—in medical school, they teach about almost every known disease, virus, treatment, and cures. They teach you how to insert an iv properly, to take a correct temperature, and how to give correct dosages. But what they don't teach you, is how the society of an hospital actually works. And nothing Verity Salem Attwood could have learned at John Hopkins Medical school prepare her for her first year at Edenbrook Hospital.

—but three years later, Verity Attwood had survived. There were hardships, struggles, loss, depression. But she fought all of those things, proving to be the brightest mind of her generation.

—near the end of her first year, she was faced with almost losing her license. But she had successfully maintained it, however her unofficially lover, Dr. Ethan Ramsey; feld to the Amazon in fear of affecting Verity's career. This left Verity in a state of shock and depression. She spent alot of time questioning herself worth during her last two months as an intern.

—her second year began with the reappearance of Ethan Ramsey and her joining of the Dignostics team. The two tried their best to deny their feelings for eachother as Verity tries to navigate being the newest and youngest member of the team, while also helping and teaching her own intern.

—not long after beginning, finances of Edenbrook begin to become a problem. Verity and Ethan work together to try to come up with a solid solution, but get caught in each other's cross fire.

—after six months of being a resident, Verity is caught in an bioterrorist attack;  forcing Ethan Ramsey to work along side his ex-bestfriend, Tobias Carrick, in hopes of saving her. She and Rafael fortunately live, but others weren't so lucky. Ethan decides to quit denying his feelings for her and finally tells her how he really feels.

—but unfortunately, finances were still a problem. By the end of the year, Edenbrook is forced to close down; leaving Verity at a crossroads. But Leland Bloom, a wealthy business man in the tech field and former patient, decides to fund Edenbrook in hopes of curing his wife.

—but that wasn't the end of her problems. Boards were around the corner and she realized just how much she had been dreading them. But, luckily for her, her friends, her older brother, and Ethan were there to help her prepare. Verity had completed her boards and received one of the highest grades in the United States. She ended her second year off on a good note.

—verity's third year proved to be no small task. With Leland Bloom remodeling Edenbrook completely, she'll have to relearn her way around the once familiar hospital. Her younger sister, Venus had just begun her intern year as a pediatric physician in Edenbrook. And with the loss of some original members of the Dignostics team, leaving Verity and Ethan to be the last standing members of the original team.

—not long after Harper Emery and Tobias Carrick, Ethan's ex and ex-bestfriend, join the team; Ethan is facing a lawsuit. Verity was incredibly worried about her lovers future and helped him prepare every step of the way.

—with Ethan's lawsuit and co-running the Dignostics team, Verity definitely didn't need anymore stress. But the universe had other plans. Meredith and Gabriel Attwood decide its time to move on to their next chapter in their lives. With all of their children grown and far from home, they decide to sell the four bedroom house. Verity and Venus are left in shambles at the loss of their childhood home, but are surprised to learn that their parents are considering moving to Boston to be closer to them.

—after long hours of worrying, Ethan's lawsuit was dropped; but that price did not come free. With the Cheif of Medicine, Naveen Banerji, now being forced to retire; Ethan is chosen as his predecessor. Leaving the Dignostics team to Verity Salem Attwood. The young woman was thrilled of course, but nervous for the heavy responsibility. But Ethan was there to guide and teach her everything she needed to know.
