LILLIAN freaking out over her date with Elijah was an understatement. She had no idea what to wear, where they were going, or what to do. Her room was a complete mess, all of her clothes were thrown on her bed. The date was in a few hours and she still wasn't ready. She groaned in frustration almost wanting to call the whole date off. She couldn't ask her mother for help since she was at work for the night and her brother was too busy playing his game that he couldn't bother to help her out. She texted Jade for help, but wasn't very helpful since she was busy helping her dad with the house. She also asked for Michelle for help, but all she said was to wear whatever which also didn't really help her. Lillian sighed, marching her way over to Peter's apartment. She knocked on the door twice as she waited for the door to open, revealing a somewhat tired Peter.

"What-" She grabbed his wrist cutting his sentence short as she dragged him inside her apartment and into her room. "Lills, What's wrong?" He asked as she let go of his wrist.

She let out a deep breath, "I have a date tonight and I have no idea what to wear."

"You can't ask your mom for help or... Michelle or Jade?" He asked as he sat on her swivel chair beside her desk.

She shook her head, "My mom's at work, my brother's an idiot, Jade's busy, MJ wasn't very helpful either. Now, you're all I got." She threw her hands in exasperation. "So... I need your help." She said pleadingly.

"Okay." He sighed, "Wait- You have a date?" He asked in realization.

Lillian nodded, "Yes. Now help me pick out an outfit Peter, I don't really have that much time."

"With who? Where?"

"I don't know where with Elijah." She said as her eyebrows furrowed, "Are you gonna help me out or what?"

"Yeah, yeah." He mumbled as he stood up from the chair and walking over to her bed of clothes. "Here wear this." He said picking up a blue and white plaid summer dress and handing it to her.

She takes it in her hands as she throws her arms around Peter, giving him a thankful hug as it throws him off guard, "Thank you, you're a lifesaver." She smiled, letting go of the hug as she rushes to her bathroom, closing the door after her as she changes to the dress Peter picked out. She lightly brushed her hair out with her fingers to make it look more presentable. She put on some mascara and some chapstick, leaving the bathroom once she was done. "Does it look okay?" She asked giving him a little twirl.

He nodded giving her a closed lipped smile, "Yeah, you look pretty."

"Thank you." She said softly as she gave him a small smile. "Now what shoes?" She asked.

Peter rolled his eyes playfully, "Your white ones."

Lillian nodded as she put on some no-show socks and then her white keds on, "You sure this looks okay?" She asked fidgeting with her fingers nervously.

"Yes, Lills." Peter reassured with a small smile.

"Okay." She breathed out as she contemplated her next words. "C-Can you- Is it okay if you wait with me... 'til he gets here? I feel like I'll blow off the date if I'm alone."

"Y-Yeah, sure." He nodded, "I'll stay... and wait with you."

"Okay, thank you." She gave him a small thankful smile as she grabbed her small black backpack and phone, leaving her room with Peter following after her into the living room.

"So... when is your date coming?"

"In about thirty minutes." She breathed out nervously as she checked her phone.

Peter sat on the couch as the room filled with silence. He clicked his tongue, "Are you going to homecoming?" He asked curiously as he looked at Lillian who was staring at her phone cautiously.

Lillian hummed in response before answering, "Uh, yeah. You?" She asked looking up from her phone.

He shook his head, "I don't know."

Lillian's eyebrows furrowed, "You're not going to ask Liz?"She blurted out, her eyes widening slightly in realization.

"W-What?" He asked taken aback.

"Peter, everyone knows that you like Liz." She told him with a forced smile.

"Is it that obvious?"

"With the way that you stare at her, yeah." She muttered to herself as she looked down at her phone to see that Elijah had texted her that he's on his way up. "Oh my god."

"What?"

"He's on his way up." She said frantically as she started pacing back and forth.

"Lills, relax. You're going to be fine. It's just a date, just breathe." He reassured her.

"I forgot how to breathe." She chuckled nervously as she fanned herself, still pacing.

Peter walked up to Lillian, grabbing her shoulders gently to stop her in her tracks as he stared into her eyes with his soft chocolate ones. "Breathe." He said softly with a small smile, "If you need me, I'm here." He reassured her.

She nodded, pulling him in for a hug, "Thank you." She whispered as there was a knock on the door, interrupting their hug.

Peter let go of the hug, "That's probably him. I'll open the door while you calm yourself down." He said softly as Lillian nodded. Peter walked up to the door, opening it as it revealed Elijah.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I thought Lilly lived here." Elijah apologized.

"N-No she does. I was just- I'm gonna go. She's inside, but she'll be out in a sec." Peter said as he made his way to his apartment.

"Oh, okay." Elijah nodded, "You live across her?" He asked as Peter opened his door.

"Yeah, since we were kids." Peter nodded with a forced smile.

Elijah eyebrows furrowed, "Huh."

"Okay, let's go." Lillian said as she closed the door after her.

Elijah smiled at her, "You look beautiful." He complimented as Peter rolled his eyes whilst going inside his apartment, shutting the door after him.

"Thank you." She smiled as her cheeks turned a light shade of pink.

...

ELIJAH took Lillian out for a little picnic and a stroll afterwards for their date. They walked through the park as Elijah was taking the long way to walk her back home.

"I was wondering..." He paused, "if maybe, you could be my girlfriend?" He asked looking at her with hope in his eyes.

Lillian's smile beamed as she looked up at him, "Yes." She said intertwining her fingers with his.

He smiled as his eyes lit up with joy, looking forward he noticed a suspicious man with a hoodie covering his face walking toward them.

"Lilly, stay calm and stay close to me okay?" Elijah whispered sternly as he tried to act casual.

"O-Okay?" Lillian said her voice dripping with slight fear as Elijah slightly pushed her behind him protectively.

"Give me your money, now." The man spat as he held out a gun threateningly toward him.

"Sir, we don't have any money. We're just kids." Elijah spoke.

The man snatched Lillian out of Elijah's grasp, pointing the gun toward her as she shut her eyes tightly in fear. "Give me your money or I'll put a scratch on your pretty girl's face," He spat coldly as he sniffed Lillian's hair, "You look like fun toy." He whispered in her ear as she whimpered.

"Just let her go." Elijah demanded as a string of web flew onto the gun.

"I'll be taking that." A voice called out tugging on the web as it snatched the gun away, jumping down to the ground.

Elijah pulled Lillian away from the man's grasp as they watched the man in red and blue standing in front of them. The older man pulled out a pocket knife as Spider-Man raised his hands in surrender, "I-Is that a knife? Is that a real knife?" Spider-Man asked sarcastically in fear.

"Yes, it's a real knife." The man spat out angrily.

Spider-Man shook his head, looking away from the pocket knife, "My weakness... it's small knives, anything but knives." He said dramatically. "Zoink!" He said as he thwipped a web, snatching the knife away from the man's hands as Spider-Man threw a punch at the man's face to knock him out. He webbed the man's hands against the ground so he wouldn't run away once the police came to get him. Spider-Man pivoted toward the couple clearing his throat once he realized Lillian was in front of him. "Are you-you okay?" He asked as Lillian nodded whilst staring at him in awe.

"Thanks, man." Elijah breathed out in relief.

Spider-Man shook his head lightly, breaking his gaze with Lillian as he looked over at Elijah, "I-It's uh, no problem. Stay safe." He said in a slight deep voice, giving them a little nod with a two finger salute goodbye as he quickly swung away from them.

As Elijah continued to walk a star-stuck Lillian back home she was lost in thought as she kept thinking that Spider-Man's voice sounded oddly familiar.
