looked at her. Carl put his arm in front of Abi, also telling her to shut up silently.
"Come on, man." Carl pleaded. Ron now looked to Carl, scoffing as he placed his knife in his pocket. He stood up and began walking away.
"Look," Abi stopped him, still desperate to find Enid. "We'll go find her. We just need your help. If you maybe-"
"I'm not helping you, Abi." Ron said placing his hand on his hip. "This isn't for me," Abi told him.
"It's for Enid. Your friend." Carl added as Ron seem to get even more pissed of at the two in front of him.
"My girlfriend." Ron corrected her motioning with his arms. "Or, I mean, 'cause she was anyway, right?" Abi sighed in disbelief at the boy's words. She was missing - it didn't matter wether Ron and Enid were 'dating' or not.
"So you just want to leave her out there?" Abi asked him, arms crossed in anger as Carl stood beside her, also annoyed by Ron's behaviour.
"I told her to stop going over the wall, I told her there's bad people out there and that it's stupid and dangerous," Ron explained as he used his arms for exaggeration.
"Of course she wasn't going to listen to you. The most dangerous thing you've ever dealt with is your dad." Abi bit at him, not finding any regret for her words. Ron scoffed, raising his eyebrows.
"I'm not gonna let you two go," Ron threatened. Abi grabbed Carl's arm and turned around. They began walking as Ron followed. "Carl, Abi. You're not going out there." The two teens didn't listen as they kept walking. Ron grabbed Carl's arm as Carl turned and pushed him backwards.
"Back off," Carl told the stumbling Ron. Abi stepped back, not wanting to get involved in anything. She was immediately unimpressed as the boys just starting shoving each-other. The girl cringed as the boys only conjoined arms as they used their body pressure to push the other person further away. Eventually Carl seemed to win whatever just happened and knocked Ron on the ground, the boy let out a small cough as the two just began walking away.
"I'll tell your dad. And Maggie. They'll go out there to find you, then other people will, too. And then somebody's gonna die." Ron said placing himself on his elbows.
Abi ignored him as Carl came to a stop so he could listen to whatever the boy on the floor had to say. The blonde girl didn't care, she just wanted her family and friend back.
"You saved my life, and now i'm saving yours." Ron said from the ground. Abi huffed as Carl shook his head and they walked off.

My motivation is gone and i'm thinking of rewriting the chapters because they're actually all so bad I can't deal with it. (I DID IT ) Most of the future chapters I already have written so I'm rewriting those ones for now - which is why this one is rlly crappy.
