LILLIAN noticed Jade's nervous state as her friend's knee kept shaking and she anxiously started biting her nails. Lillian's eyebrows furrowed in concern, "Jay, you good?" She asked, leaning against the lunch table.

Jade nodded her head, folding her hands against her lap before shaking her head. "I wanna ask MJ out for homecoming." She whispered toward Lillian.

Lillian smiled widely, "That's cute! How are you gonna ask her?"

Jade's eyes widened, "I have no idea. I know she wouldn't like anything flashy." She shrugged. "I think I'll just ask her when she's alone." She sighed as the decathlon team and Elijah decided to sit with them with the exception of Liz and Peter.

"Sup, losers." Michelle said as she sat in front of Jade, taking her fry from Jade's tray and throwing it into her mouth.

"H-Hey." Jade smiled as Lillian smirked at her friend's reaction.

"Hey, babe." Elijah said as he sat next to Lillian, pulling her closer to him as he placed a quick kiss against her lips.

"Oh, hey." Lillian replied as she gave him a soft smile.

Lillian looked back at the rest of the group noticing that Peter wasn't with them. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly, but shook her thoughts away once Ned spoke up about homecoming.

"Guys, I was thinking-"

"Oh, no." Flash shook his head, "That's not a good thing." He chuckled as Ned glared at him.

"Like I was saying, before I got rudely interrupted." Ned clears his throat, "I think we should all go to homecoming as a group. Even if you have a date or not." He said as everyone simply agreed with him.

Flash shrugged, "Yeah, sure. I don't see why not." He clapped his hands together as he remembered something. "I heard Parker asked Liz out for homecoming." He snickered as he shook his head in disbelief. Everyone looked at Flash in shock, "Who would've thought that Penis Parker would get a date with someone like Liz?" Flash asked as he began eating his sandwich.

"Wait, what? Peter asked Liz out for homecoming?" Lillian asked unsure if she heard him correctly as Elijah watched her reaction closely.

"Yeah! I couldn't believe it either." Flash replied with his mouth full as Lillian's nose scrunched up in disgust.

"I was hoping he would ask someone else, not gonna lie." Michelle said nonchalantly as she took a sip of her water.

Elijah's eyebrows furrowed at Michelle's response, "Oh, yeah? Who?" He asked, facing her as he crossed his arms.

Michelle cleared her throat about to speak up, but Jade beat her to it, "Uh..." Jade let out a small laugh, "Um..."

"Me!" Ned spoke up as everyone's head turned to face him in confusion. He let out a small nervous chuckle, "A-As friends of course. I-I mean we were gonna go together, b-but he asked Liz and that's why I think we all should go together." He smiled nervously as he nodded to himself.

Flash nodded, "Yeah. Okay." He said as he looked at Ned weirdly.

"No, that's actually a cute idea." Jade nodded her head as she tried to help Ned with his cover up.

Elijah shook his head, "Whatever."

"Hi, sorry to interrupt you guys, but can I borrow Lillian for a sec?"

Lillian turned around to see Liz with a huge smile on her face, "Um, yeah." She said as she got up before turning around to face Ned, Michelle, and Jade with a shrug. They both walked off to the hallway where the rest of the group can't see them. Lillian let out a sigh before giving Liz a polite smile, "What's up?" She asked as her arms crossed.

"I know we don't really talk, but you seem close with Peter, and I need your opinion on something." Liz asked, nervously biting her lip.

"And what's that?" Lillian asked, her eyebrows furrowed as she waited for Liz's response.

Liz cleared her throat as she thought of a way to word her sentence correctly, "Are you okay with me going with Peter?" She asked.

"Um, yeah." Lillian shrugged, taken aback by Liz's question. "I mean... Why wouldn't I be?"

"Because..." Liz's eyebrows furrowed at her response, "you're close with Peter." She said as if it was nothing.

Lillian shook her head in disagreement, "I'm not that close with him." Her arms crossed, "I'm going with Elijah, so..." She told her truthfully as she shrugged nonchalantly.

Liz nodded slowly, "Okay." She let out a soft giggle. "I also hope you don't mind me asking, but I'm gonna wear a red dress. Do you think he'll like it?"

Lillian inwardly rolled her eyes, but gave her a small smile nonetheless. "Yeah. He'll like it," she nodded, "it's his favorite color." She added.

Liz gave her a thankful smile, "Thank you!" She beamed as she rushed to give Lillian a tight hug, catching her off guard.

"Ow." Lillian groaned slightly as Liz pulled away in concern.

"I'm sorry. Did I hurt you?" Liz questioned as worry crossed her face.

"You're touching me." Lillian gave her a forceful smile.

Liz let out a small laugh, "You're funny. Well, I'm gonna go. I'll see you at homecoming?"

Lillian hesitantly nodded, "Yep. See ya there." She waved goodbye to Liz as she went her way to wherever. Lillian decided to walk back to her group only to see Elijah standing near the doors of the cafeteria. "Hey. W-What are you doing out here?" Lillian questioned.

"Is it true?" He asked as his arms crossed.

