"Oh, yes. Little Joey loves being in his pen. He actually cries when we take him out, so we leave him in there all the time—it seems to make him happy. I hope you two like meatloaf." Mrs. Baines says as she sighs—a tired smile on her face. Marty shakes his head, "We really should.. uh.. be going." Darleen nods in agreement. "Now, you two—I won't be taking no for an answer. You sit down and have dinner with us."

"Sit here Marty." Lorraine says—beckoning Marty to the empty seat next to hers. Marty glances at Darleen nervously before walking over and sitting next to the other girl. Darleen walks over and sits across from Mrs. Baines. A plate of meatloaf sits in front of everyone. Marty furrows his brow—the meatloaf looks familiar like the one he and Darleen had for dinner—in fact—the whole dinner is the same as the one from 1985!

Mr. Baines rolls in a new television set on a plywood dolly that he made himself. "Oh boy!" Milton exclaims happily. Mr. Baines fiddles with the rabbit ears which brings in a muddy image of a commercial. It's a cigarette commercial, "Look at that! Crystal clear picture! Why would anyone wanna go to the movies when you can just see this at home—for free!" Lorraine looks at Marty.

"Our first television set. Dad picked it up today. Do you have a television?" Marty nods, "Yeah, two of 'em—so does Darleen." Milton's eyes light up, "Wow, you guys must be rich!" Mrs. Baines smiles warmly at her son, "Milton, he's just teasing, nobody has two television sets." A show, 'The Honeymooners', has resumed. It's the classic 'Man From Space' episode. "Hey! I've seen this one—this is a good one." Darleen's brows quirk as she looks at Marty.

"Isn't this the one where he dresses up as like an astronaut?" She asks, Marty nods happily as Darleen smiles. The family look at the two with confused faces, "What do you mean, you've seen it? It's brand new." Milton says resulting in the two best friends quickly trying to change the subject. "Uh—we um.." Marty stumbles over his words, "We saw it on a rerun." Darleen says quickly. "What's a rerun?" Milton asks, "You'll find out." Marty says.

Mr. Baines holds his hand up, "Quiet! I wanna hear this!" Mrs. Baines seems to be focused on Marty, "Marty, there's something very familiar about you. Do I know your mother?" Marty smiles weakly, "Uh, yeah... I think you do." He glances at Lorraine. Mrs. Baines looks at Darleen, "And you too Darleen, there's something very familiar about the two of you."

Darleen waves it off, "Eh, maybe you do, maybe you don't." Mrs. Baines looks at them, "Well, I'd like to give them a call so that they know you two are alright." Marty held up his hands in protest, "You can't! Um—there's no one at home... yet." He pulls out the page—that Darleen had ripped from the phone book—out of his pocket. "Could you tell me where Riverside drive is?" Mr. Baines doesn't look away from the screen, "Riverside? Sure, it's on the east end of town, a block past maple."

"A block past maple? But that's John F. Kennedy drive." Marty replies, Darleen kicks at his feet, he looks at her only to have Mr. Baines answer him, "Pardon me?" Marty looks at him, "That's.. John F. Kennedy drive." Mr. Baines furrows his browns, "Who the hell is John F. Kennedy?" Darleen face palms as Marty realizes the problem, "Oh, you don't know him." Lorraine buts into the conversation.

"Mother, with Marty's parents out of town, don't you think he should spend the night? After all—dad almost killed him with the car." She gives him a flirtatious smile, Darleen cleared her throat, "Oh, and Darleen too.." Mrs. Baines looks at the two of them, "Lorraine is right. You two should spend the night. You're our responsibility now." Darleen slowly shakes her head, "Uh, gee I dunno." Marty says.

"And he can sleep in my room." Lorraine says as she places her hand on Marty's thigh before squeezing, making Marty jump to him feet. "Uh, actually.. we should get going." Marty motions to the door with his head. Darleen nods and gets up. They head to the door, slowly backing up, "Thank you for everything." Darleen says with a smile. "We'll see you later." Marty says as he walks out, "Much later." Darleen says resulting in Marty pulling her out of the house.

"Such strange kids." Mrs. Baines says as Lorraine sighed with lust filled eyes.

——

As the two walked, Marty held the ripped paper in his hand. "It should be just up ahead." He says to Darleen, almost as if to reassure her. She nods as she keeps her head forward and sees the huge and beautiful house. Marty checks the address on the paper—he recognizes the garage door—seeing that it's the same one from 1985 except it's in better shape.

Marty rushes to the front door, having Darleen chase after him—after chasing him for most of the day, she just had to say something. "Marty can you please slow dow-" Having been going too fast, Darleen bumped into Marty's back. They both grunted on the impact, and Darleen fell on the ground as Marty fell against the wall. From all the sound coming from the two—a dog from inside the house started barking.

Darleen stood up from the ground with a grunt. Marty rubs the back of his neck, "Shit—sorry." Darleen shakes her head, "No sweat." At the end of their exchange—a young Doc Brown opened the door—an outrageous contraption on his head. The two teens are speechless, a different dog stands next to Doc. Marty and Darleen stare at the contraption before having Doc pull both of them in the house.

——

"Don't say a word!" Doc says as his dog barks, "Quiet, Copernicus! Down boy!" Darleen whispers to Marty, "Copernicus?" Marty shrugs. Doc attaches a suction cup to Marty's forehead which is connected to a wire into Brown's contraption. "Dr. Brown, I really—" Doc holds up his hand, "No, don't tell me anything—I'm going to read your mind. And you, sit down also." Darleen sits down quickly. Marty stays quiet, Doc flips a switch on his "Brain Wave Analyzer." It hums to life—Doc concentrates—as if he's picking up brain waves.

"Let's see now... you've come here from a great distance." Marty nods as Darleen watches—intrigued to see if it works. "Because... you want me to—buy a subscription to Saturday Evening Post!" Marty shakes his head, "No—" Doc stops him, "Don't tell me! Donations! You're collecting donations for the Coast Guard Youth Auxiliary!" Marty sighs, "No." Doc's brows furrow, "Are you here to use the bathroom?"

Marty rips the suction cup off, "Dr. Brown, listen—we're from the future. We both came here in a time machine you invented." Darleen nodded, "And now we desperately need you to help us get back to the year 1985."