"Is what true?" Lillian's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"What you said about Peter? Y'know not being that close with him." He questioned slight sternly.

Lillian was taken aback, shaking her head. "Elijah, I grew up with the kid, but I'm not close with him like Liz is initially intending." She spat as she sighed. "Look, I'm with you. He's with Liz. We're all happy. You have nothing to worry about."

"Yeah right," Elijah scoffed as he shook his head. "How do I know that you're not gonna cheat on me? For all I know you could be whoring around with any guy behind my back." He spat as his eyes widened in realization.

Lillian scoffed in disbelief, "I can't believe you just said that." She choked up as she shook her head.

"Lills, is everything okay?" She noticed Peter say as Jade and Peter were behind Elijah.

She cleared her throat as she stared at Elijah, "Yeah." She deadpanned, "Everything's fine." She spat out coldly.

"You sure?" Peter asked his voice dripping in concern.

Elijah rolled his eyes in annoyance, "Dude. What's your deal, man?" He spat out angrily.

"He's concerned with Lilly's well being. They are friends, dickface. He has the right to ask if she's okay." Jade retorted as she glared at Elijah.

"We're done." Lillian spat out coldly toward Elijah before leaving the opposite direction of them three.

"Lilly-"

"Leave me alone, Elijah." Lillian called out as Jade gave Elijah a death glare.

"Whatever the hell you did to my best friend, you better pray that she's nice enough to not let me kill you." Jade said sternly as Peter slightly shook his head at her actions. As Peter goes to find Lillian, Jade gives Elijah another glare before she left after Peter, only to find them both sitting in an empty classroom that was about to be used for decathlon in a few minutes.

"Why did you guys follow me?" Lillian asked as she rolled her eyes, her eyes seeming a little bit red.

"Because... you need us." Peter said softly.

"Look, since I'm your person. I'm going to be completely honest with you. I know you're not going to want any sugarcoated bullcrap, but no one really liked Elijah." Jade shrugged as she took a seat in front of Lillian.

Lillian looked up at Jade in annoyance, "Seriously? You're the one who set me up with him in the first place." She reminded. "Go out with Elijah, you said. It'll be fun, you said. As you all could tell, it was the complete opposite!" She spat as she threw her hands up, feeling irritated.

Jade smiled nervously, "Yeah, you got me there. Sorry." She sucked in her teeth, "Well, if it makes you feel any better I'll take you to homecoming." She suggested.

Lillian shook her head, "No. You're taking MJ." She said mater-of-factly.

Peter was taken aback, "You're gonna take MJ to homecoming?"

Jade nodded as if it was nothing, but then realized his innocent mind didn't figure it out. "Uh, yeah..." she let out a small laugh, "Surprise, cat's out of the bag. I like MJ-"

"I knew it!" Jade cheeks turned a deep red as she turned around to see Michelle walking in with Ned.

"Shit." Jade mumbled as she closed her eyes tightly wishing that she was dreaming right now.

Lillian lightly smiled at the scene in front of her as Peter's brown doe eyes glanced over Lillian's face, smiling at the fact that she found a little bit of happiness. Jade turned back to face Lillian as she silently asked for her help, only to have Lillian shrug at her in response.

"Just because you're not facing me doesn't mean that I can't see you." Michelle said as she walked closer to Jade, tapping on her shoulder as Ned took a seat next to Lillian.

Jade slowly turned to face Michelle, letting out a nervous chuckle, "H-Hi. H-How much of that did you hear?" She asked.

Michelle hummed in response, "Pretty much all of it." She shrugged.

Jade nodded, "Right. Um, well... Will you go to homecoming with me?" She asked nervously.

Michelle watched as Jade fidgeted anxiously which cause her to smile a bit, "I'd love to." She nodded.

"Really?" Jade blushed as she cleared her throat, "I mean, uh that's great. Sweet." She breathed out as she smiled widely.

"Look at that, my bestie's being all cute together." Lillian cooed before looking over at Ned, "Looks like it's just me and you who's going solo."

Ned nodded in agreement as he let out a small laugh, "Singles unite." He cheered, bumping his fist against Lillian's.

"W-What about me?" Peter added.

"Peter, you got Liz. That doesn't sound single to me." Ned reminded as Peter sighed in defeat, the rest of the decathlon team walking in.

As the decathlon started with their practice, Michelle, Peter, and Ned walked over to Abraham as they started a little study session. Jade walked up to Lillian who was now sat alone, "You okay?" She asked.

Lillian sighed, "Yeah. Just upset that Elijah would even assume that would cheat, y'know." She said as she groaned, "I can't believe I was actually falling for him. He seemed like a genuine, sweet guy, but he turned out to be the opposite."

Jade sighed, "I know. We all thought the same thing, but we all knew you didn't want to hear it." She shrugged. "But hey, on the bright side you ended things with him before he became a total control freak."

Lillian scoffed, "Yeah." She mumbled as she took Jade's words in, realizing that she was right. She slowly started noticing how he tried to isolate her from her friends and hinting about how he didn't want her hanging around Peter the most out of her friends. She was only glad that she caught his true colors earlier.
